After a walk in Hattem, we drove on to have lunch here. Beautiful location and cozy terrace. The service was friendly and came and went. Man man had the deluxe bouncer and I had the Waldcorn Piri Piri. My husband's bouncer had no Parmesan cheese in it. Too bad, we didn't say anything about that. But unfortunately the chicken was still raw. That is not just a mistake but a big miss. The plate was taken away again and after waiting a while, my husband had already finished his sandwich, my order was brought. This time it was cooked well. An apology was made and refreshments offered for the inconvenience. We have agreed to this.

Outside there is a playground next to one of the terraces In short: a wonderful place to go, especially in combination with walking in the beautiful woods.

When serving, the food for 2 children was not included; It is not known why, but it was not fun. Had a High Wine today. What a disappointment. Previous experiences were always so good but now it was 'easily dismissed'. A board with cheese, sausage and olives. Then a fried drink mix………. Not worth repeating. We expressed our dissatisfaction and the response was... yes, the wine has become so expensive... Won't come back again.

Fantastic food. Very good portions. It was extremely busy as there was a chocolate festival happening in the village. The staff accommodated the extra people by setting up new tables. They stayed calm and professional under immense pressure. I'll be visiting again under normal circumstances.

We had invited a friendly couple to eat at Molecaten. When we asked for the menu, we were told that it had been abolished and we were therefore forced to read the menu (attached to a QR picture on the table) with our mobile phone. scan. Because I didn't have a cell phone with me at the time, I asked if they had a menu for me in this case: this was refused. For example, I had to scroll through the menu on their tiny screens with the others in our party. My guests opted for steak tips that tasted satisfactory, and for myself I ordered a schnitzel with bacon strips. This was so well done and dry, and the bacon strips so salty, that it gave me hiccups and I had to drink a lot to get rid of the hiccups; the miniscule amount of puree was smeared over the edge of my cold plate and reminded me of a line under a signature (of the chef)? Compared to other occasions, the fries had to be ordered separately and were placed on the table in a large Febo cone, with a cone with cheap fries sauce on top. After the meal, to surprise us, a small drum from grandmother's time was placed on our table with the message that it contained some treats. When we opened it, it turned out to be almost empty except for a few sweets. One of us, now quite frustrated with the whole turn of events, went to the back to have the drum refilled. The visit to Molecaten was difficult for me to digest, as was the lump of schnitzel in my stomach.

We had dinner and the party here on our wedding anniversary. What a great location this is! Half of the inn is reserved for you - the covered terrace and the room next to it, which you can see from the covered terrace. There is also a bridal room for the bridal couple to retreat for a while. This was really nice that the option was there. There is also a toilet for the bride. First we had a delicious meal on the covered terrace, then the party started, where the older party guests could retire to the terrace (but were still very involved in the party room) and the rest could party in the hall. The staff is super friendly and wants to do everything for you to make your day unforgettable. Between the party and dinner, my dress contained a lot of twigs and dirt from the forest, which is of course to be expected. Now the staff didn't hesitate for a second and there were three of them cleaning my dress, while one person was busy with the dustpan and dustpan. End result - my dress was completely clean again. Are you getting married and still unsure about a location? Then visit this location and experience the atmosphere that the inn radiates.

It's a bit gloomy and dark inside. Lots of chairs and tables on the terrace. This makes it look very full and you have the feeling that the table next to you can listen to everything you say.

Niet echt van deze tijd en bij de vraag wat de vegetarische opties waren was de mededeling dat die er niet waren maar dat de vleeskroketten vervangen konden worden door de vega bitterballen. Die ‘kon je namelijk ook op brood prakken ‘😂 Daarnaast alleen een digitale kaart via de telefoon. Voor mijn oma van meer dan 90 jaar niet echt een optie.

The extensive range of meals (Veluwse coffee table XL), the reasonable prices and, above all, the friendly welcome were the deciding factor for us. And we have not regretted it for a moment, because last Saturday we had a wonderful party at this beautiful location. Everything was above expectations; the setup was beautiful and spacious, both inside and outside (fortunately we had beautiful weather), the food was delicious and more than enough for everyone. Some people with allergies also received special attention! We received feedback from many guests that it was a fantastic location and that they also really liked the food. All in all, we can highly recommend Herberg Molecaten, including its very friendly hostess, to everyone! Excellent 5*

Prachtige locatie - bos, adellijke woning in de buurt, mooi om te wandelen. Je zou denken... dan is de herberg van dergelijke stand. Helaas, ik betaalde dik 3 euro voor ongeveer 100cc cappuccino uit een smal hoog koffiekopje, dat uit een volautomaat werd getrokken. De stoelen zijn niet fijn, je zakt laag achterover. Het broodje was wel lekker, maar ik betwijfel zeer of het brood volkoren was (zoals beloofd), volgens mij was het bruin (dus eigenlijk wit) met wat donkere granen. De bediening was wel vlot. De wc ruimte was vies (laag stof op de randjes, spinnenwebje in de geurstokjes - langer dan een paar dagen niet geraakt) en dus was ik ook niet zeker over de hygiëne van de toilet zelf.

A beautiful location, we enjoyed it upon arrival. Also a nice play area for the children if you sit on the terrace and we have to wait a little longer. But that wait became at least 2 hours later for the main courses! Especially with children who have to wait such a long time for food, it is not feasible. A waitress did her best to pass on the allergies of some kids as best she could. We understand that not everything can always run perfectly, especially when it is busy. But the fun was taken away by that long wait, which should have been a special occasion for us with the family present.

Herberg Molecaten was always a chic, tidy affair. Just a few tips to help you enjoy the simple things. Had a drink with extras on the outdoor terrace with several people. Coffee in any form and a little extra completes it, think of a cookie, chocolate... make something up, but give it a little extra! Apple pie, serve it with real whipped cream and not with the cheap whipped cream which has already melted when the fork has to be inserted, this is really not possible. If the simple thing doesn't get the attention, it will soon end up being just a drink. And for the atmosphere, the outdoor terrace with its plastic roof is nothing to look at, as terribly dirty as it is. I say clean this roof, you really shouldn't want to open the terrace to your guests with this dirty roof.

Great restaurant, but a bit of a shame that you have to order normal side dishes such as potatoes, fries or vegetables etc. separately from most dishes, while the price is quite high.

Molecaten is a popular place for family gatherings or for friends to meet on the outdoor terrace. If you want that, you need to make a reservation. Otherwise, there is usually limited room for spontaneous visits. The coffee tastes good and is served professionally by the staff. It is nice and relaxed in the forest with the babbling water of the watermill.

Had a lovely lunch with husband and mother-in-law. The only downside for which I could not give a star rating was viewing the menu via QR code. I hate this especially since corona. Very sorry. But otherwise out of the art and a wonderful place.

Unfortunately, this Inn missed the boat. The onion soup is a stock cube with onions and a piece of toast with cheese. The mussels have a rock-hard fried breading layer. The schnitzel is poorly seasoned with way too much onion. The pike-perch was ok, so were the prawns, but man, what a terrible sauce. Should contain lobster but it is a tasteless whole. The cauliflower was probably already prepared in the afternoon, tough and tasteless. We were looking forward to this but will never return. The girls who served us were attentive.

Ample parking, excellent food, good service. A few tables were occupied where we were, so there was little atmosphere.

It already started upon arrival. Electric car had to be charged, only the charging point was broken. There were 4 of us. The meter of all kinds of snacks was tasty, but snacks really don't belong here. The prices for the drinks were very high. A specialty beer for 7.10 Euro, draft beer for 6.1 Euro. I had the worst main course of the 4, Fish and Chips: 3 soggy kibbles and a few squid rings hidden between way too many fries, and that for 21.50 Euro. It's really scandalous that they dare to offer this to someone for that price. The sweet potato fries that came with the other dishes were definitely not fresh. The kitchen should take a look at Gordon Ramsey sometime. This kitchen was really below par. And in addition, the price for the dishes and drinks is simply way too high.

Een prachtige entourage. Bestellen per telefoon, jammer dit. Kost veel tijd, soms kloppen de instellingen niet, waardoor je met iemand mee moet kijken, absoluut niet gebruiksvriendelijk. Koude eieren bij het 12 uurtje en daar de deuren geschilderd waren, wat wel was aangegeven overigens, deed men totaal geen moeite een papiertje of id aan te reiken, toen iemand toch groene vingers had opgelopen. Absoluut gemiste kansen. Voor ons geen herhaling

We werden op het drukke terras eerst een tijdje genegeerd, maar toen we eenmaal besteld hadden was de koffie er snel. Wel kwam er regelmatig een bolderkar langs met heel veel lawaai, dat stoorde me echt.

Heerlijke lokatie om te lunchen, eten, wandelen, fietsen. Hier kom je helemaal tot rust. Een echte aanrader.

2x trio broodjes besteld als eerste voorgerecht en deze waren helaas heel erg droog. (Bijna 10 euro bij elkaar) Nadat er gevraagd werd of het naar wens was hebben we dit dan ook aangegeven. Daarna kregen we ons voorgerecht en dat was ècht perfect. Bij het afhalen van de lege borden hebben wij gevraagd of het hoofdgerecht wat later geserveerd kon worden zodat we het voorgerecht nog konden laten zakken. Nog geen 10 min later kwamen ze toch met het hoofdgerecht aan. Nadat 1 van ons vriendelijk aangaf dat dit niet de bedoeling was en wij dit toch duidelijk hadden gevraagd, maar dat het nu niet anders is, zei de zeer jonge serveerster niets en zette alles neer. Niet eens een excuses. Nadat mijn vriendin zei tegen ons dat dit de laatste keer was dat we hier kwamen, kwam de ik denk eigenaresse alle gerechten weg halen zonder iets te vragen. Ze zei wel geïrriteerd als je het aangegeven heb dan is dat zo. Mijn vriendin zei nog sorry terwijl er niets terug gezegd werd. De rest van de tijd werden we compleet genegeerd door het personeel ondanks dat de glazen leeg waren. Nadat we opnieuw het hoofdgerecht kregen werden we weer compleet genegeerd. Hoofdgerecht was perfect qua smaken. Jammer alleen dat je Aardappeltjes/ friet apart moet bestellen en dat dus in totaal bijna 10 euro extra kost! We namen nog een desert en daarna kwam de dame waarvan wij denken dat het de eigenaresse is vragen of we voor de laatste ronden nog koffie/ thee wilde. Ook dit hebben wij genuttigd en terwijl wij dit nog geen 3 min op tafel hadden werd er door de bewuste dame een doosje op tafel gezet met de mededeling of we wilde afrekenen, omdat ze dicht gaan. Ik ben nog nooit een restaurant vòòr 22:00 uur letterlijk uitgegooid. Iets meer dan 250 euro was de rekening en dan nog geen sorry voor het ongemak of het oudbakken trio broodje van 5 euro!! Had dan de koffie of iets van het huis gegeven. Bij het weg gaan (uiteraard zonder fooi, jammer want wij geven altijd dik fooi) werd er door de dames van de bediening niets gezegd, geen dag, geen fijne avond, niets!! De enige die het daar goed begrijpt hoe het werkt is de heer achter de bar. Hij wenste ons dus dan ook als enige een fijne avond. Jammer want qua eten is het perfect! Vervelend is inderdaad dat de kaart via een QR code moet op je telefoon. Wij hebben net als meerdere gasten in het restaurant en fysieke kaart gevraagd. Deze is er dus wel! Al met al een geweldige omgeving qua restaurant, personeel is tè jong en onvriendelijk en dat is zo jammer zeker omdat het eten ondanks dat het aan de tè dure kant is goed smaakt. Als je een klasse restaurant wilt uitstralen qua prijs en accomodatie neem dan ook zeer goed en vriendelijk personeel in dienst.
