SUPER DELICIOUS FOOD, we were there two days in a row. Definitely not the last time 👍👍👍

We people-watched on the terrace and enjoyed a truly delicious meal. The service was also pleasant and efficient!

We sat here on the terrace late in the afternoon, enjoying a drink and a delicious meal. We had a delicious pasta dish and a tender beef tenderloin. Highly recommended!

We had high hopes for this place based on the positive reviews but we're hugely disappointed. Only the coffee was enjoyable. We had a Caesar salad and a club sandwich. The salad contained an unnecessarily huge number of bacon slices, the chicken was the sliced type (impossible to tell that it was chicken), and the dressing was probably based on mayonnaise but nowhere near what a Caesar dressing is supposed to be. The club was on par with the salad: no taste, same chicken, and nachos as a side! (I think you could add real fries and not out of a bag nachos). The waiter was extremely nice which eased up the pain of eating this meal.

What a pleasant surprise! We've often walked past it, but finally dined in with three people. It's a top-notch restaurant and the best ribeye I've ever had. Kudos to the chef(s) and staff, we'll definitely be back, 110% satisfied.

Afgelopen zaterdag met 4 vrienden heerlijk gegeten BIJ Meta in Hoorn. Een vriend had een rolstoel mee en hier werd helemaal niet moeilijk om gedaan, zelfs een mooi plekje gekregen. De bediening, van vooral jong personeel, was uitstekend, voelde onze humor aan en deden er zelf ook aan mee!! Het eten was lekker en zeer mooi opgediend. Tja uiteten is niet meer goedkoop en dit weet je, toch doet zo’n bon altijd weer ff pijn. Heel vriendelijk kregen we op het einde nog een rondje drinken van het huis 👌 Zeker een aanrader om hier te eten waar nog service wordt geboden!!

Na een bezoek aan het Westfries museum met twee vriendinnen, heerlijk geluncht Bij Meta. We werden erg vriendelijk ontvangen door hele lieve mensen. Mijn vriendin, de Caesar salad expert, koos natuurlijk de Caesar salad. Een forse portie. Zij kreeg er extra (van die lekker knapperige) toast bij aangeboden. Deze salade geeft ze een plaats in haar top 3. Mijn andere vriendin en ik maakte een keuze uit de voorgerechten van de dinerkaart. De paling met brioche en de burrata met gemarineerde paddenstoeltjes en groene boontjes waren prachtig opgemaakt en smaakten net zo verrukkelijk! Bij Meta is een echte aanrader. Klasse!

We started with a starter tasting, a tasting of several very tasty starters from the menu. Then main courses tasting from the Josper grill, deliciously tender and tasty meat. Highly recommended. To top it off, a dessert of "Mille-feuille", also a good tasty ending. Staff also very friendly and competent.

Went with a large group, had a delicious meal for 1100 euros, but there was no round of business at the end. Gave a big tip but wouldn't have done that if I had known. Shame!

Food is okay. The red mullet was a very small piece. The amount of Dutch shrimps there, on the other hand, was beyond expectations. The fries were a bit too hard for my taste. The steak tartare was okay, but certainly not special. The salad was tasteless. This is the third time I have eaten here, but I will certainly not choose this restaurant for more intimate company. Very noisy chicken coop due to the many groups that are often there. It would be nice if there were more limits on this (on the number of large groups) and something could be done with the acoustics.

The whole experience was very nice. The woman that served me was super nice, she helped me even with the door as I had luggage, and the rest of the night she was super friendly! The food was delicious. Atmosphere it’s nice as well. Worth a try if you like steaks and burgers!

De Tournedos waren op en de laatste was als een doorbakken voetzool . De zalm kon nog bijna zwemmen en was rauw en smakeloos.

Spare ribs, chicken satay and fries were really fantastic. The coffee was good too. All that for an amount of €70 When I got home, I looked at the bill and discovered that I had been charged for 2 tiny (1cm) chocolates at €2.00 each with the coffee. Yes, that really turns me off. You really can't do this It's the little things that matter or don't matter.??

Good reception and friendly staff. Quite noisy because it was full. Starter tasting for 2 was delicious. Main course spicy spare ribs were wonderfully tender and a large portion. The chicken satay was tasty, but it was a shame that the satay sauce was over the chicken satay instead of next to it. Leaving the restaurant with a headache due to all the stimuli. You're sitting quite close together. Two bowls of fries is a bit sparse for seven people if fries are included with every main course. It was fun with the company. The food itself was absolutely good and tasty, although portions were a bit small.

Super Service, gemütliche Atmosphäre und sehr leckeres Essen. Wir wurden herzlich Willkommen und haben ohne Reservierung einen Platz bekommen. Das Essen kam zügig - alles in allem ein empfehlenswertes Restaurant - super Spareribs!

Had dinner at Meta's tonight. Nice atmosphere, good service and very tasty food. One of the better restaurants in Hoorn. Highly recommended!

Sandwiches were so sparsely filled that we complained about this. Received some extra toppings for which the bill was heavily charged. There was no garnish on the sandwiches. The price was 16 euros for a simple baguette. The soft drink (3.10) turned out to be a mini bottle of an unknown brand. Score: 52 euros for 3 pathetic baguettes, 2 soft drinks and 1 coffee. We do not recommend this restaurant because of pure scam.

Broodjes waren zo karig belegd dat wij hierover reclameerden. Kregen wat extra beleg waarvoor op de rekening flink werd doorberekend. Er zat geen garnituur op de broodjes. De prijs was 16 euro voor een simpel stokbroodje. De frisdrank (3.10) bleek een miniflesje van een onbekend merk te zijn. Score: 52 euro voor 3 zielige stokbroodjes, 2 frisdrank en 1 koffie. Wij bevelen dit restaurant niet aan wegens pure oplichting.

Had lunch on Saturday. The croquette sandwich was fine, but the Caesar salad was terrible: no romaine lettuce, but lettuce, watery dressing without flavor, slices of cold cuts chicken (!), limp slices of bacon, no anchovies...

Had a great meal at Meta's. I started with a glass of Rosso Piceno. As a main course I chose a Flat Iron and an Italian coffee afterwards, something the service thought was a good choice.

We hardly ever come to Hoorn, so where do you go for a bite to eat? We heard about Bij Meta through the grapevine. Luckily we booked in time because it was completely full on Tuesday evening. And we completely understand that! From making a reservation by telephone (friendly personal contact), you will immediately be welcomed upon arrival and your coat will be accepted. Where do you see that nowadays? I was with my 16-year-old daughter, who didn't know what happened to her: “I feel like a princess!” The service was great, but the food was also great! Taken care of down to the last detail! Cozy attractive interior. Highly recommended! We will go to Hoorn more often from now on!

Vanaf 17.30 uur hier voorafgaand aan een theaterbezoek een tafeltje gereserveerd voor vier personen. Het eten was goed, de flessen wijn ook. Zo jammer dat deze ervaring volledig teniet werd gedaan toen we om 19.15 uur de tent “uitgeveegd” werden. We kregen ongevraagd de rekening gepresenteerd en de jassen aangeboden. Koffie was niet meer mogelijk. Blijkt dat de tafel alweer gereserveerd was voor andere gasten. Van een dergelijk tijdslot is bij onze telefonische reservering geen melding gemaakt. Wij komen hier dus niet meer.

Gezellig gelunched met een oud collega. Prima ambiance! Lekkere lunch.

Met 3 personen gegeten, 165 euro. Dat is geen ramp, maar we hadden alle 3 nog trek toen we daar weg liepen. Het eten is lekker, maar je krijgt voor het geld erg weinig eten.

Wat een super goed restaurant. De bediening was heel vriendelijk, het eten van goede kwaliteit en in verhouding met de prijs. De sfeer was ook ongedwongen en relaxt. Echt een aanrader voor iedereen.

Eten is gewoon goed, niet speciaal, wel goed. De bediening is hier echt erg goed! Veel aandacht en veel informatie als je dat wilt, het enige minpunt voor mij is de acoustic, je kunt elkaar hier niet verstaan als de hele zaak vol zit, dat is dus bijna altijd. Zoals gezegd het eten de bediening is dik in orde!!! Wel even reserveren! Ook door de weeks!

Last minute gereseveerd voor 4 kon gewoon hadden nog plek buiten, buiten leuke sfeer lekker warme lampen, Binnen lekker knus voel me bijna thuis, Het eten was 11/10 heel goed heel lekker kwam snel en al kijk je naar prijskwaliteit verhouding is het het zeker waard, zeker een aanrader ik zelf zal er 100% zeker nog een keer heen gaan

De ambiance, het personeel, de variatie op de menukaart, de kwaliteit van het eten, prijs-kwaliteit verhouding: allemaal uitstekend. Voor een plezierig etentje een absolute aanrader

Sehr nette Bedienung Lekker Pfankuchen & Kaffee

Vanavond voor het eerst gegeten bij Meta. Ondanks de regen konden wij door het zonnescherm en heater toch buiten borrelen. Ze hebben goede wijnen en tapbiertjes. Als voorgerecht gekozen en proeverij voor 2 personen (33 euro) 2 gambas, 1 tartare steak, 1 toastje met eiersalade met een plakje zalm en 1 klein bordje met carpaccio. En voor ieder een soepje van zeevruchten, geserveerd in een vingerhoedje! Gelukkig waaide het niet. Als je een voorgerecht gaat serveren, dien je toch voor ieder persoon iets afzonderlijk op. Nu moest alles (mini porties) nog gedeeld worden. Het hoofdgerecht vlees van de grill was ook voor twee personen. Weer 2 gambas, heerlijke ossenhaas, TWEE stukjes spareribs en 1 stokje kipsate. Ook nu weer delen! Salade en frites. Hiervoor gingen wij naar binnen in het restaurant. Het restaurant was helemaal vol. Wij hadden een klein tafeltje tegenover de bar. Niet echt romantisch. Het ergste was het geluid. Het leek wel een kippenhok. Ik kon mijn partner niet eens verstaan door de herrie. Na het eten weer snel naar het terras. Het eten was heerlijk! Bij Meta heeft een uitstraling van een eetcafe, maar rekent prijzen als een vier sterren restaurant. Een nogmaals bij een combinatie maaltijd voor 2, zorg dan ook dat beiden een gerecht krijgen. Het personeel was vriendelijk en netjes, maar wij denken dat wij hier niet meer terug komen. In ieder geval niet binnen in het restaurant.

Vaker bij Meta gegeten maar deze keer slechte service in de bediening was niet oke jammer voor het geld wat je betaald mag je wel wat verwachten. Tip : te veel tafels buiten dan wat je aan kan te snel geld verdienen.

Echt de moeite waard, heerlijk eten en gezellige sfeer. Bediening is alert en uitstekend. Zeker eens gaan eten als je in de buurt bent

Jammer van de kleine porties, ook dat je met z'n vieren net zo veel frites krijgt als met z'n tweeën. En frites het mocht de naam niet hebben, hard gebakken kleine stukjes aardappel. Groente, 2 gesneden stukjes wortel, 5 doperwten en een klein stukje bloemkool, c' est ca. Sorry, maar dit is beneden alle peil, voor die prijs.

damit ist schon fast alles gesagt. Die Speisen- und Getränkekarte betet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Ob Carpaccio mit Trüffelmayonaise mit Parmesan, Burrata oder - landestypisch - eine Tomatencremesuppe als Vorspeise, alles war frisch zubereitet. Neben fangfrischem Fisch findet sich auf der Karte ein große Auswahl an Fleischgerichten bzw. Steaks. Das Filetsteak war auf den Punkt "medium rare" gegart ;). Der Service war, obwohl wir auf der weitläufigen Terrasse saßen, stets aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Gerne kommen wir bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt in Hoorn wieder.

We vierden zijn verjaardag met mijn vriend. Hij koos voor de entrecote en ik de sliptong. Alles was heerlijk. Service goed, maar er waren veel gasten en ze besteedden minder aandacht aan ons. We hadden het geluk om een ​​tafel te krijgen zonder reservering!
