It was a restaurant we quickly chose when we didn't have much time in Amsterdam. The service was fast, the prices were average, the taste was 5.5/10

I ate a steak there. It was delicious and well priced, and was served quickly. Maybe a bit too loud, but that's the customers' fault.

We were in Amsterdam for a few days and we have been so many time over the years. We fancied a proper dinner, as it is always easy to end up grabbing pizza, chips, snacks and desserts as you wander the city. I have seen that there are lots of Argentinian Steak places around in certain areas, so figured they must be ok. After my meal at this place, I have concluded that they are tourist traps. The T-Bone steak wasn’t great. It had a flavour like salty ham at a Brazilian churrascaria and I asked for it medium, it was almost very well done. All these signs say it is not a proper steak house. The fries were also not real, frozen chips. I expect better when paying €50 per head for a meal. Avoid this place if you want a proper, decent, steak dinner.

HORRIBLE. When you go out to eat, you pay for an experience. That experience is usually made up of the atmosphere, the service, and the food. Without warning or consulting us, they brought us the bill and the POSNET. The place was closing at midnight, and this happened at 11:30 p.m. They're unlucky.

The place is considered to be in the center of Amsterdam. The service staff was attentive. We ordered steak with mantrar sauce, chicken salad and bread with garlic sauce. It was very delicious and hot.

The food is very good, the staff are very kind and friendly.

Really great. Very nice service. Cool guys. Drinks came quickly. We had 2 empanadas. They were a dream. Real! Even 2 plates to share. No problem. Really brilliant for a tourist hot pot. Prices ok too. Feel free to come here.

Restaurant with an intimate atmosphere. We chose the steak with pepper sauce and the sirloin steak with béarnaise sauce accompanied by fries and salad. Without a doubt, the sirloin steak was better. Tasty food. I recommend it.

A magnificently flavored grilled meat with a tenderness that can be cut with a fork, simple and effective. (Yet first price of beef on the menu). Finally, given the quality of the meat the price is not excessive.

On the road that leads to Dam there are various similar places. Simple and based on meat, it offers a decent choice at average prices. Personally I ate well, but the service left something to be desired... listless and with little interest in the customer, but still eager for a tip... I didn't like this side. The meat dishes arrive without a minimum of side dish or accompaniment, which must therefore be ordered separately!

I recently visited at Argentinos and had a disappointing experience due to an incident involving a waiter who displayed discriminatory behavior. It was disheartening to witness such discrimination in a hospitality setting. What made it worse was the owner's decision to support the waiter instead of addressing the issue, leaving me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. While the hotel has potential, this incident overshadowed my visit. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works towards creating a more inclusive environment for all guests. Until then, I cannot recommend this hotel.

The steak was okay but i guess the name of the restaurant Argentinos is a bit misleading considering none of the staff is, the steak lacked chimichouri or anything, and the music was also out of place.

Uncomfortable experience. A senior waiter knocked down the glass of Aperol spritz on the table while serving me beef ribs; he duly replaced it with a new one. Later he charged us for it! When we confronted him that it wasn't out mistake, he was rude, and spoke arrogantly, lying that the glass broke because of us. Not recommended.

We saw the menu and went inside but as soon as we entered the tall waiter asked us to please sit on a different table and started giving weird look. Then while serving food he pushed the wine glass which broke and later he blamed it on us the glass particle was not cleared poperly it was also on the salad which we were eating .. me and my husband told him politely that its your mistake but he started shouting. Overall the experice was really bad. Please dont go in this place the waiters are rude and aggressive.

We were invited inside by the manager when we stopped to read the menu. We ordered the steak + grilled chicken set meals. The food was quite good for a reasonable price. However, the way they treat customers is absurd. The young waiter who served us was kind. Later, an older waiter came and brought us the bill—before we had even asked for it. We were still eating, and we hadn’t even started our drinks. When we asked why we were getting the bill so soon, he pointed at the queue of people waiting for a table (20 minutes earlier, when we arrived, there was no queue). Additionally, when we decided to pay, he pointed directly at the tip section, as if to make sure we wouldn’t overlook it. It felt uncomfortable to be pressured into finishing our meal as quickly as possible. This was the first time we had experienced something like this. Moreover, there were at least two tables where customers were just sitting with drinks, so if the staff cared about table turnover, they should have focused on those guests first. I do not recommend this place.

I can't describe it. I'm grateful for every meal but this was so cruel. The steak was completely raw and had a very musty smell. The ribs were also a disaster. Old...dry...inedible and then we were ripped off with the bill. Hands off!

Was really hungry so we came here for a burger and chips. Prices were decent and although I wasn't sure what to expect, the burger was actually very well cooked and with a generous portion of fries which were great. Would happily recommend as the building was clean, nicely decorated and staff were very friendly.

It's definitely worth eating here. The steak was delicious and the fries were good too. The burgers also really tasted good. Unfortunately, the older waiter was really unfriendly... we didn't give him any reason to be so unfriendly. Since we mostly spoke Polish among ourselves, we can only assume his reasons. He even tried to grab the menu out of my hands even though I was still choosing. Because of his rude behavior, we only gave a small tip, but of course he only responded rudely. He was super friendly with the guests at the next table, with whom he spoke in his language (not Dutch). The second waiter was friendly to everyone the whole time.

Ordered lasagne and it came cold so I told the waiter who took it away and warmed it up in the microwaved and bought it back 2 minutes later. If I wanted microwaved food I would have stayed at home . Avoid as clearly done care about quality of food served

We visit Argentinos, Damstraat 34, when we visit Amsterdam. It does very good steaks. We had our usual fillet steak with chips. For starters we had beef empanadas and dessert warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream, dulce de leche and chocolate mousse. I think I've mentioned before it would be nice if they did fries rather than chunky chips. The salad is a little bland, but I don't eat it. If you have a starter they don't give you clean cutlery for the mains. 🤔 Hmm! They could also do with brightening the interior. Given 5 stars for the quick service and quality of the food.

Starters that make no sense. A random person from the street would make it taste and present better. As a waiter, I would cry if I had to walk out of these types of dishes.

I stopped by for dinner on a rainy day during the weekend. The portion was acceptable and the steak tasted like an average steak salad, similar to the steak salad you get at a Hong Kong fast food restaurant. If you are this tourist, you can choose other better restaurants. The store is on the tourist street of Damstraat, with many restaurants nearby. The price is on the expensive side.

HORRIBLE, restaurant in a good location BUT really average reception, the staff is not friendly and expeditious. The meat was good but minimal quantity and for the fries too (big eaters definitely refrain). The waiter removed a barely empty glass three times even though we had taken a carafe of wine. We had not yet finished eating when the bill was already on the table. They came several times to ask us if we were paying by card or cash in order to rush us to pay and CLEAR! I don't recommend this restaurant at all, move on.

The service here is absolutely terrible. The waiter was literally rude and was annoyed because we entered with a baby stroller. They also messed up a lot with the order of many of those around us.

Mostly decent dark little steak-house with ceiling fans, padded walls and an almost cool, comfortable 70s vibe. Understated decor — they could try a little harder to honest. It doesn't have a lot of personality. But it's OK. I felt comfortable here, and that's important. The staff were not massively forthcoming or enthusiastic though, which did miff me a little. I ordered a glass of red wine and a beef steak with chorizo and mustard sauce. It came with a salad and a baked potato and on the whole, it was good. The steak was excellent and the mustard sauce was even better — it took my breath away. Literally. It was hot as a mother. The place as a whole though, was kind of bland, the waiter was not remotely engaged and the salad had one olive. I mean, come on. One olive is much more of an insult than no olives. Oh, and there were little flies flitting about, for which I did not care. On the whole, pretty good but with lots of room for improvement. Not a place I'd seek out again, despite the sauce.

From the moment we arrived, we felt uncomfortable. The staff repeatedly stared at us, to the point where it felt like they were sizing us up. Before our food arrived, one staff member stood right behind my chair with his hand on it, listening in on our private conversation, which was incredibly intrusive. To make matters worse, while we were eating, I was bizarrely told to switch to another seat for no apparent reason, further disrupting the experience. When it came to the food, the ribs were overly sweet and sickly, and the salad looked nothing like the menu photos. While it did fill me up for the evening, the quality left much to be desired. The final interaction was the most off-putting. When the bill arrived, the older waiter made a point of highlighting the tip section and seemed displeased when I chose not to add one. He sulked, walked away without thanking us, and didn’t even say goodbye. This restaurant has potential with its fair pricing and ambiance, but the staff’s attitude and the food quality need serious improvement to make it a place worth recommending.

Initially I was hesitant to enter, being Argentinian, because I thought it was a bit like when abroad they write "Italian restaurant" and make you carbonara with cream. And instead..! Really super super good meat, the cooking was perfect and the flavor, I swear, took me back to Buenos Aires. The welcome was also excellent! Great food and great service at a reasonable price. I was expecting a rip off low quality tourist place but was pleasantly surprised by the food, service, and price. I never saw such a hamburger in my life and I don't mean this positive. I would not call this a hamburger the bread was the lowest quality I ever saw not even the sahara is so dry as the bread was. The lets call it patty had less taste than the bread. And except for a piece of cheese and ketchup there was nothing more on the hamburger. The potatao as a side dish was bigger than the hamburger itself. We are germans and from Hamburg we created the hamburger.

Péssimo atendimento do gerente/dono que nos atendeu. Pedimos um prato e ele trouxe dois alegando que havíamos pedido e que teríamos que pagar. Não demos prosseguimento e ele ainda ficou resmungando. Não recomendo e não tivemos uma boa experiência. A comida não vale o que eles cobram e ainda com um Péssimo atendimento.

The servers where super unfriendly, the portions and presentation of the food didn't match the price at all. Wouldn't come here again.

The food was great, but the landlord really screwed us over. We were offered a steak with fries and salad for €22.50 as a daily special. When I received the invoice, €35 was charged instead. Find another place, real rip off! For that money you could have eaten better somewhere else.

Als je van een goed stuk vlees houd kun je niet beter zitten, zeker als je prijs kwaliteit in acht neemt. De service kon beter, maar tegenwoordig heeft elk restaurant te kampen met personeelstekort dus dat is vergeven.
