Restaurant Dolce Vita in Burgwallen-Oude Zijde

Disappointed. We went there for dinner with about 20 people. We had reserved the tables but when we came to eat Dolce Vita was closed. Shame.

The staff were polite and approachable, and the cat was adorable and friendly.

Unacceptable, with our friends, we had four hamburgers we received them without sauce without raw vegetables just with a steak in the bread all that for €20 and €4.50 for a small bottle of water you definitely wouldn't go there sure disappointed!!

Beware of rip-offs!!! I was there today with my girlfriend. We were there around 12 p.m. and hadn't eaten anything yet. We looked at the menu outside and were then approached by a man outside who wanted to lure us in. Because we liked the food on the menu, we decided to visit the restaurant. We ordered an omelet, one bruscetta and two lattes. According to the menu we would have had to pay just 20 euros. At the checkout, the man who had spoken to us outside typed 40 euros into his device. About the food: nothing special can be done better at any run-of-the-mill snack bar. Avoid this store...

Achtung !! Abzocke!! Ihr zahlt nicht soviel wie auf der Karte steht. Wir haben ein Omlett, einmal Bruscette und zwei Latte bestellt und hätten laut Speisekarte 22 Euro bezahlen müssen. Der unfreundlich Kellner schrieb dann auf sein EC Kartengerät 40 EUR. Touristen werden dort abgezockt. Also passt auf. Zum Essen....wirklich nicht zu empfehlen.

It was nice food and not too expensive on its own. On its own every add on cost much. They would give us a limoncello to get us inside, and although they did in the end, im not entirely sure they would have if we had said nothing

This place is trash. I dont need to say anything just look at the pictures. Dont let this fool you. The Pizza tasts like cardboard. The burger is made out of minced meat. I dont want to know the origin of the meat. Dont even know if you can still call this "meat".

This burger and my colleagues' pizzas were HORRIBLE. I would have rather shot a pigeon and roasted it than eat that pigeon. The burger was made from minced meat, unseasoned and the pizza tasted like cardboard. I paid extra because they added side items that I didn't want just plain naughty!!

Just keep going and don't let yourself be lured in! Soft drinks are made with too much syrup. The burgers were worse than at McDonalds, the fries were cheap frozen products and unseasoned, and the side salad was served without dressing. Fish and chips is like North Sea. Far too expensive for this snack bar character!

The guy who was welcoming people thought he was funny but doing a very Australian “gidday mate” on my arrival and departure. The fact I’m not Australian doesn’t help. The 2 younger gangsters working behind the counter and throughout the restaurant were useless. No clearing of plates between courses, they were too busy on their phones even though they walked past numerous times. Food was average

Even though me and my women went at 15:30 , we got served really well, the waiter Marco, funny enough had my name, was the best. All n all i advise anyone looking for good food, awsome service and good atmosphere to come here ! I will return for sure in the future !

We spotted here for lunch. I had a burger and my wife had the rump steak. Both were very good. They come with fries and a little salad. My wife didn't want fries so they offered her extra salad. It was a lot of salad! The server was very nice and spoke good English for us. The bathrooms were clean.

The only good thing here was the beer but we waited nearly 10 minutes for that to be served when there was multiple staff watching the football and only 3 other tables occupied. 200g rump was super chewy and an awful cut, salad as you can see was dismal. The pasta was also underwhelming and we could have gotten much better elsewhere for similar price.

The staff is so helpful and not to mention their cuisine is second to none. I really enjoyed the ribs and the sauces it was mouth watering. Im will definitely visit Amsterdam because of this restaurant.

The pizza dough tasted like it was prepackaged. The topping was ok. In my opinion there are better pizzas, frozen pizzas taste better than this. The drink prices on the menu also don't match what you have to pay in the end. There is a waitress at the door trying to attract customers. The staff also sits on their cell phones and listens to music while working. The staff was friendly but a little intrusive. I wouldn't come here again. Afterwards, my companion and I didn't feel well.

Simply rancid. Bad food, bad service and dirt everywhere. There was nothing on the burger except the burnt pettie and the bread was just gross. The food tastes like nothing and everything is unhygienic. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Possibly the worst burger I have ever eaten. Refused to provide a tap water to drink. Avoid this place.

We thought we would have a quick meal, but then you definitely shouldn't be here!!! 🤢🤮 We had chicken schnitzel, pizza margarita and spare ribs. A (dirty, not coke-tasting) cola and orange that you could drink when you were thirsty. I've honestly never had such bad food when I've eaten out. After they brought the food they didn't come to the table again. When I walked to the bar for the bill and indicated that it was not tasty. It was said that's a shame, hopefully better next time. (The food just looked like cheap food that you heat up. And then I think I do it even better at home. When I went to the toilet it was clear to me that it wasn't just me who had thought that way. The spit-out food was in the toilet bowl) Ps the spareribs were good. Very overcooked. But they will never see me again.

Honestly when it comes to burgers the food is a joke. You are better off going to McDonald’s if burgers is what you are looking for. So the “burger” is two buns with a very questionably tasting patty in the middle, mine was not cooked very well so I didn’t eat all of it. The sides are some prefried potatoes from the supermarket, with zero resemblance to the ones you can buy from most snack spots in Amsterdam. Alongside the potatoes comes a piece of tomato, a piece of cucumber and some lettuce. It’s a scam. We paid 15,50€ for ts.

I was coming from Italy and I was looking for a restaurant with Italian cuisine and I found this restaurant, I was afraid that the pizza wasn't good, but when I found it I was amazed because I always eat it in Naples. Really, very good. Also the focaccia is very nice and the service is excellent and of the highest level. It really deserves five stars 🫡 ❤️🙏

The food was perfect I had a mix grill the meat was perfectly cooked to my taste it was so much that I got the rest to take home it was prepared quickly but carefully so highly recommended

I had dinner twice at this restaurant, which was next to my hotel. I simply tasted the best garlic and oil pasta of my life for an unbelievable €6. Highlight the service: very friendly and receptive. I would like to take this opportunity to send a big hug to the man who waited on me that night, I think he must be the owner, very polite and charismatic! Congratulations!!

This place was really bad. Fake Italian restaurant. You won't get real italian food here, avoid this place. Servers are really weird people. Always in a hurry or not caring at all and rather sitting down and watching football match that was blasting behind our backs.

Paid €14.5 for a Diavola pizza…. the diavola was no longer like a margarita with 2 slices of salami. The hot sauce was anything but hot…. once and never again!

Pure scam, really run away. The completely average one liter water bottle is 8th? Seriously ? We were looking for an inexpensive place to eat. We are served an incomplete menu, so we have to show them that we want the hamburgers from the front. The meal was good and complete. The atmosphere was completely tense: I went to make a call outside and one of the staff members asked me what I was doing? I was watched by the others. For my friend it was the same. So really not reassuring. When you go to checkout, the bill is higher than expected: almost 10th per bottle, even Paris wouldn't have dared. In addition to the staff on our shores, I can say that it was the worst place of my entire trip. I hope no one gets scammed like this again.

Italian Restaurant with not one Italian member of staff, €5.75 for a coke. Starters okay but mains were inedible. €17 for a some form of meat between a soggy bun. To have Cheese and Bacon on burger €1.75 each, staff not attentive at all only interested in taking our money. Only positive was the nice view of the canal. Tourists avoid at all costs!

As a tourist, stay away. Poor food for any price. Service was okay which is the only good part of this. Very questionable "angus" burger. Starters were okay but mains were very poor.

The soup was salty and the fish and chips were nothing exceptional.

Me and my family of about 15 came here to eat and i have to say we had such an AMAZING experience here, the staff was extremely friendly, patient and really catered to our large group. They even went the extra mile and had our uncle try to spin a pizza dough in air which was hilarious to watch, The entire staff was just so friendly and passionate that we couldn't help but enjoy our time there. I had the risotto which i found delicious, Would recommend and come again 🥰🙌🏼
