Amazing!! Kara Age was sooo delicious, highly recommended. The veggie Tan Tan Men was also truly delicious. It was a bit too spicy for me at first, but they adjusted it after I pointed it out, and within a few minutes, my food was back with the perfect amount of spice! Super friendly people. Thank you, I'll definitely be back!

Staff is very accommodating and helpful. I ordered karaage and black tonkotsu ramen. The staff offered to adjust the level of saltiness of the ramen if I wanted, but I thought it was fine. The broth was good, but I wouldn't have minded if the black garlic had been a bit stronger. The restaurant is nicely decorated, modern, industrial and Asian mix.

We visited this restaurant because of its good review, and it didn’t disappoint us. The noodle came hot and the tonkatsu soup base was so creamy and yummy! I felt like I was in Japan! The staff were attentive and helpful. Definitely worth visiting!

This place serves the best ramen in town! 😋 I tried their most expensive bowl at 17.80€, and it was absolutely worth it. They even offer free chili oil, which was incredibly flavorful. 🔥 The takoyaki were perfectly crispy, with a delicious sauce that made the dish unforgettable.

The ramen was incredibly delicious. The portion was just right, even for those with a very large appetite. If desired, ingredients could be omitted or added.

So good! The ramen is excellent with a perfect texture 🤩 the broth too but you also have to try the ramen without broth! Everything we tried was perfect and we ate it twice during the stay! Addictive! I recommend it!!!

Not a good place to eat something like a "ramen". No flavors, no meat. Waste of time and money.

First time visit: Ika Geso age, Black Tonkotsu ramen (less cooked noodles), Tori Paitan ramen (no onions), Karashibi ramen, melon soda Highly recommend: Melon soda + Black Tonkotsu (less cooked noodles for those who eats slowly, medium thick noodles for those who eats fast + extra noodles), I'd say the black Tonkotsu is somewhere a solid 8.5+ out of 10. Not the best one ever, but def. one of the best in the Netherlands. Personal recommendation: Ika Geso age, not for everyone, but if you like ika like I do, please get do get it and ask for extra lemon! Up for debate: Tori Paitan ramen, less creamy and quite heavier in terms of aromas like ginger in the soup base and the chicken cha siu still had some stink. Def. not the best Tori Paitan I've ever had, but it is still pretty steady and solid, I'd say somewhere 8.0+ out of 10, easy. I liked it anyways, but I don't recommend this for someone who isn't into or used to this type of food. Be aware #1: Karashibi ramen - this is advertised as level 3 spicy, but if you are a veteran in spicy food, you will not taste anything at all and will be very disappointed!! Ask for extra spicy I guess? Be aware #2: Grilled pork cha siu is still smoky from charring from this Karashibi ramen, but it is quite skimpy (also in the black tonkotsu), so I would recommend to also get extra cha siu with it.

Great ramen restaurant with a lovely ambiance. The homemade ramen noodles taste excellent, the portions are absolutely generous, and the price-performance ratio is fair. The service was very fast and extremely friendly. We especially recommend the lychee soda – it's truly refreshing! Highly recommended, we'll be happy to come back.

This place is unreal. For over a year I had a few favorite places for ramen but I thought I'd try Tensai. It blew me away and it's now by far my #1. I had the black garlic ramen and spicy kaarage chicken. Both 10/10!

Best ramen in Rotterdam, correction, best ramen place ever! The chicken broth, cooked for 8 hours to perfection the pork broth cooked for over 10 hours both delivered the best smoky tastiest broth ever, with no added MSG. Pure unadulterated flavor served piping hot. The ramen was el dente and very tasty, the sous vide pork sliced and torched gave the perfect flavor as with the chicken thighs. Their side dishes were remarkably tasty and this place is definitely worth a visit. I stayed in Rotterdam 4 nights and had a meal there everyday during my stay. They have Kirin beer on tap, fresh and cold! Food aside, the staff are young energetic and ever so friendly. Love this place. Sad to leave Rotterdam. Fully recommend a visit for the tastiest ramen ever.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, while on our way to another restaurant. I immediately knew I had to change my plans, because even though I'd tried ramen many times in my travels, it had never seemed properly made. This ramen had a very intense flavor, perhaps a bit too much for me, but better to have too much than too little. Sure enough, this time I'd tasted the right ramen!

Coming from two ramen connoisseurs, the ramen here is really good!

We went to this place for dinner because of its excellent rating and glowing reviews, and they're absolutely spot on... We ordered the fried chicken and it was delicious, with a very peculiar but delicious coating. And then we had two ramen dishes: the black garlic Tonkotsu and the chicken one... Totally different but very delicious and flavorful. For me, the black garlic one was the best... That intense broth, the tender pork... Everything was very, very good!

A pleasantly air-conditioned restaurant where you can also have a conversation. Very friendly service, who advises you and even offers to adjust the dish to make it taste good: spice, garlic, saltiness. They also want to avoid throwing away food if it's too spicy. The chicken bites and pork gravy soup were excellent. The meat was tender, the egg was just soft-boiled. The broth and noodles form a creamy whole. The homemade kimchi is seasoned just right and only slightly spicy. I can say that it was the best ramen dish of my life and deserves the price they charge here.

The spicy ramen is very spicy, so I advise caution. It's a very unique place. Sitting at the bar, you can watch everything happening in the kitchen and how the ramen is being prepared.

Today, I tried eating at this ramen restaurant for the first time, after passing by it several times. The wait staff were very welcoming and efficient at their work, and the service was swift, I was able to place my order and receive my order within ten minutes of being seated. I sat at the counter and caught a glimpse of the effortless and efficient workflow and rapport between the staff; it was very pleasant to watch. I ordered the Shirunashi Tan Tan Men; the presentation was really elegant and the dish was really delicious as well! My first experience eating here was very memorable! I would recommend this place with no hesitation!

Hearty and tasty. Very quick cooking, convenient for takeout. The meat was a little fatty for my taste, but that's just a personal thing.

Very tasty ramen. We had Tonkotsu Ramen and Chicken Ramen! The Mayu sauce was a garlic sauce that added extra punch and depth. We also got a delicious chili oil to give the broth an extra kick. Simply wow. The meat was very tender, and the egg and vegetables were cooked to perfection. For starters, we had fried squid, which was also very good.

The employees are friendly to guests. We are happy at Tensai and definitely come back! Add point for Pets friendly restaurant. Dogs are allowed and welcome to be inside. Love it!

Very cozy restaurent in the center of the city. Soup tastes great as the soup is a bit thick and very flavourfull at thr same time. The noodle is handmade and you can clearly teste this in the texture of the noodle. Been here now many times and its always nice when coming back with my dog to eat Ramen.

Delicious Ramen, welcoming service! I had the vegetarian, creamy Miso Ramen which were really tasty! It’s a pity they don’t have a couple more vegetarian options, especially for the starters. The service was really kind and welcoming. There’s AC inside, which makes it comfortable to sit inside. Can recommend!

we passed by their sign saying that they make everything from scratch including their noodles. got our attention 😁 a lot of places these days will use a premade broth base which is fine, but i can do that at home! i've eaten a lot of ramen, including in japan, and this is the real deal here. we got the black tonkotsu and the tori paitan and they were both incredible. loved the ginger flavor in the paitan the sous vide meat had great texture and flavor, their ramen eggs (super important part of the bowl) were PERFECT. jammy yolk, creamy white... the only thing is that i wish the noodles were a little more al dente. but i bet if i had just asked, they would have done that the decor is really nice too! the wallpaper is soooo beautiful. and i love open kitchens. thanks for being a highlight of our trip!

Here's what we tried: Tori Paitan Ramen & Tori Miso Ramen: rich, creamy chicken bone broth (cooked for 8+ hours) that hits you with spicy, numbing, sesame flavours. The Tokyo-style medium-thick noodles were chewy and perfect for slurping! Kara-age: Don’t skip this! Juicy, crispy Japanese fried chicken thigh, lightly seasoned and served with Japanese mayo and a wedge of lemon. Crunchy on the outside, tender inside - total crowd-pleaser. Every bite felt authentic, warm, and deeply satisfying. Tensai is serving serious ramen magic - perfect for anyone chasing real Japanese flavours in the city!

The best ramen I've ever had! The broth is very smooth and delicious. My favorite is the Tan Tan Men, and it is AMAZING. The staff are very warm and welcoming, and the service is quite fast. If you want to remove something (like coriander or egg) or add something extra, they handle it very well. I love the bambus, karaage, and their Japanese beer as well. The best part? The portions are really big, and the prices are quite fair.

Pretty standard ramen, including the softness of the noodles, the broth(surprisingly not too heavy kind), chashu(a little bit too salty). Overall pretty standard, no too much surprising factor but also there is no “shock & confusion” from Asian fusion. No idea why I am eating ramen in Europe, maybe coz I haven’t back to Taiwan and kinda miss Asian food. Overall I would say it is a safe choice for ppl want to see what ramen tastes like. This is a standard example of what you should expect from a ramen.

The tonkotsu ramen was just as delicious as the one I had in Japan. But what I want to emphasize even more is how delicious the fried chicken was. Not even in Japan can you get such exquisite fried chicken, so I wanted to dedicate it to Noriko Sakai, who is in heaven, saying "Mammoth oi-pi," seriously. Finally, I want to say something about the gyozas: you're the only one who can't stand them; they're tough and not juicy.

I had a cold matcha (very nice for the price) and a ramen. Unfortunately I did not like it, since it was a new kinda of soup base for me. Buuuut… the lady serving me was so kind and understanding. She asked me if I wanted something else. More than the fact that she gave me this option, she handled it so smoothly and friendly. Thank you! Made my evening :) the fried chicken was very nice, so that’s why I give a 10/10 to the experience. I’ll come back again for a beer and the snacks just because of the kind service. PS: food was ready very quickly 🙏

If you could eat at one place in Rotterdam, I would recommend this. I have been coming here for years in the quality never changes. I recommend the black tonkatsu or tonkatsu ramen and the iced matcha tea if you like matcha.

Commercial atmosphere to push large volumes of customers through the store. Ordered black tonkotsu ramen. Noodles remind me of capellini from Soubry. Way too many noodles. Soup does not stick to the noodles, watery taste. Taste way too westernized, broth feels overly salty/MSG. Served with pork shoulder and pork belly chashu, both super tender but little (marinade) flavor in the meat. Nicely marinated egg. Overall bad experience, left more than 3/4 of the noodles/soup because of the soubry noodle feeling and the soup that was an attack on my salty taste buds.

It's a really good restaurant; most of the time there is a line outside, but it doesn't take long to get inside, and it's worth it. The food is amazing. :)

It was very yummy, very affordable. Friendly staff and beautiful interior. Will definitely come again. If you are going to order extra noodles though, maybe ask for some more broth because it kind of wasn't enough.
