Benteng Indonesische Delicatessen in Museumkwartier

As per 2 January 2026 approximately 6 PM, none picked up the phone number registered so don't know the restaurant quality yet. I tried to call to ask whether we need to book or not. Hence why the 3 stars with good will. If I can go there to confirm then will revise.

She kept telling us to take less because it would be too much. It turned out to be too little. Otherwise, the taste wasn't anything special.

Help! It's so delicious! I declare that Indonesian food in the Netherlands surpasses Surinamese food and is my number one choice. The coconut beef in this restaurant is so authentic. The guys at the front desk were very friendly. I paid in cash.

Had a delicious meal, which I was able to put together myself and was helped by a very nice lady.

Super yummy food, you can costumize it to your taste. You choose a basis food like Bami Goreng ( egg noodles and rice noodels) or Nasi Goreng or plain Rice, then you have many Veggies to choose from ( We recommend to try the coconut bean one) and then you can add a egg if you like. You also can choose one of the various types of meat they have. We took our food to the Vondelpark and enjoyed it on a bench in the park. We highly recommend to eat there, good quality and quantity of the food for the price.

The portion was more than decent and the food was prepared with dedication and care. I’ll come again. Some people in the reviews criticised that the atmosphere is not very cozy to dine in, but I actually liked that! Cos, It felt like being part of the city. I absolutely adored eating here! 💛

The food was looking good from a distance. Sticky table if you want to eat inside and only 10 minutes time to eat. Food was way too sweet, tried the sweet ck but was way too sweet, the noddles were ok but the rice was bad and dry. Meat looks way too brown without any type of seasoning or anything on it. I would not eat here again ever.

If you want to taste real Indonesian cuisine and enjoy it in your own environment, this is the place to go. Dishes as they should be in terms of taste.

When I got home, 1 whole container of nasi rames special was missing. Called, delivery was not an option. So we drove all the way back from the other side of town to pick it up. Half of the food was now cold, but I also had to pay €4 because they had forgotten something. These people really didn't understand. Never again for us! Bad service. Food also has one and the same taste

Very good Indonesian restaurant, we find the flavors of the country. You have to choose a base (rice/noodles), vegetables then proteins (chicken/beef, etc.). Vegetarian dish possible. Very good quality/quantity price ratio.

We had a great take out meal here while travelling to Amsterdam. Very reasonably priced and lots of options for you to pick. We sampled roughly 15 different dishes in a boxed pack and spent €50 for 5 people. Highly recommend!

A small snack. But VERY DELICIOUS! It's always fascinating how many magical spices are used in Indonesian dishes.

The food are extremely salty and very small portion for the price. The food were placed in plastic containers then heated up in the microwave. The containers came out deformed because of the heat; not a good practice.

Great Indonesian restaurant. Mainly take-away, but you can eat your meal at the bar if you like. Tasty food for a reasonable price. Good with gluten free options (knowledgeable and trustworthy).

Benteng means fortress, and indeed it serves tasty food. You can buy dishes here and construct your own rijstafel at home, or go for a picnic at nearby Vondelpark.

Persoonlijk vind ik het niet voor herhaling vastbaar. Rendang en ook de komkommerzuur veel te zoet en ipv sambal zoete loempiasaus.

Really good food. They have 3 options for platters: 1) Rames: base of rice of noodle, 2 vegetables, 1 protein and boiled egg 2) Rames Vegetarian: base, 4 vegetables. 3) Special: like 1 with one more protein They are mostly for take out, but there are few standing places inside.

Amazing family run Warung with authentic Indo delicacies. The satay is addictively good

After a long time we went back to this local Indonesian take away. We never really liked it, but we want to give it another try. The food looks simply like it has been defrosted and looos very unpleasing. The chicken sate are way too sweet and very rubbery, the broccoli was not fresh and had even some dark yellow and brown spots (!). And even the noodles were very dry and tasteless. All in all I would not recommend this place. Luckily there are many other great Indo take away spots.

Lecker und ziemlich günstig. Das Gado Gado war aber etwas fad und es gibt keine Möglichkeit, vor Ort zu essen. Alles in allem aber gut.

I have been so many Indonesia restaurants outside the country. But this probably one of the amazing one so far. I like how the way foods were displayed. All the food looks yummy and tasty indeed. I trued nasi kuning aka yellwo rice combined with tempeh, 2 veggies and beef semur. Taste just incredible and so tasty. Very worth of money and also worth to visit while finding something authentic food. The staffs who took my ordered just so freindly and nice as well. If i got 6 stars i will be happy to give them

Vimos este lugar llamado Benteng en los mapas de Goolge que salen del museo cercano y simplemente caminamos hasta allí para ver su menú. Resultó ser un lugar para llevar con una buena selección de platos indonesios. Acabamos de ordenar una selección de platos con arroz en los recipientes para llevar que se calentaron y tenían la comida allí, sentados en una mesa pequeña que dijeron que podíamos usar. Aparentemente, el lugar solo tenía una licencia para operar como comida para llevar, así que fue bueno que pudiéramos tener nuestra comida allí en lugar de en la habitación del hotel. La comida era buena por cierto.
