Cozy location. Prompt service. Wide selection of (tasty) starters and antipasti. Main courses (pasta with fennel sausage in white sauce and ravioli) were bland with little depth. Add a bit more variety to the main menu.

Delicious food! I was there at 5:00 PM and was able to sit quietly on the terrace in the corner with my dog. Will definitely become a regular customer.

Very tasty dishes and a quiet, pleasant terrace

A lovely spot where we go quite regularly to imagine ourselves in Italy for a moment. Tasty pastas, love the red Nespoli wine, and for dessert, always the delicious tiramisu ❤️

Had a delicious meal and a nice terrace. However, there were an enormous number of flies. It would be nice if there were electric fly fans on the table.

There was far too little staff for service, causing the food to take too long (well over an hour) and drinks not to arrive at all. Next to our table / on the terrace was the neighbors' organic waste container, resulting in an incredible number of flies. Other seats were not available. We left without a second (and third) drink and without dessert.

Overcooked pasta despite waiting 1 hour for our meal. The lateness of the meal was not communicated and when asked about why it was taking so long they ignored us and avoided us. One of the friends we were with said this has happened to them before, where the restaurant forgot about their meal. Unfortunately it seemed like it happened again but for our entire group (5 people) without communication. The communication could be improved instead of ignored.

Small but nice restaurant with an atmospheric terrace. Unfortunately, we had to wait an incredibly long time (2 hours!) for our food. A missed opportunity by the staff for not communicating about this at all. Taking orders for a new round of drinks also failed to happen. A pity; we would have liked to leave the terrace with a more positive feeling, because the food was okay. For us, that’s enough with Bar Pasta for now.

Nicely reserved… Unfortunately, after 20 minutes, no one at the table. No menu, no water, and certainly no order. We just left. We had expected better.

My go-to spot for years whenever I'm in Nijmegen. The pasta is well-seasoned and cooked just right. Had a delicious meal.

A wonderful time, learned a lot, and we had a TOP instructor with passion. Pleasant to be around, I felt almost at home in the kitchen. Had a fun, enjoyable, and educational evening.

Great food, fresh and delicious

Bar Pasta is a small Italian restaurant in every sense of the word! It's housed in a small building, meaning you sit very close to the table next to you. Cozy, but especially cramped for taller people. It does have a very atmospheric decor, though! The menu is also small, but enjoyable. Not a huge selection, but plenty of tasty options. The portions aren't particularly large, so I definitely recommend ordering some antipasto and/or a dolci afterward. We both had a pasta dish and shared a cheese board afterward. The only thing that wasn't small about Bar Pasta: the prices. The food was tasty, but not particularly special or abundant, so for me it was a bit on the pricey side. But perhaps that's just the current market price, given the crazy inflation... They also offer fantastic workshops to learn how to make pasta! Marta gave us great instruction, and we had a fantastic evening. I highly recommend the pasta workshop to everyone!

A really great place! I can now say it's my go-to place in Nijmegen when I want a nice, delicious meal!

We were able to arrive at 7 p.m. It was very busy, but the atmosphere was pleasant and delicious.

A very cozy and atmospheric restaurant. However, the portions, except for the pasta, are really quite small. This applies to the starters, main courses, and desserts. Considering the price, it could be larger and more elaborate.

It was very pleasant, but despite a reservation, there was only room for us on the covered outdoor terrace (February). So we ate with our coats on. The cold and drafty atmosphere. Fortunately, the good food and friendly service compensated.

Lovely atmosphere, delicious pasta, and especially a delightful dessert with a Vin Santo and a delicious decaf cappuccino. Friendly service; we'd definitely go back!

The pasta wasn't all that special for the price. We were given a seat at the bar, even though we would have preferred a table.

We had a delicious meal. It's just a shame that when we tried to order a cappuccino at 10 past 10, the machine had already been cleaned, so we didn't get one. It's a shame we weren't asked if we wanted to order another coffee before the machine was cleaned.

Main course: linguine with clams, delicious with lots of garlic, oil, and parsley. Insalata mista for two, excellent. My boyfriend had the menu of the day, which I understand was also delicious. Dessert: espresso with tiramisu. However, I don't think there were any ladyfingers soaked in amaretto in the tiramisu; the abundant mascarpone made the dessert very heavy, especially after a large plate of pasta. But we'll be back, because it's close by, the service is pleasant, and it's delicious. And then we immediately check the menu to see if all wine is that expensive these days; we only discovered the price on the receipt afterward 😉 We had made a reservation inside, but it turned out to be warm enough to sit on the terrace, and there was still room there. Tip: Mark meat, fish, vegetarian, and vegan dishes as such on the menu. We even had to look up "linguine." Maybe that's the point?

We came here on a Wine and Spice walk. It's a charming place and the ravioli paired well with wine.

The food was delicious. Eating on the terrace on a beautiful late summer evening was fantastic. It felt like a vacation. The only downside was that the staff expected three of us to sit at one small table. Far too cramped. We were assertive enough to request two tables anyway.

Super nice location and very friendly staff

Fantastic place that could be so much more than it is now. Last Sunday, the two of us made a reservation here for what we thought would be a cozy and romantic dinner. The terrace was completely empty, and without prior consultation, we were placed between two tables of two. We were practically sitting on each other's laps. The best thing to do here is just walk in, because apparently, that way you get the best table. Reservations don't. Even less positive about the food. Everything was gone, and then I had to struggle to order ravioli. Albert Heijn is even better. The ravioli was swimming in olive oil, and after just three pieces, I felt sick. I paid quickly and spent €55 for two plates of ravioli and two drinks. They'll never see me again. Such a shame.

Overall, it was okay, but the food was simply not good. First, it took quite a while to get served and later to get our food. Then, the wrong pasta was made for me. When I finally got my own pasta (one that said it came with a paprika cream), it was a huge disappointment. There were only tiny pieces of paprika, absolutely no cream; not even a sauce... and the pasta had been cooked far too long (almost mush). After adding some tomato sauce from someone else at my table (who had far too much sauce on their pasta), it was still edible. Furthermore, the prices are relatively high compared to other restaurants in Nijmegen that serve much better quality dishes. The staff resolved this with a 10% discount on the pasta, which was kind, but of course had minimal impact on the price and the overall experience. I'm afraid I won't be returning anytime soon.

Friendly and pleasant service, the food was rather bland (the gamba pasta tasted bland, there was a lot of pasta, almost no sauce, which also had little flavor). The food was great, but the service was mediocre.

Two courses and three drinks per person for less than €50, so the prices are excellent. The ravioli was mediocre in both quantity and quality, but afterward, I did have a delicious limoncello tiramisu. Unfortunately, I often had to wait a long time and had stomach problems the rest of the evening, so I wouldn't recommend it.

The pastas are excellent; cooked al dente, Italian-style, and everything is freshly prepared. The desserts are okay but not spectacular, and the service is just as good.

A must-try. Italian pasta the way it should be. Perfect. We had such a great time. Excellent service. Some well-intentioned advice: Amsterdam beer ('t IJ) from a can is just a tad pricey. The restrooms need updating. Highly recommended for everyone. Simply: DO IT.

Pasta was overcooked! You have a restaurant that specializes in pasta and serve overcooked pasta! Unacceptable! Will not return!

The atmosphere was good, and I've been here before and have always been very enthusiastic. Unfortunately, the pasta was cold. Even after returning from the kitchen, my own plate was returned with cold pasta again. For this price, this shouldn't happen...sorry!

I chose to celebrate my birthday with my family at your place, but unfortunately my choice did not meet my expectations. We arrived at 6:00 PM, but the wait was very long. The starters arrived after 40 minutes and the pasta was served after an hour and a half, while the restaurant was not even fully occupied. The pasta I chose was very disappointing to me - it had almost no taste. Of course, I appreciate that the staff responded kindly to my feedback and offered to order something else, but we did not have time for that, since we were with a small child. Unfortunately, I will not give a second chance and I will not recommend this restaurant to my friends. I am disappointed.

Dear people, clean the cutlery that comes out of the dishwasher and invest in some better napkins.

Amazing little place and amazing food, well priced and the tiramisu is to die for.

Last night I went to an Italian restaurant with two friends. We were seated right away, no cramped chairs but just nice and spacious. The menu had everything: bruschetta with tomato, a creamy truffle pasta and my friend had lasagna. Everything looked good and tasted good too. The staff was relaxed and you never had to wait long. We stayed for a tiramisu and espresso. We had a nice evening.

We had a lovely meal and were able to sit on the terrace.

It took a long time for the food to arrive...we don't have that experience. We had the impression that the kitchen couldn't handle the crowds (a few large groups). Luckily we weren't in a hurry 😊

Atmosphere and service were top notch. We also loved the anti pasta. Unfortunately, we found the pasta vongole a bit disappointing. Pasta itself was not al dente and the rest had a fairly flat taste. Perhaps we were just a bit unlucky. Maybe we'll give it a second chance someday.

When we came in we didn't really feel welcome, because we were not on the reservation list. When it was checked, it was correct. The ingredients and materials were also measured based on the quantities, so there was one machine too few because our registration had not been taken into account.

Order the vongole and thank me later.

The starters were really tasty, there is a nice atmosphere. We only ordered pasta for its shape, perhaps exceptional, but still a shame because we got a completely different one than what was on the menu.

Nice place to visit. We especially loved the Italian specialty plate (the one in picture). But sadly there are not a lot of pasta varieties in the menu, although that was smth we were anticipating.. Service and ambiance were cool tho!

Ik kom hier al jaren, vandaag mijn laatste keer. Wat is dit restaurant in verval geraakt. Hoeveelheid, prijs / kwaliteit van de gerechten is de druppel. Bediening dramatisch met één positieve uitzondering.

I tried to eat here during the 4 days. Way too busy and chaos. Our food was forgotten and the service was poor and incompetent. Considering the other reviews, you certainly don't get your money's worth here. I'll never come here again.

I've been coming here for years, today is my last time. This restaurant has fallen into disrepair. Quantity, price/quality of the dishes is the final straw. Service dramatic with one positive exception.

Nice terrace and it also looks cozy inside. We arrived at a busy time when extra staff had to be called in, service was still reasonably fast and friendly. The food was tasty but not very special. The pasta with pistachio cream looked more like (a lot of) cream sauce with pistachios in it. Too bad that the prices on the site are different than in the store (online it says max. €16 for a pasta, in the store it was €19-26, really a different caliber and on the expensive side for what it was).

We had a delicious meal here. A good, varied menu with delicious options. What was less, we had to wait a long time between each course. The staff was very friendly but not super attentive. It wasn't often that someone came by the table automatically. They were also not well informed about the ingredients used. My pregnant partner got half answers when asked if she could safely eat certain things. We ordered desserts and had to ask twice more where they were. That did detract from the experience. But as mentioned, the food was very tasty!

Waited over half an hour for food and ended up eating about 3 forks of noodles. you ate more sauce than noodles. very disappointed for 22 euros. First and last time, I don’t recommend it!

Service still had a lot to learn, food was just too salty

De locatie is prima. De bediening was goed. Je krijgt niet veel waar voor je geld. Een kleine borrelplank was al 28 euro. Het was lekker maar niet heel speciaal.

At a pasta bar you expect the pasta to be wonderfully fresh. Is otherwise well cared for, delicious wine; good advice. Nice music. Small business, so it gets busy quickly.

The six of us had a nice meal outside in the sun at the picnic table. Very nice place with a small menu, always nice. Delicious wines and be sure to order the scropino for dessert!

Great pasta. No fuss. But pasta. Informal atmosphere, feels like a neighborhood eatery. Curious about summer, eating on the terrace seems like a lot of fun.

After many good stories & ordering here during corona, we are now finally eating in the restaurant. Unfortunately this was disappointing. Tables very close together, very long wait for service. It took 10 minutes for our drink to be served and then we had to wait 75 minutes for our main course. The tables next to us went home because they had to wait so long for the food. During the meal we were not asked if it was to our liking. We went to pay with the dirty plates still on the table, but there was no question whether it was at all satisfactory. Unfortunately not a good experience, and not a second time for us.

Despite the bleak Dutch winter weather, we found our personal piece of Tuscany here. The pasta was delicious, the wines were phenomenal and the espresso-limoncello combo was the icing on the cake. Despite the Christmas crowds, the service was sublime and we were served at our beck and call. Great evening, conclusion: recommended.

Sometimes, just sometimes, you eat somewhere and everything is just right. Excellent food, top service, pleasant atmosphere. Definitely recommended. We will be back.

Wij hebben bij bar Pasta een besloten lunch mogen organiseren. In overleg met Vera en de kokkin/kok een prachtige Pranzo samengesteld en deze heerlijke lunch, inclusief prachtige wijnen,op het mooie terras met familie en vrienden genoten. Gelukkig zat het weer mee en konden de 50 genodigden heerlijk buiten zitten. Informeel maar wel uiterst professioneel. Aanrader als je iets te vieren hebt!!

Heerlijk Italiaans eten voor een prima prijs

Verrast waren we door het heerlijke eten en vriendelijke bediening.

Afgelopen vrijdag diner gehad met een grote groep bij Bar Pasta. Heerlijke tent in het prachtige Nijmegen Oost. Kleinschalig met een sfeervol terras. Persoonlijke bediening die meedenkt. Dik tevreden! Wij komen zeker terug.

Leuk terras en lekkere pasta. Vriendelijke, vlotte bediening die weet wat er geserveerd wordt.

Wat magere spaghetti vongole. Op de kaart wordt die als 'vongole e cozze' aangeduid. Mosselen zijn er nu niet: ik heb niet de indruk dat nu ter compensatie wat meer 'vongole' in het gerecht zittten. Wonderlijk is de aanwezigheid van flintertjes paprika ipv. rode peper zoals dat in Italië over het algemeen geserveerd wordt. Kaas staat als voorgerecht en als nagerecht op de kaart. Prima! Lekkere rode schimmelkaas. Jammer is alleen dat er geen passende wijn op de kaart staat. Aardig personeel!

Erg lekker eten, vriendelijk personeel. De muziek stond een beetje te hard. Later ook opgelost.

Super lekker eten en de bediening was ook erg gezellig, aanrader hoor je kunt alleen niet reserveren en het is niet zo groot, dus je moet een beetje geluk hebben. Overigens met mooi weer is er buiten meer dan genoeg ruimte.

Knus restaurantje. Aardige bediening. Gratis flesje met water die keurig wordt bijgevuld. Best lekkere pasta :) Alleen de muziek stond veelte hard en het was er ijskoud! Stond denk ik geen verwarming aan helaas.
