Bakkerij Mens in West

Large selection of rolls and bread, also sweet pastries and chocolates.

Nice bread items, not a fan of the cake here but that shouldn't spoil the fun!

Bad service. I bought two cheese rolls that (I thought) were going into the convection oven. Ping, so I said...ready already? The lady suddenly said, "Yes, we have a combination microwave 🙈🙈🙈🙈 I was so surprised that she had seen my reaction. As I was walking out the door, I heard loud laughter. Just laugh, you guys! If this continues, this place will close down very soon. It's a shame for your boss, who put this up, don't you think?

Good bakery with good products.

A cozy bakery with good quality food. And incredibly friendly staff!

I regularly get my Too Good To Go packages here. Excellent value for money! Friendly staff, beautiful store. And delicious! 👍🏼

Mens Bakery has been acquired by Goemans; I really miss the old, friendly Mens team!!! A certain "Zara" at Goemans gave me a cold snap the first time, and the second time I saw her embarrass a customer and her colleague while she was supposed to fix it... and she just kept shaking her head! The shop has been converted to self-service, looks sleek and polished, but shrink-flation is especially noticeable on the individual pastries, and dogs are no longer allowed inside. That last part is understandable, but the atmosphere makes me want to cycle to a real bakery from now on... it feels too cold here. Such a shame, because the product looks well-made.

What a fantastic bakery! We came on Saturday afternoon. Super busy, but the staff remained friendly. Everything here is delicious. It was hard to choose, though.

What a disappointment, they used to have tasty sandwiches

Yesterday I ate a birthday chipolata cake. I used to buy it at Mens bakery, and it was always delicious! But this one was unanimously disappointing. It was dry, very sweet, and lacked any flavor. The cake was beautifully decorated, though. I hope this feedback is helpful...

Authentic, warm bread and pastry shop. Very friendly staff who still have time for a chat. Good service.

Bought delicious pastries and buns. So deliciously fresh.

Excellent quality, reasonably priced and friendly people!

Help is provided with a smile and a joke. Very friendly employees. Bread and pastries are always perfect!!

My regular baker, delicious fresh bread and pastries for a fair price

Delicious bread; multi-whole wheat without sesame 👍👌

After a question about the significantly increased price of pastries, I was treated unfriendly. I should go to another place if I wanted it cheaper.

Ordered online 24 hours in advance and the cake was ready and waiting. Delicious strawberry slippers.

Always good. Been coming there for years

Nice personal service, delicious products. Certainly a bakery that should not go under under the current economic circumstances.

Bought cake for a birthday, whipped cream was not good, several people indicated that it tasted strange. Reported the next day but the complaint was ignored. Only reported again because I no longer have an appetite for cake from them and I regret that the lady in question said that I should have reported it to Marian and finished it off by saying, sorry, but I want to close now. They have never heard of compensating, you will lose regular customers because of this attitude. Continue reading to Van Velzen Heiloo, I'm sure it's good and that the pastry that sits all day won't go back into the freezer.

Went there to buy some chocolates, asked for praline filling or marzipan. Ended up with 4 bonbons, of which the woman was certain contained that. After leaving the shop I tried them at home, none were praline or marzipan. 3 of them had alcohol, while I specifically did not want alcohol. Not buying chocolates here ever again.

Delicious fresh sandwiches and finally found a Hawaiian pizza sandwich! They are almost nowhere to be found anymore. The lady behind the counter was very friendly!

Delicious bread and pastries, and now it is possible to drink coffee on the terrace again

You will find the tastiest cakes here. Freshly made and with love. Helpful staff

Nice bakery with delicious sandwiches, tempting chocolates and pastries. Very tasty!

I bought a cinnamon roll here. This was quite expensive at 1.40, small and bone dry inside. Probably already a few days old. Not recommended. The bread I bought here was good and tasty.

Excellent bakery with a beautiful range.

Cozy but above all excellent bakery.

Delicious bread, pastries and chocolate

Delicious tompouces like they used to taste at Hema. They are no longer as tasty there. I'd happily drive a bit for that.

An excellent bakery with good products.

Nice coffee and cheese sandwich

Delicious products, especially the pastries.

Bought delicious birthday cake!!😋

Pleasant help and bought delicious bread and other delicacies

The tastiest pastry in Alkmaar, the Swiss tompouce is my favorite!

Delicious pastries and not expensive.

Staff is always friendly and pleasant. Bread and pastries fine.

Good fresh products. But you have to be willing to do something for it. It's worth it.

Received bad treatment today. I didn't want a healthy sandwich that had been in the display case for over half an hour. Asked the employee to make a fresh sandwich. I then receive 2 sandwiches, no butter on my sandwiches and the filling had flown over them... bad service from this not very friendly student! I'm not coming back. Go to an entrepreneur who pays attention to his customers.

I used to like coming here, but since there is a guide line for the blind, I avoid this place. The terrace has been placed in such a way that the municipality cannot complete the line and visually impaired people are trapped in the terrace. This entrepreneur apparently does not care about taking disabled people into account. Then I won't spend another cent...
