Unfortunately, my visit to Black Widow was a major disappointment. I had previously been to three other coffeeshops in Maastricht and never had any issues anywhere. I have been living in the Netherlands for over 10 years, and at the entrance I showed a document on my phone confirming my place of residence. In other coffeeshops this was sufficient, but here the staff made an unnecessary issue out of it. The way I was treated felt very unpleasant and discriminatory. I find it hard to understand why someone who has been living in the Netherlands for over 10 years should be treated in this way. On top of that, the prices seem far too high compared to what this coffeeshop offers. I had also previously heard not very good opinions from friends, so after my own experience I definitely cannot recommend it. As for me, I have much better memories of Coffeeshop Mississippi and Coffeeshop Easy Going. Kudos I did not have any such issues with the service there. *Black Widow – 0/5, if I could give zero stars. I do not recommend it and I will definitely not be going back. The customer is our master, they say, but not in this mess. These are also better-rated places, with many more positive reviews, and in my opinion, they operate in a much more professional and serious way. I have been a resident of the Netherlands for over 10 years, and my documents are valid and comply with the law. Other coffeeshops had no problem accepting them, because they clearly have nothing to fear when they follow the rules and properly check the documents. So I really don’t understand why your staff suddenly decided that my documents were invalid. Please don’t try to tell me things that simply aren’t true. I’m a reasonable person and I know what documents I have! If this is how you treat your customers, then customers deserve to know who they are dealing with.

Got my documents all accepted but guy was super disrespectful and had terrible attitude. All ironic from the start. I walked in with an iPad and he was complaining that it was too small for him to read and continued with bad attitude I told him that is not cool and he asked me “do you really wanna do this now?do you want me to let you in or no? Bro this is clearly not the only coffeeshop in Maastricht so obviously I said no I prefer to leave after this treatment. NEVER BUYING ANYTHING FROM THERE AGAIN!

The reviews below definitely confirm the quality/price ratio. When I was there yesterday, they were only allowed to sell state-owned weed... it's state-owned weed... tastes okay. The staff is great! I got a gram of super nice hash for 18 euros yesterday. I've already smoked five and still have half a gram left. Super tasty and a good high.

I've often found the menu disappointing, especially by Maastricht standards. That said, the staff is always friendly, and there's a space downstairs with various games (billiards, foosball, darts, etc.). Definitely a great place to enjoy a joint with friends.

One of the better shops in Maastricht. Staff always friendly, great choice of drinks and sweets and always enough varieties on the menu that are always good and sometimes even super. It's a ride for us, but it's worth it.

I WAS a regular customer here for 3 years, but every time they have to give me 1 or 2 euros back because, for example, I get 1g from 13 euros and I pay with 15 euros, they say we put in 15 euros, while when I weigh at home just contains exactly one gram. If you don't feel like working, you should stay home or just give change back to customers, and don't lie, we've put more in (it's about the principle)

They don't let me serve myself because I'm French-speaking and Dutch-speakers can do this. We are both Belgian

Those were fun times, there used to be children at home... until the law changed and we were no longer allowed. It's all such a shame. Instead of moving forward, we go backwards. Everything takes place on the street again. Back in time, the 1970s. But the best shop for sure! Missed this smoke very much for 30 years. But unfortunately. Belgium must legalize... a backward country

Even when I have Dutch driver license and car on my name with Dutch address they didn't want to sell me. Never had problem like this in any coffeshop. Employees were nice.
