We ended up here via Social Deal. We were warmly welcomed, and we rushed to order, everything at a relaxed pace so we could enjoy our evening. All the dishes we ate with 5 people were delicious, from starters to main courses. So, it is definitely recommended to eat there; we will certainly do so again.

The service was good; we were well received. For starters, I had mushrooms with aioli, a nice appetizer. I ordered bavette with grilled vegetables. The food was cold and you could count the vegetables on one hand. The fries didn't look appetizing either. For dessert, tiramisu was prepared right in front of you; which was nice in itself, but it consisted of ladyfingers soaked in cold coffee with whipped cream and cocoa on top. To be honest, it wasn't tasty. Despite that, we did have a nice evening.

We had a delicious meal. The Joseph Platter is highly recommended. Various meat dishes are available for 2 people or more. We will definitely be back.

The soup and the meat were perfect; what we missed was the presentation of the platter/board. The onion soup was delicious and well-filled. I had a plain Tournedos on my plate, nothing else; my wife had spare ribs on a wooden board with nothing else and a basket of fries to be shared in two. Dress up the plate/board with some vegetables, add the fries, and it already looks dressed up. As it is, a bare plate/board, that's not it... again, nothing wrong with the meat and soup, but the presentation, do something about that; it wasn't worth taking photos.

We ate here today and it was perfect. We were there with two small children, and when I briefly stepped away with the little one, the appetizer was due to arrive, but the waiter waited a moment so we could watch it being prepared at the table. It was very relaxed, and the food was superb.

We went here with a Social Deal offer. 3 courses for 29.50; a nice price. The food was very tasty. The drinks are very expensive though, so it ended up being a pricey evening after all. The speed could definitely be improved. We had to ask several times where our food was.

A huge disappointment, sat for over 3 hours for a 3-course menu. It took so long, I had to ask the waiter every time when it was coming. For dessert, I had to ask 3 times when it was coming and every time I was told it would be here soon. No, I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone, and the prices are so horribly high? A beer is 5.50 for a Radler. No, not going to this restaurant again.

We ate here on a Friday evening with three of us; we were warmly welcomed, and the staff were cheerful and friendly. The food arrived reasonably quickly and was very tasty. Do be careful with parking in front of the door; this is a so-called Zone A and quite pricey, so it is better to park the car a little further down the street or around the corner in the parking garage.

The service was very friendly. We had booked this time using a Social Deal voucher. There were a few minor points for improvement, though. The steak tartare prepared at the table was extremely sour due to far too much Worcestershire sauce. This should be a quarter teaspoon per portion, not a generous dollop. But that takes a bit of practice. The pork belly, on the other hand, was delicious. My small 200g tenderloin was not of the best quality. There was a significant fibrous streak running through the meat, and when it tears instead of cutting, you know the quality. It was well prepared, though. The enormous grilled sea bream, however, was fantastic. The cheesecake was also fine. It took a terribly long time between the starter and the main course, more than 30 minutes, even though it was absolutely not busy. Overall, it was still a pleasant experience, certainly due to the friendly service.

Great service! It was almost impossible for the staff to cope with this heat, so an extra thumbs up to them all! We had already been 2 weeks ago and enjoyed it very much again! We will definitely be back!

Overall, we had a fine evening. The sea bream was very tasty and well prepared. However, we had the last two portions, meaning six other guests were unable to order this dish. The tuna also turned out to be sold out before we could order. Since we eat fish and not meat, the choice was significantly limited as a result. Unfortunately, the dessert was less to our liking. The tiramisu was very watery, just like the photo. That was a shame, especially as a conclusion to the meal. I come here often and normally have good experiences. That is why I was looking forward to this Social Deal. Precisely because of that, this evening was somewhat disappointing. The fish was fine, but due to the limited availability of the fish dishes and the dessert, this experience left a less positive impression. I hope this was an exception.

We ate at this restaurant for the first time tonight with our family and would love to come back again! The staff is super friendly, the food is incredibly delicious and plentiful, and the ambiance is very cozy too! Since we were here for our 20th wedding anniversary, I had asked for a cozy spot, and that is exactly what we got. We enjoyed each other's company and the food in the atmospheric conservatory while other guests were watching the Netherlands vs. Sweden World Cup match inside. Dear people at Bar Bistro Josheph, thank you for this beautiful memory.

Very disappointing experience at Bar Bistro Joseph! It was supposed to be a pleasant dinner with family and friends from abroad, but the kitchen at this bistro turned it into an absolute disaster! The service was particularly poor: we had to wait a long time before anyone paid any attention to us at all, and the staff came across as uninterested and unfriendly. The food was a huge letdown. The quality was far below expectations; Bavette and Picanha dishes were raw, tasteless, and did not seem freshly prepared. When I asked if anything could be done about this, I was told that the kitchen closes at 9:15 PM and that nothing could be done. Scandalous! Additionally, the portions were very meager. Side dishes such as fries were served in quantities that were far too small, giving the impression that everything was being skimped on. Extras that were ordered separately also arrived at the table in very meager portions. That might be acceptable if the prices were reasonable, but you pay top dollar for precisely these small portions. All in all, the price-quality ratio is completely off. For the amounts charged here, you should expect much better food, larger portions, and much more professional service. Unfortunately, this visit was a major disappointment, and we will not be returning!

Hello, We dined at your restaurant yesterday via Social Deal… the welcome was warm and the service was very good at first. We ordered the two-person set menu for our starter and main course. The starter was very good and tasty, but then 3-4 things happened that we didn't find acceptable. The plates and cutlery we had used for the starter weren't cleared away, and we were expected to use them for the main course as well. Then things became a bit hectic, and the main course arrived very quickly. Before we had even finished our main course, we were handed the dessert menu and asked what we would like. We both chose the tiramisu because it said it would be prepared at the table. We had just finished our main course, the table hadn't been cleared yet, and the dessert was brought to us without being prepared at the table as stated on the menu! By then it was just after 9:30, and there was only one other table with guests in the restaurant. We got the impression that they were trying to close up shop quickly. The impression was reinforced when, while clearing away dessert, we were immediately asked if we wanted the bill! We no longer felt comfortable and paid (placing money on the table after receiving the bill) and went home with a half-full bottle of wine! It was 10:00 PM at that point! Very disappointing!

This was one of those dinners where everything was just right! The atmosphere, the service, the food. Truly top-notch. The food was delicious. I had the spicy tuna tacos, beef tenderloin tournedos, and a Dame Blanche for dessert. For every dish, I asked for advice on which wine paired well. They all worked! My wife had the carpaccio, spareribs, and the Dame Blanche as well. That was delicious too! In short: Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful meal yesterday, thanks in part to a very warm welcome and good service! We enjoyed the sharing dinner with 3 types of meat and 1 type of fish. Everything was of outstanding quality. Nicely presented with fresh vegetables. This is highly recommended. If I have to give feedback, I would say that the combination of lime aioli with crusty bread was not recommended, because I personally found the lime aioli too sweet. I did like it in combination with the fries, though. Thanks for the lovely evening!

It wasn't busy, but unfortunately, there was an annoying (drunk?) man at the end of the evening. My compliments to the waitress, who was very polite and helpful in resolving this. She's very attentive!

We came for dinner with a group of six. The food was okay, though pricey for what you get. We were supposed to get extra fries, but they never arrived. We requested a different table because we were cold backs. We were seated by the conservatory window, with it being -2 degrees outside and two people in their 70s. The restrooms were even warmer than our table. We couldn't find another table. After paying over €300, we walked past an empty table for six in a warmer spot. The so-called service was a big letdown. If you want service, don't go here.

Had a delicious meal for my daughter's birthday. It was a Sunday evening, so not everything was in stock, but there was still plenty of choice. The meat is excellent, but you pay for it, and they were absolutely happy to replace an overcooked tenderloin with a perfectly cooked one. The service was inconsistent; the lady had to get into the swing of things, but the team leader picked it up very well afterward, making it a fantastic evening.

It was very pleasant, and the staff was friendly. They made sure we were ready on time for the theater visit.

Poor quality steak. I asked for medium and initially received well done, sent it back, and then it was raw. There were tons of fruit flies, and I received a cup of tea with a fruit fly in it. After reviewing the review, Joseph called with an apology regarding staffing issues and offered a solution.

Unfortunately, it wasn't what it once was. The meat and fries were fine, but something was constantly being forgotten. Tea without a tea bag, forgetting that we wanted to order something, and ultimately, dessert was also forgotten. The supposedly "homemade tiramisu" that was supposed to be prepared at the table was simply placed on the table as if it had been ready for a while and had just come out of the fridge. Not a highlight. All in all, €400 that we could have spent much better elsewhere.

Deliciously set. Great service! We lost a ring, and they were so helpful in finding it. And the oysters were delicious! Highly recommended.

We had both positive and negative experiences during our visit. The food was delicious, but a bit pricey for what you actually received. My companion also ordered a different dish because, before we ordered, he'd heard that they couldn't offer live table preparation due to a "staff shortage." We didn't really have this experience, as the chef spent much of his time outside the kitchen instead of in it. Outside the kitchen, he was busy with the waiters, even though there were plenty of them. We also noticed that the female waiters were friendlier and more polite than the male ones. They had run out of a certain wine, and she kindly helped me, offered me an alternative, and let me try it.

I liked the food menu, so I had positive expectations. The place itself also has a nice atmosphere. However, I was disappointed with the quality this time. The tagliatelle with shrimp (only four, and still in their shells!) was underwhelming and rather bland — definitely not worth the price. The chicken satay was a better choice.

Went for dinner again after 3 years, the young lady who served us has one great smile, which is great for the catering industry, Starter was delicious, ioli campions, then beef tenderloin and spicy cheese fondue....just fantastic. The dessert could use an upgrade, cake with rum and ice cream was not special.

Great place, only the service at the table could be a little faster, we once went to the waiter to order because it took too long. Unfortunately, the Bastogne cheesecake only had a meager base, which was a disappointment. You can also eat well there and it is pleasant to sit.

The tournedos was expensive and it was really only meat and some chips, no vegetables or salad. The gravy was very fatty and did not have a truffle flavour as I ordered. Service was fine

Update 7-3-2025 Today we had a very nice meal in the second chance. Great service, pleasant atmosphere, didn't have to wait long. We were regularly (but not annoyingly often) asked if everything was to our liking, and asked in good time if we wanted something to drink. The spare ribs were excellent (highly recommended) and the smashed burger was also very tasty. Served with delicious fries with truffle/parmesan. Hence updated to four stars. 14-2-2025 The food was okay, but not for the prices charged. Service can be called mediocre. The atmosphere is fine, although right after we sat down the speaker above us suddenly went on quite loudly. We had to wait a very long time (and the table next to us even longer, by the way). Before we were even asked what we wanted to drink, half an hour had already passed. Then the drinks still had to come. The sandwich beforehand came a little faster, but then it took a very long time before we could order the main course. The service did not know whether the parmesan was made with pasteurized or raw milk. And after ordering, it took a very long time for the food to arrive. I ordered tournedos, well-done and it arrived medium, with hardly any gravy. After indicating that the tournedos was ordered well-done, he went back to the kitchen. After waiting for a while, I got it back with luckily more gravy. In the meantime, we had already been sitting for 2 hours before our main course arrived. Then we had to wait a long time again before we could order a dessert. The cheesecake was tasty and also a good size. Very expensive though. The affogato was tasty in itself, but really very little for 11 euros. And it was more coffee than ice cream. All in all, not very good service and okay food, but not for the price you pay for it. For reference, the two of us were in the restaurant at 6:30 pm and left at 9:15 pm for just two courses and a sandwich as a starter and we had to pay almost 100 euros.

Super nice staff, the table was beautifully laid out, the tournedos and the fries were perfect.

Previous experiences were better unfortunately. We had to wait an hour for the card and finally asked for it ourselves. Unfortunately the tuna was not there at all. Starters were fine. The sole had no taste and was fried too dry. That can happen, but when we pointed this out the response was: that's just how it tastes, it's just flour and salt and pepper. No alternative was subsequently offered or considered. Not even 1 cup of tea or coffee on the house so that you still have a satisfied customer. We were waved away like “whiners”. I won't be coming again anytime soon.
