Absolutely smashed it! We had intimate celebration at private dining area..and it was perfect! Shout out to Muriel who was very patient with million of my emails, and created a very special atmosphere for us and to Tom who made sure that everyone has a beverage at all times! Genuinely can't recommend this place more...and the food was absolutely gorgeous! Thank you once again!!!

We just came in, asking for a table for 10 adults and 3 kids for drinks only. The restaurant was empty, and the waiter said that they are only with the two, not able to serve us. Very odd experience since the restaurant was empty and i clearly stated that we only want a drink. They refused.

A cozy spot for drinks. Very good service and attentive staff. Unfortunately, the food wasn't great. The carpaccio starter was very tasty and good quality. However, it was served within a minute of ordering, which wasn't necessary. The wines were excellent. We then asked them to wait a bit longer for the main courses. The main courses were served at our request, and they looked good. Unfortunately, the ravioli was too salty, and the lamb chops had more fat than meat. The tiramisu for dessert made up for it. In short, a great bar for drinks. The cocktails looked good. But for dinner, I'd stick to carpaccio and fries.

Amazing pasta, great atmosphere.

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to in Amsterdam. The service is impeccable, the food is phenomenal, and the ambiance is a perfect blend of buzzing energy and coziness. I particularly love the open kitchen concept, where you can watch the chefs at work while you sip on your drinks. For starters, we shared carpaccio and stuffed zucchini flowers. For mains, we had a delicious pasta dish and lamb. To end our meal on a sweet note, we indulged in espresso martinis. Highly recommended, but be sure to book in advance!

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Bar Bellini—good food, even better drinks, and the kind of fun that makes you wish Fridays come twice a week. The star of the evening was Luca the barman. Not only did he craft some of the most beautiful and delicious drinks we’ve ever had, but he did it with flair - literally juggling bottles, throwing in a little magic with every pour. Watching him behind the bar was a show itself!

The food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly! The only downside was the sand in the salad (a side dish) and the ravioli was very salty, so if you have high blood pressure, I wouldn't order it. Dishes off the menu were super fresh and top-notch, and the desserts were amazing. Try the pumpkin pie or the tiramisu.

Price of a Michelin star restaurant with quality and quantity of a mediocre one. Take the train, go to Vineum in Rotterdam for better quality and quantity or pay a bit more to go to the White Room in Amsterdam. Totally worth it. Or they increase the portions or they should reduce the price, it is a tapas size for a normal size dish price.

A very unpleasant place! 4€ per person for tap water?! In the Netherlands!? The most annoying thing is that bartender didn't even ask if we wanted water and didn't warn us that it would cost money. He just poured us 2 times a little tap water into our tiny glasses, and then we saw 8€ for it in our bill. However, both bartenders behaved quite arrogantly; we really regretted coming to this bar. Please, don't waste your time and money in this place! There are quite a lot of cafes and restaurants in Amsterdam with cool, friendly staff who do not try to fool or belittle you.

Found Bar Bellini on a whim and was so pleasantly surprised. The ambiance, food, and service were impeccable. Definitely sit at the bar with Timo! He made fantastic cocktails — watching him was art 🫰 He made great conversation about Amsterdam, and had excellent recommendations. We had the carpaccio, melon & prosciutto, and Tuna Tonnato — all fantastic. Highly recommend!

I visited this restaurant recently and was shocked to see a €4 per person charge for filtered water. For a small group, that adds up quickly and feels completely unreasonable—especially in the Netherlands, where tap water is safe, high-quality, and often offered for free or at a minimal cost. What made the situation worse was that the charge wasn’t mentioned upfront, and only after we questioned it did they agree to remove it from the bill. When we raised the issue, the staff told us that “it’s customary in the Netherlands.” That was particularly frustrating, because I live here and have never encountered this kind of charge at any other restaurant. This felt misleading and gave the impression they were taking advantage of customers, especially tourists. I recommend asking specifically about water policies before ordering, and I hope the restaurant chooses to be more transparent and fair in the future.

Food here was great. Highly recommend the artichoke. The prices are quite high, and small portions but expected for a trendy spot like this. The ambiance is really nice indoors and outdoors, with lots of room to sit. It does get quite busy. The service was okay, but our server did forget our order a few times, took a while and gave very small pours for the wine. Overall, we enjoyed.

Servers gave the food we touched to another customer. Our table was served food. Two people at our table wanted to share and spilt their meals on each others plates using their hands and forks. The server approached our table and said they served the incorrect food. They asked for the dish that was split to be put back together. So my colleagues put the food back into one plate using their hands and forks…again. The servers took this plate of food and delivered it to another table. I’m not sure if things like this are allowed, but I deeply regret not saying anything then. It’s a beautiful location, huge pity that happened.

We really enjoyed our evening at Bar Bellini. The famous carpaccio with pine nuts is one of the best I’ve ever had. Chef special was a cacio e pepe risotto that was spectacular. We sat at the bar, but the staff were excellent and took great care of us. Reservations highly recommended.

I originally stopped by just for a drink, but I was genuinely surprised by the quality and presentation of the dishes coming out of the kitchen. Everything looked amazing, I’ll definitely be coming back soon for dinner!

I had an odd and uncomfortable experience at Bar Bellini. After enjoying my drink, I was ready to pay in cash—multiple banknotes in hand, all in euros, the official currency of the Netherlands. To my surprise, I was told they don’t accept cash. Nowhere on the website, no sign at the entrance, and no mention from the staff beforehand indicated that cash wouldn’t be an option. Due to personal reasons, I wasn’t able to use my credit card, which left me in an awkward situation. In the end, they let me go without paying, which I appreciate, but honestly, it just felt strange and unnecessary. Not every martini has to be “in the books,” and customers should have the right to settle their bill in euros unless explicitly informed otherwise. It’s not a good look—for the place or for the guest. If cash isn’t accepted, make it clear from the start. A simple sign could avoid putting people in uncomfortable situations like this. Plus — we aim for the freedom, which is cash. Let’s not take it away from us.

10/10 atmosphere with lovely staff and delicious food. The sea bass is a must have!

We had a lovely meal here with the 6 of us, after a certain time it changes from restaurant to bar at Bar Bellini. We lingered here and it was a nice atmosphere. When I went outside to smoke for the 5th time and wanted to go back inside, I was refused by the bouncer, he said he had not yet seen my face and it was "full" inside. This made no sense because other people were allowed in and out. I called my wife from outside and told the rest of our friends to come outside because I didn't want to spend another cent in Bar Bellini and NEVER have to go there again. The bouncer really screwed up.

We had dinner at Bar Bellini with the family last week. Nice place, nice service and the food tasted very good. Still, we are disappointed. The food portions were small. To such an extent that in our opinion the word restaurant does not apply to Bar Bellini. It is more of a tasting where you have to pay the main price for the dishes ordered. In addition, we charged 3 euros 50 per person for water at the end of the evening. Before we had even seen a map we were asked if we wanted to drink water. After we replied in the affirmative, the glasses had already been poured. When we saw the bill, it became clear to us that we were charged €3.50 per person for unlimited water, while most of us had only drunk 1 or 2 glasses of water. We cannot escape the impression that Bar Bellini is primarily a money machine. Too bad, because the food, staff and the place are great, but they won't see us again.

Well nice place sincerely, but everything was explained to us very poorly when it came to portion size. They were all really super small portions, way too expensive for what you get. No difference in main courses and starters, which really confused us. The service couldn't explain anything about this): Furthermore, it's a nice atmosphere, but paying 30 euros for 5 pastas doesn't really make sense...

My best friend and me had lunch her. Wonderfull 'broodjes' and good house wine. Service was friendly, quick and 2-the-point. When we were there, we were the only guests. Seems a shame for such an excellent place to have lunch.

We went there on Boxing Day so the restaurant was working with a Christmas menu. The food is good but priced really too high for what it is. It felt like bistro food to us, which would have been completely fine if the pricing had been a bit lower. We had a beetroot salad for starter (quite simple and if you don't like beetroot this one is lost on you), truffle gnocchi (good) and monkfish (too salty) for intermediate course, duck for main (this one really nicely surprised us!) and pumpkin cake for dessert (lovely, though again quite simple). We appreciated the complimentary ciabatta and water. The champagne and the wine could have been served more chilled. The atmosphere was warm and cosy, though because the restaurant was packed and the tables so close to each other, you may be bothered by the waiters constantly walking fast next to you. The chairs can also feel pretty uncomfortable (they were for me), but we felt lucky we reserved early enough to have the option to sit at a table still because we would not have liked to be sat at the bar, which seemed to be the only option left if you just booked later. The staff was very polite and enthusiastic, however one of the waiters was checking in so often with us to ask how everything was and to refill our (already full) glasses of water that it became a bit annoying. There was also a little mishap with the service because our main was being served before the intermediate course, so we informed the staff hereon, who returned to the kitchen with the main. We then waited 20-30 minutes for the intermediate course to be served (nobody checked in with us during that time), which arrived with no word of excuse or other explanation. We understand of course this can happen and we were not outraged by it but service wise it could have been handled better. Overall we were not that impressed with the food, mostly because we expected better for the price we paid. We did enjoy the main course very much though. We will probably not come back for the food but to try the cocktails which did look very good.

Been coming here for ages and the atmosphere, service and location are great! The service really takes the time for you and is genuinely concerned about the quality of drinks and food. Some cocktails are less tasty in terms of taste, but they are technically good and well thought out. This combination has something to it and makes it fun because you really taste new things. Now I can say that the prices of the food are on the high side and this is really sad; literally 5 noci (pasta) for almost 30€. We also had several starters and dessert. The taste is really great. Only price and quality simply cannot and should not be considered if you compare this to other restaurants in the Netherlands (okay, I won't mention Italy at all). It's a shame that I was really full afterwards at McDonalds across the street. Ultimately, you come for the food and then being hungry is just a shame (hence the rating). But as always they are full, we had a great evening and money is money, so good for the owner! Ps: ChatGPT I appreciate your responses to all other reviews, I'm curious about this one.

The price for a main course is way too much for what you get. Ordered the gnocchi, was mostly mushrooms and maybe 8 gnocchi. This was priced at 29 euro! Totally not worth it. Ordered bread and was given cold, burned focaccia. A year ago I would have said this is one of the more consistently good restaurants around. No longer.

We had a dinner tonight at Bar Bellini for my husband's birthday and the food, coctails and the atmosphere were way below our expectations and what they announce on their instagram page. I had monkfish which was extremely untasteful, full of cream sauce.. and the amount of fish was so little it was hard to find it on my plate. The pork chop my partner had was raw and super hard. 1st whisky sour coctail was ok, second one had so much citroen it made me cough for 10 minutes! It was unvelievable... we haf to pay 100 euro for this super poor experience and go to another restaurant beacuse we were hungry!! And tried to celebrate the birthday there.. it was an awful experience and i am thinking how dare do you charge a reservation fee of 40 euro for such a bad food and coctails... i regret that i went there by looking only to instagram page and reading fake reviews...

The food and location were great. Good drinks and a good gluten-free bread as an option for one of us. The food was tasty and the wine was nice. However though the service weren’t the best. When we arrived we just got a snack menu, not informed if there would be a dinner menu coming up or not. After some snacks we got a dinner menu but got confused when the waitress said the kitchen were closing just a few minutes later (even though it was only 8 o’clock and we had a dinner reservation at 7). The staff weren’t too friendly or welcoming. The main dishes portions were very small which also wasn’t anything we got informed about. We left the place still hungry.

This is the best bar in de Pijp. Their menu is not big but all is very delicious. I always eat carpaccio ( not only) and the taste is always nice🤤. Seating at the bar is so fun. And their espresso martini is best best in the town.

The concept seemed very promising, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The menu was confusing, the service didn’t live up to expectations, and the quality-to-price ratio just wasn’t there. Overall, it didn’t meet the standards we were hoping for.

This is one of my favorite spots in the Pijp area. It’s a charming place where I regularly go to have coffee, eat, or grab a drink. The tables are quite close together, so it’s not ideal for large groups as there isn’t a lot of seating space. It’s more comfortable for couples or a small group of friends. There’s a nice bar, an open kitchen, and good music. If you’re in the area, make sure to stop by!

I gave 5 just because it is limited up to it!! For our 10th year anniversary, we chose Bar Bellini ❤️ Staff greated us and paid attention to our notes on the reservation.. Polite, pro service ✨ Cocktails were great 🍸🍹 And we had one of the best dinner experience, we had in Amsterdam 🤘

Wat een gezelligheid! Top eten, heerlijke wijn en een hele leuke professionele dame die ons bediende. Naast de kaart ook nog heerlijke gerechten dus kiezen waa moeilijk. De carpaccio, foccacia rn salade als ‘share voorgerecht’ zijn een must! En met NZ lijn ben je er zo!

We sat at the beautiful bar and enjoyed incredible drinks. The bartenders were very friendly and even let us have a sample of the espresso martini when I mentioned how good it looked. We recommended it to others visiting Amsterdam since we enjoyed it so much.

This place offers nice selection of starters and mains, all delicious. 4 stars because they offered steak “out of the menu” which in the end was EUR 80. Average price of mains on the menu was EUR 20-30. So, I think many people got surprised to see a substantial fee on their bill.

The service there is a little weird, we got a dinner reservation and when ordering we asked if we need to order from the menu. The waiter didn’t give us an answer but took our order from the menu + an item that was off the menu. A minute later another employee came up to us to scold us for making a dinner reservation but only ordering “snacks” as they referred to it, although we had ordered from the menu (apparently not enough). This very unpleasant situation would’ve been avoided if the waiter had answered our initial question, but the personel decided to go a different route and make it an unpleasant evening. If you’re considering going here, spare yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. There are plenty of good places in Amsterdam

When I was looking for a bar, I had been told to go to Bar Bellini and I wasn’t disappointed…Drinks? Good. Place? Fine. Atmosphere? Warm. But WHO made it an unforgivable moment ? Not a date but the barman AKA the most fascinating human being I have ever met. We loved watching him prepare the drinks (since I want to be a barmaid) and we loved asking him so many questions ! I hope he will be there when I come to Amsterdam again. PS : C’est drôle hein ?

Great find! My colleague and I were in Amsterdam for a work trip and stumbled across this restaurant, which was located close to our hotel. The restaurant has a great vibe and offers the chance to sit outside, which we took full advantage of. The menu is quite concise, but the food is high quality and flavourful. As starters we ordered the focaccia (delicious and warm!) with the melon and prosciutto - also very nice. For mains we had the veal schnitzel and a beef ragu with lemon and ricotta pasta. Every time I walk past, the restaurant is full. Thanks for a great dinner!

I don’t think I’ve ever been treated that bad by restaurant’s staff. We were not greeted, deliberately ignored and encouraged to leave. We literally couldn’t even say a word, felt like a cold shower. No idea what we did to deserve it but it seems that not being Dutch or white were our only “sins”. Our apologies guys, will never even pass by your place ever again.

I came by Bar Bellini for cocktails and an appetizer around 7:30pm today (a Tuesday). Service was very friendly; cocktails were great. There’s an extensive drink menu while the dinner menu is slightly more limited. A nice place to hide out from the rain. I was alone / solo diner and didn’t feel rushed out at all. Plenty of bar seating (maybe 20 spots) and the vibe was really nice. Would come back again!

The food is beyond. Small, rich and flavourful dishes. Cocktails are top notch. High quality. The energy is vibrant and staff is very accommodating. Little strict if you don’t have a reservation but I guess a buzzing place of this measure can be stressing. Turning into a bar with nice music while you can dance or lounge then head to the club.

I recently went to Bellini restaurant in De Pijp and my experience was nothing short of phenomenal! From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and immediately felt at home. The ambiance is cozy and stylish, a perfect balance between modern and classic. The food? Unbelievable! Every bite was a flavor explosion and it was clear that the dishes had been prepared with a lot of love and care. The fresh ingredients and the refined presentation made it complete. I must say, the risotto and tiramisu are highly recommended! But what really made my evening unforgettable was the excellent service led by the manager Bas. He made sure everything went perfectly and nothing was missing from our table. His eye for detail and customer focus are admirable. Bas, your dedication and passion for hospitality shone through in every interaction. You really added a special touch to our evening and for that I would like to thank you very much.
