Bella Marina in De Weteringschans

Spent nearly an hour to get here only to find out it closed down 6 months ago and no one’s updated it :(

This place is closed A waste of time indeed!

*ignore the 1 star rating - couldn’t leave a review otherwise. The restaurant no longer exists; another restaurant located here now called Steampot Amsterdam.

The food is delicious. We ordered grilled fish and steak with salad and potatoes. The staff is helpful, especially the owner of the restaurant and his wife, and they provide advice on meals. I will come back again.

Ate here via social deal, the food was excellent. But we thought waiting a whole hour for a salad as a starter was going too far. We arrived around half past eight and had not finished for 10 hours with only the starter and main course without dessert. Sat for 2.5 hours for something that could have been finished in a MUCH shorter time. We brought dessert with us because we had to leave. We didn't expect to have to sit for sooo long for a simple pizza and simple salad. The rest of the food was delicious, the 2 waitresses were also super sweet, so that was very nice! But not worth it, we wouldn't come back. We thought it was ridiculous.

Unappealing and tasteless food. Service was slow and inattentive. Ate via social deal, it was a good price, but unfortunately that was all.

The high rating doesn’t seem correct. The food taste and quality was not good. Even got sick after eating mushroom soup from here. Environment and service was good but we were the only customer at peak hours.

This restaurant is very warm and welcoming, lovely atmosphere. I came here twice for dinner during my stay in amsterdam. The brushetta was tasty and the mixed grill was well seasoned. The second time I had the grilled lamb chops, which were nicely seasoned. I will definately visit again, when in amsterdam.

Found this restaurant via social deal. We called to see if we could pay in cash and they responded kindly. Very nice and pleasant staff. The food was delicious, we couldn't finish it all, but we were given the leftovers neatly in a box. In the end I even got a shot of limoncello on the house. Very nice restaurant!

The restaurant has a chef who has cooked in Italy for 15 years. The staff are very humble , polite, and serve food with respect and care. The restaurant menu has a nice balance of classic Italian from pasta to pizza, but what really stands out also is their grilled items. I have heard their veal ribs are excellent. The table next to me was devouring a plate of the ribs. I order the spaghetti bolognes and lasagna bolognes. Both dishes, the meat sauce, was made from scratch using good quality tomatoes and not canned tomato paste. The food was sticking to authentic Italian style of cooking and not attempting any fusion flavors. Sticking to basic Italian recipes and executing it right with good quality ingredients. The beef was soft and fresh meat. The tiramusu was excellent. We order two dishes between me and my wife. We both were full. Portion size is good. The restaurant has plenty of seating, and they also have private family rooms upstairs for large gatherings. The location of the restaurant is at a prime location with a lot of entertainment around. I have only eaten here once. But I will definitely return to this restaurant every time I visit Amsterdam. On my next visit, I will order one pizza and a grill item. The pizza looked clean fresh simple and made from scratch. I wish the team more success. Great job so far. Please keep up the good work.

Be careful if you come using the fork here, it is a scam. Read below. I am writing to bring to your attention an extremely disappointing and concerning experience my party and I recently had while using The Fork app at Bella Marina. Upon browsing through The Fork app, we were enticed by an advertised 50% discount on the regular prices at Bella Marina. Excited about the prospect of enjoying a meal at a discounted rate, we promptly made a reservation and headed to the restaurant. However, upon arrival and inquiring about the discounted prices, we were shocked to discover that the prices displayed on The Fork app were exorbitantly inflated, exactly double the regular prices advertised elsewhere. The staff at Bella Marina insisted that we rely solely on the prices listed on The Fork app, effectively denying us the opportunity to verify the authenticity of the purported discount. This blatant discrepancy between the advertised discount and the actual pricing at Bella Marina constitutes false advertising and a clear attempt to deceive customers. It is evident that Bella Marina is engaging in deceptive practices to lure customers under false pretenses.

visited here for dinner when in amsterdam . We decided to come in because of the low prices on the outdoor menu. the food was amazing and very affordable considering we were in the center of amsterdam. Spent £15pp and ordered the best bruschetta i’ve ever eaten alongside a delicious creamy and flavoursome carbonara and a pepperoni pizza (only €11!) This place didn’t not disappoint would love to return if we ever come back. Great service too, with lovely staff !

Ate a 3-course menu via Social Deal (€17.50) for 2 people. Starter: a mixed salad & tomato soup. Main course a pepperoni pizza and spaghetti carbonara and for dessert a banana split and dame blanche. Being able to sit outside and enjoy a delicious meal in the sunny weather. Everything was just excellent. Highly recommended! Update: January 27, 2024 again and still fine. Sat inside this time.

We went on a very cold January Monday and were the only ones in the restaurant when we arrived. The food was DIVINE! Big lovely chunks of artichoke on my veggie pizza and my husband said his seafood risotto was the best he'd ever had. To drink, I had a watermelon juice and it was perfect. The staff were lovely - friendly and chatty. Would recommend!

Had dinner with 2 people via social deal. Food was downright good. Starter, main course and dessert for a competitive price. Service was good but not special. Atmosphere can still be improved a lot. Tables are far too close together, so you literally look at strangers' plates and can hear everything they say. While there was plenty of room at empty tables, there were larger tables. Too bad we have a stapler there (tables are empty all evening).

Great restaurant overall, the servers were nice, we were treated very well and the pizza was great. The prices are as good as you can get for Amsterdam, though the price of the drinks is a bit exaggerated

The food was so so. The ribs tasted like Lidl ribs have been cooked on a grill. Lacking seasoning. Also portion seemed small for the large ribs, as small mixed grill had way more meat. The chips and salad were fine. The beer sizes also questionable as Large being 0.5L for 7eur. Also this is not really Italian place.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by pure chance & very glad that we did! ^_^ We ordered 3 items: Penne al Pollo e Zucchini (#49), Risotto alla Marinara (#58) & Costine di Maiale (AKA Spare-Ribs #27). All the items were delicious, not too greasy or dry. And on top of all…everything was Halal! All the stuff were super friendly and attractive. Restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. Highly recommended this place!

On a mangé 2 fois durant notre séjour à Amsterdam. Les personnels sont très accueillants et l’ambiance est très bonne. Les plats sont délicieux avec une variété de choix et des prix pas chers en comparables avec les autres restaurants.

One of the hidden gems in Amsterdam. Best Italian food ever .The food quality and services are top-class. You should try it once. The staff is super super nice and friendly .They take care of every order right and don’t let you wait any longer. I totally recommend it!

Overall it was great. The staff and the service was great. The guy was very friendly. The food was good too. There were not many halal food there but this one was. Although it would be good if they put halal sign somewhere visible because it is confusing as it is not clear at first sight.

Super vriendelijke bediening!! We hadden na het eten een boottocht gepland en we maakten ons een beetje zorgen over de timing, maar ze hebben echt hun best gedaan om alles zo vlot mogelijk te laten verlopen. Goede prijs-kwaliteit :)

Such a lovely restaurant, food was beautiful, I had the double cheese burger, and the cannelloni with ricotta and spinach. So cheesy, and burger was bangingggg. Service was great too.

Fuimos con la oferta del tenedor, pedimos la carta y no nos la querían dar cosa que me extraño mucho, me dijo que los precios son los que ponían en la aplicación del tenedor, al insistir ya nos dieron la carta y los precios que ponían en el tenedor estaban super inflados con respecto a la carta, al final si nos querían hacer el descuento de la carta real, pero al final nos levantamos y nos fuimos.

Hier op een Vrijdagavond tijdens de Pride week via Social Deal gegeten. Erg druk was het niet. De bediening is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam en spreken geen Nederlands maar proberen dat wel. Het eten is erg lekker en wordt snel maar niet te snel opgediend. De kaart van Social Deal is beperkter dan de gewone menu kaart maar tegen betaling kan je ook gerechten van de kaart nemen dus dat is top. Zo nam ik de carpaccio die erg lekker was. (zat voor mij veelste veel rucola op maar die heb ik aan de kant gelegd) Toiletten via een trap naar de 1e verdieping bereikbaar. Niet zo’n hele steile trap die ik in Amsterdam gewend ben door een tussenplateau dus dat was fijn. Toiletten ook schoon! Voor herhaling vatbaar.
