Baker&Moore in Rotterdam Centrum

Helaas niet zo vers en lekker als op de beschrijving op het menukaart. Brood is gewoon snijbrood van de supermarkt, te hard getoast, avocadosmash zit geen smaak aan, gekookt eitje was koud, en de asperges waren slap. Binnenin is het zo donker dat we liever op het terras zijn gaan zitten. Bediende was verder wel vriendelijk. Maar niet voor herhaling vatbaar voor ons.

Filtre kahve ve avakado tost istemiştim kahve geldi üzerinde sinek vardı geri değiştirdiler, hizmet biraz geç veriliyor garsonlara ulaşmak zor ve bir tık kabalar, sipariş hızlı gelmiyor. Böyle bir mekanda kahvenin üzerinde sinek olması kötü bir tecrübe oldu. Gereksiz pahalı olabilir. Avakadolu tost fena değildi.

Heerlijke broodjes die je ook zelf kunt samenstellen. Die met burrata en pesto is heerlijk en goed belegd. De koffie is ook prima. Gezellig plekje wel net iets uit de loop.

being a tourist, you will carefully choose the resto/cafe you want to visit because you dont have much time. Sadly I chose the wrong one, the staff was not friendly at all!

We came here as recommendation of a great place for kids and they do have a super cute kids corner upstairs. The food though wasn’t what I expected (specially considering the price 🤑). Maybe it is a matter of taste but my avocado toast with bacon was not tasty at all, the bacon was ordered as an extra and for that I paid 3,5€ for 2 thin slices, it didn’t feel fair. Although the place has this amazing kids corner, the menu didn’t seem very kids friendly in my opinion. For the kids we ordered a combo with croissants, jam and cinnamon bread, and unfortunately they barely ate it. The cinnamon bread was very mushy and with an insane amount of icing (again, maybe a matter of taste)… My boyfriend’s burrata toast and the cappuccinos were good. The staff is super kind and sweet.

Great brunch restaurant! The food is very delicious and well balanced of different nutrition n texture. I like the interior design very well, feels like home with flower decorations. The little kids corner is very thoughtful for family also!

What an insane scam. The menu is designed in such a way that it seems that you can taste 4 sandwiches for 20 euros for people. It says 'all sandwiches above for two people' and then the price is 20 euros. However, that turns out to be pp!! What a bizarre price for lunch. And why do you put it like that? It should say 40 euros, if that is the price for two people. I felt completely cheated. Never come back here again.

Adequate caffenatet beverage, eggs where quite overdone. They put smoked almonds in the dish which where over flavoured. The Penutbutter Bowl was o.k. and the highlight was the fresh orange juice. Lastly it was very much overpriced

Superslecht we waren er om 10.30 uur voor ontbijt we werden weggestuurd omdat ze geen nieuwe mensen meer aannamen de keuken had het te druk, slecht vinden wij ze hadden ook kunnen zeggen ga lekker zitten maar het duurt wel wat langer omdat het druk is.

The location is nice and very pretty. There were a lot of people there on Sunday morning so it was pretty loud and hard to hold a conversation. We had a Moorening Magic and Bakers Moorening I diligence (?). The Moorening Magic was a good mix of savory sandwich with avocado and sweet oats and a cake. I really liked it and felt full afterwards. The Moorening Indulgence was the overnight chocolate oats with cherries, chestnuts, chocolate drops and yoghurt. It was very rich and sweet.

Unfriendly staff! I visited today, and since there were no free tables, I sat at one that hadn’t been cleaned yet. I politely asked the staff to clean the table, but two employees responded in a very rude and impolite manner, telling me it wasn’t smart to sit at an unclean table. I was very disappointed by their behavior and ended up leaving the café without order and unsatisfied. Dear Baker&Moore, Regarding your response to my previous review: I completely disagree with your version of events. Allow me to clarify the situation: 1. When I entered the restaurant, no one greeted or asked me to wait for a clean table. I waited for a few minutes, and since no one from your staff approached me, I sat at the only available table, which was not clean. 2. At no point did anyone inform me that the table would be cleaned shortly. 3. I did not shout, as you claim. I politely asked the staff member at the bar, with a smile and in a normal tone, to clean the table. I approached the bar because no one from your staff had engaged with me after I entered the restaurant. Your response does not reflect what actually happened, and I am disappointed that instead of apologizing, you have chosen to provide an inaccurate account of the situation. I stand by my review and hope you take this feedback seriously to improve your customer service.

The main plus is the quality of the food. Really - outstanding toast. The atmosphere of the place is also wonderful, great decor. The downside is the prices - I understand that breakfast places have to defend themselves, but over EUR 40 for two breakfasts and two coffees is quite a lot. High recommendation for The Grilled Baker.

For me this is a hidden gem in Rotterdam. Delicious lunch. You can put together your own sandwich from fresh and home-baked products.

Had a high tea at this location. The staff are friendly and helpful. A cozy restaurant where you can also grab a coffee. There are cozy seating areas and tables. You can sit inside and outside. Recommended

Very nice surprise. The waitress was a little overwhelmed by our group of 13 who arrived unexpectedly at 2:30 p.m. to eat. But she handled it really well. Go there with your eyes closed, it’s delicious and inexpensive

1 star for the food. Everything had landed on our plate. It was tasteless and the bread fell apart in misery. My group had taken a slightly more expensive sandwich, which certainly did not taste good. The service, 4 stars because we were helped in a friendly manner. Please note, you can only pay by card here, we were not prepared for this and we find it very annoying, therefore -1 star for the service. 3 for the atmosphere, the terrace is nice in the sun, but it is really a tourist hot spot. For that price, I could have bought and prepared my avocado toast etc. myself, presented it better and it would have tasted much better, and it would have cost me a maximum of €10. We won't be back and probably neither will the tourists ;)

Food is great! No possibility for doggy bag as you get a bag truly and food does not sit well in that. That's the only minor point though! Staff is really nice and attentive.

A dream! Second day, second attempt to find a delicious breakfast. We were not disappointed!! Service was super nice and the food was very tasty. We had “The Good ‘Moore’ning.” A dream for €14.95. The ambience inside is nice, the terrace is OK, just not the prettiest corner, but still nice. If we didn't leave so early tomorrow, we would have ended up back there. Recommendation!!

Great Easy hotel breakfast.....this was it previous. I wanted to get breakfast again as I stayed at EasyHotel but was declined buying it due not having 'a reservation'. Not sure what that meant and the lady was not able to explain. The not so nice serving lady came after some hesitation to tell me to get 15% discount on the standard menu. That's what I landed up doing. At payment this discount was 'forgotten' again.... hum. No positive experience anymore like I had them many times before.

Let's try to remain objective. Really difficult in this case. We just wanted to grab a quick breakfast/lunch. Forget the word quick if you go here. We want to have a late breakfast for 2 people for €17.50. The waitress informed us that this was pp. €35 euros for breakfast for 2 people excluding coffee. Do we come from another planet? No, then we will put something together ourselves. We take bread with young cheese. Me with a boiled egg and my wife with a tomato. It was not easy to make a choice from this complicated and unclear menu. After more than half an hour, we were actually just about to leave, what we ordered was placed on the table. We both got two thick slices of bread with two wafer-thin small pieces of cheese. Not cut with a Dutch cheese slicer but with a machine that was set to the smallest setting. It didn't even cover one sandwich. I still had my boiled egg to move to the other sandwich. My wife had nothing for the second sandwich. We eat our breakfast or lunch out twice every week. We had never experienced this before. Two thick slices of bread (delicious bread by the way) with two small wafer-thin young cheeses, a boiled egg, three slices of tomato, truffle mayonnaise and two coffees for almost €23. The utter madness in our eyes. My wife took the other sandwich home and topped it with four thick slices of cheese. Our advice, avoid this restaurant if you want to have a hearty breakfast or lunch.

The servers are extremely bitter, we were not well received. Extremely long time to take orders we got up and left.

We are passing through, looking at the city, spontaneously staying overnight. There we were given a voucher for breakfast at "BAKER & MOORE". You could choose from the menu. Our choice was not regretted: LUXURY BREAKFAST SHELF – FOR 2 PEOPLE (OR MORE): Rustic bread, cinnamon bread, croissant, boiled egg, luxury ham, cheese, smoked avocado mash, overnight oats and strained yogurt, fresh orange juice, homemade jam and butter. Plus, of course, coffee. We were completely satisfied, everything was delicious, fresh and warmly prepared. The staff is young, dynamic, friendly and accommodating. In short - we had a delicious start to the day, were well full and absolutely satisfied. So we can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

A delight of flavors to tingle the taste buds and an exceptional culinary journey for a breakfast for two at very good value for money! I recommend and I would come back with great pleasure with the added bonus of very pretty exterior and interior decor!

At 2:50 PM I took a seat on the terrace of this business. I looked through the menu and walked inside at 3:10 PM to ask if anyone was coming by to take the order. The gentleman behind the counter told me: closed. To which I replied: I have been waiting outside for 20 minutes. The door is open and no one has come to tell you that you are closed since you all saw me sit down? Now we are closed! Ok byeee! Very strange and unfriendly. Definitely won't be coming back

They brought the food for a very long time, perhaps they did not understand English or the waiters were very busy and got the order mixed up 😔 There are a lot of people.. I don’t understand why, to be honest.. The atmosphere could use some work on service and style..

Recently I visited a cafe that at first glance seemed like a very pleasant place with beautiful and tasty dishes. Unfortunately my experience was ruined by the devious way the prices were listed in the menu. At first glance the prices seemed reasonable, but when I got the bill the total amount was significantly higher than expected. I confronted the waiter about this, who told me that I should have read the menu more carefully, which listed additional costs and surcharges in small letters. Although the food was really tasty, this way of misleading customers is unacceptable. Unfortunately, despite the quality of the food, I do not plan to visit this cafe again and cannot recommend it to others. Honesty and transparency are important for good service, and that is clearly lacking in this case.

Very awful, they give me expired milk and the woman staff is so rude. I hope the manager see this review and rethink to continue the contract with that woman. She works behind the bar (preparing the bread) on 31 july 2024 at 10 am. She has no manner, not nice at all, especially shouting to me, although I just wave my hand to order new drink (orange juice) bcs the drink they gave it to me (latte machiato) was taste weird. I wanted to be polite to order new one, but I got very rude respond from her. The worst restaurant that I ever visited !!!!

This is my favorite place for brunch in Rotterdam ! The food and drinks are amazing. The service can be pretty slow however and it would be great if they improved the toilets.

Very nice breakfast cafe in Rotterdam. We each put together a bread (one with salmon, egg, cucumber, tomato, Sriracha mayo and one with bacon, egg, cucumber, tomato and mayo). Very tasty breads. We also had a delicious freshly squeezed orange juice.

Ate a composite sandwich. We were here for the first time. Received two sandwiches with two slices of bacon on one, one egg, and three slices of cucumber. It could have been said that you get two sandwiches so that you can also order two sandwiches. But even then the toppings were meager! Shame.

Coffee machine was broken, the soft egg is served cold (we cook it in the morning), but there was a long wait despite a lot of staff. No, thanks!

The price written for two person breakfast on the menu was 17 euros they charged x2 for 2 person. So menu prices are tricky. When we said that to the weitress her face was like "get the hell out of here". Beside that the breakfast was very good.

This comment is because of the toilets € 0.50 questions, but not cleaning toilets. Very dirty And you know what connection you can make in restaurants with the toilet and the kitchen. Enjoy your meal

Recently spent a few days in Rotterdam, and breakfast here was included in my hotel price. Whilst the food itself was fine, and the atmosphere was enjoyable, I feel as though the service wasn't particularly good. The staff made little to no attempt to explain what was included with the voucher unless directly asked (nor was this mentioned anywhere on the envelope in the hotel that contained the vouchers), and only on my final day did anybody ask if I had any dietary requirements. All in all a good enough spot, but it could be improved with clearer information and better service

A very tasty brunch spot in the center of Rotterdam. Putting together a sandwich yourself in combination with the delicious coffee makes this an excellent place to have lunch with a friend/acquaintance/colleague. A reservation is not necessary, but it is advisable to arrive on time to avoid a long line. Nevertheless, if you are in line, you usually get a seat quite quickly.

The breakfast was delicious, but we had to wait a very long time and had to sit outside. We were sent here from the hotel, but there needs to be better communication between the two.

I am in Rotterdam for a few days this week, and I found this beautiful place just near my hotel. What to say: I am having breakfast or brunches there every day. Pictures speak by themself! The food is amazing and the guys and girls from the staff are kind and Always smiling. It is not a place for rushing people: here you take your time, eat healthy nourishing food and give yourself a cuddle in the morning. Also the place is very clean and cozy, the toilet are also clean. I would like a place likes this at home in Italy too! Can't wait until next breakfast tomorrow morning!

Absolutely diabolical service, waited 15 mins to be served and then waited an hour for food… I had a croissant. Staff are extremely rude and dismissive when being asked if we can order and where is our food. Do not waste your time or money here and certainly not your kindness or politeness. Just another pretentious coffee shop with absolutely nothing stand out about it.

Reserved for a group of 8 people, so it was indicated in advance that we would receive a special plank with gravy instead of a la carte. Upon arrival we were allowed to take a seat upstairs and we were informed of any allergies and details. Unfortunately, we only received our food after 50 minutes... this is a very long wait for a breakfast consisting of croissants, bread, egg and toppings for the bread. We also received jars with an unknown content, which later turned out to be the overnight oat. Also a board with unknown slices, this turned out to be a kind of cinnamon bread. Unfortunately, we received no explanation from the staff about what was on the table. Gluten-free bread is available, and you also get a cake.

Bad service. At first they said we should sit upstairs. Then we were sent back down. We only ordered orange juice, tea, croissant and 1 ready-made sandwich from the menu. Only after asking several times and asking to be allowed to leave was the food served after almost an hour. The reply was blunt that we could get the food to go. The reason: it was unusually busy. However, the restaurant was almost empty... The croissant looked like it came from a supermarket bakery machine and the orange juice was warm. Only the sandwich was okay. Absolutely not recommended.

The meal took us almost an hour, although the restaurant was only half full. We ordered a sandwich and a crossaint. So really nothing out of the ordinary that could take up a lot of time. Everything was very tasty, but the service left a lot to be desired in terms of time. If you have a lot of time and patience you can eat very tasty and good food here. Just ordering at 10:30 and receiving the food shortly before 11:45 is no longer breakfast :(

We spent the night at Hotel Emma and had breakfast with you in the morning. Very poorly organised, had to wait a very long time. Contacted staff twice. Until finally breakfast arrived after 70 minutes. That was very good by the way. Too bad it turned out this way

Eating this breakfast probably added 5 years to my life expectancy! Very hip and trendy inside and a menu with an absurdly healthy choice of food. Unusually for me, I chose a muesli pot and avocado egg mix on toast with a green tea. All delicious and well set me up for the day ahead, many thanks to my new wholesome friends in Rotterdam
