Café De Deugniet in Burgwallen-Oude Zijde

Be the Lord Jaysus Mary and Joseph, we spilled out of the Italian restaurant next door after a great meal and this place was only bloomin’ hoppin’ ! The craic was mighty! Crazy place with a karaoke mc and loads of people hootin’ and hollerin’ dancing on the bar, swinging bar stools the lot! The place is an absolute blast we loved every minute. The service was great, the vibe super friendly with all nationalities, even Americans that came in saying “no Trump”! We consumed loads of beer, tequila, vodka, everything they could throw at us. You go a long way to top a night like this, highly recommend this place go there and have an absolute blast. You won’t be disappointed. Amsterdam and the Dutch are the best hosts in Europe, except of course Ireland and the Irish 🤣.

Very nice pub on the red light district. It can be packed, but that doesn't affect the atmosphere. We go there often.

A great real Amsterdam café, with very nice service and a singing owner. It was already a party in the afternoon and then Saturday still had to start!

Nice tent, unfortunately early in the evening the floor was so dirty that it was really impossible to dance normally. Too full, toilet too dirty and you also have to pay. Staff very friendly. Duration! Very very expensive! Drunken student guests throwing beer glasses and knocking over tables.

Had a super cool evening, what an atmosphere there is, you don't often encounter that while going out, highly recommended if you like fun!

Went here with the family on the Second day of Christmas. My sister and I saw this bar on a television program and wanted to see if the vibe is real as shown. And indeed it was really nice. Drank a couple of beers and sang some songs. The atmosphere was nice and friendly.

Unfortunately the music was so loud, a little less is allowed so that you can hear people.

Curious about the TV series in our Red Light District, had a beer at Cafe de Deugniet. What an atmosphere, what a pleasant atmosphere, exactly like on TV. Syar knows how to put the mood in his whole business, this is Amsterdam, great!!!

We stopped by several times for a drink. We had the same bartender everytime and he was really friendly and we were very happy with the service. Reasonably priced. Stop by for a drink!

LEER ANTES DE VENIR El "dueño" o camarero, Syar Hashemi, es un misógino VIOLENTO que me agredió varias veces sin provocación y lanzó mi teléfono. Mi padre y yo estábamos caminando y vimos este lugar que estaba lleno debido al partido de fútbol. Me paré junto a la puerta para mirar porque estaba llena de gente, y de la nada este hombre, Syar, me empuja con su espalda, casi tirándome de los escalones. Lo empujo hacia atrás para hacerle saber que no se meta en mi espacio de esa manera, y sigue haciéndolo. Finalmente lo empujo más fuerte y luego él me empuja fuerte y se enoja, cerrando la puerta y profundizando en la multitud. Le digo a mi padre que estaba parado un poco lejos que este hombre me empuja para que mi padre se enfrente no violentamente a él después de que la puerta se abre de nuevo. Syar dice: "Sí, empujé a tu hija, no voy a disculparme", luego MIENTE diciendo que lo empujé primero. Él empieza a gritarle a mi padre, así que saco mi teléfono para grabar y me agarra violentamente del teléfono y la mano (primer video). Empiezo a grabar de nuevo y porque me agredió, mi padre lo empuja. En lugar de golpear a mi padre (porque sabía que mi padre lo mecería), golpea mi teléfono de mi mano, y nos sigue fuera del bar. Él seguía diciendo que este no es nuestro hogar / no estamos en nuestro país, lo que es irónico considerando que es de Irán. Este es un hombre que golpea a las mujeres, y si yo hubiera estado en mi propio país, ya no tendría manos para hacer tal cosa.

The greatest pub in Amsterdam, incredible music, great vibes and service, treated like a regular on my first visit. Can’t say enough good things about my experience.

Would give 0 stars if I could. This place is discriminatory and rude. Tried to go here with 2 male friends. The security or employee at the door was rude and said it was only for ‘gay people’ and wouldn’t let us in. Unsure of the reason why. Not nice when you try to enter somewhere.

Discovered quite by chance while strolling in the center of Amsterdam. Very cozy place and welcoming staff. To do again during our next getaway.

In kingsday i ordered 1 bier here. The price behind was 4 euros. I was charged for 10 euro and received 0.5 Stupid mistake for me, and a cheat from the place

Was in Amsterdam on Thursday to watch Aston Villa play Ajax. Whilst collecting my ticket on Thursday my pals pop in for a beer. This turned out to be the best choice we made during our trip. The manager had obviously done his homework and was expecting a lot of fans to come in. We welcomed each and everyone of us with open arms, the beer flowed and the Juke Box was banging out the classic footy tunes. I even got to do a stint as DJ. Thank you for tour hospitality, really made the trip worth whlie.

Great atmosphere, got some football on the TVs too. Staff very friendly, decent music too.

If in Amsterdam for the weekend and love good music and a sing along, then must try Café De Deugniet. Fantastic little find, the whole bar was singing along with the bar staff.

What can I say!! We called in for 1 quiet drink, Firstly we were made felt so welcome for PIP, she was so helpful so friendly and 3 hours later we were still there. She was extremely friendly, made us feel welcome and we enjoyed every minute of being there. This was our 3rd time to visit Amsterdam and unfortunately only our first time to visit this bar so we will definitely be back the next time we visit.

Really nice little bar, but a 50c charge for toilets with no paper to dry your hands and a barely functioning toilet - our bar bill was €70. Not good enough.

What is not to like about this awesome pub in Amsterdam. The service, beer and music were just perfect, I was barhopping with my wife and this pub stole the lion's share of our night. The music was just great, sing-along-folk music to enjoy with a beer and good company. We sat close to the window with the water view and this with all the mentioned made our visit special. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Hier kann man abend sehr gut Bier trinken. Der Preis ist zwar sehr teuer, aber die Atmosphäre v.a. mit den versch. Publikum vor Ort macht es einen Besuch wert!

Was für eine Partylocation. Es war genau meine Musik 70er 80er 90er uns auch aktuelles im Mix. Der Chef macht sensationelle Stimmung. Getränke sind teuer wie überall in Amsterdam. Da es kein Essen gibt kann ich es nicht bewerten.

Es ist kein Café, sondern eine gemütliche und urige Kneipe in allerbester Lage. Am Tisch hinten links hat man durch ein Fenster einen tollen Blick auf Gracht und Bahnhof. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist der hohe Preis für das Bier. 0.5l für 8,50€ ist schon eine Hausnummer.
