Incredibly good!!! Puzzled to eat a fondue more than 1000km from the Alps but really not disappointed, everything was perfect and almost better than in the Alps... hardly believable, the service is great and the quality wonderful, price is very correct too, I absolutely recommend!!!

For me, Des Alpes is a special place, super friendly staff, owner is delightful, and the ambience is sublime. We had delicious food, great wine, overlooking the canal, enjoying the late summer sun in Amsterdam. Highly recommend. Thanks to all for an amazing night.

Moving to the new place was a truly great decision. What a lovely place and a beautiful patio. We had a delicious lunch, and my husband was so happy with the truly excellent pâté. We'll be back soon for the fondue in the evening!

Nos topamos con Des Alpes y estamos muy contentos de haberlo hecho. Un hermoso restaurante con personal amable e informativo encantador y un propietario maravilloso. La comida, tuvimos raclette, era divertido y delicioso al igual que los cócteles. Espero hacer una visita de regreso y llevaré mi gorro rosa des Alpes.

Had (again) such a lovely dinner at Bistrot des Alpes in Amsterdam! The new place feels like a cozy Alpine chalet — warm, charming, and full of character. We had the gratin de Crozet and the Tartiflette, and both were absolutely delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home, making recommendations about pairing wine. It honestly felt like a little getaway to the French Alps, right in the city. Can’t wait to go back! Also small detail, it is cheap for Amsterdam's standard and yet so delicious and complete. My favorite place in Amsterdam.

The reason for this 1 star review is the fact that you're serving foie gras on your menu. An incredibly cruel form of animal torture that is banned in many countries because of it's cruelty. It's absolutely outrageous that you're still choosing to serve this in 2025. I hope you'll discuss this with your colleagues and remove it from your menu, thanks.

Incredibly nice food but unfortunately service was very unfriendly to tourists. Though we were tourists from across Europe (Italy, Czech, Irish) with our common shared language being English we conversed in English and we found a lot of under the breath remarks and eye rolling from both the waitress and other patrons which - not being English we clearly understood - made us feel very uncomfortable and not welcome. We were not loud, or drunk at all but very much kept to ourselves and still felt a distinct air of hostility. If you are Dutch, can imagine it is a nice place to eat. If a tourist, then stay clear to avoid ruining your evening which is a great shame.

Simply incredible restaurant! From the moment we entered, we had the impression of being in France. The staff was perfect: very kind, smiling, and speaking both French and English. We were offered a small appetizer, and it was really delicious. The fondue, very generous, was excellent, with quality products. The crème brûlée was also very successful. And to top it all off, the prices are very affordable. We will come back as soon as possible!

Fantastic cosy atmosphere, friendly staff. Most importantly the food was absolutely delicious . I had the racklet and it was an amazing experience cooking it on the little charcoal grill on our table.

Brilliant. Fondues are a must. The rest of the dishes are very good too. Desserts provide an ending on par with the meal.

We ate at Bistro des Alpes during our weekend in Amsterdam and we had a great time. The starters were delicious and the Porcini Fondue was creamy and generous. We were made very welcome and the service was perfect. Unfortunately we no longer had room to have dessert even though the lemon meringue tart caught our eye :) Thank you very much for this great discovery!

Amsterdam is sowieso top en dan eten in een bistro met Franse styling en kaasfondue: wij keken er naar uit. Het was prachtig zonnig weer en de deuren stonden wij open waardoor je binnen ook de lente voelde. De attributen, onder andere ski’s , mutsen en een slee geven het gevoel van in de Alpen te zijn. Alleen daar spreken ze geen Engels en hier wel. Geen probleem maar dat brengt me op het personeel. Gehaast en onvriendelijk. Niet aardig. Dat viel echt tegen. De kaasfondue was goed, niet bijzonder. Charcuterie erbij was echt lekker. Geen bier van de tap alleen uit de fles. IPA vond ik niks, Vedett biertje: top. Een glas Sauvignon Blanc voor 10 euro vind ik duur in dit restaurant. Al met al gezellig gehad met onze vrienden maar niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Raclettes with hot coals, what a party and how delicious. Cheese, creamy potatoes and delicious meats. Cheerful service, so a great evening!

We ate here with the 3 of us. Raclette for 2 people and 1x a salmon steak. The Raclette was tasty but far too small a piece of cheese for two adult hungry men. There was also no bread and when we asked for it we got a container with 6 slices of baguette... The salmon really made no sense! A piece of salmon, I think 150 grams, with a few dollops of sauce and some kind of potato porridge. They should serve this as a starter, it was so little. No fries or nothing. The tent looks nice on the inside, but the staff does not speak Dutch and does not seem very friendly. Ultimately 100 euros lighter and back home hungry. Ridiculous.

Everything about this place is great! The atmosphere feels just like a chalet, and the wooden decor gives off an amazing scent, making it feel like you’re in the French Alps. The food is incredible— as a cheese lover, it was my personal paradise. And most importantly, the staff is friendly and welcoming!

The full french fantasy. I've already been to this restaurant twice in a month, it definitely made its way through my heart and my stomach. If you're French (like me) and you miss a little bit of French touch in your daily life, you better run there ! The raclette is amazing, the products are tasty, the DESERTS... In one word : obsessed. The staff is super friendly, speaks french and english, so you get the full french immersion. I came with 3 different friends from 3 different nationalities and they all fell in love with the place. HIGHLY recommended.

What a find! Such a good restaurant. We only stayed in Amsterdam two nights, although this was quite a walk away from central it was absolutely worth it. The food was insanely good, we had the raclette! Would certainly revisit when returning to Amsterdam

Big laugh with the staff at dessert time (while waiting for the minutes) And of course GO LENS Update for the team: lawsuit received 🤣 at the beginning of February for an infraction on 12/21 payable until the end of March🙃😉

Tuvimos una deliciosa comida raclette aquí y estábamos muy satisfechos con la comida proporcionada. Fue delicioso y de gran calidad. El ambiente del restaurante era muy acogedor, con un personal encantador.

Don't get me wrong it's good alps food in the center of Amsterdam, however, knowing this kind of food, this is overpriced for what it is especially the fondue, moreover I'll appreciate a little effort on the Charcuterie that seems to be very blend and cheap, like i mean the price will be worth it, if the chartcuterie was better quality ! A hidden gem in the heart of Amsterdam tucked in a small lane. From the inviting ambiance and decor to the attentive service and exquisite cuisine, every moment was a delight. This place offers an exceptional dining experience with incredibly delicious food. The menu features a selection of classic Swiss and French dishes crafted to perfection. Would definitely come back here again, and definitely recommend it.

Very nice place, service was impeccable the French waiter offered us to make 2 different pots of fondue cause my friend was coeliac to make sure we don’t do cross contamination and that was very much appreciated ! Would go back again to try their raclette and tartiflette ! The portions are very good and had a nice wine ! 100% recommend

Very cosy place with a nice intimate atmosphere and cute decorations that do make you feel like you’re in a French Chalet. Our server could not have been nicer - attentive and sweet even when very busy. The Raclette was delicious, as was the charcuterie and the potatoes perfectly cooked. I wish the salad portion was bigger because it was also very tasty. Overall a lovely evening, would definitely come back!

Very delicious fondue! Charcuterie and smoked butter were excellent! You will never leave this place hungry. Do make a reservation in advance as it’s usually fully booked.

The food itself was good, but we had the feeling that we were sitting on the kicker. Everything quickly, so in at 1800 and out at 2000. Not a pleasant after-dinner meal, because the 2nd session had to be covered. Not worth repeating.

A place that takes you straight to Savoy. Service is probably the warmest to which I have ever been treated in any restaurant, the food arrives fast; and the cheese and charcuterie they have is unbeatable -. I have to go back to ask which Annecy butcher they use. Merci bien

The food was tasty. What we found very disappointing is that none of the staff spoke Dutch. The menu was partly in Dutch, but partly not. If the staff does not speak Dutch, it is difficult to make a choice. Via Google translate, in the end made a choice the staff was also not very friendly.

This restaurant is a charming, cozy little spot tucked away on a super quiet and hidden street in the city. We went on a recommendation and were left with mixed feelings. 🔼The appetizers were excellent, well-matched in terms of flavor and combinations. The selection of cheeses and meats, along with the cold starter, was great. The fondue was good quality and pretty tasty. 🔽What felt strange? The service. Not all of the staff were friendly, only two ladies were really attentive. But we had to wait a long time to be served. It was also odd that for 50 euros for two people, the classic fondue only came with bread. We had to order vegetables separately, which I found quite strange. Overall, we enjoyed the experience. Hopefully, you’ll continue to improve the service and menu options.

Very good food, we had the fondue with cured meats and it was excellent. The crème brûlé was also delicious. The only complaint is that the bill is a little too salty. €60 for a fondue for two is a little too much in my opinion.
