Great food, great seating and delicious fresh juices

Delicious food , but i didn’t like the sens of hospitality that much . i was sitting somewhere there but then i asked to change the table to be able to charge my phone . the servant said yes but then she didn’t clean the table before she let me sit there . i sit anyway but i thought when she is going to bring my food she would see it . she did but she out the food and went away . i end up eatting on a dirty table . she came back and asked me if i finished and took only my plate again and still left it that way . I like the bagels but i won’t be coming again because this shows that this place is not that clean !!

Instead of having breakfast at the hotel, as we normally do, we decided to have breakfast at Bagels & Beans. We'll always do that from now on! Delicious bagels, much cheaper than a hotel breakfast, and the staff are super friendly and passionate about their work.

I’d been planning to try the salmon bagel at this place for a while, and it turned out to be an incredibly pleasant surprise! €15 for a delicious bagel and a latte sounds like a great deal to me. I can definitely recommend it.

Had a delicious breakfast of latte and oatmeal. It's a shame you have to pay extra to choose a plant-based option, even though the oatmeal was already plant-based. The music suddenly turned up, which was a bit of a shame, and my husband's yogurt and my porridge came in a glass, which is quite difficult to eat. A bowl would have been easier.

Nice clean and friendly environment. Nice selection of drinks and desserts, but their bagels are what you should go for. These are excellent value and the taste is Delightful. Would highly recommend.

A simple place on the road from the station to the center of Maastricht. Not many outdoor seats. Fairly varied menu. Fair prices.

Unfortunately, the iced matcha drinks weren't that tasty. If you sit outside, you have to pay when ordering. The location in the neighborhood is good.

Today I had a bagel for the first time, with pastrami! It was tasty but what was disappointing was that the pastrami was completely dry on the outside, it was curled up! The coffee was also not tasty. Very friendly staff!!

I had a gluten-free begel and I was impressed!! Really delicious. The waitress was very kind, the environment was well-kept and welcoming. Recommended for everyone, even those who eat gluten-free!

While I enjoyed my breakfast here I would like to point out that while the "bagels" are shaped and look like a bagel the texture is much more like baked bread. This is based on my number of experiences ordering bagels as well as this from Wikipedia "a dense, chewy, doughy interior with a browned and sometimes crisp exterior."

The smoothie and matcha taste like tap water and I paid €17 for this and it is NOT worth it.

Delicious vegetarian bagel lunch

Went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, it was very busy but we didn't have to wait for a spot. It was a bit noisy but of course they can't do anything about that. Very extensive menu, you will definitely find something you like. Our food and drinks arrived quickly, and were also very tasty and not too expensive. Friendly staff. I would definitely come back.

I had the salmon bagel and it was a very flavorful experience. My wife had the mushroom Bagel and she really enjoyed that as well. Bagel itself was also nice. I would also recommend the date cake which was nice. Service however could have been better.

Quick service, delicious cappuccinos and good basic bagels with cream cheeses. Don’t recommend other coffee drinks or their sandwiches as not as good.

I decided to have lunch here during my visit to Maastricht and really loved the place. The overall atmosphere is really nice and cozy, the staff is super friendly. The carpaccio and salmon bagels tasted good as well. I loved a broad choice of food and drinks and a fact that the menu's were in both Dutch and English :)

It is so nice to know that you can always count on this place, where we feel welcome and cared for. It always feels like a small moment of relaxation. Service was friendly as always and the food was great. Deliciously warmed up with a hot chocolate, matcha soy latte and delicious cinnabun and vegan banana bread! We can definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy spot to escape the winter cold!

Amazing food and even better service.

Food fine, as you know. Atmosphere gloomy, staff uninspired, indifferent, mainly concerned with each other and not involved. Moreover, I do not speak the Dutch language. I still find that strange. Uncomfortable temperature in the building. Not being able to share these findings with staff due to language, while I normally prefer to say something personally on location and not through a review.

Normally we enjoy this place but today it was freezing inside (and outside). Learned that they do not have heat. Rely on the neighbor. CHEAP!!

Excellent bagels, both sweet and savory, even hot. White bagels are also available gluten-free.

Ordered a pumpkin spice latte and a pastry today. When serving the waitress knocked over the latte. Everything full, including our new winter coats (both coats together cost 400 euros). No one has talked to us about how to compensate. You don't just wash those coats off. They did give us a bag of chocolate beans for 2.95 euros. We didn't make a fuss in the store, we actually expected them to come across the bridge themselves. But should we have asked about this ourselves? This isn't possible, is it? So we went back home in our dirty, sticky coats. The outing was over. An accident can always happen. But if they had now offered us not to have to pay the bill (19 euros), it would have been good for us. But actually we felt like we were being made fun of with the bag of chocolate beans. Hence this review. This really could have been better!

Really good bagels and the seasonal coffees are lovely. Only thing is not every bagel on the menu comes with cream cheese as standard so be sure to order it as an extra if you want it

This bagel spot in Maastricht is definitely worth a visit! I tried the chicken and peanut bagel – a unique combination that started off nice but became a bit overwhelming for me halfway through, as the peanut butter was too much for my taste. That said, the place offers a wide variety of options with different sauces and fresh juices. It’s a cozy spot with a great street view, especially in the summer, perfect for relaxing and soaking in the atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly, which makes the experience even better. Definitely check it out if you’re in the area!

The apple pie was crazy good and the coffee amazing

Not nice experience. We ordered one gluten free bagel at the counter for one intollerant friend and they brought one regular bagel with the right coffee so our friend eat it. 15 minutes later another waitress came with “the gluten free bagel” and we realized the first supposedly gluten free bagel was with gluten. It wouldnt have been so big an issue if the staff would have apologised but instead the head waitress, at her boss order, asked us to pay for the gluten free bagel if we wanted to keep it (which of course we had already paid). We Don’t recommend this place.

If you’re alone, you cannot have a table for two. You either sit on a table in front of a wall or in front of the window…

They stack the plates and cups right in front of the bar so it makes such a noise. Otherwise nice music and place to drink a tea or coffee.

Interesting breakfast formula. It's very fresh, whether it's the bagel, the cottage cheese or the orange juice, all accompanied by a good coffee. The setting is cozy and the service pleasant, to be recommended!

I showed up to write some letters and every time I pass by this place I think the vibe is really nice. I went in to experience it and as soon as I got in one of the people in the bar step out to tell me: if you want to study sit there if not anywhere else. I get it, just smile while saying it pls. The service was basic I also didn't engage much with it, but I ended up asking the waiter if it was okay sitting on a table that was not for studying to write some things because I felt like I wasn't welcomed. I ordered a latte and a cinnamon roll. It was good. Nothing special.

My girlfriend is a regular customer, but we recently had a very unpleasant experience. A waitress gave back almost 10€ less change and when confronting her she said "there is no proof". You would think that as a regular you could just believe the customer.

Breakfast or lunch is always a thing if you cannot tolerate gluten, then it is nice to be able to go here. The bagels are white and brown and prepared in various ways, favorite is tuna melt, but also the vegetarian option with hummus and much more. Yoghurt with all kinds of goodies, etc. Coffee with milk is nice, but here you can also choose from various other options that are lactose-free. In short, I would like to come there. It's a shame that the granola is not gluten-free, but otherwise a nice place where classical music is played in the morning, which is also nice...

If you want to be moved around like a ping-pong ball while trying to work with your laptop, this is the place to go. I was told to change seats three times, and I had my laptop with me! If you order a full lunch, they’ll let you stay in a comfortable seat. But if you just want a coffee and banana bread, they make you move around. Even after finishing my lunch, they still made me change seats! To top it off, one of the servers was incredibly rude and could see racism when she spoke to a native or an international. I had to pack up and move my laptop multiple times, which was such a hassle. I won't go again for sure.

The food is good quality and fresh but the service and the way it was prepared was disappointing. The server would walk away from a table where 3 people sit while only 2 orders have been taken without noticing something is wrong.. also, they have zero flexibility with regards to seating, 3 people cannot just move 2 2-person tables together but instead are forced to sit at a small table. They say it is already “arranged for 3 people” but in practice it just means an extra chair for a small table where food and drinks for 3 people just do not fit at all. (All of this while a part if the seating area is just clised off and not used at all.) Furthermore, orders have been taken from 2 different tables first regardless that they arrived and sat down only 2-4 minutes after us. This consequently induced extra 5 minutes of waiting time too for the serving of thw order. To further add to the issues, one of the workers in the kitchen proceeded to one of the storage rooms, touched the door handle and brought a box out, after which (without washing hands or using gloves!) proceedes to touch and prepare bagels..

Only had drinks, quite tasty, nothing special. Tables were wiped with extremely smelly dishcloths.

Very nice restaurant with friendly service and delicious bagels. Gluten free bagels available. The staff asked me if I had an intolerance since the bagels are baked in the same oven.

Great that there are so many vegan options, but would be nice if there were also more real cheese options. Also the 'buffalo mozzarella" is either really low quality or rubbery regular mozzarella.

A very chill and Cozy breakfast restaurant, with amazing staff. That was very friendly and happy aswell. Also the big coffee was biggg. The price was very reasonable for the quality and taste.

Very poor service, ordered beagle but we received a different type than we ordered and the clerk insisted that we had ordered this. The coffee residues were also still on the tea saucer and the tea was not hot and the mint and ginger were not fresh but wilted. And we were not offered a receipt at checkout. Too bad about our breakfast!

We sat down thinking we would have a nice lunch. Nothing could be further from the truth. After receiving no help for 20(!) minutes, I approached someone myself to indicate that we would like to order. It took another 10 minutes before the person actually arrived, mind you it wasn't super busy, there were a maximum of 15 people. We ordered and had to pay immediately. We quickly understood why that concept existed. Ordered 4 things, which also came in 4 stages, weird. Then after waiting 25 minutes you finally get the bagel, BLT. There is also a criminally small amount of bacon on the bagel.

Friendly, Helpful, Everything was Perfect!!

A large (gigantic) cappuccino with a bagel as breakfast is perfect and also much more affordable than getting breakfast elsewhere!

Very tasty Bagels ! I had once the Holy Bean & an other time the Spicy Tuna. Both very tasty. The staff is also very nice. I recommend it.

Fan of Bagels & Beans, drinks and food are delicious and the service is always very friendly. But what I find very strange and not very hospitable about this branch in Maastricht is that at 4.20 pm they tell me that I really have to be ready at 5 pm. Pay beforehand while eating. I understand that you want to go home, but I have not experienced this yet. I have been there 2 days in a row and this has happened twice.

A real shame if you want to pay with cash. You have to walk inside to order everything there and the tables next to us that pay by card can simply order from their table. Once and never again. I pay as well as the people who pay by card!!!!

You can go there for a tasty breakfast, there are nice, enthusiastic people who are happy to help you

Best bagels in town but really loud and not as cozy as I would like it to be. Prices are fair.

What a shame because the food is not bad, vegan, but it is passable. The treatment is regrettable. 5 people went to eat, and 2 of them did not want to eat anything, and they were invited to leave the premises if they did not eat, it was a very violent situation. My husband and my daughter had to leave, the rest, out of politeness, stayed, but we should have left too, now I regret it. Without a doubt, we will not return.

The environment is very cute, the employees are polite and friendly. I ate tuna melt and loved it. If you like tuna, you should definitely try it. I will definitely go again.

The worst café I‘ve ever been. The table was dirty and the service didn’t want to clean it, even after asking three times for it. Furthermore we waited for our drinks und food over 1h 20 minutes. I have never seen such an incompetent service team that didn’t want to work.

It is nice place in overall. They have various vegan options and it makes the place good choice for vegan muslims and jews. Price / performance rate is also good. Size of meals in menu are alright. Their menu is changing every season. Weekends are a bit crowded but weekdays are calm. All stuff are so nice, kind and friendly.
