What a great evening we had with a group (10 adults and 1 small child) to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly. I would recommend everyone to go there for dinner

Went with a group for high tea, at the final round we couldn't eat anymore so we asked for take away if possible, saw many people been offered that before us, they said ok but then 5 minutes later waitress comes says sorry but they threw them away by accident. No offer to replace what was pretty much a full platter of the last round and we were charged 2€ more than the price on the menu, per person! Not even a discount for throwing our food away. Plus for that money they didn't even serve everything that was included in the "royal" high tea as we never got prosecco. A pity because the place is nice and the atmosphere was fine, the food was nothing to write home about but decent, however what makes or breaks a place is the service and that was extremely poor... The person who paid in our group didn't bother to check the receipt so we only realized the overpayment at home... I also ate there before with my husband and another waiter kept forgetting to bring essential stuff that we ordered and never got served... I'll definitely not return.

The food was really good, I would definitely go back for that. And to be able to sit "behind", because even though we are 10 weeks!!! If we had reserved in advance, we were NOT allowed to sit there, no, it was full. But a reservation for 6 p.m. was made by telephone, and those 2 people were allowed to sit "behind"?! Furthermore, the sofa behind the 4 tables. The kitchen is really a punishment bench. (Yes, Mr. Chef, just sit there for an hour, you will find out for yourself. And the upholstery of that sofa is broken.

Our first introduction to catering in Hoorn was at De Tuynkamer, because we happened to stumble upon it from the station. What an introduction it was! Lovely staff, nice lunch menu, quick service and delicious food! Just what you hope for when you step into a new place!

€17 euros for 2 cappuccinos, 1 apple pie and 1 cheesecake. Service disappointing, had to wait a long time and the slice of apple pie was very measly for €5.80... Never again. Plenty of other cozy places in Hoorn.

The Tuynkamer is a standard place for lunch for me. They have good gluten free bread and the service is usually good. I was there a few days ago and the following things really struck me: I think the carpaccio we ordered was not carpaccio but roast beef (in any case not a normal carpaccio that I am used to) and the Fanta that normally came in the bottle with a glass now came directly into the glass, so you get less for the same money. Also the normal bread had changed and was less tasty than before.

I think we were unlucky because it was very hot.... But we were welcomed without a greeting, just a nod. I think the young lady had a conflict with a colleague. Too bad, we can't do anything about it. Requested a wheat beer, got a dark wheat beer, there was no good response and then in the kitchen, where you can hear everything when you are in the restaurant, it was discussed again as a problem... Anyway, the food was tasty and good. But about dealing with customers and dealing with each other... a big zero... Had high expectations based on the review and recommended by someone who comes there regularly.

Brasserie with courtyard at the back of the building. Small menu in the summer. Carpaccio and Tuynkamer bread are excellent. However, I had ordered an Ice Cappuccino, a regular cappuccino was served, but after a comment it was replaced by what I had ordered. The Ice Cappuccino is a warm cappuccino with ice cubes, so very watery, certainly not at the level of, for example, a Bagels & Beans. Service could be a bit friendlier and more personable, but the boy who helped us was very direct, a bit blunt for some.

Very busy, too many people in a small space. Staff are friendly. Dogs are also allowed inside and I personally don't think that is very hygienic. Nice meal!

The food is quite tasty and all that, but unfortunately if you indicate that you have a nut allergy, they are rather laconic about it. Almost death and a one-way ticket to the hospital resulted. Update: one night in hospital for observation. Let this be a lesson, don't be easy about a nut allergy.

Wij hadden een diner voor 18 personen voor de 60 jarige verjaardag van mijn vrouw. De uitstekende kwaliteit van het het eten en de vriendelijke adequate bediening zorgden voor een onvergetelijke avond. Wij zullen zeker vaker terugkomen in de Tuynkamer voor meer lekkers.

What a really nice place in Hoorn to have lunch. Attractively decorated, friendly and prompt service, lots of choice and delicious food. The only disadvantage is the toilet, which is very cramped and if you are not careful you will step into the step. Anyway, just pay attention.

Voor de tweede keer een high tea gedaan, met man en schoonmoeder die in Hoorn woont en het was weer heerlijk! Aparte heerlijke hapjes, lekkere verse thee, vriendelijke en behulpzame bediening, kortom Top! Tot de volgende keer!

Weer eens fijn geluncht in de Tuynkamer, nu met z'n viertjes. Deze keer zaten we ook echt in de tuin en het zonnetje scheen lekker. Wat zit je daar heerlijk knus en gezellig. (Wèl eerst reserveren!) We werden geholpen door een heel erg vrolijke- en vriendelijke jongeman in de bediening. Ik had hier al eens "het allerlekkerste broodje tonijn ooit" gegeten en kon de verleiding niet weerstaan om het ook deze keer toch wéér te bestellen.. Het brood zelf is ook al zo lekker..! Mijn tafelgenoten waren ook heel tevreden over hun keuze van de menukaart. Alles was lekker.. Volgende keer komen we ook weer eens voor een koffie met die overheerlijke appeltaart. Want dat we hier weer terugkomen, dat staat al vast..

The food is always great and the service is always excellent. Highly recommended. They do have different menus for holidays, weekends, etc so your usual favorites may or may not be available when you visit. But we love coming here The only thing I would suggest is to avoid the lunch rush. The ambiance can get too noisy and chaotic once the restaurant is full.

Alsof je iedere keer thuis komt, soepele bediening, alles naar wens, keukenbrigade is in topvorm, alle tijd om lekker te genieten.

We had dinner with 16 people in the Tuyn Room to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. For this occasion, the staff had decorated the conservatory so nicely, we really felt welcome. The 3-course menu was varied, all dishes were delicious and we were served very friendly and hospitable. In short: great! We will definitely come back.

This morning we ordered the famous apple pie, which we always eat when visiting Hoorn, but today the apple pie looked more like an apple pie, it was at most 2 cm high! Why is that? The taste was still okay, but such an apple pie slice has now become very small!

From Rotterdam to Leeuwarden for the musical De Tocht. On the way back to Hoorn we ate at the Tuynkamer. We were surprised by the atmosphere and the quality. Casual atmosphere. Completely Dutch staff. Many regular customers from Hoorn probably, who were sometimes greeted with 3 kisses by the staff. Highly recommended if you are in the area. Worth a big 10.

Nice place in Hoorn for lunch. It is nice and busy and therefore very pleasant. A bit of a chicken coop. But the friendly staff and delicious food make this a great spot for a break in Hoorn NH. We opted for a Ceasar Salad and a Salmon sandwich, both tasty and good portions. The coffee was also tasty.

Add hoc drop in from us today 17/2/2024 at lunch time.. What a find , yes busy on market day but push though to the back as there are more tables under glass . Nice friendly hello from a senior looking member of the FH team. We took the end of the large table by the pass as a family got up.. Ordered drinks pretty sharpish , and once we had decided whst we were going to eat order was take fast. The pass was busy orders were following off it. Food arrived pretty fast I must say. Our little one had a ham & Kass omlett which she eat all up.. my smoked salmon/ cream cheese bagel was freash and yummy. My wife's order was good too and fresh bagel used as well. Family friendly , high chair available. Only down side as it was full inside and pretty tight lay out of table/ chair ,as we left new mother with kinder wagons can't get in as they asked a staff member serving the tables outside on the side walk. When were next in town again, we will sure stop bay again.

Excellent meal. There's a good vibe there. If you want, you can park in front of the door. The only downside are the toilets, which are more difficult to reach and do need some attention.

Tastiest apple pie. It's good to meet up. The only negative point is the acoustics... reverb reverb reverb and a lot of sound is reflected.... Seems easy to solve to me. Otherwise nice.

Delicious coffee. Certainly not the tastiest apple pie in NH (if you have to say that about your own pie then something is wrong), but it was okay. But now the service: A number of tables are reserved when we arrive around 11 o'clock. That is why we choose a table that does not have a reservation. Half an hour later, a young lady puts a reservation sign on our table: reserved from 12.15 "Then you are ready," she adds. How so? We are sitting here and maybe we would like to have lunch too? At half past twelve she comes to send us away. "We had agreed until 12.15" she says (we had not agreed at all) and it is now half past twelve.... Without consultation or excuse, we are actually sent away from our table. Rude and inhospitable.

A nice coffee with delicious apple pie! Lunch was also very good. But.......we had the table at the front of the shop, for 6 people, I also asked for it. But go DO something about that door! No one, except a few, closed the door in the normal manner. Every time there was a loud bang...or it just stayed open, and it wasn't that warm today. So......a point of attention.

Allereerst een klein maar trendy terras inclusief heather....vriendelijk personeel en een heerlijke Cortado met een vriendelijk prijsje👍 Binnen is het trendy en gezellig druk. Lunch schijnt er heerlijk te zijn dus komen wij zeker terug. Er is een toilet beneden voor dames en een extra toilet boven naast de heren. Lastig met eventuele beperkingen, klein maar oké. De verrassing vind ik het glazen tuinhuis of de kas....heel trendy en gezellig 💐 complimenten!! Vandaag heerlijke lunch genuttigd en een uitstekende en vriendelijke gastvrouw💐 Tot de volgende keer maar weer 😇

Goed eten, vriendelijke bediening. En............nog een normale prijs voor een glas wijn!
