Bij Willy in Oud-Strijp

We had an absolutely delicious meal here!! The four of us had the Shared Dinner, and it was fantastic! The menu says dessert is included, but it also includes appetizers. You really got your money's worth! Everything was delicious! The ambiance is also absolutely fantastic! As "oldies," it made us feel nostalgic: an old rotary phone on every table, beautiful records on the wall, a real telephone switchboard (one of us used to use one!) And it's the details that are so nice: the bill arrived in an old-fashioned phone book! The staff is all, without exception, super friendly. We haven't had such a great time out in a long time!

It was fun, but I'm tired of reviews, or something. As Simone said: "Opinion is the lowest form of knowledge." Maybe that's how I'm thirsty for something higher. See, that's how one finds oneself in such a commentary.

I used to like this place and go for an occational coffee since it's in my neighbourhood. However, the last time I went to have some food, I was treated really disrespectfully by the manager. I was at the toilet and she came banging the door of the toilet and demanding that I get out of the toilet as soon as possible. When I complained about the disrespectful behavior they refused to serve me any further, while the correct thing to do was to offer an apology. As a result my mood got ruined and didn't want to stay any longer at this place. Therefore, I paid my bill and went to another restaurant nearby to have a beer. The way I was treated is unacceptable for the standards of the hospitality industry. Given the disrespectful way I was treated as a customer I am not planning to go to this place ever again. I prefer to spend my money at other places.

very good sandwich but confusing if you don't speak/read Dutch or if no one is at the counter for receiving payment.
