Eggs Benaddicted in De Weteringschans

Encouraged by the positive reviews, we decided to have breakfast at EB. We ordered egg's benaddicted and Dutch benaddicted, as well as drinks. The portions were correct in terms of volume in relation to the price, although we had already eaten larger breakfasts for a lower price during our stay in Amsterdam. The ham was very salty and not the best quality, and the meal itself was only lukewarm and warm. It gave the impression that it had been lying on the table for a few minutes waiting to be served. The waiting time also left a lot to be desired, from the moment of placing the order to its completion it took almost 40 minutes. When placing the order we were not informed that it could take that long. What is worse, the groups of customers coming after us received their meal faster. To sum up, for lack of anything better, it could be, unfortunately it was nothing special or memorable.

Love this restaurant! The food is delicious. The only thing I would recommend is to put some music. The noise of the dishes is too loud

I'm giving it 5 stars for the English breakfast, 4 for shakshuka, and five for the atmosphere and coffee. I like shakshuka with cumin, so this one was not my favourite version, but it was still pretty good, and the bread was very tasty. We also loved the sausage, and the potatoes. Definitely recommend.

Very nice breakfast restaurant - although we ordered non-flagship egg dishes it was delicious. Coffee is more sour than bitter. The place is quite narrow but large. Service very efficient and fast.

Very good place for a breakfast that will give you energy. Attractive prices and quite large portions (at least my muesli was). Nice and fast service.

Eggs Benedict was okay. But the matcha latte was soooooo weak compared to what I was used to.. It was almost like just milk. I was grateful to the server for kindly explaining and accepting my request, but the glass I was given had a fishy smell..

One of the best eggs benedict I've ever eaten. If you love eggs benedict like me and my girlfriend or just like a good brunch, you will love this place. Absolutely recommend it if you go to Amsterdam!

Breakfasts at the highest level

we waited 25 mins and it turns out they didn’t register our order. then we got a cheesecake as a compensation that was mid, i would’ve preferred to get a discount instead. then when we paid they charged us extra. super all-over-the-place service, the only 2 stars go for the food coz it was ok and good portions

Very pleasant service. Large portions, delicious. The waiter speaks several languages, we could talk freely. It was very hot outside, but inside there was air conditioning and it was very pleasantly cooling.

Really enjoyed this spot. We got right in to a table, and the eggs Benedict was delicious. The poached eggs were perfect. Service was efficient and the menu is fairly priced.

We ordered a toffee and pecan pancake and a Forest Benaddicted. The pancake is delicious, but it's quite dense and cloying. It's a fairly large place, and we didn't have to wait or wait in line.

Full Monty pancakes are so good! We came back a second day on our trip to get them. Shakshuka is also very good. Mimosas were great. Coffee shot made by the manager was delicious. Highly recommend!

Came with my wife and got the shashuka and monty pancake. The shashuka was outta this world and so was the Monty. Also had a mimosa and the manager gave us some coffee shot with Drambuie and foam and espresso that was AMAZING! Came back the following day and did it again it was sooo good!

Extremely average food and below par customer service, food looks aesthetic but isn’t worth the calories. Wouldn’t eat it for free lol

We stopped by Eggs Benedicted on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm. Although you can’t make a reservation, we had no trouble getting a table despite it being quite busy. The crowd was mostly young and the atmosphere was lively, with a nice open kitchen at the back and friendly, confident staff. The menu had plenty of options. We went for the duck and mushroom Eggs Benedict (delicious) and the classic version with bacon, which my husband really enjoyed. They were out of croissants, but our daughter had a brioche with jam and butter, which she loved. I had a lemon and ginger tea—simple but very good. What stood out was how welcoming they were to kids. The waitress gave our daughter a colouring book and crayons as soon as we sat down, which is rare to see in Amsterdam and really appreciated. The interior is warm and inviting, and although the toilets are upstairs (like many places here), they were clean and well kept. Prices were fair for the quality, and overall it was a great experience. We’ll definitely be back.

This place was a very nice find. It has a great vibe, it’s very spacious, the service was great and fun, and the food was delicious. We ordered the Italian omelet and the eggs florentin. Not only were they very tasty, but they were also very abundant. It was the best breakfast in the days I spent in Amsterdam, I highly recommend you try it!

The vibe is OK! The food is very basic, I would recommend the croissant filled with eggs, feta and spinach.. I wouldn’t recommend the French toast Home made Ice Tea doesn’t have a taste

I had forest eggs with smoked duck and it was delicious. A lot of duck pieces in the plate, eggs perfectly cooked and good mushrooms. Service was fast and very nice. I'll go back every time I will be in Amsterdam.

Last visited May 2025 Usually rather busy so decided to visit start of the week. The menu looked perfect for an all-day breakfast. Visited a few times now.... I tend to go for the fill croissant with extra Parma han

We got our tabe (family of 4) fairly quick. Drinks were served minutes after the order was taken. However, food arrived after a long wait. It was rather generously plated - even too generously if it comes to pancakes, which were ordered by both of my kids. Pancakes were served with chocolate sauce and fresh fruits. Portions were rather humongous, yet with not enough chocolate sauce to keep the stack of pancakes moist enough. As a result, it tasted dry, so even my kids (who normally polish their plates) couldn't finish 1/3 of it. It felt as if all of our orders were disproportionately large. From what I noticed, most of the customers left their food unfinished. Hence, small suggestion to the owners: reduce portion sizes (and prices, proportionally) in order to minimise the waste and workload for your staff - those guys in the open kitchen were on fire! Also, small cappuccino should actually be called 'tiny' 😉 (delicious, yet extra small). Other than that - food was very tasty 😁. The staff did their best to keep up with the demand. Thank you

The place gets packed, the service is kind but sometimes it takes them a while. I had very high expectations on the food due the name … and well the eggs are ok but nothing memorable. It’s okay overall for brunch and we visited more than once just don’t let the name get your expectations high.

Really great menu, food was amazing, staff were friendly and attentive. They have great egg dishes - Dutch benedict was fab, and be sure to add the Eel! Highly recommended

This was my first time having shakshuka and it wasn’t remarkable. The sauce was too runny and didn’t have any distinct flavour.

I’ve been to Eggs Benaddicted many times with friends and colleagues as its near the city center. The staff is always very friendly and all the dishes I’ve tried have been delicious. I especially love their Eggs Benedict and their omelettes!

The best breakfast in Amsterdam, everything was perfect, the eggs, the toast, and the pancakes. I recommend it to everyone! Plus, the atmosphere is very pleasant, with good music and excellent service.

This was the first place we randomly chose to have breakfast. Boy, the brioche with butter and jam, english breakfast were just AMAZING 😍 Must visit, love the service, vibes. Wish I lived in Amsterdam to eat here every day.

I'd give it a 3.5. We had a short line outside, but it moved quickly. The dishes are hearty, but the bacon seemed very, very salty, as did the ham on the toast. If it weren't for this, I'd give it 5 stars.

The eggs benedict we ordered was delicious. The bread was super tasty, the eggs were on point, and the hollandaise sauce was superb. We ordered extra pancakes to prove them, but in the end, there was too much food. But it was all great!! We will come back to try the other dishes.

It is a lovely place and the service staff is very friendly. However, we made the mistake of ordering shakshuka. I don't know what we were thinking ordering a tomato based dish in a northern country. I strongly recommend that they remove that dish from the menu.

The breakfast was amazing! The staff was helpful and fast. Love the pancakes with ricotta and a poached egg, but the star of the meal was the eggs benedict. The brioche toast at the bottom was perfect buttery canvas.

Best eggs benedict I’ve ever had. That being said, it does come on brioche instead of an English muffin, but I loved it. The coffee was terrific, and they were very accommodating with my mom’s food allergies.

It was very crowded but everything was delicious. Maybe the coffee could be better, but the roastbeef is great and the croissant is perfect.

Great place! We went back a second time because it’s such a sure value! Clean, nice playlist, great staff, and the food is delicious! For 2 dishes and 2 drinks we worked out around 45€. Really good, I recommend 😍

Eggs of all shapes and sizes. In this small place there are several options for your brunch. When we went there was a queue outside, we were seated within a short time, but we waited 15/20 minutes to receive our order. It's all done on the spot, and that's a plus. The tables are a bit narrow and you eat very close to the other diners. The service is present and kind. A sales assistant came over to ask if everything was okay shortly after receiving my dish. Prices are normal.

High expectations, definitely did not meet them. Not to say that it was terrible, just wasn’t good at all. The dude behind the coffee counter was straight up dirty. Touches everything and spills everywhere. Uncoordinated mess. The girls helping us were very nice but also did not spend time for us at all. Food looked very good, tasted bad. Would definitely NOT recommend.

We came because we were looking for a place to have breakfast. It is perhaps a place to have a brunch and not a quick breakfast. The place was full and we had to wait in line to get in. The food was very good and the dishes were abundant. At the time of paying we thought it had been very expensive and when we reviewed the account they had charged us an extra €10 for an undetermined amount. I immediately pointed it out to one of the waiters who seemed very surprised. They refunded me the difference in cash. It all seemed very strange to us...

There is a line outside for a table EVERY DAY. Due to the crowds it is all a bit rushed, the food itself is excellent, so if there is room available I would recommend it. I think there are better places where fewer tourists come.

we ask them if they use nutella chocolate for pancake or no ? they said yes, And when the order came it was not nutella and they act like not understand 😁 The man who was taking the order from people on April 4, 2025 need take curse ( costomer servies ) to learn how to treat people and respect also thank u
