Hi, I've been in a city break in Amsterdam, and among others we find this little gem. We've had a few cocktails each in a cozy corner, no-one talking too loud, nobody staring or impolite. Perfect cocktails, perfect service, perfect atmosphere! Affordable prices. Definitely worth trying!! Very good job guys!!

Came for drinks, Barmen told me that they closed, and will open on 18:30. I came on 18:30, they were closed, told me 5 minutes, after 15 minutes they were still closed and I leave.

Friendliest staff in Amsterdam you can find! Also by far the tastiest tequila sunrise! Its definitely a special place with amazing tastes. Be friendly and kind to staff and you will have a memorable night for sure :)

Nice experience with ringing the bell to get in, the overall atmosphere and the clothing of the staff. Cocktails were definitely well made & delicious! Only on the small side, which made the price a bit high. They work with a seasonal menu, so you won't find the standard cocktails here. Menu for snacks quite boring/poor.

Super cute environment. The decor is truly unique. Easy to find for a speakeasy. Our drinks were good. I wish they had more flavor options. I had the hipster mojito. That’s not what it’s called but it’s what it seemed like. Would definitely visit again if in the city as all their drinks are seasonal.

Excellent cocktail bar! The place is really very cozy, with superb decor, you feel very good there. The welcome is great and the cocktails are really delicious. A little pearl in this neighborhood. Cocktails between €13 and €17.

My god I love the ambience. The service was awesome. I loved the way the water was given along with the cocktails. The bartender was super busy making gems the whole evening. Never seen him rest! The attendees were also super great . The came multiple times to enquire how was the drinks etc...

Overrated. We ordered two cocktails, one was ok but not special and the other one was bad. The waitress didn't really care. The atmosphere was great.

We have visited here several times with our guests who visited us in Amsterdam. It’s a bar that I’m proudly present when our guests are in town as the cocktails are good and strong with very attentive services. The atmosphere is really nice, cozy with the beautiful decorations. The bartenders are always friendly to guests. If you are alone town, don’t be hesitate to visit there as you can find good conversations with other customers or the staffs. Since they do not accept the reservations, you will need to walk-in there. Ring the doorbell at the front door, if you are lucky then you will be seated right away. It happened to us a few times that we need to wait at the front door for about 15-20 mins. But it’s worth waiting for… You can find explanation of the taste on each cocktail in the menu. The cocktails are expensive side but since it’s quite strong so you can be tipsy quite after 2 glasses.

Easily my favorite cocktail bar in Amsterdam. Unlike most places here, you can tell the bartender what flavors you'd like and they will mix up something off menu. Discovered a new favorite cocktail that way, the 19th century cocktail, by saying I wanted bourbon, chocolate, and citrus. It was fantastic!

Great cocktails and an intimate atmosphere! Recommended...

I can't express how disappointed I am with my experience at Rosalia's. After waiting outside for 30 minutes, we were repeatedly told they couldn't accommodate us because they "didn't have space for two," yet they let in a group of three who arrived 10 minutes after us, letting them in straight away, I.e. a group of 2 was not OK but a group of 3 was. To add insult to injury, there was a table for four sitting empty the entire time. When we asked about it, the female staff member casually said, "We have to wait and see IF a larger group comes to use that table." Clearly, they prioritized potential larger groups over actual paying customers. This blatant disregard for our time and money was infuriating. Instead of enjoying their cocktails, we left and went to the Flying Dutchman, where we were welcomed with open arms and had an amazing time. We ended up buying six cocktails in just an hour there, proving that Rosalia's missed out on what could have been a great transaction. If you’re looking for a cocktail bar that values you as a customer, do yourself a favor and skip Rosalia's. Their rude and ungrateful attitude made it clear they don’t deserve your business.

Lovely hidden cocktail bar. You just need to know where it is, ring the bell and wait till they open. Inside is cozy but really nice, not too dark as other places and also, the time I've been there, people were quiet which was nice. Most of the cocktails are revisited classics, so classic ideas but very different execution. I noticed a lot of attention to the glass and the ice, which I particularly appreciated. My favourite of the evening was the Sicilian Sour #2. Luca, the bartender, was both friendly and focussed on the job. I also tried his special drink for an ongoing competition (Walking in the forest) and it was a really nice drink. Way more complex taste than other classics. Personal negative points I noticed and would like to remark are only two. First and most important, there were no snacks / peanuts served next to the cocktails. I think that for such places, having a couple of small things to eat while drinking for a few hours would be a must. Another thing to consider is that the place itself is also the hall of a small guesthouse/hotel. They only have a few rooms upstairs, but being Amsterdam next to the red district I believe sometimes some customers might be louder than others, which for such a nice cocktail bar would be a shame. We did not have any problem with this, but you never know. Next time I will be in Amsterdam I need to visit again for sure.

Unfortunately you don't get the feeling of being welcome from the waiters even though you pay a lot for the cocktails... Much more than it's actually worth. Nice to enter after ringing the bell, the waiter made us wait a long time to get in even though the shop was half empty. Once we passed a little bottom-up inspection from the waiter, we were allowed in. Cold atmosphere, cocktails were very well made but cold, not welcome atmosphere at an overpriced exorbitant price.

One of the best drinking experience in my life. The bartender and the waiter was gentle with us even if english is not our mother tongue, they care about your taste and they always check that you have enough water. 5 star thank you !

We came here all the way from Rotterdam. And at 12:15 they refuse us entry. While on Google map it says that they are open until 1am.

This bar is a gem! We were lucky that there were still places available. By far the most “flairful” 😉 bar we have visited in Amsterdam - and perhaps in general. Very (!) good cocktails (also virgin), very (!) attentive staff. We'll definitely be back,

Delicious cocktails!! I'm a real cocktail lover so I tried a lot of different cocktails in Amsterdam when we visited. This one really stood out! I think a nice detail is that you had to ring the bell if you wanted to enter, so you end up in a very nice atmosphere. And of course delicious cocktails that taste really good! Definitely recommended

Incredible cocktails, the decoration is magnificent, it’s small but very intimate and cozy, I love the cabinet of curiosities atmosphere. The coconut cocktail was excellent!

Even though the current menu isn't fully my taste, the cocktails I had were very balanced, tasteful and deep. The atmosphere is amazing; it's a small bar with few spots, but doesn't necessarily feel like it. Decoration is on point staying with the idea of a 'menagerie'. The one thing I'm really not a fan of, is when seated at the bar, the bar tender is on a platform and you are looking up at them. Prices are very reasonable for the quality served.

A cool speakeasy that’s perfect for a nightcap. The Manhattan was very good… had those nice Luxardo style cherries. They also apparently have a hotel that you can stay at upstairs as well.

If you want to drink a delicious cocktail in a special cocktail bar, then you MUST be here. Press the doorbell and the door of the most special place in this genre opens. Very cool and the cocktails are really the best!

Visited a couple times, the menu occasionally changes, but always has some unique theme or a twist. Maybe a little on the pricey side, but very good quality.

Cocktail bar extremely refined both in cocktails and in the environment. The background music is also very sophisticated. I was able to appreciate an excellent Negroni, in the "Johannes R. Negroni" version. Delicious and beautiful presentation. Very positive experience. Highly recommended!

I have 3 favorite bars in Amsterdam, and Rosalia is one of them. Very cozy, speakeasy with quiet pleasant music, you can talk without the music hitting your ears)) Great bartenders and the cocktails are 10/10 every time.

Magnificent bar with attentive service!

Rosalia’s is a fantastic bar. Their bartender Mathieu is young but is a master bartender. Eszter also did an outstanding making us feel welcome.

A proper place for sophisticated drinking. This is a delightful mix of a quirky venue, interesting people, advanced drinks, and contemporary yet cozy atmosphere. The cocktails are on another level, and so is the deep knowledge about everything drink related of Barkeeper and staff. If I lived in Amsterdam, this would be my second living room.

The vibes are incredible here, it is a very fun spot. The drinks are delicious as well, but I would recommend going for the more spirit forward options as the drinks we had were on the sweeter side of their classic counterparts.

I highly recommend this place, which in my opinion is one of the best of Amsterdam. Quality of the cocktails is excellent. You can tell that what they propose to customers have been studied ad hoc as for refined taste. They normally change the menu to better satisfy seasonal palate, also they have a permanent menu with their best selection. Service is very good as well, and waiters are absolutely kind and knowledgeable. You cannot miss this place if you’re in the city! :)

I love any thing with Chartreuse but my favorite drink is made at this wonderful Speakeasy in Amsterdam called Rosalia "The last word". A beautiful place to be.

Small and very exclusive bar on the edge of Amsterdam's nightlife. The cocktails are based on existing classics of the cocktail scene, but are reinterpreted. First drink was a Yarrow Highball (Original Whiskey Highball), here as an aperitif with something carbonated. The preparation was rather unspectacular, but the taste was even better. Secondly, a 3 Wood Manhattan (original Manhattan). Also very good in taste, but also rather simply prepared. However, the ambience is really great! We were there on a Tuesday evening and there was already a lot going on. The bar is probably full on weekends.

A very small cocktail bar with very few seats and unique cocktails. The waiter was very informative about everything that was on the menu and helped us choose our tasteful drinks. The bar’s decoration was cozy and welcoming, definitely we will visit again.

Lovely bar, cozy and peaceful. My partner and I had two drinks here for over an hour and a half. Service was highly knowledgeable and offered personalised drinks to our taste. More of a date night experience than the overcrowded tourist areas. As other reviews have said, press the buzzer outside and wait for there to be a table available.

So glad we went here! My husband and I were in agreement on the 5 star rating and that never happens. He had a modern twist on an old fashioned and I had a lovely peach drink. We enjoyed the atmosphere. And lived the secret door!

100% recommend! Matthew took care of us and he was a doll! So sweet and thorough when he greeted us and explained the menu. They update the menu every season. We ordered everything he recommended and they were delicious. Everything at this place was well thought out. So much care and thought was put into the decorations, even the receipt and menus!

What a delightful little gem of a place. You'd almost walk past this place if you didnt know of it. We were reccommended to give it a visit and it did not dissappoint. Its a cute little place with live cocktails made. Welcomed by the nice informative ushers and bar staff. Marvelous drinks both visually and tastefully. It could be considered a little pricey but it is in a city centre i was happy with the class and dignity of this special little trinket. I had the whiskey mix corn corn corn with the cut of orange peel and block ice it was really nice and my wife had the daquiri that was very elegant and served in a classy cocktail flute. She said it was delicious, sweet yet strong for a small drink. A must visit in amsterdam. We would return and will recommend to everyone. Thanks fellas and good mustâche game on all of you

Well, didn’t have a chance to enter the establishment as after we rang the bell the guy told us they were closed despite there were many people inside. Believe me, I’m from New York and have been to many speakeasy and upscale bars. This one is not even speakeasy. Shame in you and your way of treating tourists. That guy was the worst person (and a liar eventually) I’ve met in Amsterdam.

We learned that it was a place discovered by our friends by chance and we went there out of curiosity. There are very few tables inside. To get in, you have to ring the bell and wait for the attendant to open the door. If there is a table available, they invite you in. I can say that it is a very mysterious place in itself. We went in the evening, the interest was quite high and we waited at the door for about 20 minutes. It was definitely worth the wait and we were able to sit in the best corner of the place🧡 A very attentive and kind waiter served us. Our favorite cocktail is the Sicilian Sour!✨ simply amazing!! Be sure to try it. We thank you for once again providing us with an enthralling experience in a magical city like Amsterdam. We will definitely come again.

Single male, stayed two nights. For the price it is just amazing. Top room. It is just great. It is like a small bar/hotel. Boutique hotel reflecting Amsterdam to the core. That house was probably built in the 1500's lol. Love it. Brick all the walls. Restroom is great, is big. Everything works. Bed is comfortable. And the location is fantastic is across the street from a metro station. And like 15 min walk to central station. Restaurants and food just right there. Breakfast is the cherry on top. Is so good and the cook, what a really nice guy. The other guys that work the bar and help you get the bag upstairs are great too...The steps are the steepest of all the steps I have ever seen before. Like 1500's staircase :) . If you have gone up the stairs to the dome of a cathedral like in Rome or in London, that is similar. I don't mind, is good work out. But if you fall you die lol. A+ hotel. Just stay.

Not only are these drinks at the highest tier for quality and execution, the whole experience is properly tailored, with limited entrance, giving this place the properly intimate atmosphere. For a night out with someone special, it comes highly recommended.
