Expensive. It could fall into the category "tourist trap" the quiche was smaller than 15cm in diameter and 24 euros!! A special beer you pay 8.50 for here if you choose the wrong one. Staff was really good and friendly.

Paying (so much) extra for oat milk is outdated. Beef sausage with Amsterdam pickles is just mustard and wilted lettuce. If you indicate that, there is no response. Service is friendly but inexperienced and lacks direction. Location is great with a nice terrace

Discovered this restaurant through Social Deal. Delicious food for a very attractive price, good atmosphere and not having to wait long. The price of soft drinks is indeed a bit on the high side, but that's not the case these days.

Food was nice and good location too with the terrace. However when they charge €4,20 for a lousy 200ml of Ice Tea I feel ripped off. You used to get a can of 330ml for about €1,- so inflation last 25 years is about 600%. That is pure theft. We didn’t leave as we were on a walk.

Getting a drink took 20 minutes, then it took another 25 minutes before we got our sandwich. When I asked where it was I got the response 'I can't tell you'... But I would be asked in the kitchen. Then the boy went to serve other guests and didn't let us know. We were about to leave when our sandwiches arrived, quickly made, what you get for the amounts is really minimal. Tostie had barely been under the grill, etc.. when I wanted to pay, no one came, I walked in and I was told that I had to pay at the table by the same young man. So you just have the device in your pocket, I already indicated that we had to leave and you send me back to the table?? And it gets even crazier, because then he doesn't come at all but starts taking all kinds of orders from other guests. Finally, after 5 minutes of waving, I can finally pay at the table with the same guy... what a mockery. Don't be seduced by the beautiful place, it is better to sit next to 'De Jongens' or look at the square for a while and look for a better and much cheaper place elsewhere. Afterwards I see that there is a deal on social deal, for much less than we paid. That is indeed the price level that it should be as standard. Unfortunately we find out too late. So if you can get a deal, have all the time in the world, then great.

The place is great, nice terrace in the sun. Nice service. But you don't have to go here for the food. We just had a mustard soup for €11, which was really not tasty. Watery, tasteless, a dry piece of bread without butter or something like that. So not recommended.

Beautiful building. We were upstairs. Lots of people in a small space. My, my, what a noise. You would suffer hearing damage. The food was okay. No further explanation about Social Deal. We just had to look at the phone. Afterwards I tried to pee in a urinal that was much too high. Conclusion, see if you can find something else.

During the chocolate festival in Hattem, we sat outside on the beautiful, busy terrace at Brasserie de Markt. Friendly service, they did their best to serve everyone despite the crowds. The outside of the steak was not cooked properly (pan not hot enough, basic mistake for every chef.) The price of 33 euros was certainly not worth it. The salmon was decent. The vegetables served were mediocre. All in all, a restaurant where I will not return with this chef at the helm.

Had a 3 course menu here yesterday via Social Deal. As a main course I had a ribbon pasta with cream, arugula, mushrooms, broccoli and burrata. It was far too much pasta in proportion, the arugula was not included, the broccoli consisted of exactly 3 florets and the mushrooms were also hard to find. And they normally charge 23.90 for this. Scandalous. We also had to wait an hour for our dessert. Starter and dessert were tasty.

We were two people, food came at long intervals. First I got food but without cutlery, when I got cutlery the food was cold. The prawns were reheated, but together with the lettuce and cucumber. The intervals were so long that the potatoes were brought after the other waitress had already cleared the plates. Unfortunately I can't make it any better, but this is really not recommended.

Had coffee and cake here during the very busy flea market on Saturday. It was wonderful to sit on the heated terrace after a heavy rain shower. Even in the sun. Staff was very friendly, despite the huge crowds.

Bagger tent. We almost never thought we would sit on a terrace, but we will never come back here. Service is slow and not customer friendly at all. When you ask them a question you get a look or a snarl from them. Had to wait 30 minutes until someone finally came to take our order and then had to pay for the most expensive coffee + pastry ever, 19.80 for 2 cups of coffee + 2 pastries. After 15 minutes our expensive stuff finally arrived on the table. Then you expect the tastiest thing you have ever had, your cake is completely frozen, but if you say something about it, they have no answer and they just walk away without solving it normally. I would say close that place and first learn the basics of how to run a place. They're all walking around with no idea what to do. It's all very clumsy. The cook and bar staff do not speak Dutch, but the service does. We waited a long time for the menu and finally we took it ourselves. The service after ordering was quick, I thought the prices were too high for the food you received. Ice Tea Green €4.25 / salmon sandwich €15.90 / cup of mustard soup (without bread or salmon) €10.90.

Affordable pricing and payable with mastercard. Just to hear the clock bell play its tune is a experience worth the trip here. We were lucky to have nice weather during our visit in the town so the walk through the garden and streets to the city square was a pleasant one.

Had a nice evening and a delicious meal! Even though it was very small there, we had a great time, there was an intimate atmosphere and we had a good laugh with the waiter :) The food itself was fine, not a five star restaurant, but just tasty, not too crazy and a delicious crème brûlée for dessert. Don't go there thinking you are going to taste culinary delights, go there for a pleasant evening and delicious carefree food. If I ever pass through Hattem again, I would definitely come back here!

Recommended in terms of atmosphere...it was busy, therefore service was slower, but very friendly. Unfortunately, the steak was tough and the potatoes were undercooked (cold inside), the salmon salad was fine, the chicken dish was excellent! Dessert delicious!

Almost the maximum number of stars for food, service and atmosphere. Unfortunately, the cash register rattle was a big dip. The trick is simple: charge for bread in advance, potatoes or fries separately with the main course. And not for small amounts, because at the snack bar you get a family bag of fries for that amount. Conclusion: price and performance are nicely balanced, but I don't like gimmicks and that's why I round the 2.5 stars down.

Had lunch at the Markt yesterday and that was a good choice. I had the spicy chicken strips with sourdough bread. Attractively presented and a really large portion. (Dinner became soup). The service was really neat, relaxed and very attentive. Good atmosphere. Highly recommended!

One for the first time (social deal) three-course menu. Delicious in taste and warm/hot, both starter and main course, in an attractively decorated restaurant. The service was fast and friendly during our stay.

Went to the Markt for dinner last Friday, December 8. Received in an attractive environment by friendly staff. Even though it was quite busy, attention was paid to the guests. The menu selection was more than sufficient and the dishes arrived on time. The kitchen did a good job and the food was excellent. All in all a successful evening. We will definitely go here again. Booked well in advance for 6 people. We received 3 bistro tables upon arrival. Also pushed away in a corner near the kitchen. When asked, the gentleman was busy with larger groups. You understand, we have left. Because spending your expensive money in a corner at a camping table was too much for us. NEVER here again. This is only about the money and not about the customer. I give 1 star and that is because otherwise I could not post it.

On Saturday, October 7, we went to celebrate my mother's 82nd birthday at the Markt. We had made reservations for five people via social deal. When we entered, there were only three chairs at our table. Even though the staff saw this immediately, no further action was taken. After the delicious starter, we didn't get our main course until 9 p.m. It was said there was a group of 14 people which would put pressure on the kitchen. Later the story was that the kitchen had lost the receipt. My father started a conversation with the waiter to express our displeasure. Apologies followed and it was said that they found it all very annoying for us. You would think that this mistake would be made up for with dessert, but to our great surprise, this also took a very long time. The cheerful birthday mood had worn off by now. At 9.45 pm, after we had asked again if they had forgotten us, dessert finally arrived. We declined the coffee offered afterwards, so we didn't need the surprise anymore. To compensate, we didn't have to pay for the drinks, which was nice. We will definitely not eat here again...

Screamingly expensive! When you have to pay around 10 euros for a simple sandwich... The menu was too dirty to handle, not a very good business card. I left it at coffee, with a not so fresh stroopwafel next to it, which also had to wait quite a long time!

We waren met een redelijke groep van 20 pers. We kregen een aparte kamer boven. Het was behoorlijk warm en geen airco. We hebben zelf maar 3 oude schuiframen opgedaan. We hadden ruim van te voren geboekt en dus hadden ze vooraf al kunnen doen. Verder werd de avond goed aangepakt. Snelle bediening. Oog voor glazen vullen. Voorgerecht was groots. Heerlijk en werd goed ontvangen. Hoofdgerecht ging wat chaotisch en het eten was lauw. (Was ook wel erg druk) Daarna het dessert. Niets op aan te merken. Gewoon genoeg en lekker. Zou ik deze brasserie aanraden? Zeker. Maar ik denk dat ik het nog een keer, alleen met mijn partner terug ga beleven. Volgens mij geniet je wat intenser van de atmosfeer.

Met een social deal aanbieding gegeten, uitstekend! Mooie gerechten, vriendelijke bediening.

Serveerster weigert de kaart te geven als je er om vraagt....

De ambiance op het marktplein is gezellig, maar het eten is niet geweldig. De kipsate was lauw, niet goed van smaak en veel te weinig saté saus. Personeel is meer bezig met elkaar dan met hun gasten. Toen we het gezegd hadden over de matige kwaliteit van eten werd gezegd: we geven het door! Geen excuses of een kopje koffie ter compensatie aanbieden. Plus dat de prijs van 1 biertje en 1 rivella meer dan 10 euro is … dat vind ik wel erg prijzig. Ik raad deze eetgelegenheid niet aan.

Als je ijsdessert 10 minuten op een tafeltje staat voordat het uitgeserveerd wordt, dan weet je het wel.

Tafeltjes stonden hutje mutje op elkaar. Niet gezellig. Eten matig. Voorgerecht, toetje was aardig. Misschien komt het omdat we zelf goed kunnen koken en dat je daardoor kritisch bent

Leuke locatie, goeie inrichting, vriendelijk personeel. Alleen het eten was helaas echt niet goed. Droge risotto en doorgekookte groene asperges. Voor de prijzen die ze rekenen verwacht ik een betere kwaliteit.

Alles klopt, behalve het eten. Vriendelijke, jonge bediening en een leuke ambiance. Helaas was het eten niet geweldig: de risotto was veel te droog, de hamburger was ok. het toetje was lekker maar kwam niet handgemaakt over. Dat is op zich jammer, maar het is daarnaast ook vrij duur.

Wat een leuk restaurant. Gereserveerd met sociale deal dus nog knap goedkoop ook. Heerlijk eten en vriendelijke en vlotte bediening.

Alles sauber, schöne Sitze und Tische, aber das Essen ist eine Katastrophe. Das Steak war durch und von der Konsistenz wie ein Braten, Pommes kalt und gefüllte Champignons mit vollsynthetik Käse und Soße...dazu sehr kleine Portionen, dafür aber hohe Preise. Fazit: sitzen, gucken und Bier trinken perfekt, Essen ist ein No-Go.

Mooi pand met groot terras in hartje Hattem. Maar de terras ervaring was eenmalig. Zeer trage, piepjonge en onervaren bediening en erg duur. We bestelde de warmgerookte zalmbuikjes met mierikswortel . Het bleken echter koud gerookte zalmplakken te zijn. Ook de uitdrukkelijke wens voor wit brood kwam niet door, we kregen bruin. Uiteindelijk was de rekening ook behoorlijk gepeperd. Al met al eenmalige ervaring en slechts drie sterren. Wel jammer zit zoveel meer in!!!!

Goede en vrolijke bediening, geweldig goede lunch met eendenborstfilet.

Op zich lekker gezeten en gegeten op het terras. Na wat menukaarten te hebben vergeleken in Hattem hier neergestreken omdat we de warmgerookte zalmbuikjes met mierikswortel wilden. Bleken echter koud gerookte zalmplakken te zijn en de mierikswortel was ver te zoeken. Er werd gezegd dat bij de sukade friet zat, maar bleek later niet zo te zijn. Als service wel gekregen. Alles was wel prima te eten en we hebben hier een fijne avond gehad. Sukade was heerlijk mals. Personeel was erg aardig en vlot, maar verstand van zaken kan nog wat aan gewerkt worden.

Heel gezellige brasserie op de markt van Hattem. Lekkere gerechten, goede bediening en een heel mooi terras. Prijzen correct voor de geboden kwaliteit.
