Barista Café in Wijk 02 Almere Stad

It was good before the renovation, but now it seems to have gone downhill, and the service is incredibly poor. I've been here several times and had to wait an incredibly long time—15 or 20+ minutes—for my order to be taken. Every time, I had to either call them over or go forward myself. The waitresses are too busy chatting loudly and aren't focused on customers. It's a real shame.

Bad, first and last time I had ordered a standard breakfast of €14 at 12:30 I had to be at my appointment opposite at 13:00 I had to ask myself at 12:50 where it was because I almost had to walk, 12:55 I got it a waste of money I also had to take quick bites a mini bake-off croissant not cooked at all on the inside because the dough was still there, the granola cup was watery yoghurt probably because it had been standing for so long, 1 slice of bread with a slice of cheese in the middle and a piece of biscuit, some scrambled eggs how does this take 25 minutes because I could count on 1 hand that there were only 4/5 people in the café? I also left almost everything because it was inedible and I had to leave. Then the women's toilet was also shit on literally poop on the seat, toilet rolls hanging out

Came for breakfast. Salad already dry and with signs of dying, berries on top of the mini granola with mold on them, yesterdays scrambled eggs heated in microwave, granola itself is served separately ...

We came here for a nice cup of coffee with something tasty. The menu looked good and it seemed suitable for our children who have quite a few allergies. But the first cake on the menu was gone and there were no really good alternatives for children (for example apple juice), since all smoothies were gone. In addition, there were only a few sandwiches available. According to our daughters, the banana bread was tasty and the coffee was good, but for the rest we think the service was bad, the excuse was that there had been a high and the bit of thinking along for alternatives and what was there was lacking, we felt a bit uncomfortable because everything we wanted turned out to be gone

Nice food and value for money in Almere, service could be a little better.

Grumpy woman, the dark boy was friendly. I sat here last time and they forgot the bacon with the club sandwich. I thought that was a mistake. Almost all the chairs outside are covered in bird droppings. I think that's pretty gross. So it took some searching. We also wanted to eat something. I was informed that the kitchen would close an hour in advance, or 16:30, which turned out to be 16:00. It was 16:15. We went somewhere else. The lady was very nonchalantly irritated. The high tea is recommended.

Very dirty toilets ... that is really not possible. The order also took a very long time, waiting 15 minutes for a cup of tea is really too long

The boy in the kitchen in particular was busy and prepared a delicious high tea. The division with 3 in the service and 1 in the kitchen may not have been great. Music could be turned down a notch and toilet a bit cleaner.

Staff is not customer friendly. You have to figure it out yourself. High tea reserved. Then they make you wait for a very long time. Don't go here. Unless you have a lot of time to wait. Don't!

Bad customer service. It took a long time before we were helped. Had to go after it ourselves. The ladies especially had a lot of time for each other.

Went here today for breakfast with a friend. It was quite quiet for a Saturday morning. I waited fifteen minutes for the waitress so she could take my drink. Finally I raised my hand and then she came. After waiting another fifteen minutes we got our drinks. We had already made a choice and we asked the waitress if she could come back after she brought the rest of the drinks, she nodded yes. Ten minutes later and we see her walking away from the store with her coat and all. We waited again and other guests also looked around to see why there was no waitress in the area. Finally, we paid and went somewhere else. Too bad about this. Because the service is good during the week.

Update: We received a call back from an employee of the café shortly after the incident. It was a nice conversation: the refusal was based on a misunderstanding and we were assured that assistance dogs and their owners are always welcome. We have been there again and enjoyed the coffee again. Congratulations for your quick action and great that assistance dogs are welcome! ==================================== This week I was in this cafe with my assistance dog in training. We have been here before and with the good experiences we thought we could enjoy a cup of coffee this time too. But unfortunately...the employee came to tell us that dogs are not allowed inside. After which I explained that we have been here before and he is a service dog; Even when she showed me his blanket and my passport, she continued to insist that the dog was not allowed inside. We were able to sit outside on the terrace, in the wind and rain. It's a shame that that welcome feeling for everyone does not apply to everyone.

Ordered a delicious goat cheese sandwich and a Latte macchiato on the terrace at Barista Almere, there was quick service on the terrace.

Fine, and it can become a favorite place. The service will need to improve somewhat. Yourself Get up to place your order, the kitchen is already closed at 4 o'clock and so you can no longer order a scone and no cookie with the second cup of coffee because it was gone. If things like that improve, it's a really good place!

Had a nice chai latte there :) friendly service, nice atmosphere. Just very warm, that might be a personal thing too. But I will definitely come back!

The Club sandwich is actually half a Club instead of a whole one. For almost €14 you expect a whole sandwich instead of 2 mini slices of bread cut in half. The taste was also mediocre and the bread not toasted. Travesty!

Nice and affordable place for lunch. Some dishes are tasty, others are. Coffee is always a hit. Staff is sometimes a bit on the slow side. At a busy time I had to wait almost half an hour before someone came to see me. All in all, a place I like to visit at quieter times.

Had a delicious high tea and it was nice that it was vegetarian. Thanks for the nice afternoon!

My visit to Barista Cafe was unfortunately a bit mixed. Although the atmosphere was pleasant, I had to get up and go to the staff to give my order, which was a bit disappointing. Fortunately, the delicious coffee and dessert made up for it. If the service is improved, this could definitely be a favorite spot.

Don’t recommend, poor service, and cleanliness.

Enjoyed eating and drinking here. Is a place where you can relax, work, read a book. No one bothers you and friendly employees. Nice place for the young people who work there, to start in the catering industry. (Also to learn from their mistakes, such as clearing the table when there are empty glasses and putting food down. Ask if everything is to your liking, and if products have run out, please report this in advance 😉). You can also sit outside, weather permitting. The menu is not that extensive, so the choice is made faster 😄. There are also toilets (which could use a makeover), but I doubt whether a wheelchair will fit through them.

Yesterday everything was decorated for a baby shower the next day. No cancellation received by telephone or email. Then you find yourself standing in front of a closed door with 11 others. On the site you promote that people should come by, but contacting them was not possible? We had to do it with a note on the door. Very dissatisfied, I was not treated nicely, I had made a reservation for today, November 16, for 11 people, a high tea especially for a baby shower, people came from far away and an hour and a half drive away and we arrive and there is a note hanging saying we are closed, it is ridiculous that I I haven't called Mrs. You have to find something else, a lot of whining, I'm really not happy, I left some stuff behind to decorate the table, well, I can throw everything away now, thanks......

Nice cafe and good coffee, unfortunately the service is terrible. When they brought our drinks we asked to order food. The waitress assured us she'd send someone. Long story short — After almost an hour and having to get up twice to ask at the counter if someone could please take our food order, the waitress came to our table to inform us the kitchen closed 15mins ago. The staff was friendly, but cannot recommend this place if you're set on getting a meal

Unfortunately not what it was a few years ago. Tried it a few times but the service is not good. If you want to be helped, it is best to walk to the counter and order there. The food is acceptable. The restaurant is not clean. There are also a lot of flies inside. In short: I will skip this location for the time being.

The food and service here is always nice and pleasant but today unfortunately there while ordering our food we saw mice running around which took our appetite .we were very disappointed since it's one of our favorite places in Almere to hang out with friends and family. Hopefully it will be remedied with cats or pesticides as soon as possible .

I love to finish my shopping with coffe at this place. The cakes are so good, same like the vibe and interior. But what I admire the most is service! Huge thanks to the lovely woman, who always welcome people with smile and can read customers needs in 100% 💛 highly recommended

Never experienced what happened today. Long story short. My son did not like the salmon wrap. I told him to eat it anyway. Waitress heard that and said she didn't like the salmon wrap either and that she understood. We never complained, she came to us on her own. She indicated that she could exchange it. Very nice and unexpected. My son was very happy about this. They threw away the old one and we got 1 without sauce. Everyone was happy until we had to pay. We suddenly had to pay for the salmon wrap that had been thrown away (if I had known this, it wouldn't have to be thrown away and I wouldn't have wanted a new one) and we got the new one at a 20% discount. Waitress indicated that we were lying and she never indicated that we could exchange it. Because she had made a mistake, probably her manager in the kitchen said it was not possible, she suddenly became very rude. What a nasty waitress. In the end it was resolved well by the team leader, but if you pay around 75 euros you hope for a good experience. Our last time here.

Nice to have a chat while enjoying a cup of coffee. It is a disappointment that it is now the umpteenth time that when I want to eat something in addition to something to drink, they no longer have anything on the menu in stock. Be aware of the female manager. If you do visit this place give the staff members some love cause they need it! There's a woman (manager I believe) working here who is so rude and disrespectful towards employees! I have witnessed her ill treating a young student who's doing his internship at this place. There's a difference between teaching something to someome and belitteling someone! It's so sad to witness this really. Another thing I witnessed: the female manager suddenly started screaming and running into the kitchen (completely unaware that this is her workplace and there are customers sitting inside who are disturbed by her attitude). She was snapping with her fingers screaming: ey ey ey eruit, eruit, eruit NU!!! (Get out, get out, get out NOW). I first thought it was a dog (since human beings shouldn't be treated this way) but it turned out to be a kid around 10 years old! His mom rushed after him apologizing as he got out of the kitchen. She said her son is unable to speak! The kid was autistic! Which was very visible due to his body language! Yet this woman kept screaming and making a fuss and treating the mother and the kid disrespecfully! I don't want to put the racist flag out here but the woman was from the Middle East. The manager later told the female staff off as if it was her fault. The staff was just busy working. Note that there were only a few customers inside it's was not even busy. I don't know what's wrong with this female manager but she seems deeply unhappy and is out there to make others unhappy too. I hope she gets help for the sake of the people around her. Poor staff members. Sending you all love! Please stay strong, you're not alone. And dear manager lady: please be kind to people. If you teach with a smile and kindness, people will learn faster! And if you want to give feedback please do it kindly too and in private. You screaming doesn't make the situation better. Thank you!

Beautiful terrace in the sun on the square in front of Almere Centrum station. Friendly service. Coffee tasted great, but unfortunately a glass of wine could not be served (the necessary permit was missing).

Delicious sandwich. Sweet service. However, they made a mistake with 3 of the 4 items ordered. Order taken but apparently lost somewhere and so waited 20 minutes for nothing. More than one "apparently didn't get through" could be added.

Sitting behind the glass in nice chairs, it gives you a homely feeling.

My heavily pregnant wife asked if she could go to the toilet. That will be one euro, the employee said, and that otherwise she can go outside and pee on the street. What a rude employee. I don't recommend this ballet tent to anyone.

We went there for afternoon coffee and it was a great experience. We had home made iced-tea, lemon tart (suggested by the staff) and Cortado. Everything was great.

Prima inrichting, over eten kan ik niet oordelen. Wil hier wel kwijt dat ik het niet normaal vind dat als je een cola bestelt voor 3,25 euro, je dan een klein flesje van 0,2 liter krijgt. Glas zonder ijs of citroen. Liefdeloos. Kan echt anders.

Fijne plek, waar je ook kunt werken met een laptop. Goede koffie en lekker eten. In het weekend vind ik de bediening minder vlot dan doordeweeks.

The best coffee in the Netherlands

We were shopping and we had cold, so decided to have a nice hot chocolate. It was around 15hrs and the waitress said she'll need to take a look behind because she might not have enough chocolate 🤔, luckily they had just enough for us and we could enjoy it with an apple pie.

Erg leuke tent! We hebben er erg lekker gegeten personeel was erg aardig en de sfeer is goed! De gebakken die we hadden besteld waren van goede kwaliteit en een lekker groot stuk! Ook was de koffie lekker en leuk gedaan met een hartje, al met al een goede tent een aanrader

Deze plek was altijd ons favoriete plekje. Helaas is het na de verbouwing veel minder gezellig. Het Barista Café ontbijt is op om 11:00. Haal het dan van de kaart af.

Het eten is erg lekker, bediening duurt wel redelijk lang maar het ziet er gezellig uit. Ik raad het aan.
