Good food with plenty vegetarian options. The place can get quite busy and the service therefore a bit long but the staff is friendly and the atmosphere makes up for the wait We went for the Brioche miso mushroom (with extra scrambled eggs) and the pancakes. Can recommend!

We chose to sit outside right in front of the water. Great view only our table and chairs were quite slanted, which was quite uncomfortable. Food ordered via the QR code which is a convenient way to order quickly, but it was still a bit confusing. It took a while for our food and drinks to arrive. Sandwich was delicious and the children's pancakes too! However, I would rather have more options than just syrup, fruit and butter. Despite that still enjoyable!

I am never going here again. Bad service, pancakes you had to wait half an hour for. And then you get the pancakes on a broken plate. Scandalous.

Service is absolutely terrible, not even a hello or goodbye from the staff. Even when they look you right in the eye while you're leaving. Food is mediocre at best. You can get better from any of the other places walking distance from this place. Shame because the location is nice, but I wouldn't go again in a lifetime.

A nicely positioned breakfast/lunch/borrel place located at the river Rotte in Rotterdam’s Noordplein area. Seating inside, outside and by the water. They’ve got quite a breakfast menu with pretty much everything one could want. We had the scrambled eggs and got a decent portion. We found the bacon and the spinach with the breakfast quite nice; the mushrooms and the baked beans we were not so excited about. Somehow we had to pay €63 for two breakfasts with juice and coffee, which nearly blew us into the Rotte. The friendly staff and the quality of handmade coffee were great.

The last time I had breakfast here was with a friend and it was super delicious! This time it was a real disappointment. I had the egg & avocado with chili oil (which wasn't on it) with extra bacon for €4. I got 4 half slices of bacon with it, no bacon at all. 2 whole slices for an extra €4… ridiculous. The staff was very slow and didn't even come to check if everything was okay.

Super nice and warm place 🩷 I came here with my best friend for a lovely lunch together, we were served by Eloise (I think that was her name) and got a delicious Sunshine Smoothie Bowl from the chef. Enjoyed it immensely, would definitely come back here!

We visited Wolly. on a hot Saturday noon. We went there for brunch and because we liked the tarace with the fountain on the canal (it was an ideal cooling spot)! I had the fried chicken brioche and some fries to share. I was not happy with my choice, the chicken was a bit soaky and tasteless, while the avocado sauce was horrible. The rest of the group were okay with their choices! Overall, I had a positive experience mainly because of the tarace. Food is meh

Met up with an old holiday friend, hadn't seen her in 17 years. Had a lovely time catching up; the waitresses are friendly, but they are probably bartenders too. Drinks took quite a while, but that doesn't bother us at all, as we have a lot to catch up on. After a pastrami sandwich, which is highly recommended by the way!! Wowww! Took a long walk through the city, also highly recommended for guests who aren't from Rotterdam.

I really enjoyed sitting here by the water! Inside, it looked super cozy too, by the way. A nice place to go with your partner, friends, or the whole family. What I also really liked is that you can choose your own toppings for your pancakes. Plus, we had a tasty breakfast deal. Definitely recommended!

The chicken brioche is very tasty. It is not big, but it is flavorful. It can get very busy here on weekends, so be prepared to wait and sometimes even stand in line. The staff are just being themselves, which I really appreciate. They have good coffee machines.

Very nice quality and tasty sandwiches. I highly recommend their signature pastrami sandwich in particular. We also had an issue on our first visit which the owners went out of their way to solve, and I really appreciated that. Highly recommend!

Previous review: Used to be my favorite pancake place but then a lot of times it disappointed. Few examples. There was something weird in my pancake, almost looks like a cigarette burn. Waiting outside in the cold, you were not allowed to wait inside. Pancakes were very dry. Acoustically terrible inside. Sorry to say that we are not going here anymore. Updated review: Wolly responded very very well to our 1-star review. That says a lot about a company. We went there again and the breakfast and service were great (added picture). I am happy to share we will go here again and I am very happy with the way they treated our complaints. Chapeau!

Today, with unusually warm temperatures in the mid-twenties, it's a wonderful terrace overlooking the square and the water. The homemade breakfast of oatmeal with fresh cottage cheese and seasonal fruit is perfect for starting the day with energy. The young woman who waits on the tables is friendly, efficient, and polite. The prices are in line with what you'd expect in a Dutch city.

With these very high temperatures and no free seats on the terrace, a ventilation system was needed inside the room. It was scorching hot. The drinks were at room temperature... The chicken and avocado sandwich was dry, with little avocado cream. What a shame.

The chicken brioche bun was not as tasty as expected; I found the chicken dry.

Warm sunny day? Go brunch at their terrace plenty of tables with an attentive staff that takes care of your sit. I had to wait a while between the first drink order and the food. The cappuccino came without any sugar but it wasn't needed anyways! This place is also facing a beautiful view of the water with dancing swans around . Basically, recommended.

We've been coming to this place since before it was Wolly's. The atmosphere is very quiet, especially early in the morning (it gets very crowded on Saturday afternoons), and there's a breakfast menu with bread and eggs, filter coffee, mini croissants, and a small fruit basket (very good, but it's gotten smaller over time—shrinkflation?). The service isn't the fastest, even when the place is busy. In fact, it seems to me that each time it gets more and more sloppy, almost as if the customers are doing the place a favor...

A really lovely brunch spot, right by the water (especially in good weather). We had a delicious meal and great coffee (important!). Incredibly busy, though. There was quite a long line waiting for a table. That also meant we sometimes had to wait a bit longer for the otherwise excellent service, but that is entirely understandable. Definitely recommended!

We have eaten here twice now. Both times, unfortunately, the service was very poor. The last time, we waited 40 minutes for our lunch. After inquiring, it turned out they were busy, but suddenly it was on the table within 1 minute. This could, of course, be a coincidence. The food itself is adequate, but at 15 euros for a fairly small brioche, it is on the pricey side. You could call it overpriced. In short: a fine place to grab a quick bite to eat in itself, and at the same time symbolic of the Dutch hospitality industry. Paying top dollar for something that doesn't stick in your memory for a second, but looks nice on social media.

Brilliant place and delicious food!

I have been here before and it was great, but today was a holiday and a Monday and things were not as great. Everything was over salted and the pancakes were a little dry. Not sure if it’s a substitute chef on Monday’s or because it’s a holiday maybe? Drinks were all great though! I will be back but perhaps not on a Monday.

The food was very tasty, but some of the details were lacking, especially given the price. For example, the chai latte wasn’t served with a plate, and the glass was dirty from the drink having spilled over. The staff member who served us was very friendly. However, we didn’t receive any cutlery, and it was difficult to get someone’s attention to order another drink or ask for the cutlery. They were super busy, so I can imagine they miss a few things. Sadly, they were also out of the pastrami sandwich which was the main reason for our visit.

Didn't eat anything, not our taste. But had a cola and cappuccino. A strong cup. The atmosphere was busy with children. The light in the toilet was flickering terribly. We happened to be in the neighborhood, but next time we'll look around.

It was the best decision to stop at this beautiful place today for coffee and a snack—which quickly turned into two meals because everything on the menu sounded so tempting. The food absolutely lived up to the expectations. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. What really made this place stand out for us, though, was the beautiful and thoughtfully designed interior. Every detail seemed carefully considered, creating a unique, cozy atmosphere where you immediately feel comfortable. A true gem— we’d love to come back.

The quality has gone downhill since they became popular… I had lunch here when they first opened, and it was really good then, but when I was there yesterday, the food barely tasted of anything. I had the crispy chicken (the same order as the first time), and I think it was seasoned with water… because it had absolutely no flavor, like I was chewing on cardboard. The coleslaw was just as bland. The only thing that had any flavor was the avocado. And that for €15 (for, mind you, one brioche bun with two pieces of chicken, a tablespoon of coleslaw, and some avocado mash). My drink was mostly bitter instead of sweet (and over €5). It's a real shame that many places don't maintain their quality after they become busy and popular. If you really want a good lunch, you're better off walking to Oasis or Bar Dertien.

This is a really cozy, atmospheric place! We arrived on Sunday around 11/11:30, so luckily there were still plenty of seats. The service was friendly and fast. The food was truly delicious! I definitely recommend the salmon sandwich! I also had a guava lemonade with it, which was also delicious. Around 1 p.m. it started getting busy, and there was sometimes a queue outside.

I've had a delicious acai bowl here in the past. Yesterday I brought someone along, and the acai bowl was completely tasteless; the toppings were strange. There was almost no granola or nuts. We both didn't eat it, and the only solution they offered was another drink, even though we already had cappuccinos. A proper solution for food that doesn't taste good, doesn't it? Anyway. The acai basically tasted like water with a different texture. Seasonal fruit is fine, but apples and pears don't pair well with an acai bowl! Too bad... €25 in the trash.

I ordered acai here today, and it tasted like water. It was like they'd added two acai drops just for color. I told them it wasn't the usual and asked if they'd adjusted the recipe, but apparently, they hadn't. Instead of strawberry or blueberry, we got apple and pear with a teaspoon of granola! It was really disappointing, and to make up for it, they offered us a drink. It's a shame, because the acai is usually delicious.

Very beautiful environment with very kind staff. Delicious and well-prepared breakfast, we enjoyed it. Optional for vegan and vegetarian, also an optional for gluten free bread. I highly recommend it.

Perfect place for a quick, healthy bite, with excellent service and a good selection of vegan and vegetarian options. Love the idea of the refill coffee and also no additional cost in case non dairy milk is requested. We ordered coffee, chai latte with almond Milk, eggs with brioche and a sandwich with humus and mushrooms. Everything was delicious. Service was perfect.

Here you can enjoy exceptionally good coffee. The croissant with homemade jam is delicious. And all of this is accompanied by wonderful music.

Loved the cinnamon roll and coffee at this stylish diner. Its location on a corner facing the canal and a square make it particularly bright and sunny. The staff and decorating style both make the place warm and welcoming. They have several tables as well as bar seats where you can enjoy their extensive menu. We look forward to trying more of what they offer.

Unfortunately, after all the praise we'd heard, it wasn't great. Everything took a very long time, and we were literally crammed into a table that was too small. The quality was mediocre for the price. We'll look elsewhere for now.

I can’t say that the food left a memorable taste on my palate. I had a brioche sandwich with grilled eggplant, fresh greens, miso sauce, and cucumber, seasoned with b&w sesame. The main operator eggplant was not marinated/soaked to release its bitter juice so it got a low point from me. But the ambiance, well-attentive service team and even the Sunday jogging tribe gathering at the doorstep has elavated the experience to the next level.

Everything is legendary! The food is delicious. I've never had such soft bread and perfectly cooked eggs in my life. It's definitely one of the places that makes Rotterdam so enjoyable. I recommend it to everyone. (Also, the staff was very friendly and treated us well, even though we were tourists.)

Came here from the start and with great pleasure. But service was so bad last Sunday that I won't be coming back. Arrived 11.45, asked to sit outside but all reserved signs. Asked kindly if we could already sit down. Annoyed looking young man (never seen him there before) answers no, opens at 12. Ok we wait, he ignores us while other people get at least drinks served while waiting. After 20min of waiting, he gets back with a long annoyed face that we'll have to wait longer. Really? Is it too much to ask to let us just sit while we wait? I mean, I had a small baby with me that I was holding in my arms.

One of my favourite brunch spots in Rotterdam for already 5 years, but unfortunately I need to say that the portion sizes got smaller to a point that it is funny. Acai bowl decreased probably 3x in size, serving barely 1/4 of a banana. Otherwise matcha is great!

Lovely place close to the weekly Farmer's Market. It can get a bit busy, but that's for good reason. Food is really good! Yeah, it can be a tad underseasoned, but there's salt and pepper at the table. And it's nice you get to chose how many eggs you want on your soft and very delicious brioche!

The staff was incredibly helpful. I got exactly the right recommendation :). It's great that they're so responsive when you need help choosing something. You don't see that everywhere. The cappuccino was also just the right temperature and beautifully frothed. If you're in the area, definitely stop by!

Delicious sandwiches and refreshing lemonades with plenty of ice. There's a patio on the sidewalk and across the street under the trees. There's also plenty of room inside, but it's warmer there than outside in warm weather.

I've been several times (last year), but today was truly awful. I stood waiting for a few minutes at the entrance while I made eye contact with a waitress, but she preferred to chat with her acquaintance in the corner of the restaurant, next to the bar. (Something I learned in my time in the restaurant industry not to do, because customers come first.) And the restaurant wasn't even half full. I always come, or should I say, always came for the pastrami sandwich, because it was so good here. But this was far from good. And it's gotten even more expensive. 18 euros for a super dry pastrami sandwich, too much overpowering cheese, which had also been left whole in the oven for too long. A few bits of caramelized onion and horseradish mayo, which was there, but this time I couldn't taste it at all. No, I don't want to spend any more money here. The quality and service have deteriorated compared to all the previous times. Yet another tent in Rotterdam that initially does well but eventually loses its appeal.

Nice place with tasty food and a cozy atmosphere. The only downside was that we could no longer order breakfast a few minutes after 10:00 am. The waitress was chatting with her colleagues, so we were not helped immediately. Otherwise we would have been in time for breakfast.

This is a gem. It's nice that they also have wine on the menu, which makes the lunch a little more complete.

Food was delicious and you should definitely try the Kalamansi lemonade, never tasted something like that before! Inside it was a bit loud and crowded but the taste made up for that :)

Such a nice place. Good coffee, good food, lovely staff. I like coming there (just like the rest of Rotterdam on Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. 😅). Expect a line out the door at popular lunch times. A tip, given the location: more halal options, or indicate on the map what halal is.

Wolly is busy and cozy, perhaps a bit too hip for my taste, but that could also be a snapshot. The varied menu certainly has interesting dishes, based on what I saw being served here and there. We had Wolly's French toast. However, it was quite sweet and the combination of ingredients was not that successful. Shame! The service is otherwise very good. Wolly definitely has potential in my eyes. The floor plan can still be optimized (more tables instead of cumbersome benches, more logical routings, better use of m2) and also the finesse in the kitchen, although I say that based on 1 dish. I will definitely come again.

I have been participating regularly in the Wolly Morning Run since June. I usually stick around for breakfast. Very tasty, never disappoints. However, it is sometimes very busy so you have to wait a long time for your order. Hence I give 4 stars for service, but is still good. Anyway, the delicious food and the friendly owner still make the overall rating 5 stars! 😁

I really enjoyed the atmosphere at Wolly. There are plenty of food and drink options to choose from, and the portion sizes are quite generous compared to other places in the Netherlands. Normally, there’s a line to get in, but we were lucky and only had to wait about 10 minutes. The staff informed us there might be a slight delay with our food, and there was, but we appreciated the heads-up. The staff was friendly too. I definitely recommend this place and will be visiting again!

Nice atmosphere with perhaps some clumsy, bulky sofas, otherwise perfect with a reading table and newspapers. Staff super nice and attentive. However, I share my experience with croissants, for example, with a previous reviewer. old dry, supermarket level with a dollop of light flavored cream. Perhaps an incident just like the breakfast deal; bread with fried egg, but the underlying spread is pea puree where the flavor addition of avocado has been forgotten! I understand the cost saving deal, not the saving on ingredients. I give 5 stars for all criteria to stay in line with the many reviews that seem to deviate from the quality offered. Come on Wolly, you have to want better. Long waits for ordering are reported in advance at peak times, very good, but half an hour without anything, that's not necessary, is it? Reason for review, quality improvement win win😉with price level. I'll get there anyway. Please.
