Arzu North in Noord

Went here for brunch. Very nice, nicely decorated, friendly staff. They also have outdoor seating, and the food tastes fresh and delicious.

The pancakes were delicious, but very filling! We arrived hungry, but couldn't finish them.

The pancakes are nice and thick and fluffy. They're quite sweet, though, so you have to have a sweet tooth. The Yuna sandwich and eggy toast were delicious! Good options for vegetarians. Unfortunately, you have to order at the bar; no table service.

We'll definitely be back and bringing the rest of our family and friends. We solved the stress of choosing by choosing the tasting platter. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and told that once we'd made our choice, we could pass it on to the ladies serving drinks. No problem for us or the other guests. The food and drinks are brought to your table. Another great thing is that there are four menus per table, so you don't have to wait for each other. Choosing from all the delicious dishes they make can take a while.

Wonderful, a super nice place too. It's a good thing I don't live nearby, otherwise I'd definitely be there a lot! Yum yum 💕

It's a great place I've been enjoying for years. Unfortunately, the quality has really deteriorated. The acai bowl was very watery and expensive for the amount you get. Pancakes used to be better. And I find it really strange to have to place my order at the cash register. That's really unprofessional. Staff should just take it at your table.

Not only did the American pancakes and Dubai toast look amazing, they were also very delicious! The cappuccino was perfect and came with several little sweets. Great experience at this place

Delicious pancakes and good coffee!

A nice place that I often try to visit because of the pleasant atmosphere and the sweetest employees. The forest fruit pancakes and the tuna salad sandwich are recommended! The bars (especially white baklava) are also very tasty.

Just excellent breakfast. A bit expensive for the quantity provided but delicious food. Loved it.

The next disappointment was. Some of the food was good, the pancakes were good and tasty, but Shakshuka was a disappointment. Shakshuka is not tomato soup with cheese. The drinks weren't really cheap either. So for me, I just order pancakes here and take them home. And I want to go to a restaurant where there are no political statements of any kind.

Delicious food on a quiet Sunday afternoon. You choose your own table and order food & drinks at the bar (waiters do not come by to take your order). It tasted very good!!

Today was my first time and I really enjoyed it. Even though it was busy, we were kindly received and helped. They accidentally forgot to serve 2 dishes, but they kindly reported this and immediately apologized. We are not the most difficult and found it completely fine. Everything was super delicious, the pancakes, the loaded platter and the sandwiches (1 with scrabble eggs and 1 with avocado and egg). Oh and their homemade drinks are delicious! Highly recommended. They will definitely see me again!

I haven’t tried having lunch here yet, so I can’t judge that. But the food bars are definitely worth trying

First I drive to their location in West and it appears to be gone. When I call their location in North, they say on Google it says it is permanently closed, so not, see photo and it is also still indicated on their site. I say okay, I come to North and it turns out that it is also closed while I arrive at 17:40 and on Google it says 18:00, why is this business being handled so unprofessionally? I have been in the car for an hour in the rush hour on Friday, thanks!

I got several Bars today and it is 100% worth the hype. One is even tastier than the other. Staff super friendly, all lovely girls. And finally a very nice conversation with Arzu himself. We will definitely come back to play the card 😍

Amazing breakfast place! The eggie toast was to die for. So incredibly yummy and perfectly portioned!

We wanted to have lunch here with the family. My 2-year-old daughter wanted to eat an egg without everything because she has an allergy. This was not possible we had to choose something from the menu. Really very disappointing, even though at the bottom of the menu it says please indicate allergies. I will never come here again!!! The response below that it was about costs is completely untrue. Other customers also indicated that we were completely right about this. Only after indicating several times was the kitchen finally consulted. It wasn't about the price at all because we didn't even mention it, so don't lie about it. In the end it came down to the principle after several people asked for an omelet without anything on the side. We have been customers for years and the way we were helped and your response below means we are done with your case. Considering your reactions under 1 star reviews, it says enough that you cannot stand feedback and have to respond negatively to everything.

Nice place for breakfast or brunch, with good portions. The staff is friendly but it took way too long to get our food.

Cozy breakfast/brunch/lunch spot (I was there around 1030). It feels different that you have to go to the bar to order instead of someone coming to take the order at your table. Brioche with chicken piece is highly recommended (but a little too much sauce). Homemade sweets are added to the hot drinks. That's a nice little surprise. I took several flavors home as souvenirs.

I always enjoy coming to Arzu. You can enjoy delicious food there... We also visited today, it was on our schedule and we are looking forward to it. I arrived and without being welcomed I was immediately told that the kitchen would close at 4:00 PM... I was not used to this at Arzu because you were always warmly welcomed... The menu had changed and the popeye toast I always had was from the Menu…. So I had to look at what I wanted to take…. I came to a decision but a few minutes later I saw something new on the menu that I wanted to try…. I asked if I could change it and got an answer that they were already working on it…. It wasn't even 2 minutes... Of course I understand that employees have to close at a certain point, but the way in which it was done was not desired.... I left because I didn't feel welcome, which is a shame... I was always skeptical about people who work if you like to go somewhere and thought yes, I'll go for the food, which I like…. But today I believe that an employee can make a big difference in image... This does not alter the fact that Arzu is still the place to go if you want good food, but I now think twice about going there.

Arzu was always our favorite place, but the recent changes are unfortunately disappointing. Adjusting pancakes is no longer possible. For example, we were not allowed to replace Nutella with caramel, and now we are obliged to strictly adhere to the menu. This takes away the flexibility we valued so much. The portion of çılbır has become smaller, while prices have increased. This no longer feels like the same value for money. The Pancake has also changed: the floury, tasty texture of the past has unfortunately disappeared. This detracts from the quality we were used to. There is also no place to change a baby's diapers. This is a great loss for a restaurant where many families come. A simple changing station would easily solve this problem. We have always enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the delicious food at Arzu. That is precisely why we regret that these changes make our visit less pleasant. In the attachment what it was like in 2021. A huge shame!

Chicken toast was super tasty, 100% recommended. Apple pie pancake also delicious. Red velvet is also recommended. And ommelete wasn't anything special about ommelete or anything. They can present more with coffee And the case could also be nicer. Because those group 3 primary school chairs are really not comfortable for you.

One of our favorite brunch spots in Rotterdam. Super tasty pancakes, homemade caramel sauce and the brunch platter is definitely recommended. Delicious coffee and chocolate bars.

The pancakes are really unusually rich, especially with the caramel and vanilla sauce. It's way too much, unfortunately the pancakes have a kind of scone-like dough and are anything but fluffy. Hits your stomach like a stone. The savory toast with egg was okay but quite expensive for the quantity you get. Service wise, lovely ladies who work there, but you have to order yourself at the cash register. All in all, unfortunately not a returning customer here. Which is a shame as it is just around the corner from me.

Totally Not worth visiting. The main aim is making money here. Paid €50 for 2 tiny coffee with tasteless bread, and overhyped pancakes that didn’t taste as they should. Skip this place and go to somewhere else. The kids menu was terrible. Pancakes were not well baked on the inside. The eggy toast was a tiny quantity, that would not even suffice for a child, let alone an adult.

i had been avoiding this spot for some time, due to my severe allergy to hipsters. but that was a mistake it is small breakfast/brunch restaurant where i had one of the best toasts with scrambled eggs ever. if they can make such simple thing so tasty, you know you are at the correct place i still need to try their foodbars though, the tiny piece i got with my tea was delicious!

I’ve been a fairly regular visitor at Arzu for a few years now. They make great coffees, pancakes and sandwiches. The bars are delicious as well! Only point of improvement would be to bring back the 3 pancake stack instead of the 2 and to do something with the space in order to make it more inviting and cosy. The location in West feels more inviting than the one in Noord, especially the upstairs of the latter could do with some extra attention. Definitely becoming more and more on the more pricey side but other than that, great spot for a delicious breakfast/brunch/lunch!

Great place if you like pancakes. Unfortunately it was a bit burnt. Shakshuka was not tasty at all. Tastes differ.

Nice pancakes, the only thing is that I would prefer that they come with syrup instead of the caramel sauce. Coffee (from Giraffe) was good as well, I had the Americano.

phenomenal food, good music playing, great fast service and perfect casual vibe for breakfast or lunch. the eggie toast with feta and the pancakes were awesome - pancakes are more like a cross between buttermilk pancakes and american biscuits, thick and bready. really glad we found this spot and will go back again!! also, they offer punch cards - your tenth item is on the house :)

We went here for brunch and ordered vegan meals. Vegan options were quite limited, though. Very friendly staff nonetheless. The pancakes were bit crumbly and dry, and had some taste of baking soda or such. Oats were quite okay! So, nice place to with friendly staff. Food was not the best, but nice visit anyways!

Als je echt lekker wil eten, blijf weg van deze zaak. teveel nadruk op halal, biologisch en andere beperkingen op echt lekker eten. mijn dochter had deze tent gekozen, omdat het in de buurt was. Van alles op de menukaart bleven 3 gebakken eieren over. en zelfs dat hebben ze kunnen verzieken. Zacht ei juich ik toe, maar geen snot. De combinatie met dit gerecht is het best met wit brood, desnoods een brioche. Alleen serveren ze dit gerecht alleen met diep donker brood. mijn dochter had een gerecht met een brioche, echter werd mij verteld dat het vervangen van bruin brood door een brioche onmogelijk was. Mmmmm...

Very nice spot under the sun in Rotterdam North. Our first time and we did enjoy the breakfast and pancakes. Both made with love&passion and it’s very tasteful. We will be back soon

I like to come here for lunch. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is good and the service is friendly.

Looks very trendy, you can sit inside or on the small terrace. Inside you can choose to sit upstairs, which is quite spacious, but lots of flies so pretty annoying. The young staff is friendly and attentive. The food is unfortunately not so good. The pancakes didn’t taste like pancakes, but more like a combination of thick bread and crumble cakes. It didn’t taste awful, but definitely not tasty. It only looks good on pictures.

Enjoy sitting outside on the terrace in the summer. Tasty pancakes, good value for money.

Het is gevaarlijk om bij Arzu (Noord) om de hoek te wonen. Even alleen koffie drinken kan niet, de foodbars zijn verslavend lekker.

Arzu heeft tot nu toe naast alle tentjes cafeetjes die ik bezocht heb de meest lekkere pancakes🤌🏽🤌🏽 ik geniet er zo erg van. Ik heb ook vele andere Arzu aangeraden. Voor het drinken ben ik eerlijk in kan het beter. Maar het eten is echt 5/5

Arzu echt mijn favoriete plekje. De sfeer, het heerlijke eten. Wat gevarieerd en met aandacht en liefde geserveerd en gemaakt. De laatste tijden lijkt dit alles wat achteruit gegaan. De sfeer, de service en het eten. Afgelopen donderdag na lange tijd geweest en dacht Arzu hoeft voor mij niet meer. Eten halen bij de counter dat is voor mij al een no go als ik ergens ga eten. Jammer, want het was echt anders.

We had eggs with sucuk and salmon pancakes. The eggs with sucuk was below average and now that I look at the other’s photos of the same dish, we didn’t get any greens by neither plates while we paid same amount :\ The salmon pancake was better than the other but nothing special either. The presentationof this plate was also different from what I see in other’s reviews 👎🏻 We had a ginger tean which was ok and the coffee was good.

Niet voor herhaling vatbaar. Je moet zelf je eten halen bij de counter. Eten word wel uitgeserveerd. Je krijgt niet het gevoel dat je uit eten bent. Gitzwarte aangebrande pannenkoeken die volgens de serveerster zo hoorden. Hier heb ik iets van gezegd dat ik dit niet ging eten. Toen nieuwe gekregen. Ondanks de nieuwe pannenkoeken is het niet de moeite waard om hier normaals naartoe te gaan.

Normaliter komen we hier best vaak boor de bars maar de laatste aantal keren is het gewoon slecht. Een bar kost grofweg zo een 3 euro de stuk dus met 12 bars betaal je al gauw rond de 35 euro, wat prima is als je ook de hele bar krijgt. De bars passen niet meer in t doosje (ik zie niet hoe dat mijn probleem is) dus moet er een stuk af. En de stukjes die je niet mee krijgt, weet je wat daarmee gebeurt? Nou die gaan lekker naar de gene die daar komen om een kopje koffie te drinken. Die krijgen dan zo een stukje ernaast. Ook is er bij 1 van de bars helemaal geen bodem meegekomen. Belachelijk gewoon. Wij komen hier niet meer en ik raad andere ook om weg te blijven.

Goede service op een fijne en gezellige plek. Het eten en de drankjes waren heerlijk, voor herhaling vatbaar!

Loved the red velvet pancakes, to die for! Also lovely bars with delicious flavours, cappuccino with vegan milk option is delightful. They also have a range of vegan treats, and special boxes for Ramadan with dates. The staff is friendly and the space is cozy. Only advice, could do a bit better on decor.

Ik kom vaker bij Arzu. Deze keer was ik er met mijn gezin en bestelde ik een kids pancake. Blijkbaar stond er op het menu in een apart stukje dat alle pancakes met huisgemaakte stroop worden geserveerd. Direct onder de kids pancake stond als beschrijving alleen ‘met fruit’. Toen we de pancake kregen lustte mijn zoon de stroop niet. Je kon er helaas ook niet omheen, zoveel stroop zat erop. Toen ik het probleem aangaf werd er gezegd dat ze niks voor ons konden betekenen omdat het wel op de menukaart stond. Ik vind dit absoluut niet klant en kind vriendelijk.

Slechte service, pancakes waren koud en rouw, en dan nog zeggen dat het zo hoort. Daarnaast zijn de prijzen belachelijk hoog voor de kwaliteit die ze leveren

Omelet was koud, gesmolten kaas kwam hard aan. Pannenkoeken waren rauw, dit aangegeven en toch voor moeten betalen want medewerker was het er niet mee eens. Ga hier nooit meer terug! Bah.

Possibly one of the best places for pancakes. We tried the carrot cake version and there were literal carrot strips coated with caramel and topped with walnuts on it. Delicious! The eggs are good too. We tried the Arzu Egg. It’s a bunch of ingredients mashed into one omelette. Sandwiches contain the same bread the pancakes made of. And they taste much better on the pancakes, so best stick with that.
