The pasta and pizza were very good. Good quantity and quality.

The food is truly excellent, and the staff are incredibly friendly. It's a bit dark inside, but it's still a very pleasant place to eat. I think this place deserves more attention.

Delicious authentic Italian pizza. Flavorful red sauce! Tasty and diverse topping options, especially vegetarian options. Highly recommended. A well-filled, delicious pizza for just €15! The seating is also comfortable.

Pizza was authentic and delicious and not massed produced just had a tiny bit of burn one side. Great to see the chef making and working the dough.

Ordered 2 pizzas tonight. Received one and it wasn't even the right one. Tried calling but don't answer! Definitely do not order this. Delivery guy just left after repeatedly saying this is not our food.

Ordered 2 pizzas: Calzone and 5-gusti. They were very good for Netherlands standard. Recommend if you're not looking for the ''italian level'' pizza. The restaurant is very cozy, a great place for a conversation (or date ;) ). Service was a bit slow. Maybe 30 mins for the pizza to come. But worth the wait! :) We are probably returning

What a pleasant atmosphere there is in this nice cozy restaurant. Delicious professional pizzas with sufficient ingredients. So here you get real tasty pizzas with a delicious base. Better quality from the "neighbor" a little further away. Bella Italia is highly recommended, and certainly not expensive!

Been many times in the past and always great. But still very, very good. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer, but it is more than worth it. Does not compromise on quality. These are the real pizzas. Thank you again, we will be back soon. Can't wait!

Simple looking restaurant where they manage to serve a pizza that deserves the qualification 'excellent'. The crispy base, the fresh ingredients; everything is correct. Together with some soft music from Italian soil and a Peroni or other Italian drink, it is complete.

Hey everyone, please do not listen to the bad reviews. I’ve been coming to this restaurant ever since I was a little boy and have always loved it there. My favorite has been the Fantasia pizzas but every one I tried has been lovely. All the foods there are just great. Me and my family have had the same waiter for years and he has never let us down. I will always love this pizzeria, so thank you, Bella Italia, for giving me a geat place of happiness.

The pizzas are freshly made in the restaurant and are delicious! Unfortunately there were few other guests...

Wonderful pizza restaurant where we like to order. Price may be a bit higher than other restaurants, but more than worth it! Delivery sometimes took a little longer during corona times (which is understandable), but nowadays it's completely fine and can be tracked in the app. Top!

Definitely not recommended, pasta tasted no better than pasta that you make at home, all pizzas contain garlic as standard, which was not mentioned anywhere, after we made a comment about this we were told that not everything should be mentioned on the menu and that if we have problems with that we can scrape it away with a spoon (I think everyone agrees that garlic always leaves a taste anyway, even if you get it from somewhere, especially garlic oil on a pizza), ultimately the pizza not touched and still had to pay for it, which is a shame, when I mentioned that I thought it was unprofessional how they treated us, I was told by the chef that everywhere in Italy garlic is standard on the pizza, which is not true at all, I have been to different parts of Italy many times and never encountered it, it is a pity that it took so much effort to re-prepare one of the pizzas we had ordered without the garlic, as can be seen in the answer to one of our other review they assumed that we had hoped for free food by complaining, that was certainly not the case, the only thing that mattered is that one of us did not like garlic (she is pregnant and does not touch anything that has garlic on it ) and would have liked her pizza without garlic, apparently that was too much to ask, which is a shame, we just wanted to eat somewhere nice :(

The restaurant is hot, the beer warm. Busy 3 tables and long waiting time. Hair in the pasta. Hard pizza dough and PIZZA WITH garlic oil which was not mentioned on the menu or by the waiter. Terrible place and poor food not recommended P.s. During an argument with the waiter and the chef they said it was a traditional Italian pizzeria and they had a pineapple pizza on the menu xd

It took 1 hour before food finally arrived (we were the only guests), but it was stated on the spot that the kitchen was only open for pizza after 8 p.m. Would recommend another store

Had a delicious meal with a group of 12 people. Vegan cheese pizzas for vegans, crispy well-filled pizzas, delicious lasagna and excellent house wine.

Ordered a cold pizza for 20 euros with different toppings than indicated. When we called the restaurant the response was "you can't, don't like the pizza" and they couldn't do anything for us. The pizza ended up in the trash.

The spinach on the pizza was frozen and made the pizza watery. But the dough was hard. Very hard that we could barely cut it with a steak knife. I was starving so I tried to eat it. But both my friends didn’t eat their pizza and when we mentioned this to the gentleman he told us “pizzas are always hard here, you should know this” which shocked me. When a customer says they couldn’t eat the pizza because it was too hard you should at least try to compensate them in some way. But all he said was "now you know for next time". I mean, shocking! Wow

Terrible food and terrible service. The pizza was as hard as a rock and the ingredients were cooked frozen. Not the quality I was expecting based on their prices. I would’ve been better off eating a pizza from Albert Heijn. I couldn’t finish the pizza and I let the owner know this as I paid the bill. His response: ‘All pizzas are hard. You should know this.’. Strange response given the fact that he doesn’t know me personally, but even worse was his follow up answer to ‘hard where in Italy?’. He responded with, ‘no, I mean at this restaurant’. Waste of my time and money - I hope this saves someone else from making the same mistake. And for everyone that rated this place 5 stars - I hope one day you’ll get to try a proper Italian pizza.

Bad customer service, when we told the pizza’s were bad the waiter didnt even flinch. The food was so hard that i could barely bite through it. The only reaction we got from the owner was: “pizza’s are hard, you should know this”. WORST PIZZA I EVER HAD

Despite the slightly longer waiting time (50 minutes), I enjoyed the calzone due to crowds, but experience has shown that the others also taste delicious! Also run by a passionate Italian family and you can taste that in everything. In short, highly recommended.

Delivered within half an hour and a really great pizza. By far the tastiest pizzas you can find in Nijmegen.

Unfortunately a bad experience... ordered pizzas at 6:10 PM and had to wait more than two hours later (via home delivery it would be delivered within 45 minutes). No contact during the whole time, unreachable, phone not answered...Contact via delivery person: rude employee on the line, no excuses, no compensation...no solution... Order returned. If you can't handle the crowds, don't take any more orders. Very unfortunate because it has been a good business for a long time, and always good pizzas... but this is really not possible...

Order has been in transit for more than 2 hours and the restaurant is inaccessible. First and last time I order here unfortunately.

Had a terrible experience with these amateurs. Ordered 3 pizzas at 6:33 PM and still not received at 8:38 PM. Phone is also not answered (I think it's turned off). I understand that it can take longer due to crowds, but to also turn off your phone... Some restaurants should not exist at all if they are too cowardly to speak to their customers. Highly recommended!

DRAMATIC (DELIVERY) SERVICE. Ordered 3 pizzas with promised delivery time of 60 minutes, after more than 2.5 hours (!) Delivery person at the door. Called after 2 hours to cancel, phone was not answered. Didn't accept pizzas, didn't get a penny back. Not recommended.

Excellent pizzeria, run entirely by Italians, where you can eat real Italian pizza in Nijmegen. The ingredients are of high quality, the dough is excellent, and the service is punctual and precise. I think it's the best pizza I've eaten, and continue to eat, in Holland. Highly recommended!

Almost 45 minutes late. Lasagna was dry, consisted almost exclusively of dough and slices of ham (little bolognaise). Pizza was simply burnt. Called because mistakes can happen, they were unfriendly and indicated that this is normal. Just ordered again from NY....

A household name in Nijmegen for many years. An original Italian pizzeria, where the pizzas are made and baked by a real Italian. My girlfriend and I both ate a delicious pizza. Let the pizza chef (owner of the restaurant) make the choice. It's been a long time since I ate such a tasty and very well-filled pizza. Highly recommended.... We will definitely come back again. Friendly staff too.

Delicious pizzas and excellent staff. There was a very large group in front of us, so it took a little longer, but the service came with a nice apology and a bread basket with warm fresh bread with herb butter for while we were waiting. Very well resolved. Highly recommended!

Easy to find and very nice staff. The food was out in good time and the pizzas we had were very tasty. I would go again. They offer some vegan options. The prices are ok but not great. They let us box up the remains of our pizza to take them, so I'm not sure if they do takeaway.

Ordered 6 pizzas, the peasana and classico were very tasty. The Tonno, on the other hand, was just boring and tasteless and not well-filled, which was a shame. The employee was very friendly.

Delicious authentic Italian food. The bases of the pizzas; that's the way it should be! The menu is small, but what's on it is great! The pizza baker at the front of the restaurant is an absolute winner; really impressed. This is the closest thing to Italian pizzas. We have eaten pizzas in many places in the Netherlands, but this one is without a doubt in the top 5! The owner told us that he drives back and forth to Italy every week to get all kinds of ingredients. We will definitely come back here! Bravo!

Good food, but a bit of a long wait

Nice place with a nice atmosphere. Very busy, but that is of course positive in a way! Perfect pizzas, even for takeaway! Pre-slicing the pizzas was no problem. We were even offered a drink while waiting.

ENG: It’s rather common, when you go to Italian restaurants in another country, to eat food which claims to be ‘real Italian’, but it then turns out to be of a much lower quality. Well, this is definitely not the case. I was born and have lived in Italy until a couple of years ago, and I can say this is the best pizza I’ve had so far in the Netherlands. The whole staff (including the pizza chef) is Italian, and the pizza they propose is exactly the same you can eat in Italy, baked in a wood-fired oven and with first-quality ingredients. First quality pizza, highly recommended. ITA: E’ abbastanza comune, quando vai in un ristorante italiano in un paese straniero, mangiare del cibo che ti viene spacciato per italiano, ma che in realta’ si rivela poi di qualita’ molto piu’ bassa. Questo non e’ assolutamente il caso. Sono nato e cresciuto in Italia, e posso dire che questa e’ la miglior pizza che ho mangiato finora qui in Olanda. Il personale (pizzaiolo incluso) e’ italiano, e la pizza e’ esattamente la stessa che puoi trovare in una pizzeria in Italia, cotta nel forno a legna e con ingredienti di prima qualita’. Altamente raccomandato!

The pizza was drizzled with oil with garlic in it (was not mentioned on the menu) and was mediocre at best, but much worse was the poor service. Despite the quiet evening in the restaurant, the pizzas took almost an hour to arrive. Now I can certainly understand these kinds of things, but people can at least offer an apology or inform me of delays in the meantime. None of this. In fact, after a long wait and after receiving the wrong pizza we still could not count on any apologies or even friendliness and when we tentatively commented we were rudely ignored. Disrespectful.
