Bar Regular & Jack in Grachtengordel-Zuid

First time coming to Amsterdam and Jen is just AMAZING! She made my experience here 10X better. I came here 2 nights in a row and this has been my favorite bar so far. Come by and show some love! Jen is by far the best bartender in Amsterdam!

Cute Bar near Rembrandt square in the center of Amsterdam offering Classic drinks as whisky, rum, beer and vodka. The staff was really friendly. The atmosphere is good, we sat next to the window and was cozy. The music wasn't too loud, what was really nice. The toilets are on the second floor, keep that in mind. In general its a nice and cozy place. The prices are high, but it's near the center so you have to deal with it. We had vodka with a cola and it was like 12€.

Jen is lovely, she makes good conversation and also makes sure we’re well kept. This is my favourite bar because of Jen

It is a really nice place with great beers. I watched a game of the world cup and I felt very comfortable. Definitely, I would go back for more pints.

Awful service, group of us came into bar and were shouted at immediately for going to the toilet when looking at menus. Immediately all left.

Pink haired women was extremely rude tried to go in for a drink and needed the toilet was screamed at for following the toilet sign upstairs. Unfortunate as the city’s lovely this woman needs a reality check, very poor customer service. Would never come back

Pink haired woman working the bar is horrible. Followed the signs upstairs to toilets and she starts screaming at us for walking up, we show her our friends have a table and are ordering drinks, so we try to go back to the toilet and she starts shouting again saying to leave the city and never come back. Horrible customer service will never come back

We came to watch the Netherlands' World Cup match and the two women working there treated us terribly. They were about as friendly as a wooden flag. If they don't want to serve customers, they should go to sleep and let people with a better attitude come. The employees are a disgrace.

Unbelievable place. The workers Jen, Lea, Danny, and a guy whose name is pronounced “Boss” are all great people.

The service was terrible, especially from the woman with purple hair... and it's just drinks, there's nothing to eat.

I came to watch the Netherlands vs. Sweden match. The bar was busy but not overcrowded, and the two women working there treated me rudely when I ordered a beer at the bar. I don't speak English very well, but it wasn't fair to be treated that way since the beer I was ordering was on the menu. They should hire employees who are friendlier to customers and who don't get upset if the bar gets crowded.

I tell everyone here in America that if you go to Amsterdam you have to go to Bar Regular because it’s the best bar!!! I talk about bar regular everyday and can’t wait to jump the pond again and come back!

Bar Regular & Jack is a great café in a perfect location. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Amsterdam

We became regulars at Regular and Jack’s; The reasonably priced drinks, warm atmosphere and friendly staff combined with a prime location made this bar our group’s go to spot for weekend pregames and weeknight borrels.

What a terrible bartender. If you don't feel like it, fine, but don't get so irritated if someone takes two seconds too long to pay their card, or if you walk through an empty bar, you don't have to give guests a shoulder nudge. If you don't like it anymore, find another job.

A very nice sports bar. Cozy, pleasant clientele, attentive owner. We watched 1. FC Köln vs. Mainz there with two friends during our Amsterdam trip. We had asked the day before if that was possible, and yes, it was, on the middle screen above the bar. Thank you for that! They also serve food, but I can't comment on that as we ate elsewhere. It looked good, though. We'd gladly come back on our next trip to Amsterdam.

Really decent bar, we came here 2 out of the 3 days were in Amsterdam due to the vibe of the place. Average price for a pint for the area and honestly just reminded me of a proper boozer. Id happily return if I return to Amsterdam.

Incredibly rude owner and staff. We booked a table and they started complaining that 3 friends were late of 10 minutes. The owner came shouting saying he was losing money. For 10 minutes. Overpriced beer and horrible food. Not recommended

Dropped by here to watch some premier league football. We had a great time. Service and atmosphere were excellent with very friendly bar service, lots of tv screens and sports bar type food. It’s easy to find being right by the flower market. It’s bigger than it looks with pool tables and more screens upstairs. Would highly recommend if you want to drop in for a few beers and watch some sport. Family friendly based on our trip

Chic bar in a good location, prices are more than reasonable for Amsterdam and the staff is super nice. There are TVs all over the bar with sports playing all the time. Requests regarding individual games and songs will be taken into account. There is a charming pool table on the 1st floor. Clear recommendation for sports fans and drinkers of all kinds!

If you’re in Amsterdam and want to watch any football league you gotta go here. I personally asked for the chelsea vs Southampton game and it was put on. The staff are so friendly and accommodating with such a good vibe. Had amazing chicken wings as well with delivery to table. The atmosphere was amazing and I met some good blokes who I never knew. Overall amazing experience, would recommend

Ok por dónde empezar... el personal del bar es increíble. La comida es increíble. Sin embargo, nos hemos obsesionado con este negocio de las 26 escaleras. Hemos contado 27 arriba y abajo. ( 25 después de unas copas ... .. alguien puede haber contado más o menos, pero ya sabes - cerveza. ) En fin, deporte. Cervezas. Comida. No necesitamos mucho más. Se convirtió en ‘El Bar’ para nosotros.

Nice place for watching some European football. The beer is cold, and the vibes are chill.

Arrived to watch football. Service was bad, waiter was impatient and rude even though he wasn’t busy. Waited 45 minutes for the absolute worst burger I have had in a long time. Everything was cold, bland and soggy. I would rather eat cold McDonald’s leftovers, the taste was so bad. They messed up my friend’s order, he waited for over an hour for a regular burger. They did however apologise for that, and gave us a beer on the house. This is by far the worst experience I have had in Amsterdam.

Comfortable, cozy place with a lot of history! For those who are passing through Amsterdam, you have to stop by this bar, you can watch games, relax, have a top beer and even chat, the staff are very good and receptive, in addition to this, several celebrities have visited there such as Pelé, Maradona, Senna, Cruijff !!!!! I highly recommend this place! Unforgettable! :)

/!\ NOT NICE TO STRANGERS! /!\ Went there tonight for the game Netherlands - France, to share a beer and have a good time (we're French). We had the French team shirt. At the bar, one waiter refused to serve us, saying "No, French, No" We thought it was a joke but then really didn't get served. Then when we tried to get closer to the other waiter, he got mad at us for "disturbing the other customers". If you look for a nice place to drink a beer, go to another place.

This is a nice sports bar in a great location. Very cool atmosphere - especially for watching sports. Typical sports bar type menu with a fairly limited selection of beers. Nice specialty cocktail menu with a dozen or so drinks. The food…not the best from what we can tell. We ordered ribs which they recommended. Coming from America though, we are a bit spoiled on BBQ. The ribs were very bland and not much flavor - I think there was ketchup smothered on top which was weird. If the bar is reviewing this, here are a few friendly tips. Be sure to peel off the membrane from the back of the ribs. Use something like mustard as a good binder on them and sprinkle them generously with a nice spicy rub. Not sure if you guys have smokers, but that’s what will actually put the flavor in them. Finish them on the grill or in the oven with a nice barbecue sauce to add more tackiness and some flavor.

This place is a great crack, it's its own vibe, not being aussie or Irish but simply just a good place to settle and have a pint. And rob was such a legendary bartender. The type you hope to meet upon your travels.
