Bakker van Maanen in Merenwijkdistrict

Please note: if you buy a sandwich inside here, it is forbidden to eat it at one of the empty tables. As a customer, you are asked to leave (an empty terrace) because no surcharge has been paid.

I saw a round cake, the size of a small apple pie, but more like a coffee bun or something. I was looking for something for my visitors to have with their tea. I asked the shopkeeper what it was. She shrugged and said, "Something sweet." A little more information would have been nice... Completely disinterested staff.

I went there to buy some small chocolate gifts

We were there for a few minutes of rest and coffee and this was nice. The hostess was also friendly.

I felt welcome and had a delicious cappuccino, and Els is a gem in this coffee corner!

I encountered an almost hysterical cashier when trying to pay. I was just standing in line because there was no one at the coffee corner to pay; I simply wanted to pay for my order, and I was snapped at because she claimed there wasn't enough staff. Some customers offered to let me go first, but that was out of the question. I paid €16, which I believe is more than the average customer who comes to get a sandwich. I found it a really negative experience; perhaps Van Maanen needs to do more regarding staff training.

Very often empty shelves. After 12 noon, no fresh rolls, croissants, etc. And after about 1 or 2 pm, no more bread for sale either.

Bought tasty things with a gift voucher.

Attractive display windows.. Delicious breads and nice information about breads!

Bad disinterested service. Latte Macchiato was not. Coffee with much too hot milk in it and a little foam on top. Young girl serving, but that in itself is no excuse. Shame

LUNCHROOM THE BAKERY CAFE In the Kopermolen you will find Bakker van Maanen in the middle of a large covered shopping center. We got delicious pastries. In addition to the well-known Bakker van Maanen, they also have a lunchroom; the bakery cafe. It is a top location where you can have lunch in the middle of the covered shopping center. The menu is simple and there were various types of coffee and delicious sandwiches with different types of fillings. A cappuccino XL and Grandma's meatball on a bed of lamb's lettuce and the base of broom bread were provided by the friendly and caring team. We felt at home in the neighborhood. #thetrialblogger
