Service was good! Friendly staff. Unfortunately, we had expected more from the food. The ribeye and BBQ steak are especially tasty. The desserts too. The salmon and chorizo ​​were a bit tasteless.

Although very friendly, the service isn't good. I don't know how to describe the reactions... I'd say they were infrequent and very expensive.

Terrible food, fine friendly staff, but everything was cold and mediocre in taste. The paella was simply hard and the mussels were cooked so briefly that they were still closed. The portions were also so small that we left hungrier than when we arrived, but 120 euros poorer.

Visited for Amex dining offer, nice location with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. The preset menu could have been more Spanish, (flank) steak was bit chewy. Lamb well cooked and delicious. Would be happier with tapas and paella included in the menu. Dessert grilled pineapple served with a tea spoon, very difficult to eat.

Unfortunately, the food was incredibly soft, both the patatas bravas and the salmon. The octopus, however, is highly recommended. I sat here with a friend on Saturday afternoon around 3 pm. Wonderfully quiet, even though the weather was nice. It's also nice to have that little square next to the outdoor terrace. The service was friendly and cheerful, which was pleasant.

We spent hours having a lot of drinks with friends (150€+) and at some point we were told that having a cap was forbidden (which doesn’t say it in the house rules, it just says it’s better not but not forbidden) then we asked for some tape water because it was really hot weather, it happened that we ordered to the owner and he became irritated because we told him that we should not pay for tape water as he told us. He replied by saying “or you take the bottle of water or you f off” and bring us the bill asking us one last time if we wanted water or not. He told us that they have rules (picture) so we have to comply to them which actually doesn’t say anything about tape water. Not the best experience, I do not recommend. Too bad for the waiters and waitresses that were really nice.

The steak rolls arrived cold, the fish dishes did not taste fresh or good. The meatballs Tasted like came out of a can. The patatas bravas were soggy and literally just a few small pieces on a plate. Covered in sauce to make it look bigger. 2 shrimps dish were soft mushy inside. Bad. The bald gentlemen server kept trying to push several dishes onto us, insisting they were amazing unfortunately, the reality was the opposite. While small portions are expected at a tapas restaurant, but at these prices and poor quality food it is outrageous. Asked the bill, No receipt was provided only a total amount and server rushed us to pay quickly, we requested to check our bill first, and surprisingly € 35 had been added incorrectly! For the same price as two poor Quality tapas here, you can get an excellent steak dinner or high-quality fish at many great restaurants in Amsterdam. We were offered a free shot and then also asked to leave a positive review, which felt inappropriate given the bad experience. I wanted to leave an honest review based on our actual experience. This place is more For students and a beer.

I came across Rimovanax's review and the owner's response, and I have to say my experience was very similar. The issue was never that the restaurant offers fusion dishes. It was that the menu and branding create an expectation of authentic Spanish and Latin American cuisine, while the food felt heavily adapted and lacked the flavors and preparation you'd expect from those traditions. The owner's response explains the concept, but it doesn't really address the core criticism. Saying the menu has changed or that certain dishes are no longer served doesn't invalidate someone else's experience if they visited at a different time. I also agree that ingredient information should be communicated clearly by staff. When customers ask direct questions about what's in a dish, they should be able to trust the answer they receive. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but after reading Rimovanax's review, I can honestly say it closely reflects my own experience as well.

It's not normal, you can't sit there with your head down. It's abnormal that this is allowed.

I went here today for a quick drink with my son, but that didn't happen because we sat down and someone came up and said: "I'm sorry, but sportswear isn't allowed here!" I find this to be really serious discrimination! A bit of a shame, because this has always been a nice place. But I'm definitely never coming here again.

Yesterday I sat on the terrace at Barca and was told to take off my hat. It turned out this ridiculous house rule had been introduced a few weeks ago. Two staff members couldn't explain why this new rule was implemented. It is truly unbelievable. I will not go to Barca again as long as this senseless rule applies!!!

Very disappointing experience. As someone familiar with both Spanish and Latin American food culture, I was shocked by how little authenticity was reflected in this menu. Many dishes and drinks feel like Dutch interpretations of Hispanic cuisine rather than anything you would actually find in Spain or Latin America. "Pornstar Sangría" is probably the best example—an odd marketing gimmick that has nothing to do with traditional sangria. The "Tres Helados" dessert is equally confusing, consisting of vegan chocolate, raspberry, and custard ice cream with no clear connection to the cultures it claims to represent. Even the patatas bravas lacked the authentic flavor and preparation one would expect. To make matters worse, we specifically asked about pork in one of the sauces and were told there was none, yet both of us became ill later that evening. Looking at the menu, it feels as if authenticity was sacrificed in favor of trendy Dutch fusion concepts. If you're searching for genuine Spanish or Latin American flavors, this place is likely to leave you disappointed. It may appeal to people who enjoy heavily adapted versions of these cuisines, but for those who know the real dishes, the experience falls far short of expectations.

The food was decent, but what stayed with me wasn’t the tapas. It was being told mid-meal to take off my hat. We were sitting on the terrace on a sunny day and I was wearing a cap to protect my skin from the sun. Being interrupted during your meal to comply with a rule like this, with no prior warning, feels unnecessary and quite frankly disrespectful. When I asked why, I didn’t get a satisfying answer, just an expectation that we’d comply. I still don’t understand the reasoning behind it and would have appreciated a proper explanation.

Its a nice place to sit outside in the sun but I wouldnt recommend the food. It was bland at best. Especially the paella was inedible. For a place with poor food, no menus (qr code on the table), and a waiter in street clothes with dirty white sneakers I was told I wasnt allowed to wear a hat while sitting outside in the sun. Pretty odd to have a dress code for customers but not for staff.

We waited 25 minutes for cold bitterballen and have now been waiting for almost 35 minutes for a pitcher of sangria. We also haven't seen a waiter on the terrace for drinks for 20 minutes with the other guests. Even though the weather is nice, the terrace is not completely full. This is ruining the whole evening.

1 star For service as we were given different messages, at one point we were almost kicked out after paying a bill of €110 because we sat down at the terrace. When we arrived at 5PM they said we could wait inside, have some food and check if there were seats outside. When we saw a seat outside and sat down, we rudely were spoken to by 3 servers. We explained what was told us before (if that’s not policy, that is not our problem if that’s what’s explained), which the available waiters said they understood. After this, we were disturbed by waiters who told us we had to leave, and let us stay. In the beginning we had a good experience, but it is very unfortunate how it ended. Especially when everytime a waiter came to kick us out, to afterwards let us stay. What was this hassle for?

I went to Barca with a friend to eat with high expectations, but unfortunately, it was disappointing. I understand that the weather was nice and could have made it busier, and I certainly don't expect someone to be at our table every five minutes. But we were constantly looking for service whenever we wanted to order something or get another drink. We weren't the only ones; several tables seemed to be looking for staff. The staff often seemed more preoccupied with each other than with the guests. Sometimes they were all standing quietly behind the bar, while we sat with empty glasses or wanted to order food. Additionally, things were forgotten, such as drinks and the menu. Only when we raised our hand did someone come by. The food itself was fine; that wasn't the issue. However, everything was served in stages. For example, we had ordered three dishes, but they never arrived at the table at the same time. Due to the mediocre service, we eventually left earlier than planned. It was a nice experience for a one-time visit, but I wouldn't go back here again.

Also, the service from the young blonde waiter was a bit on autopilot; it could be more human and personal! Location superb! By the way: The Aperol was more water than Aperol (heavily diluted!)

I visited here recently because it was recommended by many people, and on a beautiful sunny day, this seemed like the perfect spot. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. My girlfriend and I wanted to sit in the sun, but there was no space available. Therefore, we initially sat partially in the sun (only our food and drinks were in the sun). We had already ordered and asked if we could move later, but we were told that we had to keep an eye on this ourselves. Additionally, the service was very slow, and it was difficult to get the staff's attention to order something. When a table in the sun became available, we asked if we could sit there. After being referred elsewhere several times, we were told that this was not possible because it was a table for more than two people. However, at that moment, there were also two people sitting at an identical table; according to the staff, “right from the start.” A little later, someone came in, greeted an employee, and then sat down alone at exactly the table where we were not allowed to sit. Nothing was said about this. Shortly after, another person joined him, making them a couple as well. Meanwhile, we heard that other girls who asked to move later were told that the staff would keep an eye on this for them. Later, another table in the sun became available where we were not allowed to sit, but where two girls were subsequently seated. Eventually, we saw that groups of two were simply sitting at multiple tables (at least 4 of the 6, which the staff said were for 3+ people). This gave us the strong feeling that it was decided arbitrarily who got a good spot and who didn't, which comes across as very unfair. There are certainly friendly people working there, but the person assigning the tables does not seem to make consistent choices in this regard. Although several things did not run entirely smoothly, this situation really stood out negatively for us. If you want to be treated fairly, I would unfortunately not recommend this place.

We visited at around 4:30 pm and ordered from the tapas menu, as no other options were available at that time. Unfortunately, the food service was quite inconsistent—our dishes arrived one at a time with noticeable gaps in between, rather than being served together. In terms of quality, there were a few issues. The meatballs were disappointing, as they were only lukewarm at best—the sauce was warm, but the meatballs themselves were cold. The wings were also underwhelming, being both soggy and overly salty. The rest of the dishes were decent, but the overall experience would have been much improved if everything had been served at the same time and at the proper temperature. On a positive note, the staff were very helpful, polite, and provided good customer service throughout our visit. The venue itself is nice and has a pleasant atmosphere. However, the kitchen execution needs improvement to match the quality of the service and setting.

I just encountered the worst staff attitude ever. I entered with my friends at 23:15 to grab a glass of wine, and I was told they are closed on a super unfriendly way, asking why on the maps it says 12 and she replied that it was slow so they closing earlier while smoking a cigarette indoors and talking with attitude. Also there was already a group of 7 having drinks and smoking indoors as well. Really, I don’t know what to say. I understand closing early because of a slow night , but what kind of treatment is this , and the smoking???

Answering the administrator's question: The place is beautiful, the staff are very friendly and attentive. I don't recommend having dinner on a Friday night; it's a good time to drink with friends. There are a lot of people doing that and it's very noisy. The food is good, but they brought the wrong food. The bathroom had no toilet paper. One of the sinks was broken. There was no soap to wash your hands. It looked like a nightclub bathroom. It has the potential for 5 stars.

Since I cannot reply to your review, I will just leave this here. This response is frankly embarrassing. I was with five other people, all of whom clearly saw tables available. We approached one staff member politely. We did not “repeatedly approach multiple staff members” — that is simply untrue. Other staff came to us on their own. Inventing a different version of events to shift blame onto the customer is not a good look. I was not forceful, aggressive, or demanding. Claiming otherwise is an easy way to avoid accountability, but it does not reflect what happened. As for the “bald gentleman” where the word gentleman is a strech— his tone was absolutely not calm, and the interaction was very much face-to-face. People do not leave angry in a group of six because someone spoke politely and professionally. Instead of acknowledging that your service could have handled the situation better, you chose to publicly lecture and blame the customer. That says far more about your attitude than my review ever could. If this reply is representative of how you deal with feedback, then the poor service we experienced that evening makes perfect sense.

I visited this bar with a group of six. There was a large round table that could easily accommodate our group, but it was occupied by only two people. I politely asked the waitstaff if I go to the guests and tell them they can moved to another table so our group could sit there. The staff was saying the bar was full even though there were two prople places. I calmly explained the situation again, but one of the staff members (a bald man) suddenly yelled directly in my face, saying, “WE ARE FULL.” This was extremely disrespectful and unnecessary. I come to this bar every week and have never experienced service like this before. What made it even more frustrating is that our group would have ordered significantly more and generated more business at that table. The issue wasn’t the refusal—it was the rude and aggressive way it was handled. Very disappointing experience, especially from a place I’m usually loyal to.
