If you are looking for Indian food in Eindhoven central this will be your go to choice. There are south indian food also available feom Monday to Thursday. I found Vaibhav, Azim and Abin a very friendly people.

Worst service in a long time... Waited almost an hour and a half for just a drink and an appetizer. I asked how much longer it would be, "fifteen minutes." Of course, I waited, but still nothing and no one could be found because all the staff were in the kitchen. In that time, I could almost fly to India for food and be back.

Really tasty food and a huge selection . We got 3 meals to share between two of us and it was plenty . Price was also fair . Only advice i could give them is serve the G&Ts with plenty of ice. ( we originally got none )

It took a total of two and a half hours before we finally got our main course. The table next to us also complained about having to wait hours for their food, even though the restaurant was incredibly quiet, especially for a Sunday. It was incredibly inhospitable, and unbelievable that no one would speak a single word of Dutch. Even paying the bill HAD to be in English. As if you can't learn that one phrase you hear countless times a day. Conversely, "English" is almost impossible to understand due to the heavy accent and strange accents. Fortunately, the food was delicious, because even if you know the "classic" names of Indian dishes, you often have no idea what you're ordering. "Chicken soup," for example, turned out to be a spicy, tomato-red soup. The decor was... not boring, but also completely out of character for a restaurant. The music was so loud we could barely talk. Fortunately, they were willing to turn it down. All in all, I would order takeout or order food here, but definitely wouldn't dine in again.

After 55 minutes without even a drink, we left. It was clear they were trying to lure people in without considering capacity. The excuse was a large group that arrived right before us (they were upstairs in the restaurant and we couldn't see them, unfortunately, otherwise we would have figured out sooner what was going on). This excuse came just as we were hesitantly standing near the exit. They probably came to us because they thought they could lure in more people (and increase sales)... Anyway, that's fine when it's very busy, but if they had warned us, we would have had a choice. Honestly, we would have gotten a table, but that would have been all we had... Now we were left in the dark. But even then, come on. A drink is the least they could have provided. We had nothing, 55 minutes after entering, still nothing. I didn't even get a chance to make eye contact. The staff seemed confused, looked quickly, did what they could, and were friendly, I noticed. I was either going to help, or I was going to leave. Since helping would be awkward, I left. The tip? Communicate… Let someone take charge. And saying "no" to people is also an option! Instead of taking what you can and leaving guests to fend for themselves, do it. ☹️😅

We had a wonderful evening at Atithi. Delicious food, friendly staff, and a "Bollywood" atmosphere. It was busy, but the staff literally ran to be as fast as possible. Because we had to wait a bit longer, they politely came to explain and apologize. But I thought the wait for our food was quite reasonable, considering how labor-intensive Indian food is. And it was worth the wait! Delicious!!! A few minor points for the restaurant: make sure people get their drinks faster. And make sure the menu is accurate. We eat vegan, and not every dish that said "vegan option" was vegan. But hey, they have plenty of options, and lots of vegetarian options, as a good Indian restaurant should. But we'll definitely be back!

The food was good and the menu nice and categorized, but sadly our experience was not too good besides that. We got a table instantly, but it took a long while for us to get our drinks and it took almost an hour before we got our food, even though the restaurant was not very busy at all. The bottleneck was probably the kitchen, because the three waiters didn't seem to have a lot to do in the meantime. The other big downside is the fact that everything is decorated to look fancy, but on closer inspection everything is very cheap. Even the 'glasses' are made out of plastic. I would have expected more for this price range. I'd say this might be perfect for take away as the food is really good, but the service and decoration are really not that great in our opinion.

I’ve been to Athithi restaurant many times, and while I’ve always appreciated their food and service, this review is a bit different. It’s not about the food it’s about the remarkable professionalism of their sales and services team. I recently requested a quote for a birthday party, and I was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The response was quick, I received a clear, detailed, and well-structured quote within just 20 hours of sharing the event specifics. It reflected a high level of professionalism and gave me confidence that the actual event would be handled with the same efficiency and care. To be honest, I haven’t seen this level of responsiveness or clarity from any other competing restaurants in Eindhoven. Kudos to the team they’ve truly set the bar high when it comes to customer communication and service.

This was my first visit — and definitely not the last. The flavors, the hospitality, the way Vaibhav personally came over to ask if we were enjoying everything — we felt genuinely looked after. You’ve gained a regular. Thank you!

Absolutely loved the food here! It’s rare to find such authentic Indian flavors in this part of the world. The butter chicken was creamy, the biryani was perfectly spiced, and the naan was fresh and soft. Generous portions and reasonable pricing. Highly recommend! For me the best in Eindhoven and surroundings.

We were there on a busy day. It was very cold outside and in the restaurant (downstairs) it was also very cold, so we sat with our coats on. Unfortunately they couldn't do anything about it. In addition, we waited almost an hour for the food. Eventually it came and it was lukewarm instead of tasty, BUT... it was tasty!

Atithi is always our go-to Indian restaurant in Eindhoven. Their pani puri is spectacular as are their paneer appetizers. Our experience today was particularly refreshing with perfectly flavored kulfi and mango ice cream as capstones to a diverse selection of veggie entrees. Do yourself a favor and get on over to Atithi for a culinary treat in the center of the City of Light. 🙏🏽

We visited Atithi for the first time and were very impressed with the overall experience. The food was authentic and full of flavour — every dish we tried was delicious. Must try prawns curry and saag mutton. Vaibhav’s hospitality truly stood out — he took the time to understand our preferences and suggested dishes we thoroughly enjoyed. Looking forward to visiting again.

Not at all satisfied with the waiting time. The food was okay but that does not reassure me with how long I had to wait with my girlfriend. And when we ask how long we still have to wait they say that it normally takes 20 - 25 minutes while we have been waiting here for more than 50 minutes for food that we ordered upon arrival while it is not that busy.

Delicious traditional authentic flavors the best Indian restaurant in Eindhoven

A bit more expensive compared to any other small local indian food restaurants. The portion sizes are also not the same as the smaller restaurants, even a bit too small if you ask me. Maybe the higher prices are due to the fact that they have a huge restaurant and are in the middle of the city with a lot of staff running around. After the main course we had to ask for a dessert. And I don't think I ever had to ask that at an indian restaurant. the staff was welcoming us like you expect it from any restaurant. We felt very welcome and started our evening good. Although that we had a nice evening and the butter chicken was very tasteful and the food was just good. I would no go there again.

I visited multiple times. Food taste is fantastic. If you are looking for indian food in Eindhoven, you can definitely visit this place.

We did a take away for the family. Unfortunately the quality of the food was very poor compared to the price. The pieces of meat in the kebabs were not at all moist. They were over cooked and hard. The curry was poorly made with no flavours at all apart from being hot. The rotis and the naan were quite hard to chew. For the price you pay, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

Some things were great while the others were not. What was Great: The Chai, The Pani Puri, The Chicken Biriyani , Steamed Rice and the Butter Naan. What was Not great: The Mango Lassi The Kebab Platter : Was Cold and Dry. The seekh kebab was the worst. The Goan Prawn curry felt more like Butter Prawn Curry. The prawns didn’t taste fresh. The staff were very friendly and did everything great. Advice: Ask the staff what is fresh and then order.

Takeaways are really not working well. Orders are mixed up with other customers and it takes more than 90 minutes for delivery. Tried twice through Uber and disappointed.

The butter chicken was delicious and tasteful, loved the kindness we were welcomed with. The atmosphere is amazing, the bathrooms were perfectly clean. I would recommend!

I recommend this restaurant. The food is good, it is little bit expensive though. The service is little slow, so you may have wait a little long. But the food was worth the wait. The staff is friendly.

It is one of the blessings when you’re traveling and discovering new restaurants in places you get to either for work or pleasure. The welcoming atmosphere and personnel of Atithi deserve an extra mention. The food imho is outstanding and cooked with a twist. I mentioned it to them while I was still finishing my main course, I’m glad they decided not to put the brakes on the spicy-o-meter. But don’t worry the freshly made dishes are delicious and offer quite a diverse pallet of flavors. To me a solid recommendation. I know I will return.

Great food. We started with a generous selection of starters: Chicken Tikka Angara, Murg Malai Tikka, Lamb Kakori Seekh and Tandoori Prawns – all tasty and actually more than enough as a meal in itself. For the main course we enjoyed Dal Makhani, Amritsari Chicken Tikka Masala, Fish Tawa Masala, Saag Gosht and of course garlic naan. Everything was rich in flavour and well seasoned. The portions are generous, so definitely value for money. The service was friendly and attentive. Small downside: the banister was a bit sticky and the paint is peeling – it would be nice if that was freshened up. All in all, a must for lovers of Indian cuisine

I grew up with Indian cuisine and had high expectations. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing, it is not fresh and not seasoned. Everything tastes neutral and not unique. It seems like everything comes from the freezer. A nice example of this is “Indian Fries” on the menu. You get a bowl of French fries with ketchup and mayonnaise.. In addition, it is very expensive and small portions. I have to admit that the restaurant itself looks very nice and the staff is nice. If you come for the food, avoid this place.

Third time at Atithi for lunch and this time it was disappointing. 40€ pp for a lunch and there was no naan and the sabzi side dish was not fresh. The sauce with the samosa was very watery and had no taste. Unfortunately not like it used to be.

Food was ok and the the service friendly. But the waiting time was ridiculous. We ordered a first course and two mains. Ended up waiting about 45 minutes for the food to arrive.

It is a pity we have came back to this restaurant, we went there last year but this time have been really dishonest. We have asked to some recommendation for the rice and the waiter didn’t said we already have rice with the butter chicken we ordered, so when they have bring the dishes, the girl has brought two rices, and we advised to her we only ordered one. Then she explained us it always came with the main dish, (still it is not said on the menu, or explained by the one who is taking the orders). So she tell us that like it was their mistake because it was the waiter first day, she suggested we can only have one rice, and we said yes. But finally when we received the invoice there was one rice added, and she said it was because she left on the table the one added and no the one plain rice that came with the main menu. When you acknowledge a service error, you cannot make the customer pay. And in case they were different, just pay the difference but no the all dish. Still the food is good there a lot of Indians restaurants in the city where the behavior is totally honest and helpful with the customers.

We ordered Indian food, naan bread, twice vegetarian food and rice and were amazed that the food arrived after 10 minutes. As we ate we realized why it came so quickly, the food was pre-cooked and only warmed up, so not freshly cooked!!! At a restaurant like this that doesn't offer cheap dishes, I expect freshly cooked food, possibly with a waiting time. The food didn't convince me either. Never again!!

Great restaurant, fast service and delicious food. What was remarkable was that the downstairs was completely empty in terms of dining areas and you were not asked your preference, but as standard you had to climb the stairs and take a seat upstairs.

I visited Atithi with very high hopes. The food let me down. Being a noobie cook myself I was understanding the flavours involved. We ordered 1 chicken curry and 1 Bharwa Paneer Lababdar. Chicken was good while paneer's gravy did not feel fresh at all. The paneer had to be fried to stuff the khoya in it and that made it very hard. In the end we had to leave some food. Overall not a good experience.

Just don’t go in expecting a culinary revelation. With some improvements to the food quality, this restaurant has the potential to be truly outstanding. I’d consider going back, hoping for a better gastronomic experience next time.

Did not enjoy the food at all, it was catered to the taste of foreigners. The hospitality was good but the food was very sweet and I wouldn't say that it is authentic Indian food.

Pindi chole were very oily and runny, it seemed they added water and tampering on top to increase the quantity. Despite requesting utensils none were sent.

Very unfortunate, and not good, certainly not worthy of 22€ per dish. Butterchicken not tasty, too thin, no sweet and hardly any butter. Meat, dark, chicken thighs and no fillet, with everything NOT prepared in clay oven. Starters are completely forgotten and the rice was too soft, and not fragrant basmati rice.

The Shahi Thali was a feast of perfectly balanced dishes, each bursting with taste and beautifully presented. The Tandoori Prawns—incredibly juicy, smoky, and packed with spices—were simply outstanding! To top it all off, I tried their Gulabi Tea, a beautifully fragrant and comforting drink with a hint of rose and saffron that made for the perfect ending to the meal. Beyond the incredible food, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy yet elegant decor that made the experience even more enjoyable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. If you’re looking for authentic Indian cuisine in Eindhoven, Atithi is a must-visit! I will definitely be coming back!

The most authentic Indian food I’ve had in Eindhoven! The flavors were rich, and every dish felt like a true taste of India. The kesar rasmalai cake was absolutely divine—a must-try! A special mention to Akshay, who provided exceptional service. His warmth, attention to detail, and friendly nature made the experience even more enjoyable. He ensured we had everything we needed and even recommended some fantastic dishes. His hospitality truly stood out, making us feel valued and welcome. Last night, we went to an Indian restaurant, expecting the food to be full of rich flavors and spices. But honestly, it wasn’t anything special. The worst part, though, was that they placed a bottle of water on the table without mentioning it was chargeable. Naturally, we assumed it was complimentary, like in many other places. But when the bill arrived, we were shocked to see they had charged us €5 per bottle! I find this really unfair—at the very least, they should inform customers beforehand instead of springing it on them at the end

Waited for almost 1 hour for our main dishes to arrive at the table. Starters are okay but main dish are terrible. Pricey, salty, unauthentic version of Indian food for white people. Avoid this restaurant if you want some good authentic Indian food.

Great place. Not too cheap but the food is amazing and the young lady who served us was just awesome!

Placed two times an order via whatsapp. Website showed a 10% for orders via whatsapp. The first time it was not shown on the bill and I had to pay the full amount. When I ordered two weeks later for the second time via whatsapp, I asked if they could check that the 10% was calculated this time. I ordered food for takeaway at 17:55 and when I showed up at 17:45, I got to wait for a moment. In the end, I had to wait till 18:25 till my takeaway food was finally ready. Subsequently, again the discount was not calculated and next to that I had to wait 30 minutes in a freezing cold lobby as the door couldn't close properly of the restaurant. When coming home I noticed the portions were smaller than the first time (could barely make 3 full meals for 106 euro). Seems to me that the fact that I made a remark about a bill the first time assured that I was getting a worse "service" the second time. For me the last time here as customer service for Indian restaurants is way better at other places in Eindhoven.

I tried the Chole Bhature and Mango Lassi, and both were excellent! This is a must-visit place in the heart of Eindhoven. The service was outstanding, thanks to Nepal Singh.

It's become apparent to me as an English regular visitor, that's it is very difficult to find authentic south Asian food in The Netherlands, and sadly Atithi did nothing to change my point of view. The Butter Chicken (which seems to appear on every menu here) tasted as if it had been made with a tin of tomato soup. I really wanted to enjoy this meal, but again I was badly let down, despite the obvious efforts of the attentive manager. I understand the differences between the two countries, historically and culturally, but I can't believe there isn't a market for well made, genuine, Indian, Pakistani or Bangladeshi cuisine. Can the owners of these restaurants please ask themselves "would I eat this at home?"
