Breakfast, especially the veggie toast was very, very delicious!

I've rarely had such a good breakfast! 👍 The pictures say it all, and it tasted just as good. The coffee ☕ was absolutely delicious and came with a small madeleine. Very friendly and prompt service. A real hidden gem! 🎉

Came on vacation from Texas in the USA and the hospitality, food atmosphere was perfect 👌🏼

Delicious sandwiches and various egg based breakfast options, tasty coffee and super nice staff make you feel right at home in this old bar. Probably just as pleasant when the place is packed. First bar I've been to that made me want to steal the cutlery, but don't worry I didn't.

If you're in the area or nearby, it's worth a visit. We ordered a hot chocolate and a latte, and for lunch, two large focaccia sandwiches called Decadente and Fume. The total came to €48.

We had a ham and cheese sandwich, a Ninette, and a croissant with two latte macchiatos for brunch. Everything was incredible: the food, the coffee, the service, and the atmosphere. Super cozy and family-friendly. I felt like I was in a movie, as it seemed like a typical, traditional Dutch restaurant. We'll be back!

A little jewel of the past with an ancient intact interior. Nicely positioned on a corner facing the plein. One of the last slijterijen in Amsterdam. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely food, good coffee, good service, very chilled. I had the Norwegian eggs with spinach which was a big portion as was everyone else’s food. Definitely recommend.

We went to have a few beers and chat for a while. It's quiet, has a terrace, and the staff is very friendly. The prices are affordable and the quality is good. The bathrooms were clean and there was plenty of room inside. They also serve breakfasts that seem to be quality.

Lovely lady, serves you wonderful coffee and has a nice selection of pastries, muffins, waffle, she even makes eggs, or simply bread and butter if you wish. Totally recommend!

The eggs florentine with spinach were excellent. They were prepared beautifully. They were on a bed of delicious bread. The sunny side up eggs with the bacon were also delicious.

I don't know why the average rating is so high. Disappointing experience. Waited 20 minutes just to place our order while staff seemed to be faffing around and serving others who arrived after us. The food also took ages to arrive and had someone's hair in it, definitely didn’t justify the prices. Not worth it.

We arrived before 11.30am and ordered a chocolate milk, cappuccino, apple pie and avocado toast. Minutes pass and only drinks arrive, they ask us if we want everything together or the cake first, since there are two of us I ask for everything together even if the cake is already ready. Half an hour passes, nothing... I call the same waitress to ask for information since three other tables that arrived after us had already been served. The waitress arrives and asks us what we want to order as if we were new customers, even though we had cutlery ready and cappuccino and milk at the table. I explain to her that we have been waiting a long time, she apologizes and says she will check. Another 20 minutes pass as they continue to pass avocado toast to other tables, some even confused because they hadn't ordered it. In the meantime the waitress found time to make lunch and an avocado toast that they didn't know whose it belonged was left leaning on the counter... in all of this the cake was already ready at the counter and was never delivered. After an hour we get up to leave and explain to the cashier that we don't have to pay the bill for everything we ordered because it never arrived, in the meantime another waitress arrives with our order (just the lawyer toast). We left

A bunch of unfortunates! We arrived, we sat down, they brought us drinks and then they TOTALLY forgot about our existence, despite having ordered food after 30 minutes still nothing even though people who arrived after us were already eating, we asked and they had forgotten our order, so we re-ordered, I ordered a simple slice of cake which was on the balcony nothing too difficult and my husband a toast, after another 30 minutes, so in total an hour, we received nothing, at because we got up and went to the cash register where they asked us to pay for everything, even the food we hadn't received, we naturally only paid for what we had consumed, so after an hour or so we left feeling sick and hungrier than before, despite two orders and the fact that our table was right in front of the counter and in the meantime our waitress also had lunch in front of us, to add insult to injury, of course we will never go back there again also because the place was full of dust from floor to ceiling.

Excellent service. We loved it. The food is very tasty, the staff very close and empathetic. The price is a “little” high but it is worth it compared to the pleasant experience, the size of the dishes and how delicious it was. I would return without hesitation 🫶

The best eggs benedict I've ever eaten

Best way to start the day in the neighborhood. Cozy vibes. Not too many tables so prepare to warm your coffee on a barrel table first if you're unlucky. The eggs benedict is predictably good.

Cozy and calm atmosphere. Nice staff. Good food that met expectations. Would have gone well with an even smaller portion of the dish I ordered, "fumé". Would have preferred paper towels in the toilet instead of noisy "blow dryer". Very happy with my visit overall though!

Briefly summarized: Mega. Super delicious food, super nice people (service & guests), super ambience. We sat down inside the café because it was really nice and then ate our delicious “Bari” and “Ninette” sandwiches there. Definitely worth a visit and if we were here longer we would feast our way through the menu :)

Cozy neighborhood bar! Indoor and outdoor seating, friendly staff, and a cool bar vibe. Didn’t eat but had various drinks. All great. Would totally make this my neighborhood pub if I lived nearby. Worth the venture if you are not in the neighborhood.

Excellent breakfast with well prepared oat flat white. I would pick this place over the other two coffee shops on the block because of the food and the classic bar vibe with the comfy booths and dim lighting. Very busy midday onwards but you’ll have the place to yourself before 9am in my experience. The coffee is well prepared but the beans could be better, meaning that the other two shops on the block have slightly better coffee. However, the other key point that makes this the winner of the three is the outdoor seating on a busy corner with great people watching.

A very charming bar, very friendly service. We had a wonderful breakfast including popeye eggs, delicious. We returned in the evening and sampled the beers. Very good both visits. The only disappointment was it being closed when we returned to have breakfast again on Wednesday at 8.30. No opening times shown.
