Great cocktails with excellent service.

We specifically wanted to visit this bar on New Year’s Eve and start the new year there. We had done the same thing last year and enjoyed it so much that we traveled to Amsterdam again just to do it again. However, at the entrance we were first told that we would have to pay €25 for an all-you-can-drink offer, which already seemed strange to us. Once inside, it suddenly became €125, and it was mandatory to take the all-you-can-drink option — it was not possible to pay for drinks individually. We found this very disappointing, especially since we had checked the website beforehand to see if there were any special conditions or events. €125 per person (with 2 out of 7 people not even drinking alcohol) is, in my opinion, extremely expensive for a “mandatory all-you-can-drink” offer. We definitely will not go there again on New Year’s Eve next year.

My friends and I had a grand time at the bar. The bartenders were so friendly and experienced. They seemed to enjoy and love making excellent drinks. The cocktails and drinks were so rich in taste. Truly a highlight of our trip in Amsterdam. Can only recommend!!!

Nice place the bartenders make it a 5/5 good service they also sometimes make cocktails that are not on the menu if you want something specific. Prices are on the expensive side but not what is not normal in amsterdam.

Cocktails are flavorful and complex. Moenier is a very friendly bartender and very knowledgeable. As someone who is also in the hospitality industry, it is always nice to see someone who loves their work and is passionate.

A modern cocktail bar that dares to experiment. The bartender creates drinks intuitively, and it works. My matcha and gin drink was unexpectedly well-balanced. The atmosphere is relaxed, the music upbeat. It's just a shame the chairs aren't comfortable for long evenings. Still, a top-notch spot!

Delicious drinks, good ambiance. Our bartender shared some of his favorite mezcal and tequila drinks and even gave us some fantastic recommendations around town.

Very nice bar in a good centric location of Amsterdam, with creative cocktails, good service and amazing mezcal menu. We were served by the owner, who had a nice conversation with us. As a Latin American I loved the concept of the drinks and the place as a whole :) will def come back!

A great bar with creative drinks and a pleasant atmosphere. It has a lively Mexican vibe, with a lovely interior and tasteful decorations. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options, which is nice. I appreciated the variety of sweet and fruity cocktails on the menu, and I liked that the selection wasn't overwhelming, making it easy to choose. I was happy with every drink I tried - maybe the quality of alcohol in some of them could be a bit better, you could taste some cheaper alcohol notes, but overall I have nothing to complain because prices were fair. I can recommend the place!

Wonderful night at Bar Bacán! The cocktails were fantastic, great music and vibes and a brilliant service. I found the drink for me basically immediately (White Candle) and after a few orders, I was asked to be a guinea pig to taste a new recipe.. ended up with two lovely drinks for the price of one! Highly recommend Bar Bacán to anyone looking for a relaxed drink!

Yesterday I went with my friends to celebrate my birthday, and it was delightful. I felt really comfortable, and also, the cocktails are really good.

Wow, I drink alot of cocktails (!) but this place is exceptional. Ryan is a master mixologist. The blend of flavours is so well balanced. He will listen to what you like and advise on the best option. I’m not even a huge tequila / mezcal fan but the smoky flavours of these cocktails were delicious. Highly recommend!

We stumbled upon this bar while exploring Amsterdam with a group of friends and I’m so glad we did! Our bartender Ryan just made the whole experience for us. He was so knowledgeable on the tequilas and even made us speciality drinks based on things we like. Unique drinks and the bar was a vibe!

Absolutely fantastic cocktails from an incredibly friendly and professional bartender. Most are his own creations, and if there's nothing on the menu that you like, he'll mix a cocktail for you.

Had the best time here. We came in on Valentine’s Day when every other notable bar was fully booked, but they had space. We were treated to great cocktails, the server/bartender Ryan and his colleague did an amazing job telling us about the drinks and making them (off menu too), so I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good service and delicious cocktails. The place is Mexican, so they made their own versions of classic cocktails with tequila and mezcal, you’ll be surprised how good they are.

We attended the bar yesterday. The cocktails, atmosphere and music was great, however the waiter kept on coming and asking if we wanted more and in maximum 40 minutes after serving the first cocktail, he asked of we wanted to get the bill. Both of us felt being kicked out. The waiter knew it was our first time in the bar and in general didn't give an impression of a people person. The bar is great, but there are other great bars in Amsterdam with a less hostile service. We will not be back.

The cozy and warm atmosphere brought us in and the service was fantastic. Barman asked for my fav flavors and I got the cocktail I've only dreamed of 🤩 highly recommend to stop by.

I didn't try the food so I can't speak to that. The reason for not trying it was the bad attitude of the bartender. Disgusting, pretentious. The place was empty and I asked him for permission to put out some incense and he didn't want to do it. I don't recommend it at all.

If you love tequila and mezcal, you have to come! It's an authentic place and believe me, you don't have to go there to drink another alcohol. Of course you can, but the truth is, go and live the experience with tequila and mezcal. Bram & Valter will make you a wonderful night full of knowledge and happiness! I had "La Piña", which was served in a beautiful bowl and tasted delicious (smokey and spicy, but the flavors work together very well). We sat outside in sub 10 degree weather but it was quite warm thanks to the lights.

It's a very good Tequila&Mescal Bar in the town. We tried the Mango-Margarita (but with some chili 🥵) it was nice but i think without chili would be better!

This was a great place we visited on a weekday. It was quiet as expected but the bartender(s) helped the night go so well. We were chatting the whole time we were there and he was absolutely lovely.

I'm not much of a cocktail person but the Oaxacan old fashioned was perhaps the best drink I've ever had. Staff were really friendly as well and know their craft. Loved it.

We sat at the bar and were entertained all night watching how they prepare the drinks. The bartenders are true artists, they prepare each drink with great care and dedication. They are friendly and definitely knowledgeable. It is quite an experience, I loved all the drinks.

The other reviews are correct...... Until Saturday after 10pm! Craft Tequila bar, passionate bartender, nice music. Then at 10pm the metamorphosis: stag/hen parties come in for shots and the hardcore music goes on!

The Mezcal Espresso Martini was fantastic! Recommended by our server and did not disappoint. Delicious mezcal options, as well.

He even took the time to explain the ingredients and techniques behind his signature drinks. This is the place to enjoy excellent cocktails. This is the place to go if you want to enjoy one of the best cocktails of your life. Better than any place in Amsterdam, even better than most of the overrated cocktail bars on the same street. The setup is on point. The music was excellent and at the right volume. Also, the service is something you rarely experience in Amsterdam; hands off to the young bartender who just started there, his cocktails are out of this world. A Mexican-oriented cocktail bar with good cocktails and very friendly service. Everything was fine, but because a previously visited cocktail bar in Ghent was even better in all areas, it still received 'only' 4 stars.

Amazing cocktails full of flavours. We asked the bartender to make something based on our personal taste and he made the best drinks ever, exactly how we wanted them. We were 2 girls and nobody bothered us, very nice place.

Amazing cocktails that are surprisingly different from your standard cocktail selection but all very nice. Menu doesn’t list alcohol free options but if you ask they’ll make you something delicious.
