Cozy place, nicely decorated. The tables are close together. Upon entering, we weren't noticed and were escorted to an open seat. The food was good, but the choices weren't particularly special.

We went last Saturday as a romantic date. Enjoy a lot the food, the service from our waitress and the atmosphere. We will be visiting again. Delicious meat and a perfect shiitake soup. The warm bread was top as a starter. Thank you for the experience.

This restaurant isn't really suitable for vegetarians. One standard, boring dish per category. The vegetable club sandwich was really bad because the eggplant wasn't cooked enough and was raw. However, the service was super friendly and the atmosphere was great.

Rich flavors from land and sea, perfectly balanced, served without pretense, but with an eye for detail. Everything felt right: the food, the atmosphere, the service. What a fantastic place to dine. Delicious food (the Black Angus Sukade is highly recommended), attentive staff, and a beautifully decorated restaurant with a great atmosphere. They hung up streamers for our birthday, and we were pleasantly surprised. In short, definitely worth a visit.

Nice place, but sometimes a bit noisy inside when it's busy. The space also means there's a lot of movement from the staff. The terrace and courtyard offer fantastic seating. The food is excellent, the portions are generous, and the selection is sufficient for many. The prices are friendly, as is the staff.

Yesterday we had a baby shower with high tea in the Tuynkamer with 17 people. It was a bit of a shame we were spread out over two tables. It would have been nicer if we had sat in the separate room at the back. The staff and other guests were constantly walking back and forth. That wasn't great; a little more privacy would have been nice. By the way, the snacks were delicious—hats off to the chef!—and the decorations were also excellent. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

What a great evening we had with a group (10 adults and 1 small child) to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly. I would recommend everyone to go there for dinner

Went with a group for high tea, at the final round we couldn't eat anymore so we asked for take away if possible, saw many people been offered that before us, they said ok but then 5 minutes later waitress comes says sorry but they threw them away by accident. No offer to replace what was pretty much a full platter of the last round and we were charged 2€ more than the price on the menu, per person! Not even a discount for throwing our food away. Plus for that money they didn't even serve everything that was included in the "royal" high tea as we never got prosecco. A pity because the place is nice and the atmosphere was fine, the food was nothing to write home about but decent, however what makes or breaks a place is the service and that was extremely poor... The person who paid in our group didn't bother to check the receipt so we only realized the overpayment at home... I also ate there before with my husband and another waiter kept forgetting to bring essential stuff that we ordered and never got served... I'll definitely not return.

The food was really good, I would definitely go back for that. And to be able to sit "behind", because even though we are 10 weeks!!! If we had reserved in advance, we were NOT allowed to sit there, no, it was full. But a reservation for 6 p.m. was made by telephone, and those 2 people were allowed to sit "behind"?! Furthermore, the sofa behind the 4 tables. The kitchen is really a punishment bench. (Yes, Mr. Chef, just sit there for an hour, you will find out for yourself. And the upholstery of that sofa is broken.

The Tuynkamer is a standard place for lunch for me. They have good gluten free bread and the service is usually good. I was there a few days ago and the following things really struck me: I think the carpaccio we ordered was not carpaccio but roast beef (in any case not a normal carpaccio that I am used to) and the Fanta that normally came in the bottle with a glass now came directly into the glass, so you get less for the same money. Also the normal bread had changed and was less tasty than before.

I think we were unlucky because it was very hot.... But we were welcomed without a greeting, just a nod. I think the young lady had a conflict with a colleague. Too bad, we can't do anything about it. Requested a wheat beer, got a dark wheat beer, there was no good response and then in the kitchen, where you can hear everything when you are in the restaurant, it was discussed again as a problem... Anyway, the food was tasty and good. But about dealing with customers and dealing with each other... a big zero... Had high expectations based on the review and recommended by someone who comes there regularly.

Brasserie with courtyard at the back of the building. Small menu in the summer. Carpaccio and Tuynkamer bread are excellent. However, I had ordered an Ice Cappuccino, a regular cappuccino was served, but after a comment it was replaced by what I had ordered. The Ice Cappuccino is a warm cappuccino with ice cubes, so very watery, certainly not at the level of, for example, a Bagels & Beans. Service could be a bit friendlier and more personable, but the boy who helped us was very direct, a bit blunt for some.

Very busy, too many people in a small space. Staff are friendly. Dogs are also allowed inside and I personally don't think that is very hygienic. Nice meal!

The food is quite tasty and all that, but unfortunately if you indicate that you have a nut allergy, they are rather laconic about it. Almost death and a one-way ticket to the hospital resulted. Update: one night in hospital for observation. Let this be a lesson, don't be easy about a nut allergy.

What a really nice place in Hoorn to have lunch. Attractively decorated, friendly and prompt service, lots of choice and delicious food. The only disadvantage is the toilet, which is very cramped and if you are not careful you will step into the step. Anyway, just pay attention.

Voor de tweede keer een high tea gedaan, met man en schoonmoeder die in Hoorn woont en het was weer heerlijk! Aparte heerlijke hapjes, lekkere verse thee, vriendelijke en behulpzame bediening, kortom Top! Tot de volgende keer!

Weer eens fijn geluncht in de Tuynkamer, nu met z'n viertjes. Deze keer zaten we ook echt in de tuin en het zonnetje scheen lekker. Wat zit je daar heerlijk knus en gezellig. (Wèl eerst reserveren!) We werden geholpen door een heel erg vrolijke- en vriendelijke jongeman in de bediening. Ik had hier al eens "het allerlekkerste broodje tonijn ooit" gegeten en kon de verleiding niet weerstaan om het ook deze keer toch wéér te bestellen.. Het brood zelf is ook al zo lekker..! Mijn tafelgenoten waren ook heel tevreden over hun keuze van de menukaart. Alles was lekker.. Volgende keer komen we ook weer eens voor een koffie met die overheerlijke appeltaart. Want dat we hier weer terugkomen, dat staat al vast..

The food is always great and the service is always excellent. Highly recommended. They do have different menus for holidays, weekends, etc so your usual favorites may or may not be available when you visit. But we love coming here The only thing I would suggest is to avoid the lunch rush. The ambiance can get too noisy and chaotic once the restaurant is full.
