Naovenant in Wijk 00 Centrum

We had a wonderful meal at Naovenant. It's a super cozy spot; we immediately felt at home. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious! The wait time was perfect; we chatted for a bit, and before we knew it, the food was on the table with a smile. We'll definitely be back.

This is one of my favorite cafés in Maastricht. The food is great and perfect for breakfast or lunch. Everyone is extremely nice and welcoming.

Beautifully decorated for Halloween! Delicious selection of food (although the pancakes were a bit small) and very friendly service.

I bought a matcha latte and vlaai at this cafe. The matcha latte was highly sweetened, even though matcha is matcha - I don’t expect somebody would put sugar, pepper, salt, or basil in it, or at least they should have mentioned it. When I asked to switch to a regular latte, they said I’d have to pay again. The vlaai was extremely poor. Not recommending this place and not coming back myself.

Wonderful breakfast, extremely good smoothies. We had a lovely waitor working on her first day and something went wrong. Whole team was very nice then making it a great experience so we returned the next day and enjoyed again the tasty dishes and the nice atmosphere.

What a great café! Café Naovenant (relatively, it's a dialect!) on Helmstraat. Next to the Amrath Hotel. And next to the Vrijthof. Great sandwiches 🎉🎉🎉🎉. And very welcoming. Great staff.

What a fantastic place guys - an I mean it! Roger the owner is super charming and liquids here are absolutely delicious! An Iced Matcha with a mango, passion fruit, strawberry flavour with a special foam is a MUST!! It’s an off grid place close to everything in the City! WHAT A GEM!!

It's sad to say it wasn't a pleasant experience. I'm sure the chef and waiter did their very best, and they were probably a bit understaffed, but there were a few mistakes that we can't overlook. For example, my lactose-intolerant friend asked for an oat milk cappuccino and got a cow's milk cappuccino. I wanted strawberry apple juice, which wasn't available. I then asked for a Fristi, which wasn't available. I then asked for a bagel, which wasn't available. I asked for a panini, which wasn't available... The waiter probably can't do anything about that, but a little reminder before we wanted to order would have been nice. Then the food wasn't great either; the toasted sandwich was tough? And there was a large piece of plastic in it. My friend's food wasn't very good either. There were also a lot of wasps, which isn't really the restaurant's fault, but it was unpleasant. It's a shame we had such an experience.

The owner only sits around chatting with people he knows and isn't proactive. There's also some trash on the tables people are using. It's expensive for what you get. The young guy does a good job.

Had a lovely breakfast. They have delicious bowls and they also serve sandwiches. Definitely recommended, and will definitely come back here.

I just want to add some comments to the Review on the screenshot here. I was there with my friend and I have several comments: 1. The bottle she Kindly asked you to open was not an alcoholic drink. It was a "club mate " so, Iced tea. 2. You have all the rights to deny the action, but I saw the irony, and you were not sarcastic, you were rude. 3. Everyone can have a bad day, but is free still being nice worldwide, just a suggestion for future clients. A simple "irony" can lead to really bad experiences. Wish you great future, and next time. Save the irony 😉 P/S: Few meters away from your bar, a super nice bartender opened the bottle for us 🩵, that we couldn't open because we bought it at the supermarket and they didn't have opener. We were just 2 tourists trying to have a mate drink and ended up having a very bad experience with you.

The best coffee I've had in the Netherlands in years! I really missed tasting good coffee and I finally found a place where I could do it. On Friday I had a coffee here, which I really enjoyed, but also the waiter's treatment was very good, very kind to me and my baby, and he gladly responded to a request I made. Marvelous!

Erg fijne beknopte zaak vlakbij het Vrijthof. Hier ontbeten. Leuke a la carte kaart met veel keuze. Superieure kwaliteit ingrediënten en vriendelijke bediening. Nette prijzen gezien het gebodene. Bijzonder aanbevolen. Honden zijn hier ook welkom en dat was te merken … Maar dat stoorde ons niet.

Very cozy little cafe. Gives off a very homely feel by being cute and festive for December. Waffles we had tasted very fresh and good. The big dog who greeted us was very chill.

Arrived here this morning in a bit of a hurry for breakfast, we were a bit mistaken in time but the sweet lady thought along with us and we could get breakfast for takeaway. Just in the car enjoying the bagel with avocado, the choco dream pancakes 10/10 and the yoghurt bowl with banana bread was also divine! We will definitely come back here and will recommend this place to everyone!

Today we had a really delicious and enjoyable meal and drinks at the Naovenant! We were a large group, and despite our excited children, we were welcomed like family. The host and lady were very warm and hospitable. And the location near the busy Vrijthof is great. Highly recommended. Especially the pancakes with Nutella should not be missed. 😋

Lugar súper acogedor, muy bien decorado para Navidad, sintiéndonos como en una película de Navidad, y como si estuviéramos en la casa del propietario. Phew, this wasn't good! We waited an hour for an egg sandwich and a grilled cheese sandwich. Sandwich was not as ordered, but hey, you've already waited an hour, so let's eat. Then the lady comes to us to ask if we wanted a drink on the house because of the long wait, fine, tasty, just have a cup of coffee. We pay and walk away and only realize later that we have also paid for the make-up coffee.

I ve have had breakfast in many places in and around Maastricht and I must say today was an absolute delight. This is in my opinion, the best place for breakfast. I had a delightful time there eating and drinking, watching the world go by. The best money spent on a meal plus a managed to get a little cuddle from the sweetest dog that there could be. I greatly recommend this to everyone.

Klantonvriendelijk in alles. Eten duurt heel lang, baas belt dat de luifel niet naar beneden mag vanaf z’n vakantie. Duur voor wat je krijgt. Typisch gevalletje: het gaat te goed! Overslaan!

We went here three times during our stay in Maastricht. It was conveniently located, offered great to-go and eat-in service and the dog that greeted us on our last day was adorable. I enjoyed the cinnamon roll and the croissant with nutella.

Food was okay. There was a lot of decoration in the store. This made it difficult for me to place my drink and plate at the bar. The price at checkout was noticeably higher than on the menu. When asked, prices were slightly higher than on the menu. These were still lower than calculated in the cash register system. Sitting at the bar (the one by the window) I have seen them repeat this trick to other customers. In response to my review - all Google images show the same place I was at.

Superleuk tentje met net de juiste dosis hipheid. Zelfs op het eind van een heel zonnige en drukke feestdag (we waren er tweede pinksterdag) nog steeds vol energie en positiviteit. Je komt hier niet te kort.

Supervriendelijke bediening en (in deze tijden) beperkte maar zeer lekkere lunchkaart. Eenvoudige gerechten maar dan met net even iets extras, iets meer culinair. Fantastische tosti's en een heerlijke fish & chips. Probeer ook hun zelfgebrouwen biertje!
