Delicious menu for lunch, top wines, good service. The young but very talented chef Corné cooks really well: pure, creative and surprising. His hospitality, attention to detail and passion for the profession are clearly visible and can be tasted in every dish. Worth repeating!!

Surprise 4-course menu, some original flavors but there was so much noise in the room (meals for 12 overheated males) that we couldn't even hear the descriptions of the dishes!!! Rather fast service...but we offer to take your clothes when you arrive and when you leave...no one takes care of you and you are forced to rummage through dozens of clothes to find yours.. Special mention for the 6 euro bottle of water in the name of the restaurant but certainly from the tap!! In short, this noise ruined the evening and the meal for us!!

Nice restaurant, good food. We got a surprise menu with 4 dishes and a few extra snacks. To be honest, I was expecting something more for the price but the experience was still nice.

I expected more. The menu is a surprise so you do not know what they are going to serve you, obviously. Was it bad? No Was it delicious? No The flavours have not convinced me. 2 hours and a quarter for 5 courses, the wait between courses has seemed eternal. The waiter was very friendly.

Here you do not have the à la carte choice but a choice of 3,4 or 5 courses (the latter chosen by us) Wonderfully delicious cuisine! High research of products and taste! Balanced and with an extra twist! Each dish as a whole released an explosion of flavours. Highly recommended! Until our next vacation!

Nice service and good wine, though I wasn’t offered any water which was unfortunate. The food was mixed as well, with a fairly tasteless fish appetizer. The lamb main was cooked perfectly, but came with a yoghurt and pea hummus that were tasty individually but severely diminished the whole. Generally expected better for 43EUR.

This is the best restaurant we have ever been to. Food was exceptional and the staff were lovely. The wine pairing was spot on and we thought the price was fair (especially compared to restaurants in Australia). I cannot understand people who leave bad reviews because they don’t like certain foods or expect staff to polish their shoes. If you are fussy and don’t like certain foods, then it’s your responsibility to notify staff or avoid chefs menus. Any “fancy” restaurant in France are double the price and half as good. This place is a gem!

Please note: dont pay the deposit, they're empty anyway Please avoid this place, clearly not the same it used to be, takes too long to bring u average food, with clearly very unprofessional staff The extremely inattentive server made no effort to acknowledge this and just said there was nothing she could do, I feel disgusted and now ive fallen sick due to this. It took forever to get the servers attention in the first place, because they'd be in the kitchen just chatting instead. will be sending a legal notice when I am back in my country, horrible experiences I hope some authority can make notice of this

It was indeed a delightful last supper for me and my husband. To culminate our trip in Europe, we went to fine dining restaurant and this is it! The restaurant features a great ambience overall in a two story building with an alfresco area. Surprisingly, a detailed menu is kept as a secret until you each dish is served on your table. What a suspense! And the food presentation is astonishingly beautiful, not to mention, the refined style of meaty flavor from baby lamb and some fish. The staff was kind enough to explain how the food was created and cooked in what ingredients. Everything was on point and the taste was divine. Had it been with a wee bit well-decorated interior, I would’ve enjoyed even better. Delectable.

Got a recommendation to go there. Absolutely happy. They serve "surprise" menues of 3,4,5 courses. They ask for your allergies though. Each course was nicely done and the taste was extremely well balanced and innovative. Decent wines that you can have by the glass per each course. Would absolutely go there again!! BTW: They have a few tables to sit outside (roadside, as usual in Amsterdam)

As a treat on vacation, we did the 5 course menu with wine paring. It was so tasty, and the wines were a great compliment to the food. Portions are decent. The service was lovely. If anything, there was so much wine I was a little tipsy by the 4th course! It’s on the pricier side, but worth it for a nice occasion

They don't tell you what food they have before you order. For main course they have Only lamb or potato. I don't eat lamb and I don't like potato. They weren't able to prepare any fish or risoto or pasta. I had to go to another place because I'm hugry after paying over 100 euro.

Creative and unique combination of food ingredients. You cannot really choose menu but also all the dishes are nice anyway. Nice wine and bread. Lekker!

Haven’t been back in awhile, food is still very solid, just simple tasty food. Got lucky wasn’t too busy that night (guess everyone is watching euro cup) so it wasn’t too loud in there. Good price for course meal in the city!

Not sure if it was because we were young American women or something else, but the waiter seemed to dislike us. We noticed that he was super attentive and talkative with the other guests, but he simply recited our dishes and swiftly walked away. The timing between courses was too long, we were there for over 3.5 hours. Additionally, our waiter flung the receipt on our table at the end of our meal. Delicious food, but could not make up for the rude service. Super disappointed as we had been looking forward to this dinner most on our trip.

Wonderful restaurant in an intimate setting. Menu is only a choice of 3, 4, or 5 course tasting menu, as it rotates to whatever fresh seasonal ingredients are on hand. Everything tasted like it was done with care. Service was friendly and attentive. Only minor issue was perhaps on the timing of the meal. Not sure if our 4 course meal should take 3 hours. The wait between courses was a little longer than we'd like, but overall did not mind spending time in a nice atmosphere enjoying the food and drink.

Ok food, but still has a way to go to be Michelin recommended again.

A very idyllic little restaurant. We have felt very comfortable here. We ordered the 5 course menu and drank wine with it. Each dish was convincing in its own way. Unfortunately, 1 course didn't quite suit my taste, but I didn't find that bad at all. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit because you can eat something here that you would probably never order. A reservation would be an advantage.

Had a great night here with the four course menu and wine pairing. I really think the price is good for Amsterdam and a chefs menu like this. All of the courses were delish especially the filet main, staff were friendly and attentive.

Huge expensive disappointment Secret.menu that should have been advised up front

Typical for Amsterdam, but that should not mean it should be acceptable. Extremely slow 4 course service, inattentive and unwelcoming staff.

The 3 of us were seated at a 2-person table. We are tall, and my mother is in her 70's. We aren't complainers, but we simply didn't have room for our legs (and barely enough room for our dishes), and our knees were hurting by the time we left. The most basic expectation for any restaurant is that the guests should be able to sit comfortably. This policy shows very plainly Klein Breda cares more about profit than the comfort of guests. If they told us ahead of time that we would be seated in such a way, we would have booked somewhere else. Instead they put us in a position where we have a choice to sit uncomfortably or go home. We won't be returning. If you're considering going there for a party of 3, make sure to reserve for a party of 4.

You can choose a surprise menu of 3, 5 or 7 courses. We took a vegetarian menu and an omnivore menu. The second was definitely better than the first, but overall the dishes were interesting and well executed. Quality products and original combinations. The staff is very kind. Overall we had a great evening and recommend it!

Unfortunately, our expectations were not met. The service was slow, partly because it was too busy. It also was far too cramped with seating for my liking. One course was lukewarm (the veal). We also ordered a bottle of water - it never arrived. What a pity.

Fabulous! Went for the Theatre menu as we were going to see a play. Can't recall when everything that was served in front of us was just wonderful. Somehow every dish was a surprise that we didn't know we needed. Service and presentation of the dishes and wine was meticulously done by Federico. His presentation with a sprinkle of passion and humour was just perfect. Next time we are coming back for the 5 course menu and will sit after it on the bar to have great conversations with Federico and the wonderful magicians in the open kitchen, while drinking wine and eating perfectly steamed oysters.

Even though we very sweetly received 2 glasses of champagne because our booked bar spot was not available (which was a bit strange - because she didn't believe me until I showed my booking on my phone, and they had moved things among the staff themselves). ), we weren't really fans in general. There was 1 very nice server, but the other server (wearing sunglasses?) was not necessarily very welcoming and pleasant/super nice, they asked if we had allergies but not if we wanted meat/fish/vegetarian (?). The food was really tasty, but for a restaurant from the Breda group you expect a little more, especially in terms of service and the feeling that you are really having a night out. This could also have been an evening at a simple cafe in terms of service, except for the great food of course.

Great restaurant. We took the 4 course menu but for sure recommend to take the 5 course because each course turned out amazing. The kitchen takes into account any allergies and can adapt the menu which was great! Also the staff is very welcoming and helpful with some very nice ideas to visit when we come back to Amsterdam. Will definitely visit this establishment again and can recommend 100%!

Unbelievable experience! The food was nothing like we tasted before. The buckwheat ice cream with dessert was genius!

The service at Klein BREDA on a Friday night was incredibly poor. We waited for approximately 45 minutes to be served a bottle of wine we ordered. Plenty of confusion as to whether they had the wine or where it was during the wait. Eventually when it was found, we were still made to wait for other tables to receive drinks first. The waiter for our table was in training and a nice guy, but out of his depth for the dinner service. The food was also disappointing for the price. We chose the 5 course menu and not one of the dishes were particularly great. A modern tasting menu that was mostly bland and missed the target. I certainly wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone in Amsterdam, and if I re-visit I will choose somewhere else. A real shame considering the price and the expectations based on previous reviews.

Great food and service. We were a very big group and food took a bit long but the staff did a fantastic job with us. It was quite small and fine dining but very tasty and flavourful.

Embarassing night for the waiters. Surrounding tables were similarly shocked. Food was okay but predictable from the modern kitchen.

Op oudejaarsavond hadden we een verrassingsmenu voor €75,-. Sowieso heel fijn dat dit restaurant, als een van de weinige restaurants, open was. De sfeer was gezellig, erg aardig personeel. We hebben wel even moeten wachten op ons eerste gerechtje, maar daarna kwam het in een prima tempo door. Het eten was erg lekker! Bijzondere gerechtjes, met kwalitatief goede producten. Bij het menu hadden we een heerlijke fles pinot noir, die goed matchte met het eten.

What a pleasant surprise! We had no lunch reservation. Too often food is unnecessarily complex and not cooked to perfection. Not here. It was a delicious menu with mashed potatoes to die for. The service was impeccable (one guy from Sardinia serving the entire floor in the most responsive and graceful manner). So thank you again for this highlight.

We had Christmas dinner at klein Breda, the food was ok. The first dish (onions in several forms) it wasn’t that good, very acidic with no balance, needed something crunchy and the two dishes (mine and my husband’s) were different cooked:/ the rest of the dishes were tasty , small portions but that’s ok for a menu of 5 dishes. The desserts were delicious, to be honest the desserts were better than the other dishes. As for the service all the guys we quite cute but unfortunately their system was a mess! Extreme delays between the dishes - at some point we thought to leave before the end of our dinner! That kind of delay sacking the life out of you, we had to ask twice for our drinks , both of the times, everyone was serving everybody, even the barman brought us a dish at some point and that caused confusion to us as for the dishes, I loved the dessert and still don’t know what it was. For sure you need to focus more on your system, maybe it was the kitchen’s fault but if it was like that with a standard menu I can’t imagine how it would be with different orders.

We arrive 5 minutes before our time slot, but then waited more than half an hour to be seated. Fortunatly, the woman behind the bar was really nice, and offered two glasses of cava. It was not really the case of the man who seated us, not mean but not really nice either even with the wait. In the end, a 3 courses meal took 2h45, the filtered tap water was 5€/bottle (not Evian bottle of glass, tap water) and 4€ for 4 really small piece of bread. Like 1 piece was not even half a slice. Also, every tables are set against each other, not really nice atmosphere. In conclusion : the food was good BUT the waiting was really long before and througout the dinner, the price was clearly too high for the service, and the place is crowded.

We came for the surprise tasting menu and, thankfully, have an adventurous palette. Squid, beets, sweetbreads, veal cheek and pumpkin ice cream might not meet with everyone's tastes or texture sensitivities. We noticed a table for 20 when we arrived and were worried that we would be forgotten once this table arrived. Well, our worries were confirmed as staff lost track of us for a good 45min mid-service.

The first impression you’ll get when coming inside is the open kitchen. Nothing that would separate the kitchen from the rest. That gives a sense of oneness I haven’t seen a lot before. Very nice! The ambience is classy and someone knew what to do to not let it look over the top. You’ll just like to spend time here! What I would also highly recommend is the accompanying wine with the menu. You’ll be offered marvellous wines from France, Germany and Italy to only name a few. Service is very accommodating and attentive even though there was only one person caring about all guests. It was a wonderful experience. Thanks for a nice evening!

Klein lief restaurantje dat zichzelf enigszins overschat

Fantastic food, however, the service was terrible unfortunately. We arrived at our table at 6:30 and was told that dinner slot was shorter than usual (we were unaware) we were then told we can’t order more than 4 courses as there wasn’t enough time and similarly with ordering the cheese or dessert courses at the end. It felt very unprofessional to just tell us we can’t have the multi course dinning experience that you advertise. Secondly, at the end we were asked to go downstairs to where the toilets are to get our own coats. It felt very unwelcoming and the staff were cold.

First time in Amsterdam and we decided to celebrate my husband birthday at Klein Breda. Omg we had an awesome experience. Kiara was super attentive with us and the food was exceptional. If we ever decide to come back to Amsterdam we surely be back to Klein Breda✅

Ich weiß gar nicht wo ich anfangen soll. Ich war schon in vielen Restaurants, auch gehobenen und dies war wohl einer der besten Restaurant besuche jemals. Jeder Gang war ein Kulinarisches Feuerwerk für den Gaumen und hat einfach Spaß gemacht zu essen. Aber gehen wir auf alles nacheinander ein: Ambiente: Das Ambiente ist unglaublich schön und Cozy. Es kommt fast schon ein Familiäres Gefühl in dem Restaurant auf. Es ist unglaublich schön dekoriert und man fühlt sich unglaublich wohl. Service: Der Service lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Kellner sind unglaublich Freundlich und bemüht und erklären jeden Gang einzeln und gehen auf sämtliche Fragen ein. Lediglich im Bezug auf den Wein wäre eine genauere Erklärung, welcher Wein am besten zu den Gängen passen würde schön. Essen: Das Essen ist der Wahnsinn. Jeder Gang war eine Freude zu essen und perfekt abgestimmt. Jeder Gang verfügte über ein perfektes Spiel zwischen sauer, süß und salzig und zerging auf der Zunge. Für den Preis den man für 5 Gänge zahlt bekommt man zwar nicht in jedem Gang "high Ende zutaten", eher wird aus simplen Zutaten wie z.B Petersilienwurzel oder Tapioka ein Meisterwerk gezaubert. Erwähnt sei, dass wir bei den 5 Gängen 7 hatten, da zu den 5 Haupt, 2 Nachspeisen kommen. Der Koch weiß was er tut und das merkt man an jedem Bissen. Am Besten würde das essen "Perfektion der Einfachheit" beschreiben. Auch die Selektion der Weine ist Perfekt und eine Besondere Empfehlung gibt es für den Französischen Sauvignon aus der Weinkarte, der mir besonders gemundet hat. Alles in allem kann ich mich für den Abend nur Bedanken und sagen, dass dieses Restaurant mich auf jeden Fall nochmal sehen wird!

The finest meal we have ever eaten in Amsterdam. Cuisine delivered with passion with absolute attention to detail. The menu was challenging whilst also being comforting and surprising. The fish course was without question the most satisfying piece of haddock I have ever had the pleasure to taste. The duck confit was a true slice of heaven. The setting is very intimate and the service was incredibly sprightly and satisfyingly informal. Wine pairings with precision are available from both the finest and the more humble producers of the world. All the best parts of a Michelin experience without the unnecessary ceremony or inflated cost. A truly extraordinary experience from start to finish. Bravo, you should all be very proud of yourselves (I'm sure you are already).

Wonderful little place just off Rembrandt Square in the heart of Amsterdam, serving seasonal dishes in 3, 4 or 5 course menu. There's no menu so you're in the chef's hands. We got the 4 course and added some cheese dishes towards the end. Our party was mostly pescatarian and vegetarian and they accomodated perfectly. The food was amazing! Seasonal, delicate, delicious. Elegant without being super pretentious. Slapped with flavor. And the wine, oh my goodness, the wine. The Chateauneuf du Pape took us to the moon and back. Would highly recommend this place for a special meal in Amsterdam! Congrats Klein Breda team.

Wat een verassing! Fantastisch gegeten, hele vriendelijke bediening. Omdat wij beperkte tijd hadden, hebben wij gekozen voor het drie gangen menu. Echt heerlijk gegeten. Complimenten, wij komen zeker terug. Aanrader!

The Italian waiter from Sicily seemed agitated from the start (we did arrived 15 minutes late and apologized) and made us uncomfortable throughout our entire stay (1 hour and 45 minutes). I respect they work with time slots, but it’s not very appropriate if you get instructed to order 3 courses and have to be gone on time for the next guests. If you spend this kind of money and order a couple of bottles of wine, you do expect at least a friendly waiter, but he didn’t smile once. There was another waitress helping out, she was fortunately very kind. The duck was tasty but little, the starter great and no one at the table enjoyed the dessert, pumpkin with mushroom / caramel was not a good combination. We received lots of bread and no side dishes or vegetables, maybe I had different expectations because of the pictures online. Towards the end we weren’t welcome to order cheese and got rushed out for the next guest, and again not in a polite way.

Uitstekend eten voor een prima prijs. Verrassingsmenu van 5 gangen coor 53 euro. Kwaliteit van de gerechten was top en er werd goed rekening gehouden met de wensen voor geen vlees of vis. Service was ietsje minder. Personeel deed zijn best, maar je kon merken dat ze met te weinig waren. Al met al een zeer leuke avond gehad.

What a wonderful experience it was to enjoy a five course lunch here. The atmosphere is cosy and the service was relaxed yet very competent and the food and wine was very delicious.

prima gegeten maar in deze prijsklasse mag je verwachten dat de bediening Nederlands spreekt. we hadden nu een slecht engels sprekende Italiaan. Bovendien werd het gebruikte bestek steeds terug gelegd naast je bord, zodat je het opnieuw kon gebruiken voor de volgende gang. Ook als die van vis naar vlees ging. prima in een eetcafé, maar niet hier met dit prijskaartje. Met de smoes van beter voor het environment. Als hoofd kregen we twee identieke stukken eend " brisk" (oh je bedoelt breast?) Volgens de ober een pootje en een stuk borst maar het was een identiek doorgeneden stuk borst. pre dessert van geitenyoghurt, witte chocola en granite was verrukkelijk!

Heerlijk gegeten! 4 gangen met echt super lekkere gerechten en een flesje Pouilly-Vinzellans. Beiden echt heerlijk. Voor de lunch zaten we zaterdagmiddag helemaal alleen, private dining
