Denied entry for being a foreigner. Showed the bouncer my valid form of identification, a residency permit card, and he just said no without an explanation. I am 21 and a resident, and he let my EU friends in. Discriminatory, do not attend this place.

Nice atmosphere, but the bar staff was gone half the evening and grumpy all evening

Great place to go out. Always packed and lined up on weekends. Funnily enough, it's perfectly manageable during the Four Days Marches.

Cozy nightlife venue with a great atmosphere

The drinks were mediocre, the beer was warm, and the music was so loud it seriously hurt my ears. They have a meter inside that indicates the volume of the music, and during my visit, it didn't drop below 120 decibels once.

Unbelievable, ballsy place. As a 22-year-old, I can't get in on a 23+ night, which is normal. Then, almost 16-year-old girls walk past me and let me in without any ID check. So if you're in the mood for a ballsy place with underage girls inside, by all means, go. Otherwise, there's no business here.

The beers are bad, the place is ok, it's usually very crowded but the music is nice.

I was rejected for the Ruig because I was wearing a tank top and long pants. The entire bar is full of women in shirts and tops, but as a man 'that was really different' I feel like I'm being treated like crazy

Lousy door policy, the doorman lets his friends skip the line and guides them inside. After waiting for half an hour without any movement in the line, we were done.

Small, cozy club. However, it can vary from day to day how busy it is and what kind of music is played here. This can sometimes be disappointing. Furthermore, great vibe, not a bar where you stand among 18 year olds. In the heart of Nijmegen, so a good location. Favorite place of many Nijmegen residents.

We were there a week ago and we'll be there again today, a bit crowded but it's not a problem. The security is very nice, as is the rest of the staff!

It is a cozy pub with fun music and a nice audience. However, the music was way too loud last Thursday. Put earplugs behind the bar or keep the music at a normal volume. A shame for our young ears. This is certainly a reason for people to go home. Tip to keep everyone happy...

Cozy pub, until the security guard doesn't have his day. I enjoyed coming here every week, but don't put 'ego' men at the door that you can't communicate with, unfortunately. Pub is fine, door policy leaves much to be desired unfortunately.

Nice tent, atmospheric and nice mix of music. Sometimes the door policy is not consistent. Or extremely full house, or a large line outside and pleasantly inside. Music is often very loud, earplugs recommended

We was there yesterday and the Dj was terrible. Very radio music and the songs was changing every 20sec.

Worst music ever, can't even call it a DJ. Been going out in Nijmegen for more than 12 years and yesterday I decided to go earlier, it makes me grumpy again when I think about that drama music. Nothing personal about the guy putting on music, but it was really bad. Every 10 seconds different music from ABBA to Lil Kleine and then again after 10 seconds 80's music. Phew.

One of the best places to go while clubbing. The age range is from 22 to 28, they have friendly staff and the music is quite good (in my opinion) especially compared to other places in Nijmegen.

In Nijmegen's increasingly younger nightlife crowd (or am I getting older?) bar Ruig is a breath of fresh air. Nice cafe for the over 23s with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Be sure to check carefully before ordering something if the price is not clearly stated on the menu. I believe that that is where the revenue model lies. Hence 4 stars

Nice bar, good atmosphere. Staff are having fun while they are working hard. Particularly age 25-30.

I can't give a good review, we were there around 10 p.m. and were the only ones inside. The bartender was friendly . I don't know what it will be like later

Went here on Friday evening for a drink and a dance. We had a great time. Friendly service, easy (contactless) payment for drinks and nice music. We had a good time :). The only downside was that it was really hot there, so don't dress too warmly.

Never go here again with the 4-day. With the four-day parties, it was unclear that you had to be 21+. I am, but a few others are not. I wanted to pay a separate entrance fee and when the rest were not allowed to enter, I did not get my entrance fee back. Hadn't even seen the inside of the pub yet. A discussion was impossible with the staff at the door. Fortunately, they do take feedback positively to hopefully improve or organize a hectic week like the 4-day event!

New, cozy café in the city center of Nijmegen (Koningsplein). In the evening with seating - later chairs and tables are moved aside and people can dance while live music is played.
