At first bite, the meat melts in your mouth, revealing extraordinary tenderness. The flavor is intense, characterized by rich, toasted notes that unfold with every chew, while the long, lingering aftertaste leaves a pleasant, buttery, and complex sensation on the palate. This restaurant, which I've been living in Amsterdam for as long as I've been able to replicate, has been nearly impossible to replicate.

Good food, but the chicken wings were tasteless and some of the order was delayed.

Service and suggestions (steak sauces) were spot on. We had a fantastic evening and will come back again. It's casual, but cozy, so check it out if you're craving red meat.

We were at El Torado last night and were absolutely thrilled! We felt completely at ease from the very first minute. Food: The meat is simply fantastic! My steak was cooked to perfection – a wonderful crust on the outside, perfectly pink and incredibly juicy on the inside. The side dishes and sauces were also fresh, flavorful, and wonderfully balanced. Service: Extremely attentive, warm, and quick. The team gives great recommendations (both for the meat and the perfect wine pairing) and makes sure you have everything you need without being intrusive. Ambiance: Cozy, stylish, and with a great atmosphere that's perfect for a relaxed evening. If you're looking for a top-notch grill restaurant in Amsterdam, El Torado is a must. A quiet night but the food was exceptional- we have had steaks 3 nights in a row and my t bone was expertly cooked with the Gambas which was perfect. Very reasonable prices all round, I’ll be back!

The food was cooked quite well, but the price was rather high. Otherwise, it was good, though rather cold in the restaurant (drafty). The decor was nice, in keeping with the restaurant's style. I regret the lack of Argentinian/Uruguayan specialties.

What a wonderful experience this was. The food was fantastic from start to finish and exactly what we were looking for. Everything on the plate was fresh and tasted excellent. The steak was cooked perfectly with beautiful grill marks, exactly as a good steak should be. It was so delicious that the plate was completely empty afterwards. We stumbled in here at 11pm after a gig, with empty tummies and a love of true Argentinian food. Inside, we found the wonderful host and two true Argentinian patrons! The best ribs I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot), and a sumptuous burger, washed down with a pint and a wine. Delicious - and great service too, supported me with an allergy enquiry. Would absolutely recommend and would love to come again.

The staff were not dressed properly. The "waitress" was sitting two tables away, scrolling through her phone with her friend, watching us. We were the only customers. The service was prompt, the only good thing. The food was lukewarm and expensive. It wasn't very good but it made you hungry. I don't recommend this place. Bad value for money.

As i am not able to respond to reviews this will be my response to the owner. A bite was never taken from the meat. The picture shows the whole piece of steak we received. We cut into the meat and it was too raw for our liking so we did not proceed eating. After it was brought back. I took a bite from a small piece which tasted like charcoal. I am not confused, and an apology in person would have been nice instead of making us calculate how much we had to pay after we asked to split the bill for two. I would give this restaurant 0 stars stars if i could. My friend and I were so excited to eat some ribs and steaks. We saw the good reviews, please be aware THEY ARE FAKE!!!! Aint no ways anyone enjoyed that food. They gave a used fork, forgot our sauce and best of all the steak. Now, the steak where do we begin. First, we asked for medium well done. It was RAW, then we requested that it would be cooked just a bit more. It came back BURNT, Charcoal, i could taste the color. We said we didnt want another one because we saw lots of reviews saying that they were adding stuff to the receipts and charging people for things they did not purchase. We then get approached by the waiter who asks us where we are from. We asked him why and he responded we don't like it, it came back BURNT. And he said he tasted the meat and it was fine. Sir what do you mean you tasted it. He took the steak and turned it around to show even more BURNT meat. We didn't even know it was that burnt. Oh and he forgot our truffle mayo. Do not recommend!!

Food tastes okay but the portions we got were very small and very pricy. We paid 35 euros for 2 skewers that had 4 pieces of meat on it. Goulash soup tasted like tomato soup (maybe that's the Argentinian style, I am not sure) and had only one piece of meat in it. It was overpriced for what we got and the service was kind of slow
