Bakery Café in Wijk 06 Buitenwijk Zuidoost

I’d like to share a negative experience I had, although I want to emphasize that it concerns only one member of the staff. Today, Thursday, June 11, at around 12:30 PM, I went to the café to order a drink and handed over my reusable cup. The staff member (a woman wearing glasses, with blond hair tied back, approximately in her 40s or 50s) took while asking specifications of their size of cups. I told her then that I would actually prefer to have my drink served in one of the café’s larger cups and get my own cup back. She gave me the larger cup, and I paid €4.65 for the iced latte. However, when I asked for my original cup back which I took from my university she refused. She claimed that because I had switched to the café’s cup, I would need to pay an extra charge if she returned my own cup to me. I explained from the beginning that I never intended to exchange my cup for theirs because I was just asking specification. In fact, before I even handed her my cup, she had already told me the price would be €4.65 for the drink, and that is exactly what I paid. I did not receive any discount, contrary to what she suggested. Despite my explanation, she continued to refuse to return my cup, even though it was clearly my personal property. I repeatedly stated that I never asked to swap cups, yet she decided to keep it anyway. The drinks are good, but I hope to be served by someone more professional and customer-oriented in the future.

Have to buy a cup on top of price of coffee (around £1). Door open and quite breezy. Nice place to work with plug sockets around.

If you want to eat something, go somewhere else.

Good coffee in cute cups, nice for studying (there are different outlets despite what the other review said) and I love the tables near the windows. A bit too warm inside though during winter

Sadly no outlets for charging your laptop, but otherwise amazing place to work. Bit noisy so I worked with noise cancellers on. Big windows so natural lights.

I've been here 3 times and all the food I've tried is very good. The mint tea is also very good. A bit pricey but still good.

Closed at 3 p.m.: if you want coffee it's closed.

Nice and warm pastries in the morning but the downside is that you get distracted by the techno music in the morning when studying. Sometimes it also seems like the staff are in a bad mood and stressed, so they come off as unfriendly.

Leuke locatie. Wel self-service en kartonnen bekertjes, terwijl prijzen even hoog zijn als in café's met bediening en servies. Geen controle van qr-code.

Zeer gastvrij personeel! We kwamen voor openingstijd maar konden alvast een kopje koffie nemen en toen de broodjes afgekoeld waren hebben we heerlijk ontbeten.

The place is good. Close to University it has a lot of option to breakfast as sandwiches, cakes, Muffins and brownies. There is a lot of options for coffes. Besides, you can pay on catch or credit card. Is close to bus station, so if you are going to the center you can buy there while you are waiting.

Tasty coffee and good quality snacks, but a bit expensive.

Yummy coffee, sandwich was not so good

Goeie koffie, goeie chocomel, gezellig mensen en een prima plek om een meeting te houden, wat we daar dan uiteindelijk ook gedaan hebben. Buiten zitten gaat hier prima.

Great selection of drinks and some tasty treats on offer as well. Recommend the caramel hot chocolate! Service is super friendly and although it does get busy, service is super quick.

Cozy coffee place with a lot of options for both coffee and snacks. Since they also serve things like sandwiches, a light lunch is also possible. Their specials are good and the coffee is customisable. Sadly, they are a little pricy, but you get some very nice items that taste good for it. The service is also fast and the staff is friendly.
