Friendly owner and delicious food

The outside looks very nice, but the service and the fresh sandwiches are also delicious.

I bought a baguette this morning; I was shocked by the price: €2.50. Could it really be that good? I just ate it... Tough, not crispy at all, without any bubbles; in short, just white bread. This shouldn't be called a baguette.

A very fine bakery where simply good bread is baked without all kinds of flour improvers and other additives. I also find a wholemeal loaf for €3 very affordable. We also enjoy the rolls and currant buns (slightly lighter than those from the supermarket, but again, with much less junk in them). The staff is always incredibly friendly.

Ordered a deluxe salmon sandwich for €4.35. We received a dry bun with a few slices of salmon. No sauce, raw vegetables, or anything else. The tuna sandwich is thinly filled with supermarket own-brand tuna salad and nothing else extra.

Very cozy and tasty. The eclairs are really top-notch. Delicious coffee and cappuccino.

I'm only giving it one star. This is the first time I've seen fricandels in a roll in Paris. Someone had a brilliant idea for a name for a bakery that has absolutely nothing to do with France or Paris.

When I stayed the summer in Leiden, I went to Paris pan everyday. Affordable, comfy, not crowded. Most importantly, extremely top quality food.

On a Monday morning I bought two cheese croissants, which cost €5 here, which was fine, but they were tasty. With sesame seeds on them, they weren't crispy or tasty. Baked before the weekend??? This is really not acceptable!

Fantastic bakery! I don't understand the sourpusses with the bad reviews at all. Delicious fresh bread, wonderful sandwiches, and friendly service! Even as a non-Leiden resident, I'm happy to make the trip to this top-notch bakery!

Sweet place and nice service! Not quite understanding the lower scores as the experience here was better than the more popular bakeries. Pistols were fresh, kip kerrie and my Leidse jaas one were flavorful. Ditto for the coffee. Hope these ratings improve as the place deserves it.

I was there around 12:00 and you had a choice of pizza roll and ragout roll. I tell my boyfriend that I don't feel like it. We walked away and the owner looked at me very angrily. Yes, hello Mr. Baker, you have few choices of sandwiches. And now that I've read the reviews, I'm glad I didn't eat anything else.

Arrogant employees who don't even greet, let alone smile

Just got a pizza roll and chocolate roll plus 2 cans of drinks. Warm and hearty welcome, nice atmosphere, cozy little shop!

My wife and I have stopped here four or five times for pastries and coffee in the morning. The baking has always been fresh and tasty and the woman in the shop is always very friendly. I can’t understand why so many one-star reviews.

Very tough pastry. No idea what it's called, but it was a number 8 shaped pastry with custard and two strawberries. Of course, one doesn't go to the bakery for a tough old pastry!

Great atmosphere, good location and friendly staff. However, this sandwich is really not feasible, I pay 4.35 for a sandwich with literally only roast beef, nothing else. I took the “luxury sandwich” instead of the normal sandwich, but this luxury is not reflected. No lettuce, no sauce, nothing extra, just bread with meat. I won't come here again

Worst almond croissant and pain au chocolat I've ever had. So stale, no buttered layers, more like a bread roll than a french pastry. At least the service was nice.

Bad and still is bad. Case better close, plus I just read bad reviews.

Very bad experience. I enter the shop to buy 3 pastries, the guy gives them to me without specifying a little detail: they were all three frozen…. I mean I am without words

If you order a luxurious salmon sandwich for €4.35, you will receive a dry sandwich with a few slices of salmon. You have to ask for raw food yourself for an extra euro. A pity.

Zoals een bakker moet zijn, kwalitatief en betaalbaar. Zou je eens moeten ervaren!

Een bakker die echt geeft om zijn product. Het lijkt wel of alles lekkerder smaakt. Komt dat door de vakkennis die al jaren in de familie zit? Of de enthousiasme die de eigenaar heeft. Geen seconde gaat voorbij of hij zwaait naar een bekende. Het lijkt wel of heel Leiden deze bijzondere plek kent! Als je in Leiden bent, koffie en gebak en gegarandeerd genieten!

Frikandel broodjes zijn heerlijk, en de koffie uitstekend 🤗

Ik kom hier regelmatig voor een croissant of een warm Surinaams broodje en ja wat moet ik zeggen je hebt altijd dezelfde kwaliteit tegen een redelijke prijs

Broodjes waren prima, brownies hadden we iets meer van verwacht. Desalniettemin een prima zaakje.
