The ambiance is like many cafes in Maastricht, with great attention to detail. The service is very friendly and there's no long wait. The bagels and the yogurt with cereola were delicious. It's on the pricier side, but absolutely perfect for a snack. Best coffee ever! The Matcha Strawberry is also delicious!!

We had a fantastic dinner at this place. Our bagels were delicious, and so was their homemade tea. Honestly, the prices are reasonable and the food is delicious! When I come back to Maastricht, I already know where I'll be having dinner.

Coffee was practically just water. Cappuccino was practically just milk. Service was nonexistent.

After taking a stroll through the beautiful shopping street of the Wyck district, I went inside. I found a seat. They also have two outdoor terraces. Friendly service; the staff came to ask what I wanted. I ordered a cappuccino and a cheesecake. Not too long after, the cheesecake was served to me. However, I had to wait a bit longer for the cappuccino. It would have been nicer if both had been served at the same time. Hence the 4 stars. Otherwise, it is a neat and well-maintained establishment.

Disappointing! Friendly service. That really says it all. Food quality is substandard: stale bagel, grey chicken, greasy sauce. Too bad about the missing ingredients that are listed on the menu but are missing from your plate. Toilet very dirty: floor was wet and there was toilet paper lying in various places.

Unfortunately the service wasn’t good. The waiter were kind, but we got the wrong food twice and I wasn’t happy with the quality of the food. I visited beans and bagels Amsterdam before and was very happy, but not in Maastricht. There are better stores to go to:(

Visited Maastricht to see Andre Rieu and we were dropped in Maastricht around noon. Did a bit of sightseeing and then crossed the river and as it was around 2pm decided to go for a light lunch. There were several pavement cafes but we decided on Bagels and Beans. Looking at the menu, they seem to cater very well for vegans and vegetarians with vegan cream cheese - 4 flavours and 1 vegetarian - honey and walnut. There are a few different types of bagels too so once you choose the main topping, you can choose your cream cheese and bagel. Most of the toppings are also vegetarian/vegan but I chose pastrami which was meat and came with sauerkraut, lettuce, caramelised onion chutney and I chose a wholemeal bagel and honey/walnut cheese and a watermelon/elderflower soda. The service was excellent and the food was really great. My friend had some mushroom fritters with mayonnaise and she really enjoyed them. I think the total amount for both of us including an apple drink was less than £20. It was so good, we went back later in the afternoon for another drink and I would go there again if I ever visited Maastricht again.

Fresh, toasted bagels to that precise threshold where it snaps without shattering, it was everything you want in a morning. Amazing service along with a perfect latte to start the day

Amazing place for the breakfast. First of all, the atmosphere was soo nice and the staff was so friendly. It even deserves 5 stars only for this. We tried omlette bagel with everything bagel, and whole wheat bagel with cream cheese and strawberry jam. Both were really delicious. Also, we ordered two large coffees which be aware, large is really really large😅 However, we were really tried and coffee was delicious, so we loved it. Next time I’ll be in Maastricht, I’ll definitely visit again.

I ordered the Spicy Tuna Bagel on top of the “Veggie Bun” and it was honestly absolutely DELICIOUS, would recommend 100% 🙏✨ took it for takeaway so can not really judge the place for service and/ or atmosphere though

The store has great service and a nice atmosphere. The staff are friendly, and the place feels welcoming. However, I found the bagels a bit too high in calories and carbs for my taste, and they were also a little dry. I felt like I had to add too many extras to make them taste better. Personally, they were not my favorite, but the overall experience was still good.

Hospitality was nowhere to be found. One woman systematically turned people away from tables (e.g., two people not at a three-person table), even when it was quiet on a weekday morning. You could see customers visibly hesitating and feeling uncomfortable. Rules seemed more important than the guest.

I ordered the egg and ham bagel for breakfast; it was completely tasteless and soggy. The staff wasn't very interested. A shame, I had expected more.

Bagels were really good, me and my girlfriend had a really good time because of Aarni who was a super friendly waiter!

We just had breakfast here and I ate the "BLT", bagel with bacon and extra avocado: very tasty and the whole wheat bagel was amazing. Everyone were very kind and the place was comfortable. Highly recommend!

I visited Bagels & Beans in Maastricht, where the staff – three girls strong – seemed mostly occupied with a discussion among themselves. Unfortunately, that discussion was apparently more important than our order, because our cappuccinos went on a world tour and ended up on another table. Result: we sat staring at two imaginary cappuccinos for over twenty minutes. Explanation? No barista knew. When the food finally arrived, the salad was no more exciting than a Tuesday evening without plans, and the bagel was so meager it practically called for a fundraiser. For €30, I would have expected at least something to put a smile on my face. In short: not exactly a place to spontaneously do a happy dance. Hopefully, the service will be rebooted soon, as the place was almost empty, if not... ☕️😅

We found this place while looking for a good breakfast spot in Maastricht, and it ended up becoming our favorite! We tried their bagel and it was absolutely amazing, fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want in a good breakfast. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We loved it so much that we went back the next day. Even though we were only in Maastricht for two days, we ended up having breakfast here both mornings. Such a lovely place with great vibes and delicious food. Highly recommended!

Great place with a very cozy atmosphere, albeit extremely full on weekends around lunch. I would recommend trying outside peak hours. The food is nice and reasonably priced.

I've had the gluten-free BLT in Eindhoven more than 10 times and it's always been delicious. I've never had such a bad bagel, but today in Maastricht it was awful. I told them the bacon was raw and the bread was chewy, and they didn't say anything when I returned. Also, normally when we come back with a bagel, we're full and not hungry, but today in Maastricht we were, and they didn't have much topping. I won't be back; terrible bagel.

In summary, Bagels and Beans Maastricht delivers on food quality and ambiance, but inconsistent and sluggish service prevents it from reaching its full potential.

Germans are not welcome. We (a couple with a small dog) were assigned the narrowest and smallest table, even though a more spacious table was available. In conclusion, we decided not to visit.

At €11 for a bagel, you'd expect more than three slices of avocado and one slice of lox! Plus, you had to top your bagel yourself. The coffee was undrinkable.

Excellent place! Very nice atmosphere, with different specialty coffees. I tried one with mushrooms, which was very good! The service was excellent in terms of friendliness and efficiency. The food was delicious.

The food and service were great, but because it was so crowded, it felt like a chicken coop. Some people find it cozy, others find it too much, but with noise-canceling headphones, it's perfectly fine!

Don't order a glass of water, they will give you a big bottle of water which costs €3,10 and charge an extra €0,90 only because it's "big". We've also been to other Bagels&Beans which allow to pay separately and here they were rude and said no when we asked.

Huge range of vegan options, I had the thai 'chicken' chilli on a the veggie bagel, followed by the 'not so pink cake'. Absolutely amazing, will be returning in the morning to try one of the breakfast bagel options. Good atmosphere, quite busy but not too loud and plenty of space with indoor and outdoor seating. As a solo traveller in Maastricht for the first time, I would definitely recommend eating here.

Delicious food , but i didn’t like the sens of hospitality that much . i was sitting somewhere there but then i asked to change the table to be able to charge my phone . the servant said yes but then she didn’t clean the table before she let me sit there . i sit anyway but i thought when she is going to bring my food she would see it . she did but she out the food and went away . i end up eatting on a dirty table . she came back and asked me if i finished and took only my plate again and still left it that way . I like the bagels but i won’t be coming again because this shows that this place is not that clean !!

Instead of having breakfast at the hotel, as we normally do, we decided to have breakfast at Bagels & Beans. We'll always do that from now on! Delicious bagels, much cheaper than a hotel breakfast, and the staff are super friendly and passionate about their work.

I’d been planning to try the salmon bagel at this place for a while, and it turned out to be an incredibly pleasant surprise! €15 for a delicious bagel and a latte sounds like a great deal to me. I can definitely recommend it.

Had a delicious breakfast of latte and oatmeal. It's a shame you have to pay extra to choose a plant-based option, even though the oatmeal was already plant-based. The music suddenly turned up, which was a bit of a shame, and my husband's yogurt and my porridge came in a glass, which is quite difficult to eat. A bowl would have been easier.

Nice clean and friendly environment. Nice selection of drinks and desserts, but their bagels are what you should go for. These are excellent value and the taste is Delightful. Would highly recommend.

A simple place on the road from the station to the center of Maastricht. Not many outdoor seats. Fairly varied menu. Fair prices.

Unfortunately, the iced matcha drinks weren't that tasty. If you sit outside, you have to pay when ordering. The location in the neighborhood is good.

Today I had a bagel for the first time, with pastrami! It was tasty but what was disappointing was that the pastrami was completely dry on the outside, it was curled up! The coffee was also not tasty. Very friendly staff!!

I had a gluten-free begel and I was impressed!! Really delicious. The waitress was very kind, the environment was well-kept and welcoming. Recommended for everyone, even those who eat gluten-free!

While I enjoyed my breakfast here I would like to point out that while the "bagels" are shaped and look like a bagel the texture is much more like baked bread. This is based on my number of experiences ordering bagels as well as this from Wikipedia "a dense, chewy, doughy interior with a browned and sometimes crisp exterior."

The smoothie and matcha taste like tap water and I paid €17 for this and it is NOT worth it.

Delicious vegetarian bagel lunch

Went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, it was very busy but we didn't have to wait for a spot. It was a bit noisy but of course they can't do anything about that. Very extensive menu, you will definitely find something you like. Our food and drinks arrived quickly, and were also very tasty and not too expensive. Friendly staff. I would definitely come back.

I had the salmon bagel and it was a very flavorful experience. My wife had the mushroom Bagel and she really enjoyed that as well. Bagel itself was also nice. I would also recommend the date cake which was nice. Service however could have been better.

I decided to have lunch here during my visit to Maastricht and really loved the place. The overall atmosphere is really nice and cozy, the staff is super friendly. The carpaccio and salmon bagels tasted good as well. I loved a broad choice of food and drinks and a fact that the menu's were in both Dutch and English :)

It is so nice to know that you can always count on this place, where we feel welcome and cared for. It always feels like a small moment of relaxation. Service was friendly as always and the food was great. Deliciously warmed up with a hot chocolate, matcha soy latte and delicious cinnabun and vegan banana bread! We can definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy spot to escape the winter cold!

Food fine, as you know. Atmosphere gloomy, staff uninspired, indifferent, mainly concerned with each other and not involved. Moreover, I do not speak the Dutch language. I still find that strange. Uncomfortable temperature in the building. Not being able to share these findings with staff due to language, while I normally prefer to say something personally on location and not through a review.

Normally we enjoy this place but today it was freezing inside (and outside). Learned that they do not have heat. Rely on the neighbor. CHEAP!!

Ordered a pumpkin spice latte and a pastry today. When serving the waitress knocked over the latte. Everything full, including our new winter coats (both coats together cost 400 euros). No one has talked to us about how to compensate. You don't just wash those coats off. They did give us a bag of chocolate beans for 2.95 euros. We didn't make a fuss in the store, we actually expected them to come across the bridge themselves. But should we have asked about this ourselves? This isn't possible, is it? So we went back home in our dirty, sticky coats. The outing was over. An accident can always happen. But if they had now offered us not to have to pay the bill (19 euros), it would have been good for us. But actually we felt like we were being made fun of with the bag of chocolate beans. Hence this review. This really could have been better!

Really good bagels and the seasonal coffees are lovely. Only thing is not every bagel on the menu comes with cream cheese as standard so be sure to order it as an extra if you want it

This bagel spot in Maastricht is definitely worth a visit! I tried the chicken and peanut bagel – a unique combination that started off nice but became a bit overwhelming for me halfway through, as the peanut butter was too much for my taste. That said, the place offers a wide variety of options with different sauces and fresh juices. It’s a cozy spot with a great street view, especially in the summer, perfect for relaxing and soaking in the atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly, which makes the experience even better. Definitely check it out if you’re in the area!

The apple pie was crazy good and the coffee amazing

Not nice experience. We ordered one gluten free bagel at the counter for one intollerant friend and they brought one regular bagel with the right coffee so our friend eat it. 15 minutes later another waitress came with “the gluten free bagel” and we realized the first supposedly gluten free bagel was with gluten. It wouldnt have been so big an issue if the staff would have apologised but instead the head waitress, at her boss order, asked us to pay for the gluten free bagel if we wanted to keep it (which of course we had already paid). We Don’t recommend this place.
