Amazing food and service. The staff are truly brilliant and wonderful cannot recommend this place enough. Great prices, great service and ambiance. We absolutely love our chicken schnitzels and came back 2 nights in a row they were so good. Not big steak eaters but the steaks looked amazing as they went past, and smelt Devine too!

When walking in the streets of Amsterdam, you may find many Argentinian steak restaurants. For example, there is a row of them on Damstraat next to Dam Square. The main feature is that you may smell the aroma of meat as you pass by them. I have tried to understand why Argentinian steak restaurants are more common in Amsterdam. The general answer is that there is actually no special connection between the Netherlands or Amsterdam and Argentina in terms of cuisine. Decades ago when Argentinian steak restaurants became popular all over the world, many were opened in Amsterdam. However, it is not known why they became less common in other major cities in Central and Western Europe, but there are still many Argentinian steak restaurants in Amsterdam. The only thing that is certain is that Argentinian steak must be popular to a certain extent in Amsterdam, whether it is locals or tourists (that is why it still exists today). Carne (meaning meat in Spanish) located in Damstraat seems to be a popular restaurant on Google, but it was quite quiet when we arrived. The main dish we ordered directly, Plato de la casa, contained three different parts or cooking methods of beef. The taste of fillet and rib eye was hard to distinguish, and the taste and aroma were ordinary. The outer layer of the sausage was a little too burnt for me (or maybe this is the cooking feature of Argentine beef sausage?). Overall, it was ordinary, but the large pieces of meat on the plate were very suitable for customers who just wanted to eat meat (and roasted beef), and it was quite satisfying. The potatoes and lettuce selected were normal. There may be better choices for steak/meat itself, but if you are in Dam Square and just want to eat meat, you may consider it.

I ate Argantina beef but it was extremely faty. Prices were completely different between inside and outside, be careful. In addition don’t ask any bread because they are charging it as well. But location is good.

This was probably the best Spare Ribs I have ever had. My family had the fillet steak and were also star struck by the quality of the meat. A must recommend for anyone in Amsterdam and wanting to experience a world class meal! The service was also impeccable. All of our requirements were catered for to perfection.

The experience was 2/5 until the manager started pushing us to make a review. When we took a couple of minutes to scan his QR code, he grabbed my phone without my permission and review it himself with all 5 stars. This was really unnacetable and I suggest you not to go there to avoid such situation.

My visit to your restaurant was one of the most enjoyable experiences during my trip to Amsterdam. The atmosphere is elegant and the place is very comfortable. But what I enjoyed most was the delicious taste of the food, especially the steak – expertly prepared and cooked to perfection, tender, and the quality of the meat was truly excellent. I would like to thank Mr. Saeed for his hospitality and attention to detail – the treatment was elegant and made me feel like a special guest, not just a customer. Definitely a tourist trap. Reading the comments we wanted to be cautious and just order appetizers. We asked the server for recommendations and she recommended the calamari’s. They tasted like something that was taken out of the freezer and heated up.

Had an amazing time here — the meat plate I ordered was out of this world. Seriously, every bite was perfect. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. On top of that, the service was top-notch. After the customer finishes their meal and goes to pay, if they appear drunk or not in a normal state, the staff gives back less change. Since there are many foreigners in Amsterdam, they try to scam people discreetly, watching carefully for who might not notice. They gave me less change too, so I just stood there silently. Then they watched my reaction, and when they saw I noticed, they gave me the rest of the change. I don’t usually leave comments, but I’m writing this one because I don’t want others to go through the same experience.

A restaurant with a very cheerful atmosphere, lively music and bright interior lighting. The boss is very hospitable and friendly. My friend and I came here for the first time to dine here. We ordered grilled chicken wings and grilled mushrooms as appetizers and a 300g mixed platter of three grilled meats and a 400g churrascobde cuadril as main course. The portions were very filling and the meat was very juicy with good color, aroma and taste. We unexpectedly found that the boss was very easy-going. He even served us the onion rings that were accidentally sent to us by mistake. They were super delicious! ! ! ! We also provided drinks on the house later which was very thoughtful! Although there are many Argentinian restaurants in Amsterdam and I have eaten at many good ones, this one is particularly impressive. You can really become a regular customer after trying it! ! ! !

Shocked by the utter racism of their waiter outside. Wouldn’t show us the full menu, only the deals menu cause he thought we were poor. Kept asking us where we are from and wouldn’t believe it just cause of the colour of our skin. I wanted the meat to be well cooked without blood but they served a bloody steak, I guess it was very crowded so they couldn't serve quickly. Also, they charge your phone with money, just so you know.

We were skeptic in eating dinner here. But after seeing the excellent reviews we thought that were accurate not sure if the reviews given were correct. I am not knocking the place but the quality of the meats were not the best for the price paid. Also the mojito which my friend's wife ask for was very poor. They tried to make it better but they did not make it right. I know no place is perfect, but what really upsetted me a lot is when a establishment charges an outrages price for a below average dinner and they have the nerve to charge for the chimichurri and garlic sauce that should be part of the meal. Sorry Carne Argentina you deserve 2 star!! Shame on you Mo!!!

Disappointing experience in an Argentine restaurant. Unfortunately, this Argentine restaurant only has the name. We ordered two trays with a variety of meats, and to be honest, not even the roast chicken was good. The meats were rubbery and lacked flavor. Also, if you want sauces to improve the dish, they charge you extra, which is unacceptable. During our two weeks of travel, we visited several restaurants, including fast food options, and this was the one that disappointed me the most. And I can't fail to mention the service: it was terrible! The service did not live up to our expectations. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for an authentic Argentinian experience or good service.

Extremely disappointing experience. We came here based on the positive reviews, but it was a huge letdown. Only one waiter was friendly—the rest seemed indifferent and honestly a bit rude. The bar was a disaster; they clearly don’t know how to make a proper cocktail. And the food? Absolutely awful. We ordered the parillada and couldn't eat half of it. Would not recommend.
