Very nice staff! Especially a very nice guy who helped me.

A very bad experience. There was a staff member (of Antillean descent) who was very rude and disrespectful. She said I had to pay extra to sit at a table because I would dirty the table. She looked at me and my 3-year-old son with disdain. My son politely said hello, but she didn't respond or greet me back. This behavior is unacceptable, especially towards a child. Customers deserve respect.

I sat down after placing my order. Before I could even take a bite, an employee came over and explained that if I wanted to sit down, I'd have to pay extra. Ah, I hadn't been asked. I would have sat somewhere else. It's a shame, though. I ordered two good sandwiches, but the service and atmosphere aren't exactly what you'd expect in this place.

A black employee acted strangely and asked for a croissant, but when we got home, she felt compelled to ask for brown bread. Unfortunately, we received the wrong order and it wasn't tasty. And they didn't do anything about it. We went back immediately and didn't do anything.

The shop shown is no longer in that location. It has moved to Bevreidingsplein. It's a bakery with a few coffee tables.

A top-notch bakery! The bread is always fresh and delicious, and the pastries are a real treat. Perfect for those who appreciate quality and delicious flavors!

Today around 10 a.m. I went to the bakery and asked for a sandwich. This young man politely told me it was actually from 11 a.m. until his female colleague snapped, "No, you can do it now, and look what you've got to make a sandwich," in such an ugly tone to that young man! I absolutely hated that! Wow. You're always supposed to be snappy with your colleague when there are customers in the store. I thought it was really antisocial the way she spoke to that young man! Her grumpy face in the store didn't even crack a smile! I just finished my sandwich, and that young man made it incredibly delicious. It was delicious! It would be nice if this woman were confronted about her behavior in the store with the staff.

I have been a gentleman for low-carb bread. It is tasty bread. I am very satisfied

Every time we come, they don't have the ingredients to make a sandwich, no matter what time. Just don't sell them then... Today I ordered two cappuccinos. It was just warm milk... Heating up a sausage roll wasn't an option either.

The store is almost empty at 9:10 am on the Vijfmeiplein in Leiden.

This bread is pricey, I'd rather go to Lidl for that, Now that the young man is gone, I'll get some pastries from the terrace

Sandwiches and pastries are grabbed with the bare hand, while (small) money has just been touched with the same hands. Quite unhygienic how they work here.

Good bakery, I buy all my bread and pastry products there

Employees are in control: fast service, tasty sandwiches and always friendly staff who are happy to answer questions.

The staff really helped me and I had a really good meal there. I recommend it to everyone.

Een plek waar je altijd terecht kan voor goed brood.

11 euros for 2 healthy sandwiches with so dramatic fillings that they are impossible to eat... prepared with bare hands without gloves, grabbing the balls and then paying Unsanitary, expensive and messy 1st and last time

Every morning I go to the van Maanen on the fifth of May square for a cappuccino with oat milk. Today I felt like having a green tea, I got half a full cup. I asked if the lady could refill it and she said this was not possible. This was the last time Van Maanen for me….

I like to come there for bread and a sandwich, but this time the bread was quite hard, not what I expected from Bakker van Maanen.

Small but nice bakery. Very friendly service. Delicious pastries and coffee.

The freshly prepared sandwiches are richly filled and very flavorful! They also have a great section of real peanut butter and jelly/own made pastries. Also, I’d recommend the ‘spelt eierkoeken’ as a midday snack, very tasty

Heel vriendelijk personeel en lekkere dingen. Prima ervaringen met Too good to go.

Weliswaar zijn de broodjes fijn en het personaal vriendelijk, maar de hygiëne laat te wensen over. Met de blote handen worden de voedingsmiddelen op het broodje gedaan. Dezelfde persoon rekent ook af, ook met cash en gaat weer naar de volgende klant. Ik heb niet één keer gezien, dat de handen werden gewassen of schoongemaakt.

Heerlijke gemaakte broodjes en andere lekkere spullen en het belangrijkste van alles fijn personeel.

Lekker brood, flinke sortering. En gebak natuurlijk.. Ook lekker.

Echte bakker, echt brood en gebak. De Dirk is er naast daar heeft men ook gebak vergelijk je dat met van Maanen dan is dat van Dirk niet te vreten!!

Heerlijk gebak en goede kwaliteit brood. Je betaalt iets meer maar dat proef je terug.

Lekker brood. Ook de cakes en taarten zijn ambachtelijk lekker.

Héérlijke gelegenheid op een prachtige plek in het centrum van de stad. Voortreffelijke koffie, lekkers, broodjes en brood.

Prima bakker met kwalitatief goede producten. Prijzen zijn helaas wel hoog en naar mijn idee niet in verhouding.
