Sonora Bar in Zuidas

Lovley place, we had dinner and then had drinks at the cocktail bar. All bar service: Simone,Joannis, Gabriela were amazing and made us feel special. We had amazing time, thank you amd highly recommended!!!

We spent 4 days at the NHOW Hotel in Amsterdam, where this bar is located at the 24th floor. Wonderful view and nice Cocktails. Ioannis, Mac, Simone and the other guys of the crew were good hosts. If you are in Amsterdam you should check this place out. You can reach the location easy by metro.

This place is really nice. The cocktails are very tasty and the staff can tweak any cocktail based on your preference. The staff is very welcoming and attentive, we loved to have a chat with them! We will be back.

Totally recommend this place!! We had an amazing night, all because of Ioannis and Simone, they recommended amazing cocktails. We will repeat for sure!! 🙌🏼

Mac is a great waiter, friendly and nice, and he recommends really good things. Simone also served us and he's just as good, friendly, and nice. I'll be back.

We had a lovely time trying out the unique cocktails here. The Paloma from the new menu had an interesting oregano end-twist to it and we really loved the Manhattan with the brownie✨! Thankyou so much to Ioannis for the hospitality and the good banter

Nice lounge bar for drinks and music.nice view.cocktail could be better !

Mac helped us so well! Great service, very friendly, and gave us some really good recommendations. We had a great experience and will definitely be coming back to Sonora! And Selva ofcourse

Gabrielle and Dora are truly the stars of the cocktail world! 🍸🔥 Delicious cocktails, beautifully presented, and made with so much passion. Everything was perfect — from the taste to the presentation. Absolutely recommended! ✨🥂

The drinks are good and we had an amazing service from Mac🫶🏽

We had a wonderful evening here at Sonora. Simone and Gabriella made us feel truly at home. Next time I'm in Amsterdam, I'll definitely stop by this beautiful rooftop.

We had a very good time, the drinks were really good and the bartenders were really nice! Especially Ioannis, Mac, Henrique and Simone!

Good view and good vibes. Ioannis, Mac, Henrique and Simone were amazing!

The waiters Joannis Mac Henrique and Simone served us very nicely.

The ambiance high above the rooftops of Amsterdam was simply beautiful! Ioannis was incredibly friendly and attentive. The cocktails and soft drinks were delicious. They cater to individual requests and even served cocktails that weren't on the menu. I highly recommend the Sonora Bar! Thank you for the wonderful evenings with you :)

Sonora Bar is an absolute gem in Amsterdam! The venue itself is gorgeous with a fantastic vibe, but what truly set our experience apart was the exceptional service. A massive shoutout to Johnnis, Simone, Dora, and Henrique—they made our night completely unforgettable. They struck the perfect balance between high-level professionalism and warm, engaging conversation. Everyone was incredibly friendly, knew the menu inside and out, and gave us spot-on recommendations. They genuinely went out of their way to make sure we were having a blast. If you're in Amsterdam and looking for incredible drinks, a beautiful atmosphere, and top-tier hospitality, Sonora is a must-visit. 5 stars all the way!

An exceptional moment made possible by the incredible team of Dora, Simone, and Ioannis. Thank you again to them for a birthday party I will remember for a long time!!

The bartender who served me was VERY rude to me, but I noticed he was super friendly to ALL NON- BLACK patrons. This is very concerning. I’ll remind you, the customers are the reason you stay in business and have a job, so it’s important to be kind to ALL! I will not return, as I have been taught to go where MY PEOPLE are celebrated, not tolerated. On a positive note, my steak was very good!

Amazing place! The cocktails are top notch👍🏼🍸 Ioannis, Simone, and Henrique made the evening not only delicious but also fun.

Love this place! Sonora is easily one of the coolest spots in Amsterdam for amazing cocktails and great vibes. Huge thanks to Ioannis, Simone, and Henrique these guys are absolute pros! Their craft, energy, and genuine hospitality made the night special. Super knowledgeable, friendly, and top-tier bartending all around. Definitely coming back soon. Highly recommend!💚

After Selva, we decided to have one more drink at Sonora. Pleasantly busy for a Monday night, with a very diverse crowd. We had a nice spot at the bar and the bartenders made the atmosphere complete. Thanks Henri, Ioannis & Simone for the good times and great service!

Super friendly staff , amazing drinks and atmosphere!!!

We enjoyed our stay and had excellent service from Ioannis and Simone they were very attentive, friendly, and kind even though we didn't spend much. Each night they were spot on! Thank you!! J&L

Sonora has great cocktails/mocktails and is a beautiful bar. Laurynas, Simone, Mac and Ionnis were all amazing!

Sonora Bar is a gem in Amsterdam! The vibe is warm and inviting, the cocktails are top-notch, and the staff truly knows their craft and out host Ioannis suggested amazing cocktails. Whether you're a mezcal lover or just looking for a unique night out, this place delivers. Don't miss their incredible selection it's a taste of Mexico in the heart of the city.

The bar is amazing and the host Ioannis was great, we had a wonderful time !!

This has to be the best View+Service in Amsterdam and also the best i have ever experienced. The View is stunningly Beautiful, you feel like on top of the World. Ioannis, Enriique and Simone a de Imperatore Venicia brought me all the Corn i needed to have the best Birthday Night with my Girlfriend. They were super kind, funny to be around and knew exactly in what way they could talk to me and my Girlfriend. There have been many servers and barkeepers who were polite and built a connection but those guys didnt even need to build a connection, it was already there. The perfect spot to spend Money on expensive drinks, 100% worth it. Will come again, see you soon guys! Shoutout to Chiara also, she kept us good Company at the bar.

Fantastic cocktail choices - our servers: Ioannd and Henri were attentive and gave us an expert run through of the menu

Great drinks and very nice atmosphere to spend the night, special thanks to amazing bartenders Ioannis and Simone!

The place is so welcoming, the atmosphere there is relaxed, good drinks, Ioannis, layrynas and Mac did a perfect job hosting a d serving us!

I've been to Sonora a few times before in the past, they were all great, however, recently I passed by for a drink and the experience was a million times better due to Ioannis serving my friend and I. He introduced to me mezcal in a very beautiful way and made me a cocktail based off of it, (naked and famous). He made sure we were taken care of the whole night with great vibes and service as well. I would definitively recommend this bar to anyone looking for a good drink and latin music/food. Thank you to the rest of the team as well!

Amazing atmosphere and hospitality. The host Ioannis was excellent and very caring!

"The perfect spot to unwind. Great music, comfy seating, and a fantastic selection of drinks and bites. The panoramic skyline view is the cherry on top. Ioannis was amazing host and very funny! Will definitely be back!

Sonora is hands down the best rooftop bar in Amsterdam! The 360-degree view of the city is absolutely breathtaking, and the sunset here is pure magic. Ioannis is top tier service!

We only stopped by Sonora briefly, but had a really great experience. Ioannis and Mac were both incredibly polite, friendly and attentive. Service was quick, we never had to wait long for anything, and they made us feel very welcome even though we weren’t there for long. Would definitely recommend stopping by. Thanks Ioannis and Mac! ❤️

The Coco Real de Sonora was incredible!! Simon Mac and Ioannis, thank you for your attentive service and the best cocktails in town :)

Excellent service! Thanks to Yannis and Simone for their warm welcome and hospitality. Excellent cocktails, creative and prepared with great care. Highly recommended! 🍸⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent cocktails and incredible service from Dora, Max, and Yanis in a beautiful setting! I highly recommend it <3

Our experience at Sonora Bar was a mixed one. Before dinner, we stopped by for a drink while waiting for our table, and it was fantastic. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to come back after dinner. Unfortunately, our second visit wasn’t nearly as enjoyable. We had to wait a long time for a table, although Max was absolutely amazing throughout the evening. He was friendly, professional, and did his best to make our experience better. We ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail but were served the wrong one. We politely asked for it to be replaced, but it took around 20 minutes to arrive. By that point, everyone else at the table had already finished their drinks, so I no longer wanted mine. When it was time to pay, the replacement cocktail finally arrived. I explained that I no longer wanted it because of the long wait, and the staff member responded by saying that if I didn’t want it, he would drink it himself. We found this comment extremely rude and unprofessional. The only real highlight of our second visit was Max, who remained kind and attentive despite everything. We hope the service issues can be improved, as the bar itself has great potential.

A very good experience here, the cocktails are delicious and stylishly prepared, the view from the 24th floor is very nice too. Special mention to Enrique and Max who took great care of us 👍 (from the two brothers since defqon.1 weekend)

Great cocktails, nice views, best staff!! We were helped by Ionnis and Simone..

Great atmosphere and excellent service. Mac was very friendly and clearly knowledgeable about cocktails. He made me a fantastic Negroni and really added to the experience. Definitely recommend Sonora!

The best hotel experience I've ever had. The service was excellent, and I want to especially thank Enrique, who was very kind and attentive, particularly to my group of friends. Thank you for that.

Great space! Mac really made us feel right at home and his energy was contagious, will come back

The service we received during our two days in Sonora was truly exceptional. Both Kristian and Henrique provided excellent service; it's clear they enjoy their work and genuinely love being in the hospitality industry.

Henrique and Kristian provided excellent service! They were very attentive and made us feel right at home. The food was spectacular. We'll definitely be back.

Everything was great. Especially the service from our waiter Henrique. 200% recommended.

Great atmosphere, service and drinks. Mac - Simon - Ioannis top, thanks for the great vibe.

Amazing cocktails, spectacular views and absolutely impeccable service from Henrique, Simon, Simone and Kristian.

The waiter who served me, named Henrique, gave me excellent service, and the bartender Max makes spectacular cocktails ✨

The place is beautiful and very peaceful with great views. Henrique was super friendly and efficient with our service. Max makes delicious cocktails and is also very pleasant; he made our dinner very enjoyable and fun. We will definitely be back!

My first time at Sonora and I immediately understand why people keep coming back. The location is beautiful and the atmosphere is super cozy, but above all, the welcome and service really made the evening perfect. Ioannis, Mac, and Simon: thank you for the lovely attention and good care. I will definitely be back!

I first went at selva and the drinks by dora were amazing. When I went to sonora the drinks were out of this world. Simon really made my evening special

Excellent service from the first day we arrived. The attention, the hospitality, the quality: absolutely 100%. Ioannis and Marc were helpful and attentive every moment we enjoyed Sonora. Thank you for everything from Argentina.

Ioannis and Mac were incredibly kind and helpful from the very beginning. They made us feel right at home. They were so much fun and always tried to make sure we had a great time. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing. The music was fantastic.

I had the chance to go for a drink and ended staying there for 3h. Excellent cocktails and service of Mac. Highly recommend

Mac was absolutely outstanding ❤️

best bartender in Amsterdam I found in Amsterdam during a work trip, thank you Jose Mcdonalds

Ioannis, Mac, Henricke & Sumbat & Jamal the security definitely made our boring Tuesday night better! Took the time to explain the concept to us, entertained us and were super lovely not only to us but to the whole crowd! Definitely made a normal Tuesday seem like a fun Saturday!

The bartenders Ioannis, Sumbat, Henri and Mac were wonderful and gave us individual attention! Big well done and I will be coming back thanks to them!

100% advised for the hip and trendy side of Amsterdam. Top service, tasteful cocktails, and a View to enjoy, what more could you want. Laury, Henrique, Simone, Ioannis, thank you for taking such good care of us.

The service was impeccable; our server, Henrique, went above and beyond to ensure we had a great evening. The cocktails and food perfectly matched the bar's theme. A bit pricey, but very enjoyable.

Henrique the nicest man i have ever met

Henrique is an amazing bartender and very helpfull, serves the best cocktails! Thank you loads

Very nice bar with Henrique, a very attentive, helpful and friendly waiter.

On that July evening, we were served by Henrique; the service was impeccable, nothing more to say except that the lighting, in my opinion, was dimmed a little too quickly.

The service was very pleasant; the waiter Henrique was very welcoming and friendly.

Henrique provided excellent service and was very attentive.

Simon gave the absolute best recommendations and came through with bringing out the best drinks with the best service.

Excellent service from Mac Simon and Iannis! What a guys!

Great service from the bar team; Simone & Laury ❤️ + others.

We enjoyed delicious after-dinner cocktails following a fantastic dinner at the adjacent restaurant Selva. We were seated at the bar, and flowers I received for my birthday were placed in a vase on the bar, along with a small glass of bubbly for my girlfriend and me as a gesture from the house. The welcoming energy and professional craftsmanship of the gentlemen behind the bar and the wait staff were exceptionally good. We enjoyed the service and the interaction between the bartenders and their guests. Moreover, the ambiance is cosmopolitan with fitting and pleasant background music. A solid 10!

Chiq cool atmosfeer and nice views

I always have such a good time coming to this bar ! The cocktails are amazing and so is the service. Max recommended me great drinks. You should also try the restaurant Selva, great dining experience ☺️

great drinks, great food, dope bartenders. 5 dishes and 2 drinks, less than 150 euros. very good

We has the opportunity to have some drinks and eat a bite here. Lovely views, great ambiance and service. Thanks Ioannis for taking great care of us.

Great service and a good ambiance! Although I don’t really enjoy alcohol, it was a great experience to visit this bar! The waiters skillfully helped us choose our different cocktails and gave us a great evening! Really enjoyed the classy environment! Experienced our experience with Ioannis, Ricky, Sumbat and Mac!

As you walk in Sonora you step into an elegant place with latin rhythms and nature inspired decor. The panoramic views of Amsterdam and friendly staff add to the class of this place. Yannis added to the experience with his politeness and knowledge about the cocktails. Loved it!!

Some of the best drinks you can find in town. Coupled with an amazing view and extremely professional staff. Ioannis is the master of drink tailoring. He will pick the perfect cocktail no matter your taste. 10/10 will definitely recommend and return!

The service was absolutely amazing. Ioannis and Subat were exceptional in both service and explanation. It made our stay at the bar special and unforgettable. I 100% recommend Sonora for anyone who is looking for delicious drinks and very friendly staff.

The drinks were very good, and Mac was a great host. Totally recommend, will definitely comeback :))))

A great evening following a long PLMA day. Delicious cocktails & very tasty finger food served by the amazing & super helpful team of Ioanis, Simone & Dora. Thank you all!

i wanted a table for 2, the racist servicemen said he’s going to check “if the kitchen is still open”, when he came back he told us “sorry we are full” i had a feeling he was racist and thats why he turned us down, people were evidently leaving and its obvious that he lied to us, the funny thing is i didnt even had to look very far to see that at the bar there were seats available aswel. I wanted to drink at this establishment 25th of may because of the nice weather, i came with a lady. I was looking forward for a long time to drink there. Bad experience, never thought i would experience racism in 2026

Great experience the waiter was really nice Ioannis and simone

We had a wonderful evening at Sonora Bar. We were served by the lovely bartenders, Ioannis and Simone, who were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the night. We will definitely be coming back!

Delicious cocktails and all the staff are super friendly and helpful especially Ioannis and Mac!

Amazing cocktails, love the view!

Amazing cocktails - and what a view 😍

I had such a great time at this bar yesterday. The ambiance was fantastic, and the 360° view really made the whole experience feel special. The bartenders were all incredibly friendly, with a special shoutout to Max, who made us feel especially welcome. We loved the snacks and the cocktails, everything was thoughtfully prepared, unique, and absolutely delicious. You can really tell a lot of care goes into what they serve here. Overall, a really enjoyable experience, and I’d definitely come back!

Came here with my sister for a celebration. Had two cocktails each which were all lovely although very pricey. The staff were so nice and welcoming especially Max the bartender. Not exactly a place to go if you’re on any kind of budget but a really beautiful experience to look out over the city with delicious drinks.

Simon was incredible. Impeccable knowledge on high end cocktails. Could not recommend higher thank you again for making my experience here one worth talking about l

Hey everyone, I felt like I'd stepped back into the 70s in the States, a real blast from the past... top-notch service, Thomas and Henrique are amazing bartenders, and your Peruvian wine was killer... the Chilean wine was fantastic... I highly recommend it... AMAZING

We didn't eat, but it was a pleasant experience. Sonora is a lovely place to have a drink, with friendly and welcoming staff.

The ambiance, service and drink quality were all excellent. While I am not one to seek out fancy cocktails, it was a great experience to try their variety and have knowledgeable friendly servers! If your preferred drink isn't on their list, they are happy to make it regardless! (And add their own flair to it). We liked it enough to go twice while in town. 10/10

My husband and I were instantly in love with this bar! The vibe is great, the view even better and the best are definitely the employees! They were incredibly service-orientated and the nicest people. You’ll notice they know their menu and can help you picking the right drink for you. We enjoyed our stay so much, we even came back again the next evening 😊

Mac, Simon and Sumbat took the best care of our group! And the cocktails were great!

Attentive and caring service, delicious drinks and nice sharing food. The music is soft and the vibe is lively! Will come back

Great cocktails, servers Mac, Simon and Sumbat took great care of us.

Amazing service from Mak, Simon and Sumbat :))
