We had a lovely celebrating our daughter birthday here. Small trattoria with great food, my kids said it was the best bruschetta they ever had . Some went fir pizza, other pasta- all great choices. Service was also very attentive and fast.

Absolutely love this place! The pizza is delicious perfectly crispy crust, generous toppings, and that sauce? Next level. Shoutout to Anton and Nathan for making the experience even better. They were super friendly, knew the menu inside and out, and made some great recommendations. You can tell they care about the food and the customers. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing a slice to go, this spot never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Antonio took incredible care of us—he was warm, welcoming, and impressively efficient managing such a large table without missing a beat. The food was excellent across the board: fresh pasta, crisp and flavorful pizza, and well-balanced sauces. Despite the size of our group, service was fast and friendly, and we never felt rushed. It’s a cozy spot, but it handled our party perfectly. The atmosphere was relaxed and authentic—just what we wanted after a long day of travel. Highly recommend for anyone looking for real Italian food with great service. Ask for Antonio if you can—he truly made our night.

We had a very friendly and wonderful experience at Da Tonino. Our server was also our chef! He did a wonderful job the food was good and although we thought that it may take awhile because we are a big group, our food arrived in 15 minutes! If you are ever walking around in Amsterdam and hungry I would suggest coming into this cozy restaurant

Me and my girlfriend were wondering the streets of Amsterdam starving. We stumbled across this heaven on earth. A cute independent restaurant, was ran by one guy when we went! So the wait for the food was a bit lengthy but I’ve never tasted anything so worth my time. Perfection.

The food you sell is just ridiculous with your prices lasagna one sheet the rest sauce and your cannelloni two pieces and you pay 43 euros for that it is just ridiculous

wat een desillusie zeg. niets Italiaans aan dit restaurant. onbeleefd personeel en onvriendelijk. eten was niet bedorven of rot maar het rook wel zo in het restaurant. ik zou niemand aanraden hier te gaan eten.

the dirtiest pizza place EVER. it stinks when you enter like urine or something. staff is unmotivated and barely speaks Dutch (they are not even Italian btw) pizza was limp and tasteless, coke had no fizz and everything is sticky from the dirt. i seriously do not understand why the NVWA does not close this hut.

Hello, it's me again - your trusted restaurant tester. And what I experienced here was once again a highlight of culinary disappointment. The menu reads like a freezer treasure trove: fish and chips next to burgers, plus pizza with a film of oil that could easily pass for motor oil. Taste-wise? Like a cheese misunderstanding. 30 minutes after eating - diarrhea at the height of the final boss. Thanks for that. The drink? 70% ice cubes, the rest was probably Coke. It was cold, but unfortunately not refreshing - more like a downright cheek. Anyone who eats here either has the courage to have nothing to lose or simply lost a bet. When walking through Amsterdam we stumbled across this little gem of a restaurant. It was quaint and very quirky inside. The waiters and bar staff were friendly. We stopped off here for an early lunch and we wasn't disappointed. The food tasted so good and was very fresh. We ate bruschetta with tomatoes and home made Lasagne with garlic bread. We had a latte and English breakfast tea. I recommend this place to anyone looking for an Italian restaurant to try it out.

Great food and charming place!! We loved it!!

The pizzas were very good, nice and thin, crispy and well topped! The service was also good, fast service, friendly, patient. The only point is that it wasn't that busy now and the person serving at the kitchen was waiting and it felt a bit like he was hearing our entire conversations. I would say try to stay busy or have a nice conversation with the pizza maker. :)

Small restaurant with a great atmosphere. The tables are close together so you sit half on your lap at the next table. That doesn't have to be a problem, but I can imagine that not everyone likes this. As described in other reviews, the waiter starts by asking if you would like bruschetta. We expected a saucer with two pieces, but that turned out to be one starter per person. Bruschetta was very tasty, but for small eaters three pieces per person might be a bit much. Pizza was fine. The dessert, the tiramisu, was a big disappointment: wet ladyfingers covered in a lot of whipped cream with some chocolate sauce. No amaretto and no coffee to be found. I understand that you don't put alcohol in the tiramisu, but you can't call it tiramisu without coffee, right? Drinks are standard large, so if you want a small one you have to say so (I think because we didn't see a drinks menu). We chose this restaurant because of the location, but next time we will walk a little further.

What an experience , the most important aspect was our lovely server who was also cooking also . He accommodated greatly with my friends who had to have a few items substituted . Extremely disappointed. Many things went wrong with the food, we did not get what we ordered and it turned out that the ravioli also contained meat even though we are vegetarian. Many dishes also had to be paid extra without this being stated on the social deal. The worst part was that we had to pay 38.50 for a bottle of wine, while that price was not on the menu. We feel very ripped off.

A comida é boa!! Mas o valor não é o mesmo do cardápio. Na frente tem uma foto de um prato com carne, salada e batata frita por 17,90 euros. Na hora de pagar a conta com 4 pessoas se transformou em 166,00 euros. Uma Heineken 7,50 euros. Muito caro. E não adianta reclamar, a enganação lá é descarada.

Ignora las malas críticas Comida italiana perfecta en un entorno íntimo. Toda la comida hecha en el lugar y recién cocinada por encargo. Nuestro camarero no podría haber sido más atento y se aseguró de que tenía nuestra orden exactamente como queríamos. La comida estaba bien presentada y deliciosa. Arriésgate en un lugar pequeño y no te decepcionará.

when i visited Amsterdam i came across this italian restaurant and everything from the food to the service was absolutely amazing especially the owner he was super nice and i promised him to let him know what i thought about the food it only came to mind now that i have to share this i will always recommend this place to others.

La Piccola Trattoria Da Tonino Is an absolutely fantastic restaurant. It has the best Pizza by far of any other store in Amsterdam and I mean that because I’ve tried them all I thoroughly recommend their signature Pizza “The Amsterdam” I swear it will change your life!!!. The pizza was hot fresh and delicious. The crust was the best I’ve ever tasted. Not too thick not too thin not soggy in the middle. It was absolutely perfect. The service is also Second to none and the chefs are real Italians, which I think makes all the difference I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone run don’t walk to La Piccola Trattoria Da Tonino!!!!! PS, I’m an Australian so You know my review is 100% right on!!!

Was passing by and went into this restaurant and the food is delicious! One of the best places we have eaten in Amsterdam. Very friendly place and Valentino made our time here great!

Aunque la comida no era mala, el servicio es horrendo. El lugar estaba vacío cuando llegamos allí. Debería haber salido cuando tardé 15 minutos en tomar una taza de té. La espera por la comida era aún peor. Casi una hora después del pedido, el chef tuvo que salir a buscar huevos. La mitad de nosotros había terminado nuestras tortillas antes de que apareciera su patético intento de desayuno. No es bueno cuando se puede contar literalmente los frijoles en la olla y 2 salchichas que necesita vasos puestos para ver. Por 14 euros también. Impactantemente mal valor. Aconsejo encarecidamente virar este lugar y elegir uno de los muchos otros restaurantes en la zona. Por mala suerte para nosotros que nos topamos con el lugar.

La presentación de la comida fue buena que es donde paramos. El servicio era deficiente y la camarera incompetente, la orden aunque repetida seguía saliendo incorrecta. La comida estaba fría, faltaban bebidas y hay que tener en cuenta que éramos los únicos clientes a la llegada que tardó más de una hora en obtener el primer desayuno esto consistía en 2 salchichas huevos tocino y frijoles Lo cual era mínimo, podrías contarlos. Conclusión Mal servicio y muy caro las fotos de la comida no es lo que se obtiene. Aléjate y busca otro restaurante

Una sola parola: superlativo! Abbiamo mangiato benissimo, la pasta era buonissima, sembrava di essere esattamente in un ristorante italiano. Eravamo in 7 e tutti siamo stati estremamente soddisfatti. Il locale è piccolo e molto accogliente. Il proprietario è eccezionale, gentilissimo e molto professionale. Consiglio vivamente questo posto!!!

A nice small-scale eatery. However, the pasta was quite tasteless, as was the minced meat in the bolognese sauce. The biggest downside was that after placing our order, the host casually asked us if we 'maybe want something like bruschetta', and then we were served 3 separate plates (at 5.45 euros each). I personally didn't think this way of generating income was very nice. As for the drinks, a large glass is served as standard. Although we were there ourselves and could have made different choices (if we had known the conditions), we still felt a bit screwed. Very unfortunate.

A fuir !!! Pire restaurant d’Amsterdam, lors de l’apéritif le serveur nous a carrément mis le plateau sur la table et à nous de nous servir !! Plus de 30 min pour attendre des plats qui ne sont pas mangeables du tout (poisson pas cuit, viande non plus) !!! Le serveur est un arnaqueur, rajoute 4€ par sauce sur l’addition… très décevant.
