Small cozy bar, was here for a standup concert. It was OK

Cute place but bad experience. I came for a comedy show and was happy to also support a small place in Amsterdam Noord. First thing is they oversold tickets and the place was cramped and people who bought tickets had to stand the whole evening. Also the bar tender (owner?) cleared my table and removed my drink which wasn’t empty and when I told him he just said “sorry about that”, not very pro. Also within a minute of the comedy show ending, the bar tender comes to us and says we have to clear the back of the room for the next event. Let us breathe for a second after the show maybe ? Overall not a good experience and probably wouldn’t be back.

This is a truly wonderful place. The owner brightens things up with heart and soul. There's always room for a deep conversation, a spontaneous music session, or a little dance. A kind of conviviality you rarely find in the city these days. Fantastic.

We stopped by this place expecting to grab a beer and a small bite, but the experience left a lot to be desired. Although we were told they were open, it felt more like we had walked into someone’s living room than a functioning bar or restaurant. The owner was in the middle of having full-blown dinner, and despite acknowledging our presence, no one followed up with us for over 15 minutes. After waiting without any service or communication, we decided to leave. On the way out, I casually asked if it was always this quiet on Thursdays (especially odd since a stand-up event was scheduled that night). The response was indifferent and dismissive, with the owner saying they were "thinking about closing soon" without even looking away from their food. Honestly, that kind of attitude felt unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming. If a place isn’t ready to serve customers, it’s totally fine: just say so upfront. But ignoring guests and responding with condescension isn’t how any business should operate.

Greatest bar in Amsterdam. Music is valued here. Feels like home thanks to the legend owner and the bar cat Gustav.

This place has a neat vibe on the inside, even if it's a bit run down. We were here for drinks and had a good time, despite the slow service and a bit of unprofessionalism from the bar owner. The second time we tried to go, we went inside but were rudely told that they were closed (because they were eating dinner, seems like). Don't trust the hours listed on Google. Could be a good hangout bar, but the owner does what he pleases and it's a bit off-putting business wise. Gustav the Cat is a 5/5 though.

Awful service. I was shocked when I ordered a bottle of water (0.5l) and the guy on the bar poured around 150ml into glass, added a lot of ice and took back the bottle back. When I asked for a bottle, he said that this is not how it is done. Ok. We have visited this place for a standup comedy. At some point the bartender interrupted the comedian and said that you have 40 secs. It was awful and very rude. I understand that there is some agreements, rules, etc., but this could have been done in private and polite manner. Overall, I dont get why this place has such a high rating: its very small, everything is old, its very dirty inside, staff is rude, prices are too high for the quality and volume of drinks they provide.

The bar hosted an open mike event. It was so lovely and welcoming! Highly recommended this bar to everyone open for something new!

Loved the atmosphere, reminded me a bit of the Berlin squatting scene. Nice place for a beer, and if you’re lucky Gustav (the furry house cat) will pick your table to keep you company. The decorations add up to the good vibes. Definitely coming back.

I was here for a comedy show event yesterday, and really enjoyed it! Super cosy, fast and friendly service! Nice selection of locally brewed beer which go well with the fries and truffle mayonaise :) Hope they will have more fun events soon, it was such a great vibe 🔥

Pekky is our fav place to go. Everybody there is very friendly. You can even go there alone but there is always someone to keep you an company. Atmosphere is always very nice, a lot of fun, pArties, or table games. Food is delicious. You never bored in Pekky!
