Nice place with tasty food and a cozy atmosphere. The only downside was that we could no longer order breakfast a few minutes after 10:00 am. The waitress was chatting with her colleagues, so we were not helped immediately. Otherwise we would have been in time for breakfast.

Super tasty sandwiches and very attentive staff

This is a gem. It's nice that they also have wine on the menu, which makes the lunch a little more complete.

Lovely tent, definitely worth waiting for a spot. Filter coffee was great. And the French toast is highly recommended. Relaxed casual atmosphere.

Food was delicious and you should definitely try the Kalamansi lemonade, never tasted something like that before! Inside it was a bit loud and crowded but the taste made up for that :)

Such a nice place. Good coffee, good food, lovely staff. I like coming there (just like the rest of Rotterdam on Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. 😅). Expect a line out the door at popular lunch times. A tip, given the location: more halal options, or indicate on the map what halal is.

Wolly is busy and cozy, perhaps a bit too hip for my taste, but that could also be a snapshot. The varied menu certainly has interesting dishes, based on what I saw being served here and there. We had Wolly's French toast. However, it was quite sweet and the combination of ingredients was not that successful. Shame! The service is otherwise very good. Wolly definitely has potential in my eyes. The floor plan can still be optimized (more tables instead of cumbersome benches, more logical routings, better use of m2) and also the finesse in the kitchen, although I say that based on 1 dish. I will definitely come again.

I have been participating regularly in the Wolly Morning Run since June. I usually stick around for breakfast. Very tasty, never disappoints. However, it is sometimes very busy so you have to wait a long time for your order. Hence I give 4 stars for service, but is still good. Anyway, the delicious food and the friendly owner still make the overall rating 5 stars! 😁

After waiting 10 minutes for a seat and then waiting another 15 minutes to see if we would be helped, we left. Very customer unfriendly.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere at Wolly. There are plenty of food and drink options to choose from, and the portion sizes are quite generous compared to other places in the Netherlands. Normally, there’s a line to get in, but we were lucky and only had to wait about 10 minutes. The staff informed us there might be a slight delay with our food, and there was, but we appreciated the heads-up. The staff was friendly too. I definitely recommend this place and will be visiting again!

Nice atmosphere with perhaps some clumsy, bulky sofas, otherwise perfect with a reading table and newspapers. Staff super nice and attentive. However, I share my experience with croissants, for example, with a previous reviewer. old dry, supermarket level with a dollop of light flavored cream. Perhaps an incident just like the breakfast deal; bread with fried egg, but the underlying spread is pea puree where the flavor addition of avocado has been forgotten! I understand the cost saving deal, not the saving on ingredients. I give 5 stars for all criteria to stay in line with the many reviews that seem to deviate from the quality offered. Come on Wolly, you have to want better. Long waits for ordering are reported in advance at peak times, very good, but half an hour without anything, that's not necessary, is it? Reason for review, quality improvement win win😉with price level. I'll get there anyway. Please.

Very yummy spot for breakfast or brunch. Arrived and had to wait in line for a few minutes, so in rush hour, expect wait or a line, but will be worth it 👌 Please be mindful of seating arrangements as sometimes you must share the table with other parties. Food wise, we ordered 2 different sandwiches and they were both delicious, although it did take some time to get them and it's def on the expensive side. The picture below is from a 2nd time I came and tried the brioche, which is smaller than the sandwich, so if hungry, def go for the sandwich as they're a bigger portion. Also tried their French toast and it was sooooo good! Servers are really friendly and eager to help, although it takes some time to get their attention, especially if busy. Would def be back to try more menu options :)

Had delicious coffee. Always busy which emphasizes the success of this business. I really miss the cakes and the sweet options. Currently it is a cookie of the day or cinnamon roll.

Been here twice now, both times I was not very enthusiastic. The food tastes great and the service is friendly. However, things are moving very slowly here, it seems like the kitchen and bar are overwhelmed by the number of customers. Both toilets were dirty and in one there were fruit flies... You also walk away with the smell of frying in your clothes, which you hate, as if we had been frying in the snack bar all day, yuck... In the evening I had my stomach hurts - and I have a really strong stomach so I thought that was strange. Anyway, I might give it another chance in the future, but for now I'm done with it.

Nice menu, excellent food, I just think it's ridiculous that you can't pay in cash. Money is legal tender and you simply have to accept it!

I come to Wolly often and so far it has never disappointed! The menu is extensive and everything is tasty. The breakfast deal is also very worthwhile. Sometimes it is busy and you have to wait a while, but the staff works hard to keep everyone happy. However, the waiting times have never bothered me. Definitely recommended! :)

A good brunch spot. It was really busy (probably because it's a sunday) and i think that is why we had to wait a decent bit until our food arrived. the seating was pretty tight without much table space. the staff was very friendly and helpful. my girlfriend got the avocado and egg toast with an added croissant. she mentioned that the bread tasted a lot like "Zwieback" but had a softer and overall more enjoyable consistency. she said that that was a perfect match, because she enjoyes the taste of Zwieback. I had the pancakes with about 4 additions: nutella, caramelized peacan nuts, coconut and strawberries. the maple syrup and butter were included by default. the peacan nuts added great taste but made it a bit more difficult to eat. i couldn't really taste the coconut with my other additions. obviously the nutella and the strawberries were a perfect match, as expected. we also had a cappucino, which my girlfriend found too strong and a iced popcorn latte, which originally was meant for my girlfriend but she didn't enjoy the popcorn syrup used in the icey drink, so i drank it instead. it was a pleasant suprise, even though i usually do not enjoy such drinks.

Just had a drink and then left immediately. unfriendly staff member who clearly made eye contact back to order the food, but unfortunately he did not come and it took too long before we could place our order. Very unfortunate because we were looking forward to having a delicious lunch there.

We ordered two drinks there, after these two drinks we were ignored for 35 minutes, while there was eye contact several times to order food. After this I got up to pay and the two drinks were 11 euros. Ridiculously high price for 1 juice and 1 matcha. Very bad thing and not recommended. Don't go here

Got very good vibes of this place. Loved their interior, and friendly staff. I got the rib eye brioche and it was super good.

This had never happened to me in my life! Rude and unpleasant staff. When the waitresses understood that we were French, their behavior immediately changed. We got our drinks after 40 minutes (they were expensive and nothing extraordinary) as well as a mini cookie for 5 euros not exceeding 2 cm... we could already feel the deception coming. After more than an hour of waiting, we left... the dishes simply never arrived! The waitress, however, begged for us to pay for our dishes while she told us that only one of the three was ready in the kitchen. It was a resounding “no”. She then asks my friend to pay for her cookie (which she had not touched), my friend replies that she does not want to pay for it, not having consumed it, and the waitress directly told her that she did not had no choice but to pay: why ask? So I paid for our 3 drinks as well as the cookie: NO EXCUSE from this waitress. Once the payment was accepted, the latter didn't even say "goodbye", turned her back on me and left. Reading some comments, a similar experience has happened to other French people. Dear fellow citizens: do not bother going to this address (unless you want to pay a lot for more than average quality, deplorable service and a wait of well over an hour). In addition, this address is not in the center of the city so don't waste your time.

Slow, unfriendly service. Miserable staff. Slow kitchen. Cold, echoe-y atmosphere (Baby crying? Yes. Overhear conversations 3 tables away? Definitely.). Food is just overpriced toasties slathered with standard Dutch mystery sauce. Coffee is ok, but €4 for an espresso is London prices. Location is near the polluted, stinky river. Sidewalks around location are full of trash and dog waste, which is standard for the Dutch. Overall, an overrated, b a d service, boring Cafe.

Wolly organizes a Sunday morning social run during summer months, with croissant and coffee afterwards, which I very much enjoy! Afterwards grab their matcha vanille latte and one of their signature croissants. Just had the lavender one, and it was very good! Fresh, soft inside, crunchy outside, filled up with lots of gooey lavender cream. Unique taste and not overly sweet.

Wolly is a nice place for brunch, especially on a warm summer day when their terrace is just perfect. The food was fine, although a bit on the expensive side. The only downside was that it got quite busy, which seemed to overwhelm the kitchen, resulting in a longer wait time. However, the friendly and attentive staff made up for it, ensuring we still had a great time. Coffee was great!

Today 11-08 around 2:50 PM we called to ask if we could order food and that we were on our way so that we would not bother the kitchen because we had heard that the kitchen would close at 3:30 PM. We were told on the phone that this was not possible, but that we could come by and eat there. We were allowed to order if we were to pick up the food. We indicated that we would still order on the spot. This was no problem at all. We arrived there at 3:12 PM. We waited neatly in front of the entrance so that we could be assigned a table. The first lady who came asked how many of us were. After we indicated that there were 7 of us, you could see the fear in our eyes. The response was: "I need to discuss". After we indicated that we had come because we had been told on the telephone that this was possible, we were only given a table by another lady. This after quite a discussion between the staff inside while we were waiting at the door. We know that the kitchen closes at 3:30 PM. We have taken this into account. We also know that they close at 4:00 PM. So we already knew that extensive dining was not an option. Once at the table (with 5 chairs while there are 7 of us) we placed our order. 3 Pastrami sandwiches and 2 chicken sandwiches. The response from the server was: "Ooo, there are seven of you but you have 5 orders". Sharp, I thought to myself. I asked if we could also pass on our drinks. No, that was not possible, so we just had to wait until she came back. After 5 minutes we were told that there was no more pastrami. I indicated that we had called politely and that we came by after consultation and that I did not think this was polite. I could have outsourced a 20-minute drive to something else. The lady at the counter responds to this, while she was tapping on a device the entire time, with: "I can't do anything about that. You have not spoken to me, but to a colleague of mine. I will tell her ". Really an answer that is useful to you as a customer. While three ladies were neatly brought to a table just in front of us. My feeling is that: -We were treated this way because we arrived at kitchen closing time (after consultation) (20 minutes away). The service sends away a table of people who want to eat and drink for almost €100. What would the owner think of this? This all has to do with success. If your company is running well, one more or less table no longer matters. You send your customers away without looking back. We did not eat there. I cannot rate the food. However, the aftertaste of the service is so bitter that we have decided not to go there anymore.

Ashamed ! We arrived and had to wait 20 minutes to get our drinks and we never got our food! My friend had a cookie for €4, it was tiny and dry. In addition, we were forbidden to drink from our water bottles because “it was not correct” It is unacceptable, not even an excuse, nothing! In short, 0/10!

Annoying to have to leave a negative review, but the service was very unfriendly and deliberately unhelpful. Maybe we hit Wolly at a bad time, but I wouldn't recommend Wolly after this experience.

Hmmm, super tasty brioche sandwiches. Both the chicken and beef ones were delicious. It is a bit pricey, but you also get something very tasty. Pleasant service and nice decor. Recommended if you are in Rotterdam!

Very tasty sandwiches, we also had a chocolate cookie (not visible in the photo), which was super large and deliciously chewy. I had a chicken sandwich and my friend a ribeye sandwich both were really delicious. I will definitely come here more often and recommend it to everyone!

Took way too long for our food to arrive. The place was not busy. There may be insufficient staff, but please let us know in advance. It's okay to wait a little longer if you know in advance. Then we'll have something extra to drink or something... no problem. But I think it's a shame to say nothing and keep us waiting like this. Anyway.

When we arrived there was no special atmosphere, when we were told that we were French and therefore we didn't speak English very well it almost forced us to blow on the waitress made a loud noise. his mouth very explicit and didn't even try to understand what we were trying to say. At the time we ordered 2 drinks I couldn't have what I wanted because they didn't want to understand me for that I let it go later we wanted to order sandwiches but unfortunately I don't eat pork or I I'm allergic to a lot of things, I ask to pay an extra egg to replace the pork and it's refused to me in one go, no changes possible, so it's impossible to eat if you're "different", unfortunately the drinks ordered we had to pay without eating... we arrive at the checkout and we are informed that it is not only by menu no fairly explicit poster was not even indicated on the menu it is a big red flag (illegal) for this kind of place with a reputation on the networks I wonder why it's time to value compared to other places 1000X better like K-ea or soufflé coffee that we were able to do during our weekend. Atmosphere 0 Service 0 Price too expensive!!!

We have come to Woolly around 6-7 times. Unfortunately each time is less agreeable than the previous one. The worst part of it is the service. The two female waiters are the rudest and most unfriendly we have seen in Rotterdam scene. Their arrogance and unwelcoming attitude made us regret to have come. The space has a very inefficient distribution of tables and often it gets full quick. With a better organisation they could fit at least 60% more guest. They like to have a queue outside to show they are hype and often people are request to wait outside even if there are free tables. We are not the only guest who seem to be disappointed of the evolution of this place because we see that it is much less busy than months ago. Food takes very long but it tastes good most of the times. That is the only reason we still come every now and then. We will wait another 6 months before coming again and hopefully a renewed team of more cheerful waiters will run the place. This will be a much needed improvement.

The fact that you cannot pay in cash and this is not indicated is really a no go! The rest of the food was good, but very overdone. Nice for hipsters.

One of the best place for brunch in Rotterdam. Unfortunately the place is not that big and the queue to find a table can be long.

Today I ate at Wolly on the waterfront for the second time. Today I went for the almond/matcha croissant. We also had the French toast and nutella pancakes. For drinks we went for the cappuccino and iced latte popcorn. Everything tasted delicious and we were very satisfied! Too bad the lemon meringue croissant (special) is no longer available. It was soooo delicious! It is busy in the shop, and it may take a while before you get your coffee. But the atmosphere is good and the service is nice.

The eggs are cooked excellent, and you have the option to customize them (even with Kimchi). The guilty pleasure croissant is delicious. A bit in the pricy side, but definitely worth trying it.

Sitting in the sun, I had scrambled eggs with avocado on bread for me and two fried eggs with avocado for my girlfriend. Delicious ginger tea and tomato juice and a nice conversation with the table next to us. Friendly service!

Today Monday 06-05-24 we had lunch with my girlfriend. We've never been here before and heard we had to try it out. We ate and wanted to order something to drink before we left. There happens to be a clerk standing next to me taking an order. I wait quietly until she is ready and then I gently tap her on the elbow. Then get a lecture that she doesn't like it and I will then apologize. My girlfriend doesn't think the reaction is appropriate but otherwise keeps calm. It bothered me because I know the Rotterdam catering industry. I think it depends on my skin color. I paid and on the way out I saw a dark couple sitting at the table and I asked them if they were having problems with the service? They also had the same problem with the same servant, with not speaking in a friendly manner. I also reported it to the person I paid the bill to. Well, that's a shame, and this by Rotterdam standards!

Went here on a warm day in April. Good food, good coffee and polite (slightly lax) service on a busy day. However later we noticed that we have been charged over 10 euros for water. We had asked for tap water and we got still water instead without being informed. We had already paid and when we brought this to the notice of the staff they apologized but we did not get any refund. Perhaps not the best place in summers without free tap water :)

Wolly’s is a very cute café with a potentially great vibe, especially in the summer. Everyone is friendly and you have a nice choice of sandwiches and they also serve fresh juices and cocktails (perfect in the summer!!!) I will change my review to 5 stars when they do something about the sound isolation. It is one of the loudest cafés I have been too (I think sound carries due to the ceiling structure). This ruins the peaceful vibe and it can be overwhelming.

The food looked well presented! Service was nice and nice service there ;) Wonderful to read a newspaper there or go to work there, or just with friends.

Unfriendly staff. Not much food for the price you paid, ordered a brioche chicken, well you think you get a whole sandwich, you only get half for €13.50. She wanted to send us away as quickly as possible for other customers while we were just chatting quietly :( So we will never go here again.

Very cozy tent, often busy (logically!), but they do their best to get you a spot as quickly as possible. Pastrami and ribeye sandwich were very tasty. The homemade lemonades are also delicious!

Unfortunately, the experience at this lunch spot was somewhat disappointing. Although the coffee was okay, the croissant left something to be desired – not crunchy and far from fresh. Despite the claim of homemade, that authentic taste was missing. The atmosphere compensated somewhat, but overall disappointing.

Wolly exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere. The pastrami sandwich is a real treat for the senses, with tender and tasty meat. The combination of juicy pastrami, crispy bread and horseradish mayonnaise provides a flavor explosion in your mouth. Every time I take a bite, I taste the love and dedication with which Wolly prepares his dishes.

Delicious pita bread with mushrooms. Super tasty in terms of taste and sufficient quantity. I didn't necessarily expect that. I definitely didn't miss any meat. Worth repeating, because I saw several tasty orders passing by. Staff were friendly. We arrived around 11 a.m. and there was still room, if you come from 12 noon you will be in line. Unfortunately it is quite cramped inside when all tables are occupied. Wonderfully light and not cold.

Lovely place. There was a long waiting line to get in on a Saturday afternoon, and the downside is that they don’t take any bookings. Once in, the atmosphere was great and the food was fantastic! We had the brioche. The service time for food and orders was unusually long, even for a place that was full at capacity, i would expect to place orders and receive my food at half the time it took them. But the delicious food and friendly staff made up for the wait!

Nice meal. For 8.75 you can have a breakfast in the morning with all the trimmings, it was really worth our money & friendly service.

One of the most special places in Rotterdam, with crazy good sandwiches, a delicious free refill cup of coffee in a nice setting.

Had breakfast here for the first time and it was very nice! I actually always have breakfast in the city centre and for this time I wanted to have breakfast somewhere else. Apart from the location, it is a cosy restaurant. Nice to see how they have translated their branding into the coffee mugs, for example. Anyway my review on the food. We came here for breakfast, but they have an extensive menu with various breakfast/lunch dishes. We had the Acai bowl and it was fine. Perfect portion, not too cold and well filled. I had a filter coffee and it tasted good. Service is friendly. Only comment I have is that at some point -at lunchtime- it can be a bit noisy. But that's the only thing. I will definitely go here again!

Had lunch here a number of times. They have a nice lunch menu with a wide variety of dishes. In terms of quality, everything is in good order. The coffee and other drinks are also good. The disadvantage is that it can be very busy. Spontaneously walking in at lunchtime is a challenge because it is by no means certain whether there will be room. Due to the enormous crowds, I also had to wait a very long time before the order was served the last time. For a quick lunch I would go somewhere else. If, on the other hand, you have the time and just want to have a nice lunch, then you have come to the right place.

Very nice place that is completely typical Rotterdam North. A chill environment with a relaxed atmosphere where you can eat a sandwich with a friend without being constantly bothered by your ears. They have just a little more than the normal, nice brunch deal and great prices. Very busy on weekends, but with bad weather you can enjoy a quick shopping here, even at peak times on Sundays.

Heel tevreden weggegaan; eten en drinken was heerlijk en personeel erg vriendelijk. Niet lang op onze bestelling hoeven wachten ondanks dat het heel druk was (constant bezette tafels op woensdag middag) de rib eye brioche is echt een aanrader!
