Unfortunately, we had a less than pleasant experience. The starter was not tasty. The carpaccio was watery and lacked flavor. The salmon tartare was chopped smoked salmon, and the trout mousse contained many bones. The main course was 'loin' steak. This was fine. Some tendons here and there, but otherwise fine. Dessert was a tasty chocolate mousse and a Dame Blanche (cream ice cream instead of vanilla ice cream?). The service was poor. Upon arrival, we had to order all 3 dishes immediately; we were not given time to think about it. I sat for over 30 minutes with an empty glass in front of me, trying to get attention to order a drink. Other tables that arrived 45 minutes late received their food before us.

I came to celebrate my birthday with my family. After entering, we waited 20 minutes before anyone came to ask if we wanted anything to drink. Then we received our steak and fish (thanks a lot, with sauce) without fries or salad. When I asked if I could have another drink and where the fries were, the older lady ran off and shouted, "I'll do that after the fries and salad." She forgot again. The steak was completely overcooked, and the fries and salad finally arrived when we had all finished eating. The dessert was very tasty, though. By the way, I had complained, but this was not addressed. It was the same last time; it seems there is understaffing during peak hours. This was definitely the last time I ate at this restaurant, because it is really getting worse and worse.

Westerdorpsstraat 56The batter is tasty. The quality of the savory ingredients leaves something to be desired (bad chorizo). The staff is young, but professional. The children's cellar is in need of a renovation; there is virtually no toys available, and what there is is a bit dirty. The price-quality ratio is good.
