I loved the concept of this place. Food was good and I loved that you get both dishes in each course so if you get the 3 courses you get to try 6 dishes. Unfornately, the Saturday night that we went, there was no DJ so no dancing.

If you are planning to eat here with a large group, cancel immediately. I was shocked by the attitude of the staff present. We came to eat with a large group to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were late, which is naturally annoying. We apologized for this upon arrival. We also politely informed them by phone, by the way, but we were already being yelled at. Two staff members did their best, but the rest seemed to prefer lying in bed. Something to drink? That was a difficult question. No warm welcome, and you would be better off peeing in the bushes because the toilets were so filthy. After all, there is no toilet paper in the bushes either. The plates were slammed onto the table when we wanted to switch places for a moment; the irritation was clearly palpable. One upside: such a shared experience was actually bonding.

Ridiculously small portions; the portions were meant to be shared, but if you ate them by yourself, you would still go home hungry.

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Amsterdam. The table was on an uneven floor, so moving the chair slightly back felt like stepping off a pavement onto bare ground. One seat was squeezed next to a column and basically unusable. €40 per person (drinks excluded) for extremely small portions (everything to share): two pieces of conchiglie, followed by another pasta that arrived cold. The “appetizer” was just a leaf of lettuce and one asparagus. Completely unjustifiable. No clear idea behind the menu. Service was chaotic. At one point I helped the waitress by passing plates, and after clearing leftovers she handed me back a random dirty plate that wasn’t even mine. When I pointed it out, she seemed confused rather than apologetic. On top of that, the music was far too loud and the whole place felt disorganized, with no coordination or atmosphere. Easily my worst experience in Amsterdam

One of the worse places I have been in my life, food is a ripoff, and prices like if you were at Paris.

Absolute garbage food, completely obnoxious, they don’t even give enough of the rock dry bread they serve. Avoid this place at all costs. I’m actually amazed by how you can make food so bad. Pasta was undercooked, there was a pesto sauce that tasted like nothing like pesto it felt like you’re eating someone else’s leftovers.

I love this place, it’s great for parties and for dinners. Food is delicious, Truffle Pecorino cheese with jam is the best, you should definitely try it. The garden outside is nice and cozy. I like simple and old design of this place and that they didn’t change much. Multipla car add species to this atmosphere! Dance floor is not small what is good and there is amazing chill room on the second floor. Crowd is very Dutch, not really international or queer. I would definitely come back here many times.

Went for a bday, the place is not ready to operate as a restaurant. Servers are kind but understaffed, food drinks are slow, worst food we ever had. Literally ketchup pasta as main. Very disapointing, also very little portions and overpriced. Drinks were ok.

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had — and shockingly overpriced. We booked this restaurant for a friend’s birthday and paid €40 per person (drinks excluded) for a fixed menu that was completely inedible in our experience and laughably scarce. The total bill far exceeded the value of the food served. All plates were served to be shared, placed in the middle of the table without any serving utensils. Portions were minimal to the point of feeling insulting. Service was painfully slow and disorganized. The birthday was handled terribly. There was no cake at all. The only “birthday gesture” was a flame candle presented on its own, awkwardly stuck into crumpled aluminium foil balls. The rest of us were served a microscopic panna cotta — the only dish that wasn’t meant to be shared, which is understandable given it was the size of a €2 dessert — with an unidentifiable glaze. You couldn’t tell if it was caramel, coffee, or chocolate. Music started blasting while people were still eating, with others dancing around the tables. And once you finally finished, the staff cleared the table very quickly, making it feel like it was being taken away from under your arms. A terrible dinner, badly run, and wildly overpriced. Absolutely not worth the money.

In the dance hall, the lighting behind the DJ must now be lowered because this causes inconvenience to customers.

I never write reviews, but I had a blast here recently. Multipla is a true hidden gem in Amsterdam! Great music, tasty cocktails, friendly staff, and a good Italian menu. The atmosphere was relaxed and vibrant during dinner, and later in the evening, we even spontaneously danced a bit. Definitely a place to keep coming back to.

The Ta Toru & Friends dinner event at Multipla on April 5, 2025, was absolutely fantastic, a culinary highlight, a fusion of Surinamese and Moluccan dishes. The food was sublime, excellent value, and a true explosion of unique flavors, created by top chef Randy Mouricia and the Ta Toru guys. DJs River Dakota and Moqe were truly fantastic – their beats were top-notch! The service was super friendly, attentive, and welcoming. A fantastic brass band was a surprise. Plus, there was free parking on the weekend. All in all, we had a fantastic night out, definitely worth repeating. In fact, we're looking forward to the next Ta Toru & Friends event. We'll definitely be there again! Thanks!

Amazing night with my friends. Outstanding service, staff go the extra mile to make sure you have a nice evening. Food was great and ambiance even nicer. The options to flow from dinner to cocktails and great music made us stayed the whole evening. Absolutely 12/10

Amazing atmosphere, really pretty and inviting space. We were 5 people and chose the 3 course meal (which you are made to share everything) 40€pp we went for dinner and were hungry. The cocktail list was really long and the drinks were delicious and good prices. The food was also almost all delicious but unfortunately way too little. We received 2 small pieces of cauliflower for 5 people. The food also took quite a while to come out. Which was okay cause its definitely a place to have a slow dinner but we were still so hungry after starters that by the time the small pasta plates came out we devoured them. Even after dessert every person on the table was still really hungry and we later went to a bar for snacks. Even though the food tasted good and the place was lovely for having to spend minimum 50€ and leaving really hungry I would not say it was worth it. Which is unfortunate because one person had visited before a year prior and back then the portions were really good

I recently ate at Multipla for the first time, and it definitely wasn't my last! The building (a former garage) is really cool. The food and natural wines are excellent! After dinner, I had a few wines in the cocktail bar upstairs, and then danced the night away :)

The food wasn't particularly special; I wouldn't go back for it. The bar and "dancing" concept left much to the imagination, as we were asked to pay our bill at 12:00. They told us to go to Sissi's around the corner if we wanted to continue dancing. After a €850 bill and the website's opening hours of 3:00, I found this a rather odd request.

Delicious Italian food with a twist. Friendly people (both staff and guests). And after that, it becomes a club like a club should be. Only love.

I was there for De Reunie on Sunday. Intimate and fun night but what made it amazing was the best bathroom host ever: Natascha, she was not only a bathroom host, she was awareness, extra security and a motherly figure! Assertive but soft, she made us feel safe, seen and loved. Will definitely be coming back, specifically for Natascha.

Great food and atmosphere BUT abusive prices on wine, how do they dare to charge 70€ for an oranje wine that costs 18€?! They didn’t even serve it in the original wine bottle but served in a beer carafe instead. We even had to ask for ice cubes as it was warm. To be honest, we felt robbed, it’s not cool to abuse like this especially in a place with such good vibes. Hope they change this, would love to be back

Had a nice evening at Multipla yesterday. Tasty food, starters were delicious, pasta quite bland in taste. What they really need to do something about is the cold in the building. I felt the draft along my legs while eating and it was way too cold for a relaxed dinner. Hopefully they do something about that soon.

Two weeks ago I celebrated my birthday here and it was an amazing experience! We all had a delicious meal together, while various Italian dishes were put on the table to share. Everything was super tasty, but the lasagna with zuccini was my favorite, highly recommended! At half past twelve the tables were moved aside and I danced with my friends for the rest of the evening.

Very little food for what you pay and the size of the group you are with. Bad experience due to this. Quality of the food is also quite simple and expensive for what you pay.

This hidden gem offered a more intimate setting, ideal for escaping the hustle and bustle of the dance floor. Here I was able to enjoy carefully crafted cocktails and casual conversations. In short, Bar Dancing Multipla offers a versatile and unforgettable experience. It is the place for good food, good music and an attractive place to socialize. I will definitely come back here!

If you are foreign and want to be treated well, you should definitely not come here. I've never had a bad night. We went here as a group for a birthday to have a nice evening, but we had anything but fun. Arrive and are not helped for the first fifteen minutes. When a group of girls (not foreign) arrives, they are immediately helped and directed to their place. We then ask if we can be helped, but are told that our table, which we had already reserved at 8:30 PM, is not yet available. We were not offered a drink, but luckily we were offered a seat at the bar, which was already completely full. Then after waiting 45 minutes we are finally shown to our table. No explanation of the menu, but it is placed at the table without saying anything. We then went for a 2 course menu for which we had to wait a total of 45 minutes for the starter after indicating twice that we wanted a starter. Employees came by 0 times to ask if we wanted something to drink. But luckily after asking we got 1 bottle of water for 9 people without glasses. Fortunately, when we asked for the bill, they brought it quickly. Not normal. There was 1 blonde employee who was nice, but the rest could still learn a lot about guest friendliness. Don't go here, I would say again and again, there are 1000000 nicer places where you will be appreciated as a guest.

Food was alright, but service was disappointing. Just to name an example, we ordered a bottle of wine, the waitstaff came with the bottle in the bucket, dropped it on the table and left. She did not show us the label, did not open it, or say enjoy. Meanwhile I saw other tables trying their wine and getting introduced to the bottle. We also tried to get the bill for over 30 minutes, but they were ignoring us even if we made eye contact. I understand it could be a busy time, but a little acknowledgment would be appreciated. It was a disappointing experience as we went for a birthday dinner.

Went to multipla for the first time this ADE when they were hosting giegling. I have to say what a unique amd cool venue this is. Super retro vibe with multiple compartments that all have their own charmes. Super eclectic, staff is great, worth a visit!

Good atmosphere, nice how they were able to transform a garage into a "fancy" restaurant, and then turn everything back into a nightclub in the evening. It is a bit remote. The food is very tasty, unfortunately it is a bit little for what you pay for it.

We tried almost the whole menu, and there are some dishes that were especially amazing. For example, the pasta with ricotta, spinach and gorgonzola, was so tasty and good that I could eat an infinite amount of it. Also tagliatelle with ragu were a great main course with proper taste. As second course, the parmigiana is the best, as the aubergines and the other ingredients are prepared, cooked and combined for an amazing result. As dessert, I tried both the limoncello tiramisu and the strudel. Being Italian, I was sceptical about the limoncello tiramisu, but as soon as I tasted it, I had an epiphany: this is a genius idea and tastes so good. The strudel is also good but it's less innovative. Price-related, this place is a good deal: in 6 people we ordered 4 4-courses menus and a proportionate quantity of drinks, to end up paying around 40 euros each! For the vibe of the place, it's very nice as it gives the industrial vibe and at the same time is very researched and cool. If you are flexible with time, I would go not too late to avoid the increasing volume of the disco that starts around 22. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The only confusing part, was the new menu combinations, that as we understood were just introduced the day that we dined there. But after a bit of back and forth with the kitchen, the staff managed to solve it and we were greatly satisfied. A very nice experience! Well done!

After dinner, I stayed for drinks and enjoyed the lively music. The atmosphere was vibrant. If you're looking for a place with good food and a fun nightlife scene, Bar Dancing Multipla is a fantastic choice!

On April 5 we were at the door for a party. The porter reported that it was canceled and that we could get a refund via the central email address. Emailed 3 times, never received a response. €75 lighter in taxi rides and a night out wasted.

We arrived at Multipla at 20:40 for 2 of our friends birthdays. At 22:15 we still had no food on our table. The service was so bad that I can’t put it in to words! It took us over an hour to order, I literally had to stand up from my seat and go to a waiter and order at the bar because no one came to our table. The quality of the food was also very questionable especially considering the prices. When I told them that our ragu pasta’s didn’t come, they simply said that the kitchen was closed at 22:00 and there was nothing they could do even though we ordered it almost 3 hours ago and we literally had no food on our table at 22:00. Looking at the low quality of service the low quality of food and the bill we payed it doesn’t really make sense to come to Multipla for dinner again! Also the wine quality was hideous as well! Horrible wine for over 50 euros! Overall even though we were very excited to try out Multipla, I don’t think I’ll be going back for dinner!

See I think it's pretty chill here. I think some people roll in looking for a shirt off, 4am wild night in Amsterdam experience and this is more a solid plate of pasta, nice drink and cool music kind if place. I really appreciate the concept and re-use of original space. I'd say work a bit on timing in the kitchen and improve the wine list. Also you guys are great w serving pumpkin. Pumpkin dishes outstanding.

The staff was friendly to us, but otherwise our dinner at Multipla was quite a disappointment. - The location seems nice, but it was so cold. We didn't warm up. Our candlelight didn't even stay on because the trip was so extreme. - The food is not special, sometimes a case of 'I can make it better at home'. - The portion of pasta with pistachio for €17.50 was shockingly small. - Don't order those Parmesan balls. - A pub quiz was organized and this really spoiled the restaurant atmosphere.

Great venue mixing good food, nice cocktails and a club

Delicious food! We were lucky that the new menu had just been launched. We've tried everything. The pumpkin with goat cheese and the beet carpaccio were delicious as a starter, but the lasagna and pasta petto with pistachio were also excellent as a main course.

Great place for an evening out friends! Good food and very friendly staff. Dance part was also nice.

Disappointing! First of all, a starter had not arrived properly, then half an hour after we had ordered the main courses, it was stated that the chicken was no longer there. After waiting an hour for the main course, I asked where it was. When it wasn't there after 30 minutes, I asked again where it was. Then it turned out that the main courses had never been passed on to the kitchen! At half past 11 we finally got our food, one dish of which was not what we had ordered. It's possible to make a mistake, but this hit everything, never experienced it before.

My daughter took me to dinner here while visiting her office back before the holidays, was such a lovely experience.

Delicious and tasty food! Nice for large groups because you can order dishes small - medium - large. The Pollo in particular is really delicious! Marinated and steamed for 24 hours, with a finger-licking sauce. Perfect for a nice long dinner and then dancing.

Het eten was niet echt lekker.. Geen aanrader!

Ik zou niemand aanraden om deze plaats te bezoeken. 50 minuten op een fles wijn wachten, doodleuk horen dat de kelner ons vergeten was en de wijn die zijn prijs zeker niet waard was. Het eten was ongelofelijk zout en duur. Talloze fouten van de bediening. Eenmaal op de dansvloer besefte we ons snel dat dit niet aan onze verwachtingen voldeed. Zeer eentonige muziek in een soort bunker. Nee voor ons geen Multipla meer.

Heel fijn gegeten, alle gerechten goed op smaak en de bolognese is zo zo lekker! Verder is de carpaccio van tomaat een echte aanrader (ook voor de vega's). Genoten van lekkere wijnen en verrast door een limoncello van het huis bij het dessert (heerlijke tiramisu). Tijdens het diner kwamen er al lekkere platen (alleen maar vinyl) uit de speakers en na het eten konden we zo de dansvloer op waar heerlijk gedraaid werd. Dus samengevat: dikke aanrader!

Zojuist deze plek bezocht. Gezien de eerdere commentaren, waarschijnlijk van vrienden en bekenden, denk ik dat een eerlijke review nog mist. Zal allereerst de positieve dingen willen benoemen, die er ook zeker waren. Het personeel was echt super vriendelijk en wilde het echt naar je zin maken. Verder hebben we erg genoten van de bruschetta met burrata an tomaat (+ansjovis). De tiramisu was ook erg lekker. Echter valt er op vele vlakken nog flink wat te verbeteren. De limoncello Spritz was smakeloos (zat er überhaupt limoncello in?!), de arancini waren meer een soort smakeloze frituurballetjes, de pasta bolognese was smakeloos en droog, de wijnen waren bizar duur en het geld was het echt niet waard (de prosecco was oke, de witte wijnen ver ondermaats). We moesten bepaalde dingen ook 2 a 3x vragen voordat we het kregen. Verder was de dj die speelde in de zaal ernaast echt waardeloos. Continu een soort van breakbeat tracks waar echt niemand op kon bewegen. We hadden graag langer gebleven maar zijn uiteindelijk vroegtijdig huiswaarts gegaan.

Eten en bediening mwah dus zeer matig.. . Een half portie Burrata/ tomaat van slechte kwaliteit voor een heel portie verkopen a 16 euro … Proef ook je eigen Bruchetta even, het brood was niet knapperig maar knetter hard… Kip was oké! Bediening, bij inwerken hoort ook de wijnkaart kennen en weten wat een gerecht inhoud… Wel sfeer, locatie oké! Beter ga je dansen en een drankje doen.
