Egg salad sandwich with bacon??? Seriously?!

I grabbed what I thought was an arugula sandwich, sandwich spread, etc., because that's what the sticker on the sandwich said; in other words, a vegetarian sandwich. Once I found a place to sit and take a bite, I tasted something like meat! Meat I don't eat! I went back to Backwerk and the man told me the shelf labels were correct and that that's the most important thing. He also said that he knew I was a regular at Backwerk and should have known their sandwiches contained healthy ham. What an idiotic defense! The sandwiches could be misplaced on the shelves, and if the sandwich didn't say meat, I'd initially assume so. But the man blamed me. It felt like a violation of my right to decide what I eat, my bodily integrity, and he was so nonchalant about it. He barely apologized. This is how he's going to sell a vegetarian on why the vegetarian, through his own mistake, ingested ham. Apparently, sticking the correct stickers is difficult

Inside the metro station. You pay between €4 and €6 for a sandwich. The sandwiches vary from average to above average. The bread is crispy, but also dry. I always think: this sandwich would have been so much tastier if they had buttered the bread. I often order the Pane Caprese. It can be a hit or miss. If the sandwich has been prepared a couple of hours ago, the bread will have gone soft and soggy - because the tomato and mozzarella release a lot of water. If the sandwich has been prepared a few minutes ago, it is usually tasty. The same applies to the Pane Avocado-Hummus. Both the Pane Caprese and the Pane Avocado-Hummus would have been better if they added a bit more tomato/mozzarella or avocado/grilled veggies. The Brezels do not taste as good as in Germany. They are not salty and malty.

After ordering, I was missing 1 sandwich. After contacting them, they couldn't have it delivered because they wouldn't drive for 1 sandwich.

Worst place to order food. I ordered, and then came the excuse, "Because Fijenoord is the national champion, the delivery drivers are on strike today." Okay, understood, so I went to the store to pick up my order, which wasn't supposed to happen. The delivery driver was right there preparing another order for delivery. I had already paid for delivery, and I'm not getting my money back because I ordered it with "thuisbezorgd" (Home Delivery). At the checkout, I had to pay for the same order a second time because Backwerk apparently "doesn't receive" the money we pay as customers. Paid twice, got one order. They also have a really nice phone number on their website, but they don't even think about answering it. Paying and cheating... And I still haven't received a single cent back for my delivery order that never arrived. Do it right or don't do it at all. This makes no sense.

Just today I bought a bagel at BackWerk with some kind of herb cheese on it. Super delicious! However, there were also bagels, I think with salmon, whose toppings didn't look so good anymore. Still, delicious bread!

Bought an apple here. The cashier couldn't tell me if it had been washed yet, but she spontaneously offered to wash it right there. Very kind, and it was a delicious apple too!

Bad information. I bought an espresso, which I thought was a small coffee. But because they didn't have small cups, I had to use a large one. A small coffee like that costs €1. So I ended up paying €1.50, and I said I found that odd. The answer I got was that they didn't sell small coffees, but then they fooled the customer. The coffee was also awful.

What delicious sandwiches they have there. And also for a nice price. My lunch box now often goes home untouched.

Just good food. It's strange that if you open at 6:00 AM you have absolutely nothing on the shelves at 6:30 AM. Then I guess you didn't do it right
