Eggs Benaddicted in De Weteringschans

Went there on January 1st. There was a little waiting cue when we arrived, but it was very fast. We had the eggs benedict and the roast beef and eggs, and it was fabulous!!! Really recommend it. Definitely a place to go back.

We loved this place. Great food and a super friendly host that made us feel so welcome. I had the English Breakfast because I'm allergic to eggs and they accommodated me swapping out the eggs with no fuss. It was the most amazing take on an English breakfast ever. Generous portions, value for money and just a cosy and comfortable start to anyone's day.

Wonderful atmosphere and amazing staff — very friendly and welcoming. The service is fast, even on very busy days. I was lucky to arrive before there was a line outside, and even then the waiting time was very short (less than 5 minutes), unlike many other places where you can easily wait 20 minutes or more. Great selection of breakfasts, healthy and well-balanced, which was very important to me. They also have matcha latte and banana bread, which are surprisingly hard to find in Amsterdam. Will definitely come back. Thank you again!

We stumbled on this one by accident, it was very busy so we waited to be seated for 5-10min, but the wait was worth it! Absolutely best eggs ever. Big portion, freshly prepared. And for reasonable price. Wow. Business can still be done right.

Best brunch in Amsterdam; there was always room whenever we came. Friendly staff, fast service. The hollandaise sauce is divine; we highly recommend it.

We went for breakfast, it's a small, charming place. I ate shakshuka, it's similar to our menemen (Turkish scrambled eggs), the tomato sauce was amazing, I really liked it. It had two eggs, I couldn't finish it all by myself. The place is small, they take turns serving. Thank you for everything, it was very good.

Unfriendly waitress told us to wait outside even though there were empty tables.

It was delicious! I really liked the waiter saying "enjoy!" when he served the food. It sounded like he genuinely wanted us to enjoy the meal, and because of him, the Eggs Benedict seemed to taste even better!

Delicious breakfast. Good location. Seating arrangements a bit tight but not uncomfortable. Service was fast and friendly.

We ate some really tasty food here, however notably it did cost us €55 which was a bit of a shocker - definitely our most expensive breakfast in Amsterdam. It is very packed on the inside and we had to wait around 20 minutes to get a table. Recommended if you don't mind a wait and have the cash to spare, but if you're on a budget then look elsewhere.

Really good breakfast! We were there on a Sunday and, due to high demand, had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. The service was great and the food arrived quickly. Because the kitchen is open, it's relatively noisy. Still, highly recommended!

Simple food but done right. Great hollandaise sauce and good crispy brioche bread with a soft doughy middle.

Loved it so much that we went back the very next morning! I’d get the Greek Omelette and French toast. Coffees and chai latte are really good. Tiramisu was incredible. It’s fascinating to watch the open kitchen!

The atmosphere and the staff are absolutely wonderful and as a bit of a coffee snob the coffee was 10/10. Although I did get the Italian omelette and felt like it was more cheese and butter than egg.

Add the eggs Benedict - came out quick same as drinks and was nice but nothing special especially for the price

A pleasurable late lunch with breakfast food. The poached eggs with the creamy hollandaise sauce were done perfectly. The textural contrast from the crispy toast, the silky eggs, juicy mushrooms, creamy sauce and flavourful smoked duck pieces was divine. Every bite was pure enjoyment. The Gravlax Toast and Eggs Benedicted were equally yummy and filling. Would return for another meal if there’s time and opportunity.

Amazing food. Expected a more americanized breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. The normal Benedict was salty, eggs cooked to perfection and the hallendaise was thick, creamy and full of flavor. Would definitely revisit

By fluke we found this place I had the Forrest eggs Benedict with croissant not brioche toast. Very tasty . Great little place limited space. It was very busy lucky to get last two person table. A bit cramped inside but makes it cosy and inviting. Friendliest staff we have come across in Amsterdam in 4 days. Would totally go back again

We had the Roastbeef & Eggs, and it was very good. Two of us split a single plate, and it was enough for us, but it's up to you. We ordered the baked baby potatoes to go with it. It was a delightful place, and our meal was slightly delayed, but we went at a busy time, so I guess that's normal. It's a place we want to visit again before leaving Amsterdam.

Absolutely perfect. Small restaurant, but a big experience. The food is delicious and the staff is lovely. In short, a place you can go to without hesitation.

Nice but way overrated brunch restaurant: Food was good, but very pricey and not particularly amazing Coffee did not taste that good Very loud music, very cold due to constantly open door and not a chill atmosphere at all Service was also very frenetic and not that welcoming Not worth the price for sure, especially if after a long queue (which was not my case)

The chai latte was very good, as was the full Monts pancake, which was generous and delicious.

If you want a full breakfast that isn’t pastries this is a solid option!!! We had eggs Benaddicted Dutch style over potatoes and farm style with duck! Very enjoyed the creative takes and that there were so many options! Cappuccino was also delicious!! It was a great way to fuel up for our day ahead.

The first time I came in, it was a brunch place that I had on my list because I always saw a queue at the entrance...would I wait in line after trying it? I do not think so. We have ordered 2 orange juices, 2 flat whites and some eggs Florentine as well as roast beef with an egg. The dishes were good, but nothing exceptional. The portions are generous. The service disappointed us, it took them a long time to serve the food.

Best breakfast in Amsterdam so far

For me, this is the best breakfast spot in Amsterdam. In many other places, the food just looks good. But here at Eggs Benaddicted, it looks good AND the quality and preparation are top-notch. The poached egg had the perfect consistency. Every single component of our meal was superb. We'll definitely be back.

All three were delicious. We have egg benedicted, gravlax toast and forest Benedicted. I liked their egg Benedict. Coffee was good as well.

Last visited September 2025 Usually rather busy so decided to visit start of the week. The menu looked perfect for an all-day breakfast. Visited a few times now…. I tend to go for the fill croissant with extra Parma ham, since last few visits…. Italian omelette…. wow

The bad news - there is almost always a line and its a long one. The good news news - it moves fairly quickly ( I would suggest you do your part by also eating and leaving as quickly as possible to facilitate this) The great news- it is absolutely worth every minute that you wait in the cold and the rain! Possibly the best Steak and eggs ever! An absolutely fantastic take on the Greek Omlette with Filo pastry! The French toast is in my Top 5 around the world. You CANNOT miss the Baby Potatoes! The best ever. I would travel back to Amsterdam to have them! They accept cash and card. Definitely recommend and would definitely go back again.

The best eggs benedict l've ever had. Everything was gorgeous. I got an oat caramel latte and it was perfect and really smooth. Staff were super friendly and really nice vibe of the restaurant.

Went there today for breakfast with my family and we absolutely smashed the food. We waited for a table for about 7-10 mins, which was ok for 3.5 adults and got a nice table close to the kitchen with a high chair for my 20 month old daughter. We ordered poached eggs Florentine, the Mediterranean omlet and my favorite roast beef with sunny side eggs…and everything was spot on amazing. Along with that we ended with the French toast, which was delicious and some fresh mint tea, espresso and fresh OJ. The best part was that there was some nice toys for my daughter to play with, and the staff was very friendly around her. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Dam 🔥

A cute brunch spot with a big variety of sweet and savoury food. Quick and very lovely service. We had the Roastbeef egg sandwich and the special shashuka and both were insane! The coffee was also very good. Even though there was a line of 10 people when we arrived, we only had to wait about 10 min - it’s definitely worth the wait!

Went here by 9am and got a place easy. By 10am it was full. The best eggs benedict we had in amsterdam! Fast and very friendly staff!

Food was delicious and amazing. The tables were a little bit too small so you have to squeeze sometimes. Overall still a lovely experience.

Editing my review as I returned in October 2025 and if anything the food and service was even better than before. Unfortunately we had to wait 15-30 mins to get in, as others seem to have discovered just how good this place is. Highly recommended and I absolutely stand behind my previous review, below! Absolutely fell in love with the breakfasts here. I thought the Shakshuka Special was really great, but then had the Forest Bennedicted (with smoked duck breast and extra bacon!) and it blew my mind. 🤯 Friendly and attentive staff for breakfast and a nice atmosphere. It can get chilly near the sliding door entrance if somebody forgets to pull it shut, so try to sit away from the door if you can. 🥶

Yikes. Got the classic benedict, the bread was cake, the ham tasted and looked like i could hwave bought it from the supermarket. The eggs were perfectly poached tho. Clearly a tourist trap place.

Food was amazing!!! So tasty. Just a little on the pricey side, but consistent with Amsterdam I suppose. All team members we spoke to were friendly and helpful and funny. Had a great time here. Only downside was that our table was a little cramped, but it’s a busy busy place. Would defo go again. We tried to actually but it was too busy!

Food was good, but the employee with the long beard should flirt less with the customers and ignore less people calling him to the table. Other employees were very friendly, professional and helpful, but this one dude (the person that receives you at the door) is not. Also please add some oil to the door it squeaks so loud.

Oh boy! the eggs Florentine was outstanding. I added salmon on the side, great coffee too. It gets extremely busy, bit well worth it.

The poached egg dishes were perfectly made and incredibly delicious. Place is usually packed but if you wait for a bit, you’ll be seated. Atmosphere is okay. The staff however needs improvement. Would recommend for good breakfast food!

The best Brioche French Toast I'VE EVER HAD! If you don't eat here you're an idiot!

Fun concept for people who like egg-based brunchs, the products are fresh and very tasty. Its obviously a very popular spot for brunch so it was pretty crowded...I took out one star for the atmosphere because i felt a little bit rushed out of the door to free a table. But the service was quick, polite and efficient so no complaints there! I recommend when it's less busy to enjoy the nice food a little bit longer :) (Also the usual toppings are often extra add ons for a high price...I know its Amsterdam but ugh)

I hate that in this city they make it mandatory to have a tip on the bill? The prices are high and the service is average! Why would I pay a tip? It's like they are homeless.

The food is AMAZING! I recommend the roasted beef with mozzarella and the french toast. The brioche was the best ever.
