Delicious food! 100% would eat here again! The owner is so kind and friendly and very accomodating. As an Indonesian tourist, this restaurant felt just like home - very authentic!

Fantastic Indonesian restaurant. Friendly and efficient service, and of course, delicious food. The menu includes rice tables, as well as rames (a rice table for one person). You can also order everything à la carte. All at very reasonable prices. If you want truly authentic Indonesian food, this is the place to be! We'll definitely be back.

Very positive experience 🙏 The service is welcoming and very customer oriented. It's a family restaurant and you feel it and taste it. We had the rice plate for two persons, a juice, 2 beer and shots for 98€ 👍 The food is very rich and tasty. We got the plate about 30 min after order even the restaurant was full. Have a reservation as they do not have a lot of tables. Very clear place and NO smell as one of the former reviews stated 🤔

A great restaurant! Everyone is very friendly, fast, and accommodating. The prices are higher, but that's the case everywhere in Amsterdam these days... I ordered the ayam rujak with fried rice. The food was truly exceptional! Definitely recommend it! I'll definitely come back!

This is a tourist rip-off. The portions are incredibly small, and the cost for two of us was around 80 euros! They also forced us to pay a 10% service charge! Even more shocking, we discovered that the meal we ordered for two was practically indistinguishable from the one someone else ordered. I have no idea how Google reviews are manipulated, and I have no idea how a restaurant like this can continue to operate!

As a visitor to this city, I left this restaurant with a very bad impression. The main issue is that the food quality and portion sizes do not justify the extremely high prices. For two people, we paid around 80 euros, yet the amount of food was very limited. Even a large bottle of water cost 9.50 euros! On top of that, a 10% service fee was automatically added, which felt unfair given the overall experience. I couldn’t believe that after spending so much money, I still had to buy more food (like bread) afterward because I am still hungry. I’m honestly confused by the positive reviews—was the service different because I’m Asian? The whole experience felt overpriced and underwhelming. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for good value.

I had a great experience here with the rice table dinner. All of the ingredients were great. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff are extremely friendly. I really enjoyed the rice and chicken satay. The restaurant is truly authentic Indonesian cuisine. I would definitely return and eat here again.

Ate here with a friend. Upon entering there was a nasty sewer-like smell in the restaurant. The place was almost empty. The food was okay but the service was substandard. We really felt like we had to leave as quickly as possible after the meal. despite the fact that there were two other guests present. After a while we were asked to leave in a very unpleasant way because new guests arrived. At checkout we asked for a tip. Hospitality is hard to find here. even the incoming guests found it annoying.

Mi marido y yo reservamos una mesa aquí durante nuestro fin de semana en Amsterdam. Siempre nos encanta comer indonesia cuando estamos en los Países Bajos. Nos gustó encontrar un gran y acogedor servicio, parecía que el camarero jefe realmente se preocupaba por los clientes. Pedimos una mesa de arroz, y fue una gran elección. Soy un amante de la comida y puede ser difícil de complacer. Nuestra mesa de arroz constaba de unos 14 platos separados, cada uno maravilloso por su cuenta y muy bien equilibrado entre sí. Muy sabroso y apetitoso! ¡Grandes sabores! Hubo atención a los detalles, tanto en la comida, como en el servicio. Había mucha comida, y algo sobrante, diría que justo. También nos ofrecieron más del plato que más nos gustó, pero rechazamos ya que estábamos satisfechos. Si debo decir algo... es que la iluminación debe cambiarse... ya que el ambiente sufrió debido a la luz blanca, demasiado brillante. Si esto hubiera sido mejor entonces habría dado 5 estrellas.

Indonesian restaurant in the city of Amsterdam. It is in a strategic location, thought to be Amsterdam, which is very easy to find. Serving a menu of Indonesian dishes that are quite delicious, typical of Indonesian flavors with complete menu choices. Package portions are available which are suitable for eating with 4 to 6 friends. The choice of drinks is also quite complete. With quite friendly service and of course meeting lots of Indonesian people, you really feel the Indonesian feel. Good luck trying...

Food was tasty but cold (vegetarian rames). It took such a long time before our food was served after the dishes were ready and waiting on the counter. Before everything was brought to the table, it stood next to the kitchen for a couple of minutes, then the lady took her time for organising the bowls on a portable stove (rechaud) and placing spoons in them. In the meantime some guests entered the restaurant and she brought them to the tables before bringing our food, so no wonder it was cold before we got it. Very disappointing. If the service was a bit more professional and faster the whole experience would be more pleasant. I’m not coming back here.

It’s a small cozy place. We ordered sate rijsttafels (ricetables) for 2 people for dinner and it’s a perfect amount of food for us. Food is yummy so I would recommend to give it a try if you are in the areas.

Zeer teleurstellende ervaring opgedaan door inferieure maaltijd voor een veel te hoge prijs. Het zeer basic ingerichte, sobere restaurant leek bij binnenkomst een voordeel te hebben: je kon er elkaar verstaan. We bestelden ruim, voor 3 personen 3x een rijsttafel (enig verschil in aanbod). Alles bleek bij presentatie samengevoegd. We waren verbaasd over de zeer geringe portie per gerechtje. De kwaliteit was onder de maat: alle groenten smaakten hetzelfde (4 soorten) en de sperzieboontjes waren taai. De vlees gerechten: taai of bedolven onder overdaad aan pindasaus, veelal met kokos afgemaakt. De vegetarische varianten smaakten naar niets, hoogstens naar de kool waarmee het werd opgediend. Taaie kroepoek. Zwart gekookte eieren in een, jawel, kokossausje. Hoe kun je het uitserveren. Onze kritiek en teleurstelling kenbaar gemaakt. Of we een kopje koffie wilden. We hebben het volle pond betaald en zijn teleurgesteld vertrokken. Het gesprek ging helaas over slecht eten.

Food was great, but: 1) our reservation for 5 people was at 7:30 and we weren’t seated until after 7:45 - since the place is so small we had to stand outside in the cold rain 2) it took a while to place an order (rijsttafel) and it didn’t actually come until after 9pm - a full 1.5 hours after our reservation. I even had to go downstairs to ask what was going on… If the service had been faster and more organized, I would have happily given them 5 stars.

Such a great experience, me with my other 7 Indonesian friends went in for a dinner. The owner & waiters are very welcoming. Would recommend others to go here and we would like to go back here again.

Leuk Indonesisch restaurant met goede rijsttafel voor mooie prijs. Porties zijn ruim genoeg en je krijgt veel verschillende gerechten. Bediening is niet erg snel, maar wel aardig en attent.

well, we were looking for some Indonesian food to eat before 17:00 …. not so easy to find a place. So we picked Soenda Kelapa. Wham - what a nice surprise, hand/homemade Krupuk with a special dip as a starter, followed by a 12 dish rice plate - so many different tastes, so nicely presented and explained. We‘ll come back, for sure!👍

Best meal of our trip! Had the Rijsttafel, which was outstanding. Great to try a wide (very wide!) variety of dishes, all were flavorful and delicious. Service was incredible, they took the time to explain recipes for our favorite dishes. Highly recommend!

We saw some of the other dishes arrive for other diners and they looked great too. Could not fault the food or service. Will definitely come back when visiting Amsterdam.

Le plat de légumes à la sauce épicée aux arachides était froid et pas très épicé. Je n'ai pas osé demander si c'était une erreur que ce soir froid, puisqu'il était servi sur une plaque chauffante alors j'ai eu un doute. Mais bon... Si c'est supposé être un plat froid, c'est une bonne idée de l'indiquer dans le menu! Le plat était bon, aurait été probablement meilleur chaud et n'était pas du tout épicé. Le plat de poulet à la sauce épicée sucrée était bon mais très loin de valoir le prix de 22 euros. À 22€, on s'attendrait à avoir au moins du riz inclus et bien non 😂 Un petit plat avec quelques morceaux de poulet et de la sauce. Le riz frit était bon et était plus épicé que le plat de légumes qui pourtant avait la mention épicée. C'était définitivement le meilleur rapport qualité-prix du repas haha Le service était bon, mais on nous a obligés à payer en comptant, disons que ce n'était pas prévu. Nous n'avons pas pris beaucoup de monnaie locale avant de venir ici et normalement dans ce type de resto les cartes de crédit sont acceptées. Par chance il nous restait encore suffisamment d'argent 😅

Koningsdag hier buiten poging gedaan om sate en loempia te halen. Uiteindelijk gelukt. Sate was koud en de loempias nog bevroren. 😐. Jammer,want ik denk dat je hier best aardig kan eten.

We ordered the rice table for 4 people and the staff was kind enough to accomodate all dietary restrictions as well as ensure that there's enough variety for everyone. We really enjoyed this experience. This restaurant offered nearly the entire menu gluten free (she said she could adjust anything accordingly). We had attempted to dine at two other Indonesian restaurants before this one, and they couldn’t offer gluten free options. We let her chose our banquet options and I’m glad we did, as it was so delicious and varied; beef randang, satay chicken, green bean dish, eggplant/aubergine dish, coconut tofu dish and more. We also had a soup starter that she made gluten free too. All the staff were smiling and friendly. The owner was amazing to accommodate to my gluten free needs. My partner also ate the gf meal with me and enjoyed it immensely. It was our first ever Indonesian cuisine experience and we’ll definitely do it again! So much value for money too. Basically rolled home we ate so much! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Absolutely lovely family that owns the shop! There are lots of interesting small dishes that enjoyable to combine and arrange, served very meaningfully and with care. Excellent courses of meals, especially the chocolate and cinnamon lapis legit spekkoek. The owner was wonderful to talk to, I even got a great recipe for sambel here, fully recommended.

Out of this world, the best meal I’ve had in a very long time. The restaurant is beautiful and quaint and the staff is so lovely. We met the owner and she is the biggest sweetheart. Her hospitality and warmth made us feel right at home. As for the food, you feel as though you are eating grandmas exotic cooking. We ordered the vegetarian dishes and mackerel. I’m still dreaming about this food!

De smaak was goed alleen was het eten lauw en dat met koude borden zorgt voor een koude hap eten. Erg jammer dat ze daar niet meer aandacht voor hebben. De warmhoud plaat op tafel is onvoldoende.

Klein lief indonesisch restaurantje, waar je goed eet. Het eten wordt gekookt en geserveerd door indonesiërs. Dat proef je. Niet duur.

The food here is absolutely delicious! However, for the price of the dishes, the portion sizes are far too small; we left hungry and feeling like we had been taken advantage of. ( The photos others have posted are quite deceiving as the portions are not that large) They also forgot multiple items in our order as well as everyone else who was dining in. I'd like to recommend this restaurant because it truly was that yummy, but for the price, I unfortunately wouldn't recommend.

Perfect! Ik verdraag gluten slecht, heb alles opgegeten (omdat het zo lekker was!) en heb nergens last van gekregen, zelfs niet van de soja-saus. Meteen mijn vaste adres. Vriendelijke eigenaren ook, eerlijk zaakje.

Delicious food but you cannot use Visa and Mastercard (neither debit, nor credit cards), and they do not let you know about this before you sit down and place your order. If a place in central Amsterdam and in the 21st century, especially after two years of Covid restrictions, still does not accept the two most widely used cards, maybe they should close their business.
