Bij Tijn in Wijk 00 Centrum

After placing our order, it took 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. The wait staff were incredibly friendly and worked their tails off. After a 45-minute wait, our neighbors received their food, but they arrived at least 15 minutes after us. After inquiring about our food, we were told it would take another 3 minutes. Unfortunately, after 10 minutes, there was still no food, so we decided to leave. At the cash register, we were treated rudely by the owner/manager who smelled of alcohol. It's a shame he yelled after us, "Go away and stay away..." This was very unfriendly and certainly unnecessary. The staff were friendly and worked very hard.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a good experience today. It was very busy, and we knew the wait would be a bit longer, but when everyone who comes in later gets their food first, you know something's not quite right. The staff was very attentive and friendly. However, the manager wasn't very responsive when we told him we didn't want to wait any longer and wanted to pay for our drinks. He got angry and shouted throughout the restaurant that we should never come back. We smelled a strong alcohol odor, so maybe that was it? We will NEVER go there again, and we're giving a negative review.

We sit down at a table where drinks are still on display. They remain standing. I see two employees chatting more than they work. When I go to the cramped men's restroom, I want to wash my hands, but there's no soap. There's no soap in the women's restroom either; even the extra soap dispenser is empty. Drying my hands is impossible. I do find a half-wet tea towel draped over a trash can. When I ask for a towel at the bar, they point me to the tea towel. I return to my wife and ask if anyone has been with her yet, and the answer is no. We see someone walking around, but they don't look around. We quickly leave. A little further down the road, Hema was an excellent alternative! It's a shame our first visit left such a bad impression.

Been here several times. Nice place for lunch or just a drink. Lunch was delicious, staff were friendly, and I left feeling satisfied. I would turn the music down a bit, if I may say so. Otherwise, everything is fine for me!

Unfortunately, I had to update my review. We had to wait a very long time for our lunch, and they hadn't listened to my request to leave out an item, so it wasn't delivered in its entirety. We were €40 lighter and almost two hours later.

Very poor. Bread dry and rock hard. Fries inedible. No resolution after complaint. Not recommended.

We had a delicious lunch here. The waitress thought along with us and we were able to share the carpaccio. Both had a slice of bread with carpaccio and delicious truffle fries that we also shared. If we are in the area again, we will definitely have lunch here again!

The food was ultra delicious!!! The sweet potato fries were great, the broccoli soup was phenomenal and the carpaccio sandwich was fresh and full of love!!! Me and my mother had a great time. The hospitality was also good and very nice. I also liked to hear that everything is prepared super fresh and you could really taste it. To the chef it was super tasty and you could really taste the love in the dish. many restaurants can follow this example. All in all 100/10 👌

My girlfriend has experienced something traumatic and we walk past this tent. The doors were open and an open sign was hanging. My girl really needed to go to the toilet and was still sad so we walked into the tent, maybe we wanted to have a drink too. We are suddenly called back by the owner who was drinking a beer outside. He was angry and said we should ask something like that first (which we planned to do once we got in). I told him this too and then he got even angrier and he also said to his friends "shall we catch him?". That man just threatens. Firstly, it was not at all clear that he was the owner and secondly, you should be able to just walk in and ask if you can go to the toilet, especially if the doors are wide open with the sign 'open'. The man was exhausted and there was no one else in the tent. And understandable with such an owner. He asked if we no longer wanted to just walk in. Well, he achieved his goal. I'll never come here again. An owner like that doesn't deserve it.

First time visiting this town and we came across this top restaurant. The service was absolutely amazing; the people working there were so fast and friendly! The food was super lekker, and the portions were generous for very good prices! We were with our dog, and the person who was taking our order was so friendly with him; he even brought some snacks for our dog! Totally recommend this place! This restaurant is the clear example of how all restaurants should treat their guests. 😊💯👌

Today we had lunch with 4 people. We were soon asked what we wanted to order. We noticed that the map was a lot smaller than before. We ordered food and after 40 minutes we asked where it was. The waiter asked and did not come to the table to tell us. After another fifteen minutes of waiting it arrived. We had 1 exception at lunch that was no cheese. Except twice, there was cheese in the dish. The service said twice that it was not the case. When the 3rd of us had finished our food, the 4th person still had to wait for his dish without cheese. Too bad it happened this way. Started a conversation with the manager but he had little time, he was alone in the kitchen. We won't be coming back!

Service this morning was appalling. Ordered a cappuccino, tea, and appletart. Drinks took a very long time and a poor selection of tea. Cappuccino was okay but teabag was broken inside and I had already asked for Earl Grey twice so I didn't bother asking again. We waited over 30 minutes and then had to follow up on the cake - by that point we had already finished our coffees so it wasn't as nice. It wasn't overly busy but there were atleast two tables of people who we saw sit, and then leave because they were not served in time. I did not think that the waitress was very friendly. I would not go back.

We regularly come to Tijn's and enjoy the cozy atmosphere and the food. Also Martijn who always comes to say hello and have a chat. Highly recommended.

"Eating at Tijn" is old-fashioned tasty food with generous portions in a nice environment and friendly staff.

It is especially nice to relax on the terrace. In the meantime, enjoy the fairly extensive menu and enjoy the weather and atmosphere here for hours.
