Azzurro in Hoek van Holland

The interior is of poor quality with cables and pipes all exposed. Toilets are poor quality. There was a hair on my pizza, and there were lots of flies buzzing around. Hygiene standards need improving! All plants are fake, despite The Netherlands being a world famous flower producer. Staff were friendly, but the owners have no idea what a decent restaurant should look and feel like.

Delicious dinner in Restaurant Azzurro! The menu is varied with plenty of vegetarian options. The pizzas in particular are delicious! You immediately feel welcome by the friendly staff and the attractive interior. Highly recommended for anyone looking for good food and a pleasant atmosphere.

Had a delicious meal on Boxing Day with a very large group. The bruchetta was wonderfully fresh and tasty! Super clever to get everything on the table almost at the same time and make it taste delicious too! Our pizzas were also very tasty and the dessert (tiramisu) was also great! I understand the reviews about the design and ambiance, there is certainly room for improvement here to create a nice complete picture! All in all, a very successful evening with friendly and hospitable hosts. Thanks Azzurro!

The pizzas are very tasty and were ready quickly. Dessert was also delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant could indeed be a little better, but if you are with nice company, that doesn't seem to be a problem. Staff is also very friendly. We will definitely come back!

Just had dinner at the restaurant Pizza not edible, dark crusts, lasagna was also mediocre, we don't come here anymore, we heard that the business has been taken over, it used to be good

It's a shame that the new owner tore it down like that. Atmosphere is hard to find. Carpaccio could not be called carpaccio. Pizza was okay, but the pasta was a kind of oily soup.

Owner really needs to do something about the atmosphere. It is now a bare room with veneered tables. Echo! Decoration with plants, for example, would not be out of place. Maybe something nice on the wall. A bit of mood music instead of pop/soul would also fit better. Food is fine and certainly not expensive.

That was a disappointment upon arrival. A bare place without any atmosphere. A new owner turned out. An average football canteen is more pleasant. The service was quite friendly and the pizzas were good. They did not have non-alcoholic beer and the atmosphere of the place made it not a pleasant evening out. Shame. It also remained very quiet in the business. We long for the atmosphere with the previous owner.

We were shocked upon entering. Are they renovating? No, just a few more minor points and everything was ready. There has been a new operator since 3 weeks, oops. That will be quite a job. Of the 6 pizzas, 2 were partly blackened and 1 was barely cooked. A “zero point zero” was unknown… “alcohol free beer” they knew but it was not present. Toilets are downright gross. This really wasn't good. Staff was very friendly. So they are given the opportunity to make something better out of this. Until then, no more for us.

Their restaurant is permanently closed

I had high hopes for this restaurant, I wanted some good pasta but instead I received a small portion of ravioli that didn't have an expected taste. The prices are sky rocket for what they serve. We also ordered a pizza, and you would expect a good pizza, an Italian restaurant with the flag hanging on the entrance and inside the restaurant, but unfortunately it was disappointing, Dough too thin, and no taste. Overall, we won't return here. Paid 42 euro, but we went home and ate again 😂

Just got 2 lasagna, large containers but there wasn't much in it, it was also tasteless, it looked a lot like the lasagna from Lidl, will never go there again

The pizza vegetariana was tasty, even though it only contained olive, pepper, mushrooms and onion. However, the spaghetti cuatro formaggi made me very sad, it was too dry and tasted like cream sauce with a distant hint of cheese. I didn't eat the spaghetti and that says a lot. The staff was very friendly and there was a nice atmosphere.

Italiaans eten ? Spaghetti quatro fromage? Mis MINIMAAL kaas nummer 4. Pizza niets bijzonders. Voor ons niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Nice place with delicious pizza and great service. We could not relate to the partially bad reviews. The prices are low, especially for such a touristy area. We would go there again.

Een heerlijk oubollig restaurant waar, als je binnenkomt, al een fijne sfeer hangt. Voor een eerlijke prijs goed eten en een perfecte bediening. Aanrader dus.

Wir wollten lecker zu Abend essen und sind aufgrund der guten Bewertungen in dieses Restaurant. Erstmal durften wir nicht draußen sitzen, da die Bedienung alleine ist und das nicht schafft. Das war für uns zwar schade, da es schönes Wetter war, aber verständlich. Wir bestellten Pizza und Pasta Frutti Di Mare. Pizza war in Ordnung, etwas zu dunkel geworden. Die Pasta leider sehr lieblos. Statt der bestellten Macheroni kamen Penne und es waren kaum Meeresfrüchte dabei. Mir haben auch etwas frische Kräuter gefehlt oder irgend etwas ansprechendes auf dem Teller. Schade. Außerdem kam es mir vor als ob die Bedienung etwas genervt war das sie sich auf Englisch und nicht auf Holländisch verständigen musste. Fazit: Es war nicht schlecht, aber nächstes Mal lieber woanders hin.

Matige pasta’s gegeten. Kleine porties en duur. Zeker geen aanrader. Voor ons eens en nooit meer. Restaurant heeft een goede opknapbeurt nodig en misschien een andere chef. Salade mista is ijsbergsla met wat wortel en tomaat. Dressing moet je zelf maken. Het was een redelijk warme dag en de rode wijn was gewoon ronduit warm. We hadden toch geen gluhwein besteld… wat mij betreft 1 ster maar de pasta van mijn vrouw was redelijk dus toch maar 2 gegeven. Bediening was wel heel aardig en netjes

Lekkere Italiaan. Pizza is goed en de pasta met zalmroomsaus is een echte aanrader. Het personeel is ook super vriendelijk!

Salate sehr spartanisch, einfach. Teilweise war der Eisberg mit braunen Stellen. Nudel Gerichte sind nicht zu empfehlen. Auch einfach nicht gut. Nudeln nicht al dente,bzw.nicht die richtige Sorte wie auf der Karte angegeben. Pizza ist noch das "beste" was man da Essen kann. Der Service ist sehr nett und aufmerksam.

Het was goed, maar je zou er ook een gewone maaltijd moeten kunnen bestellen, dan alleen maar pizza. Dat miste ik wel. Een snitsel met patat en salade had ook best op het menu mogen staan.

Nette freundliche Bedienung und alles ging sehr fix. Allerdings war die Pizza an manchen Stellen am Boden leicht verbrannt und wir bekamen eine Flasche Radler die schon seit April abgelaufen war. No Go. Es wurde wie ich den Kellner darauf aufmerksam gemacht habe zur Kenntnis genommem. Das war es.

Super gutes Essen und sehr guter Service. Die Pizzen werden hier komplett selbstgemacht. Die Bedienungen sind sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend.
