The B E S T italian restaurant in rotterdam! The owner is so nice and the atmosphere is immaculate! If we’re in Rotterdam again we’re definitely coming back.

Sadly I can't give a review about the food, I WAS REFUSED SERVICE because I don't have cash. I am living in the Netherlands for 8 years, and everywhere we use debit payment and I find this absurd even I can feel this as a racist this practice.

Fantastic pizza full of flavour whilst being thin and crispy. Pasta was nice and fresh. Service was amazing witj fantasic value for money

We had a wonderful meal at Gerard's (t Haventje) recommendation. It was really cozy! And the food was delicious!

Completely insane and aggressive owner. Ordered 2 pizzas through Thuisbezorgd app. He asked for the order name, I said I wasn't sure in which name it was done, so I showed him the receipt with the order code in big letters. He started yelling at me. He insisted on the name, so I told him my name. He didn't listen, because he was going nuts moving around and waving his hands, saying I was wasting his time. Went back in twice, started yelling "who called?". I told him I didn't call, I used the app. Finally he brought out his printed receipt from the kitchen, which had my name and, obviously, the code in BIG LETTERS. I confirmed that was my order, and he said it would take another 5 minutes, and started apologizing in the most insincere way. Go here if you like getting yelled at and feeling like they are doing you a favor for selling you food.

Me encontré con un amigo para tomar una cerveza y decidí comer pizza ya que mi amigo no tenía hambre. El chico (supuestamente el dueño) estaba visiblemente molesto porque el pedido era solo de dos cervezas y una pizza. Con toda su expresión facial y lenguaje corporal demostró su decepción. Después de comer pizza también pedí un postre. Cuando terminé, el chico proactivamente vino a preguntarnos si quería una factura. Recibimos un no como respuesta. Dijo que deberíamos beber si queríamos quedarnos más tiempo, a pesar del hecho de que ambos teníamos cerveza en nuestros vasos. Un comportamiento increíblemente irrespetuoso que difícilmente puedo recordar que me haya sucedido en toda mi vida. Me imagino que podría estar un poco estresado si hubiera una cola afuera pero literalmente no hubiera nadie esperando. Así que si quieres comer bajo la supervisión de pagar una cierta cantidad o masticar más rápido para liberar la mesa, definitivamente deberías visitar este lugar. De lo contrario, busque otro lugar, hay muchos en Rotterdam. Ah, y por cierto, no se aceptan tarjetas, así que lleva dinero en efectivo, de lo contrario la situación podría empeorar ) ) )

To be honest, I came here just to meet my uncle, who happens to be the owner of the restaurant. I didn’t know what to expect—but I was completely blown away. The service, the respect, and the food quality were absolutely incredible. Truly amazing. I was speechless. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy a special moment, experience a genuine Italian touch, and feel the warmth of a truly welcoming atmosphere. A true Italian restaurant. Pizza and Lasagna are delicious. Wine varieties are sufficient. I was also very pleased with the service and atmosphere.

Picked up pizza today over the phone, which was a bit rude, and I was told to pick it up in 20 minutes and I do so (exactly 20 minutes later), when I arrive the pizza is already cold again and really unedible! Very bad But later we went back and had a nice pizza

Via Thuisbezorgd. Delivery fine, but food was disappointing. Pizzas taste ok, but cold. Lasagna was severely substandard, not tasty and extremely salty. Abandoned after a few bites, not possible.

What a nice, old-fashioned cozy pizzeria. Moreover, they bake a perfect pizza here. Thin base, crispy and not too overly loaded. A few good wines on the menu with a correct description. Reasonable bill. We will come back here more often. Parking in front of the door is not free, but it is easy.

I'm not enthusiastic about it, the food was disappointing. I had imagined a lot of garlic and a sirloin steak differently, it looked like a small flat, yes, what should I call it, a small flat piece of meat. Was served with a small bowl of fries and a piece of cucumber, that was the salad.

It's a red flag when they only want you to pay with cash. No sign. No warning. Asked if they could call a taxi for us. Waiter tried asking the owner and owner replied rudely. The owner wasn't aware we could understand Dutch. Food was so so. Not worth it.

This small Italian restaurant with terrace has been on the popular North Island for years. The pizzas are excellent here. The rest is good but not very special. The price-quality ratio is good! The terrace could be decorated in a more cozy Italian atmosphere. The service by the girl is good and friendly. The owner is not the happiest Italian I have met, but he probably means well. Please note that you can only pay in cash here!!!!.

Gaetano is just a beautiful restaurant, no frills, no 'on a bed of', just get what you ordered, Caprese is just a plate full of tomatoes, Mozorella and basil. It's 'around the corner' from us, so we come here often.

Wij komen hier vaker. Gisteren was geen goede ervaring. De bediening was gehaast. Bij het bestellen wilde de ober een vraag niet navragen bij de kok en het gebruikelijke broodje met kruidenboter werd niet geserveerd. Het portie eten was kleiner dan normaal waardoor het een zeer duur stukje vlees werd.

We just walked in, unknown here and without a reservation, but what a wonderful restaurant this is! Delicious pizzas and very attentive and friendly service. Thank you and it's a pity that we live 80 km away because I would like to come back here every week.

Ordered extra cheese. Then this small bowl of cheese costs 5.95. We then approached the staff about this and were told that is how the system works..

Remote from the city center and inconspicuous. Therefore the atmosphere is very pleasant. Employees work hard and are super friendly. The food was also very tasty. Both the pizza and the pasta. Highly Recommended!

Unfortunately, my experience at this pizzeria was far from pleasant. First, the food caused severe cases of diarrhea in me and my companions. The pizza looked more like cardboard than a tasty meal; to be honest, Albert Heijn's pizza tastes better. The sauce was so watery it ruined the pizza and it looked like it came straight from the tap. As if that wasn't bad enough, my friend discovered a hair in her food, which was a real turn-off. Moreover, we also felt unsafe in the area around the pizzeria. This place is definitely not recommended for a tasty and pleasant meal.

The VERY BEST Italian restaurant in Rotterdam! It's not far from the city centre in a residential area. Bus 32 from Blaak will take you there and it's worth the trip. This family owned restaurant may look unassuming and there is no fancy decor but loyal customers come here for the phenomenal food and service. It was busy on a Wednesday evening and there were customers for pizza takeaway: an indication of the popularity of the restaurant. Highly recommended!! PS: No credit/debit card. Cash only although you can pay electronically using a direct bank transfer

Very friendly staff and attentive service. We ate Tortellini and Pizza and to the dessert Tiramisu. Everything was very tasty and the ambience was cozy and authentic. The price-performance ratio is excellent. Absolutely recommended. We would like to come again. 👍🏻

Very good food, for fair price. Even vegan options and allergies are taken care of when asked for. We took delivery which was really quick and food arrived nice and warm! I could recommend agio olio, tiramisu and the calzone giovanni.

Just ordered via home delivery. Biggest mistake ever. Pizzas are not tasty and have little toppings. The bases are thin and dry and have little flavor. You can order the best pizzas at Little Italy!

Went for dinner for the first time yesterday, I heard it was a good pizzeria. However, I found the Giovanni pizza a bit bland. Furthermore, the business is in a very nice location, but I won't be going there again anytime soon. But tastes differ!

Gisteravond voor de eerste keer bij La Gaetona gegeten. Als je binnenkomt word je al gelijk bevangen door de gezellige sfeer. Je waant je bijna in Italië. Vriendelijke bediening. En voor 17,50 heb je een driegangen menu. Waar zie je dat nog? Vooraf een salade caprese, pizza of pasta naar keuze en heerlijk huisgemaakte tiramisu als afsluiter. Wij komen zeker nog een keer terug.

Real tasty Italian pizza pasta and lasagna! But home made tiramisu and ice cream meke it even better! And on top of that when you get a bill you will be pleasantly surprised! We will go soon again for sure! Only downside is that you really need reservation so no flexible walk in.

Great Italian food! Definitely if you want to try something else than a pizza for a change. Their pasta and fish dishes so far have been an absolute amazing experience. Remember to bring cash as they don’t accept card (made that mistake before).

Het menu geeft lekker vers eten voor een heel voordelige prijs. Het interieur is gedateerd maar dat geeft niet. Altijd fijn om er weer te zijn!

Een Italiaan naar m'n hart. Fijne plek. Knus, binnen en buiten mogelijkheid om te eten, aardige mensen, snelle service, heerlijke pasta's en pizzas. En ook nog goed geprijsd. We komen hier heel graag!

We komen al jaren op de knapperige, perfect gekruide pizza's af. De laatste keer viel het bezoek een beetje tegen. De pizza's waren minder knapperig en hadden hier en daar zwarte plekjes. Kritiekpunten die we al langer hebben: de huiswijn is waterig en saai, goede wijnen kan je alleen per fles bestellen. En bovenal: je kunt niet pinnen, wat heel lastig is, en niet meer van deze tijd. Ik zou La Gaetano dringend willen aanraden een pinapparaat aan te schaffen,

Per toeval terecht gekomen, heerlijk gegeten, zeer vriendelijke bediening! Plek om vaker terug te komen!

Pizza was heel erg lekker, dunne bodem en lekker krokant. De bediening is echt ontzettend vriendelijk en verder was de sfeer heel gezellig, een echte aanrader!
