Carne Argentina NL Dam Square Amsterdam is one of the best restaurants I have eaten at in the Netherlands. The owner is Egyptian and the food is excellent.

We were warmly welcomed at a table for six. We ordered a delicious mojito, which they made from scratch. The woman behind the bar was skilled. The food was deliciously grilled, and the gentleman was very cheerful and entertaining. It was truly a pleasure to eat here.

I was quite disappointed with my visit to Carne Argentina. The steak was not cooked the way I asked, and the empanadas were greasy with meat that had an odd taste. The service was very average and didn’t make up for the food experience. Overall, it was not what I expected.

Carne Argentina has a really fun and original decor – definitely something different. The grill was good, the meat was decent, and the taste was absolutely solid. Overall, the value for money was good, but it wasn't exactly a culinary highlight. Ultimately, it's a good restaurant with okay food, but lacking that special wow factor. Still worth a visit!

Would avoid if can. Not terrible but just average food and very poor service. Steaks had to get changed when brought out - ordered fillets and brought out ribeyes. Waiter tried to convince us that the order was correct until eventually agreed was wrong. Steaks however nice. Drinks got messed up - ordered 2 drinks and brought out 2 different drinks. When told waitress we wanted changed to what we asked for she refused and walked away. At the very end, presumably what was the owner at door asked how the experience was, we said not great, and he just shrugged his shoulders and laughed.
