My wife and I traveled across Europe for the past month, and our meal at Mont Blanc was hands down the best we had. In fact, we were talking during dinner and agreed - this experience ranks in our top 3 of all time. Everything from the food to the service to the atmosphere was impeccable. The attention to detail is truly unmatched, and the surprise-and-delight factor is second to none. If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience, I highly recommend Mont Blanc!

Frankly, an absolute joke that this restaurant does not have two Michelin stars above the door. Probably the best fine dining experience of my life. Had the 6-course chef's menu with the prestige wine flight. Every single course completely knocked out of the park. Will never forget this. My advice to visitors is get in here while you can because once the Michelin guide finally wakes up you will be booking weeks in advance.

Amazing food - great flavors with incredible touch of detail to every dish. The service was excellent and the little references along the way to Mt Blanc make it a great experience overall. Must be very close to a star... recommend!

Como amantes de la buena mesa elegimos este restaurante durante nuestra visita a Ámsterdam y ciertamente no nos decepcionó. Optamos por el menú degustación de 6 platos, que al final resultó ser mucho más! Además de 2 Amuse Bouche y un delicioso pan recién hecho y mantequilla ahumada, hubo un pre-postre y chocolates después. Estábamos demasiado llenos para pedir el plato de queso, pero creo que al final contamos 13 "platos". La calidad de la comida era excelente y muy bien presentada. El servicio fue excelente y amable. Sin duda lo recomendaría y volveremos allí la próxima vez que visitemos Ámsterdam.

We had an outstanding experience at Mont Blanc. From the amuse-bouches to the desserts, everything was marvelous. The wine pairing was also impeccable: it was truly refreshing to discover more wines from the Savoie region (even as French people). This evening was particularly special thanks to the staff. Another restaurant which thinks its fancy, but the food is just mediocre. We have booked a table for 14 Feb, the only option was a 5 course menu costing 140 euros. Price could be OK for a good service, good ambiance and good food. But the place had serious ventilation issues with such a dump air because of which you have hard time keeping awake. Second thing is the speed. Our dinner started at 7:30. Since the dishes are small we have eaten rather fast, but still we could only leave the place at midnight! Many tables have left before the main course since it was around 10:45 when we could finally get the main course. At 11:30 came the dessert. Hence we were stuck there from 7:30 to 00:00 with a 5 course meal, whose taste were just OK, in an ambiance so hard to stay awake. I guess the only good thing were the plates and cutlery, they were indeed fancy and beautiful.

That was such a great evening! It was not just dinner, not just food, not just service. The whole experience, the atmosphere the staff create there is just marvellous! Don’t go, run there, it’s totally must-visit place in Amsterdam! Very valuable, not overpriced, not overbooked and not overcrowded. Such a cozy, unique and perspective restaurant!

We had an exceptional experience at Mont Blanc. The food, presentation, and service were second to none. Each dish was presented with great attention to detail, and it tasted and looked wonderful. The service was very attentive. The sommelier gave excellent wine recommendations, and we tried wines from the restaurant owner's region. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner there.

Dit restaurant in de Amsterdamse Pijp is een pareltje. Fantastische avond gehad en heerlijk gegeten! Bij binnenkomst werden wij zeer welkom geheten en begonnen wij ons aperitief bij het haardvuur. Vervolgens het 6-gangendiner, stuk voor stuk originele gerechten bereid met verse ingrediënten van hoge kwaliteit. Esthetisch met een verrassende en harmonieuze smaakbeleving, dit alles in een sfeervol interieur. Wij zijn echt in de watten gelegd door de kookkunsten van de chef en zijn team. Een avondje uit op het hoogste culinaire niveau. Chapeau! Wij komen zeker terug.

One of the best dinners I ever had in Amsterdam!

Amazing hidden gem in Amsterdam food scene. Not only the tasting menu is awfully creative, but I really liked the harmony throughout our stay there: - the alpine feeling of the room with lots of wood; - the consistency in every dish, where one ingredient is the cornerstone of the plate and the remaining ones are enhancing it, providing you with a play of colors and textures without ever losing sight of the produce they serve! Many congratulations to the chef and his team, run there before it becomes too popular and takes months to secure a reservation.

We had a fantastic experience here. Extremely attentive service and great food. I went for the 7 courses with the wine pairing and was not disappointed. All the dishes were creative, well tasting and I liked all the small details. Example of this were all the different Opinel knives that came with the dishes, but also the choice for the pairing with the Chartreuse for one the deserts. Best part of the evening was the cheese cart towards the end, what a fantastic selection! We also read the review in Parool and we thought it didn't cover the experience this restaurant offers adequately. Looking forward to coming again in the future.

Amazing experience. The service is fantastic (Thibaut, Pierre and Florian are so attentive) and the food is so amazing, very delicate and authentic. Every course is a different experience, a unique mix of taste, texture and smell. Also love the way the food is presented and explained. They go the extra mile to really make sure you enjoy the evening as guests. I don’t know how they do not have a Michelin star yet. They fully deserve it!

Mont Blanc is the culinary jewel of De Pijp, where the cooking is better than in any one-star Michelin restaurant in Amsterdam. The refinement of the menu delights and uplifts you as a guest. Because the menu takes you on a culinary journey through the Savoy, after several visits this year I have the impression that I have already gotten to know this area a bit, even though I have never been there. In fact, the restaurant is a “Gesamtkunstwerk” where every detail has been very successfully thought through and beautifully executed. The wine list also surprises you with special and, for me, unprecedented jewels from the Savoy. The icing on the cake is the incomparable cheese trolley and you cannot choose in advance and go for the entire six-course menu, you simply cannot resist such beautiful cheeses. In all respects this is a very generous restaurant and in this abundance you can relax as you would after a week's holiday. What an asset Mont Blanc restaurant is, not only for De Pijp but for the whole of Amsterdam and beyond.

Esto no fue solo una cena con amigos, fue un verdadero viaje a Francia, a las faldas del Mont Blanc, en Amsterdam. Para empezar, es extremadamente acogedor y una vez que llegas te sientes transportado inmediatamente. Ayuda que el servicio sea el mejor que he tenido en Amsterdam durante 10 años y contando. Difícil de describir la comida, excepto que era creativo, maravillosamente presentado y solo viaja en usted, lo más encantador. Food was great; sublime flavor combinations. However, we did not think the wine pairing was strong and the quantity did not do justice to a full-fledged wine arrangement (or more of a bob arrangement). This gave - also given the price - a somewhat unpleasant aftertaste.

From far the best restaurant I've done in Amsterdam (and anywhere else), would 100% deserve Michelin stars, it's an amazing experience that I highly recommand.

Mont Blanc offered a unique experience, providing and explaining a journey through each course. The staff were very attentive too and attended to all our needs. We also love the interior, its intimate but also oozed luxury.

Climbing a mountain in the flattest of cities  below sea level should to not be a culinary endeavor, but that's what the team at Mont Blanc in Amsterdam set out to accomplish. In the fairly casual setting of a minimalist  modern French alpine cottage, all focus falls on the talented staff, front and back, who preform their craft almost on stage as they prepare your meal in direct view of the dinners. The conceptual point of the meal is ascending the namesake peak, plate by plate. The food is fundamentally regional alpine French but alchemically transmutated into the intriguing sometimes bizzare assortment of dishes they serve. The presentation is delicate and neat, everything in its place; clean and purposeful, yet lacy and demure. As you hike up the culinary mountain you are presented with little ecosystems in each dish, at the forest floor you move a leaf, edible, to find a porcini mushroom and berries, the mushrooms made of a porcini mousse shaped like its cap, the berries are fermented, you clean your plate with a tiny brioche. Most of the dishes in the degustion menus( five or six) flow as above, all executed with an extremely high level of precision, showcasing flavors of the earth often herbaceous, floral, while slanting towards sharp and sour. Their cheese cart, which I unfortunately couldn't partake due to being full, looked amazing. The service was outstanding. A small but very attentive wait staff moved the show along in lockstep with the kitchen, quick to smile , eager to please. The mâitre d' was perticularly charming, obviously believing in the restaurant  and passionately giving his all even though it was a Tuesday night service. All in all Mont Blanc is a cutting edge contemporary fine dining restaurant in a very trendy part of Amsterdam. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to impress or interested in a something a little different, a little interesting. Thank you Mont Blanc.

The service was excellent, but we were not blown away with the food and wine, especially for the price point. The food and wine pairings were very good, but not outstanding as we had hoped. We also found the wine pours slightly on the small size (not enough to fully enjoy with the food course). We are very grateful as they catered wonderfully to our food allergies. Unfortunately, there was a group of five men at the table immediately behind us who were very boisterous, one of them in particular was very loud and continually swearing and dropping f-bombs, which may have colored our experience as not something we expected at a restaurant of this caliber.

I wanted to go for a long time and I was superbly impressed. They definitely put a lot of passion in what they do. Very friendly but professional service, food was excellent and the presentation very beautiful and meticulous ! Started with a drink by the fireplace, one of the most gezellig moments I’ve had in Amsterdam !

Wij hebben een hele fijne avond gehad bij Mont Blanc. Om te beginnen is het onthaal heel gastvrij. We voelden ons gelijk welkom. Alle gerechten (5 of 6 gangen) zijn ware kunstwerken en heerlijk. Voor mij als vegetariër deed het menu niet onder aan dat van mijn man. Ook de wijnen en de kazen waren een geweldige toevoeging (zeker niet overslaan als je er bent!). Al met al kunnen wij niks anders dan alle lof voor iedereen bij Mont Blanc en het toeschrijven van vijf sterren.

We had an amazing dinner at Mont Blanc to celebrate a 40th birthday. We went all out and started with cocktails followed by a full tasting menu with wine pairings and a cheese course before dessert. Everything was wonderful from the food to the service. The chef has real talent and we found the various courses to be imaginative, and delicious! We were a little hesitant to try pigeon, but we were pleasantly surprised by the presentation and taste. The service staff was attentive and enthusiastic. We wouldn't hesitate to stop in again next time we're in Amsterdam.

Amazing meal and an amazing value. I don't usually do fine dining but this was a great experience - they only do one seating so for us the meal was about 4 hours. I recommend the wine pairings. Listed as 6 courses but a lot of them come with a little side and there are a few amuse bouche so more like 10.

Wederom hebben wij een geweldige avond gehad bij Mont Blanc. Fantastisch gegeten, prachtige opmaak, smaakexplosies, heerlijke wijnen en bijzonder aardig en toegewijd personeel.

We were given this recommendation by a friend and told it was a must for our time in Amsterdam. And it did not disappoint and surpassed any expectation that we may have had. Nothing could be faulted. The service and attentiveness of the staff, the ambiance, the quality and presentation of the food, the taste and the well matched wines were all first class. We chose the 5 course menu with matching wines plus cheese. Each complimented the other perfectly. We kept saying after each course that it can’t get better but it did!! Another bonus was being able to see into the kitchen and appreciate the skill and the professionalism also of that team. It reinforced why this is a truely amazing dining experience. And most certainly if the opportunity arose we would most certainly visit again.

A great experience at the table! Originally from Haute-Savoie, staying in Amsterdam, it was a must for us! Obviously we had to go there. It was done. This restaurant clearly deserves its Michelin star. The mountain terroir is highlighted in fine and original cuisine (special mention for dishes based on gentian). A great success, both in terms of the combination of flavors and the presentation of the plates. The service that comes with it is clearly worthy of the meal (well done Florian!), and the wine list, focused on the region, makes us rediscover and love our regional products a little more. On the reccomendation of friends, we made our way to Mont Blanc. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a beautiful, ski chalet type vibes. Cozy, warm, and welcoming. We opted for the 5 course menu and Cheese Trolly. Every dish we had was amazing, not a single miss. The quality of the food, textures, and flavors were really lovely. We also opted for the wine pairing and we've never had such a lovely and thoughtful wine pairing. The sommeliers really know what they are doing. I will say that the meal is a long one. We arrived at 19:00 and left around 00:00. So prepare for that. P.S. the cheese trolly was so fun. You get a short note on all the cheeses, then get to select the ones you'd like to try. Really fun concept and amazing cheeses from the region.

Not a customer, but a neighbour. Not sure why the staff of restaurant have to be talking so loudly outside the restaurant often around 2~4 in the morning, disrupting the quiteness of the neighbourhood in a pretty bad way. So supporting the business of this restaurant (no matter how fantastic the kitchen is) would unfortunately bring harmful impacts to the neighbourhood. A quality business should be respectful to its neighbourhood and not only its customers.

Everything was delicious and better than expected! They welcome you in their small couch in front of the chimney and the 5 courses dinner is beyond great, specially the marigold egg, duck confit and veal. The staff was super friendly all the time. We missed the plateau of cheese but definitely coming back soon to try them.

We had the private room downstairs which was great. The food, service and atmosphere were all fantastic and price wise it was very reasonable.

Beautiful fine dining experience in the area of De Pijp. Especially in winter, this place is super cosy. They have a little wood fire at the entrance where you can have your first drink before going to your table. The food itself is quite the experience in terms of both flavor and how it looks. Worth a visit for a special occasion!

Lovely atmosphere and service, however vegetarian menu was quite subpar in taste. We picked 6 course menu, disappointing start with amuse bouche and first three courses. A lot of tartelletes / tart shells are used, where most of them were very hard and dry. Main dish and deserts were tasty. I see that they changed the menu just this week, so it may be just that, and hopefully they will refine going forward.

Given the quality of the food and the excellent service, I was surprised to get in at short notice. Given most good restaurants in Amsterdam are booked for weeks in advance, this was a surprising exception. The food was outstanding, with a story behind each course, fantastic presentation and an excellent taste consisting of surprising and pleasant flavour combinations. The wine list was brilliant, and the service was more than attentive, with all staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable. A delightful experience all round. Lovely tip of the hat to the beautiful mountain of Mont Blanc, and it's surrounding areas, such as lake annecy, and the aiguilles du midi. I will certainly be going again soon. Highly recommended!

A unique culinary experience in Amsterdam. Worth more than some of the Mich. star restaurants. They stay true to the topic being everything around the alps and even the food is a way up to the Mont Blanc. Service wise, it’s amazing from the waiter to the sommelier and finally the chef. All of them are extremely talented. I recommend 200%!

We had the full experience menu in the renovated private dining room room downstairs. Chef Thibault is doing a stellar work in his kitchen, and delivers a 6-course menu which should absolutely get 1 Michelin star, it is impossible to understand that it isn't the case yet. Great level of attention to details in the presentation of dishes, very tasty food, perfectly cooked ingredients, nice and caring service . Wine menu was really nice (we had Pouilly Fume and Morgon) Ended dinner with a glass of Chartreuse alongside the chimney :-)

All was perfect ! I recommend 100% ! The service was excellent, waiters and owners were very amiable and thoughtful. The dishes were tasty, fine and qualitative. They even make their own butter and bread which were delicious ! The atmosphere and decoration give a good vibe from the Alps. It feels I am back in France!

Service was good, attentive. Explained every dishes that came to our table. We had the bigger tasting menu (I think 6?) Every dish was very good and you can tell the quality and time spent on each dish and plating composition. Overall, it was a very good experience. Just keep in mind you'll be dining 3-4 hours easy. Their bread and the nutty butter was VERY nice. (On top of the menu) Would go back again!

An evening at Mont Blanc Restaurant is one of those memorable events never to be forgotten. Everything here is impeccable. The ambiance with a delightful fireplace, waiting team attentive and effective without ever being over, and, of course, the impressive food and wine. At Mont Blanc they bring ingredients and flavors to another level. Expect to be positively surprised by plates that will make you feel in heaven, or as high as Mont Blanc itself! Wine pairing is definitely a must do. Not only the wine selection is outstanding, but it brings the level of the food to an even higher level. One can clearly see that there has been a lot of work done here. Do not miss the cheese! I strongly recommend Mont Blanc to all seekers of fine dining, this is a place that would and will shine in any fine dining capital in the world.

Fantastische gerechten met daarbij heerlijke wijnen. Gerechten uit de Savoie en omstreken. Ieder gerecht was verrassend. Het wijnarrangement was perfect daarbij. De kaastrolley geweldig. Wat een mooie kazen! Erg vriendelijke en leuke eigenaresse. Prima bediening. Als ik toch een minpuntje moet noemen, is dat je betaalt voor kraanwater. We komen graag terug!

Clearly a restaurant aspiring to have one or more michelin stars. Food and service was impeccable and truly unique. However from start to finish our 6 course meal took 4 hours. This really isn’t acceptable and it turned what should have been a special experience into something tedious. The wine menu also leaves a lot to be desired as options from Savoie, Burgundy and Champagne are varied and fun, no other wine regions get much attention with only a few options for other major regions. Considering the proximity to Savoie I would expect to see some Rhone wines for example. The wine pairing was well intentioned with its tour of Savoie concept but disappointing in its execution, the reds being particularly uninspired crispy medium-bodied wines. The focus should be on doing the best pairing possible first and highlighting a particular region second.

Unbelievable! A culinary journey we will never forget. ❤️ I'm a little overwhelmed, I must say. Every dish was a masterpiece, a mix of flavours I could have never imagined, and the dessert literally teared me up 🥹. We were absolutely enchanted by the staff and owners, their passion, knowledge of food, hospitality and warmth. It felt like a cozy living room, like home.

Pure delight! I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant, and it exceeded all expectations. The service was truly amazing, and the way they paired the food with wine was impeccable. The staff's competence added to the overall experience. This restaurant easily ranks among my top three favorites. The chef deserves all the compliments for creating such a memorable meals. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but every penny was absolutely worth it!

Elk gerecht een kunstwerk met goede wijnen en leuke bediening

Wat een fantastisch restaurant. Prachtige gerechten, goede sfeer en fijne bediening. Amuses waren goed maar voorzichtig. Maar wat erna werd geserveerd was Michelin ster waardig. De onhandige "kaaskar" was gevuld met de usual suspects , maar werd gevolgd door een nagerecht waar ik er nog 1 van op had gekund. Het safraancakeje was voor overbodig en eigenlijk het enige minpuntje te noemen van de avond. Chapeau restaurant Mont Blanc!!!
